Ever since the lacrima was implanted, Laxus Drayer was never one to get sick, get allergies.. etc. However on his team's latest mission where he invited Gray Fullbuster and Juvia Locksar the resident Ice and Water Mages of the Fairy Tail guild, things went a bit awry. It all started one day when Laxus was staring at the S-Class Board and Lucy, Gray, and Juvia came up having just recently been promoted back to back. Lucy being the last promotion, came upstairs to greet her boyfriend, the Thunder Slayer, and get some extra clothes shopping money. Gray and Juvia were looking for some extra cash between the two of them.
"So Lucy what were you planning on getting?" Juvia asked, curiously.
"I dont know I have a book signing coming up so I wanted to get a quick and dirty solo quest. Although if you guys find one with a massive reward I wouldn't mind accompanying you, maybe we can double with Laxus," Lucy Heartfilia responded back. Juvia nodded. "I wouldn't mind, that sounds like fun and then we can go shopping after the quest, I'm looking for some new clothes myself." Juvia had recently gotten out of the habit of referring to herself in the third person thanks to Gray for helping her through it.
"Hi Blondie!" Laxus greeted his girlfriend, as she approached him, leaning down and giving Lucy a quick kiss on the cheek, "what are you up to?"
"I have a signing coming up and needed some new clothes so I was looking for some extra money and wanted to know if you wanted to go on a quest with Juvia, Gray and I," Lucy responded back.
Laxus sat in thought for a minute and pondered this proposal. He was looking for money for her engagement ring. He'd already told her she was his mate and they'd mated recently. He hummed softly in thought and finally came to a conclusion.
"Yes, ma'am we should," he responded, "Lets do it!" They all studied the board as his Thunder Legion teammates came around the corner joking around about the last mission the three of them had gone on without Laxus.
"Hey Bossman!" The Seith Dark Magic Mage Bixlow greeted cheerfully, his floating heads floating around him repeating his final word "Bossman Bossman" Freed and Evergreen the Script and Fairy Mages also said their greetings to Laxus and the rest of the group standing at the board.
"What are you guys looking at specifically?" Evergreen asked.
"I want a request with Gate Keys as one of the prizes, especially if one of the keys is Aquarius," Lucy piped up. Laxus and the rest of the gang nodded.
"Well we just got back from ours so we wont be joining you on this one but Laxus please keep Lucy safe for us!" Freed exclaimed. Laxus nodded and the Thunder Legion disappeared.
Lucy, Gray, Laxus and Juvia finally chose a request for 30 million Jewel. As they were headed towards Lucy's apartment, Loke finally appeared out of her keys.
"Hello Jane! Hey Thor!" he exclaimed, referring to Lucy and Laxus.. Lucy giggled. "I have some news from the spirit world regarding this request you are about to embark on, wonderful news actually."
"What's up Fuzzball?" Laxus replied, grinning at the Jane comment.
"Where you will be travelling to, Aquarius's key is in the area, that is all I know for now, best wishes Princess, Also Laxus, we should talk later about that surprise for Lucy," Loke responded. Loke jumped up and down and screamed in excitement as Loke disappeared.
"LAXUS DID YOU HEAR THAT!" she practically shouted, jumping onto her boyfriend's chest and giving him a kiss. Gray chuckled and smiled and Juvia giggled as well.
"Well Luce, you may just get your friend back after all," Gray grinned. Lucy's eyes filled with tears at the thought of finally getting her friend and mother figure back to her. After all the pain from the last war she would've never thought there would've been a chance. Alvarez took a lot out of her and made her lose everything she cared about including her friends for a year, but then Laxus in all his glory came and found her at the Grand Magic Games when Blue Pegasus was competing. They'd run into each other. Exchanged communication lacrima numbers and then later that evening ran into each other at the celebration. They hung out together the whole night and then stole a bottle of champagne, a bottle of wine, left for Lucy's apartment and stayed up all night drinking and joking around.
"Lucy! Lucy!"Juvia said, snapping Lucy back into reality.
