Chapter 27 You Can't, But I Can

Marluxia's POV

"Big brother."

Remembering these words reminded me who I was fighting for, and I opened my eyes.

"Areoga", I yelled out again.

Then...I made a tornado and used it to break my fall.

After that, I slashed Ira's leg with my Keyblade.

This caused them to yell out in pain before they started trying to trample me again.

Luckily, I was able to use Reflecta to block it.

"Thundaga", I yelled out.

Then...a bolt of lightning hit Ira's stomach, causing him to once again yell out in pain.

It's now or never.

With that...I lunged at Ira...and plunged my Keyblade right into his stomach.

It was game over for him.

He started falling down, and I managed to get out from under him just as he landed on the ground.

He turned back to his human form, and then...he disappeared.

I didn't have time to think about this though, as I remembered something (or rather someone) else.

"Koda", I yelled out in dismay. "Kenai!"

Ten Minutes Later

I got to where Kenai was...just as he was thrown off a cliff!

I watched in horror as he landed on the ground below.

"Kenai", I screamed out.

Then...I got down to where he was as quickly as I could.

When I got there, Nita was treating his wound.

"Kenai", I yelled out in concern before running up to and kneeling down beside said person. "Are you okay?"

Kenai answered with a growl.

"Right", I said sadly when I remembered that I couldn't understand him anymore. "The spell."

After I said this, Kenai looked at Nita and tried to say something to her.

"I don't understand", she pointed out. "I'm sorry."

With that...Kenai used his paw to move Nita's hands over his heart.

This seemed to make her realize what he was trying to tell her.

"I love you too."

After Nita said this, she hugged Kenai.

Then...the area was lit up.

We all looked up, and saw...the lights that touch the earth.

"The spirits", Kenai said.

"Kenai", Nita said in shock. "I can understand you."

"Me too", I revealed.

"I asked the spirits to turn you back into a man", Koda revealed.

"What", Kenai asked in shock.

"So you could be with Nita", Koda revealed.

"No Koda", Kenai said.

"It's okay", Koda reassured. "I just want you to be happy again."

"Nita", Kenai started. "I can't."

And then...Nita said something that took us all by surprise.

"But I can."

Before we could process what Nita had just said, her father walked up to us!

"Am I the only one who hears these bears speaking", he asked.

"Father", Nita yelled before running up to and hugging him.

"Is this what you want", he asked. "Is this what will make you happy?"

Nita nodded.

"You are my daughter", her father said. "And I will love you no matter what you choose."

And so, I watched as Nita...was turned into a bear.