"Oh shit, thanks Juvia, sorry I was thinking about how Fairy Tail got back together again," Lucy responded back. She unlocked the door to her apartment and the four Fairy Tail mages stepped inside.
"Oh my God I have to pee!" exclaimed Laxus, bolting towards the bathroom, "NATSU WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?!" Lucy ran into the bathroom and Natsu was chilling in her bathtub with Happy.
"We were waiting for you because we're hungry, go ahead and piss Laxus," Natsu responded. Laxus picked him up and threw him out of the bathroom before slamming the door.
Natsu Dragneel was Fairy Tail's resident destructive Fire Dragon Slayer. He was known for destroying whole towns in the middle of missions because he would get so caught up in what he was doing he'd forget he was overpowering himself. Half the time whenever Lucy would be on missions with him, the requip mage Erza, Gray, Juvia, the Sky Dragon Slayer mage Wendy, and her cat Carla, She wouldn't get much money because they'd end up having to pay half the city back in repairs. Nowadays, she mostly went on missions with Gray, Juvia and Laxus. Sometimes she'd go with Cana the card mage and her father Gildarts Clive who used crash magic and was arguably the most powerful mage in Fairy Tail. Sometimes even Levy who used script magic.
"Ok guys make yourselves at home I'm taking a bath. Natsu there's food in the fridge if you wanna make dinner or you and Happy can leave and go to the guild," Lucy called from the bathroom. She filled the bathtub up as Laxus finished using the toilet, washed his hands and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Let me go grab you a glass of wine Sweetie," he said. Lucy grinned at how thoughtful his gesture was. Laxus disappeared for a minute and then returned with a glass of wine and some beer for himself. He sat on the toilet watching her bathe. Juvia walked in for a minute
"Lucy, Natsu said he was gonna head off to the guild, I'm gonna make spaghetti and meatballs," she said.
"Ok thank you Juvia that's very kind of you," Lucy replied. Juvia blushed, turned around and walked out
After about 30 minutes Lucy finished her bath, got dressed and she and Laxus exited the bathroom. Dinner was set up on the table and Gray was finishing opening a bottle of wine. The house smelled amazing. Juvia was adding the finishing touches on garlic bread. Laxus walked over and helped her pull it out of the oven and then set it in a dish and put it on the table with some butter.
They all sat down to eat and discuss the following days events for the mission.
"So this mission is supposed to be how long?" asked Gray, shoveling spaghetti into his mouth. Laxus finished chewing his food and swallowed before responding, then promptly choked on the last bit of meatball and had to take a sip of beer to wash it down.
"If only I could speak without dying. Anyway, The client wants us to track down a group of bandits that have some relation to digging up Aquarius's key. The client has the key but couldn't figure out the information as to how the bandits got the key in the first place. They're calling for a Celesial Mage I.E Lucy because they need to summon the key at some point. That's where Lucy comes in and she gets Aquarius as soon as she gets there. We're just there for back up in case the mission gets hairy. I was considering asking Mira if she wanted to tag along."
"Laxus that would be amazing if Mira came along!" Lucy exclaimed, downing the last of her wine and then pouring another glass.
"Ok so what's our game of attack in case Lucy gets kidnapped? I'm not trying to jinx you Luce but I understand Celestial Wizard magic is very rare, a lot of villains want to get their hands on it to gain control of how incredible your powers are, especially since currently you are one of if not the most powerful Celestial Mage in Ishgar," Gray said, his dark blue eyes looking into Lucy's lighter brown ones. Lucy nodded in agreement and responded with, " I think our main plan of attack should just be get in, find the bandits, get out. Now if there is a dark guild I'll combine my star dress forms and we'll see what happens. We just gotta be careful and work as a team." The team nodded in agreement. After dinner Gray and Juvia headed out agreeing to meet them at the train station early the next morning and Laxus and Lucy meditated before bed. The next morning, Laxus woke up sneezing and there was static in the air.
"OMIGOD LAXUS! MY HAIR! YOUR HAIR! WHAT THE FUCK?!"
