Chapter 29 Inside the Ship

Alexa's POV

Ten Minutes Later

We were walking around inside the space ship, which was filled with gross stuff.

"Gross", I pointed out.

"You can say that again", Edym agreed.

Then...we all started calling out to Fish.

"Fish", Chicken Little called out.

"Fish", Abby called out.

"Here fishy fishy fishy", Edym called out.

"Really", I asked with an amused smile on my face.

"What", Edym asked. "He is a fishy fishy fishy."

I giggled at this comment, but the laughing stopped when Runt did this.

"Where are you Fish", he yelled out, causing us to shush him. "I can't handle the pressure! Go on without me!"

"Runt", Chicken Little said to him as he tried to calm him down.

"You're just fine", Abby reassured.

"I'll jeopardize the mission", Runt stated. "Endanger us all! Throw me overboard while you still have a chance! Just leave me some ammo. Little water. Some chips if you have them."

"While", Edym started. "I don't have any ammo, but I do have chips and water."

With that, Edym somehow produced a bottle of water and a packet of chips and gave them to Runt from seemingly out of nowhere.

"Thank you my friend", the latter said to the former.

"You actually had those things on you", I asked with another amused smile on my face.

"What", Edym asked. "I get hungry on these missions."

This caused me to giggle again. Then, I noticed that Runt was breathing in and out of a paper bag.

"Feeling better", I asked.

"No", Runt replied.

"That's okay", Abby reassured him. "Just do the thing you do to relax."

Five Minutes Later

That's how Runt ended up singing 'Staying Alive' as Edym accompanied him on his Sitar.

As Runt was singing...he suddenly stopped and yelled!

"Runt", I said in concern as I ran up to him. "Are you okay?"

I got my answer when I saw what made Runt scream.

It was...a fish skeleton!

Thankfully...it was just some type of X-Ray thing...as Fish walked out from behind it a few seconds later.

"Fish", Chicken Little and Abby yelled excitedly before running up to him.

"Are you okay", the former asked in concern. "Did they hurt you?"

"Say something", Abby demanded as she tapped the glass of the helmet Fish wore, which had water in it.

"Don't tap the glass", Chicken Little instructed. "They hate it when you do that."

"Alrighty then", Edym started. "Now that we go your friend, let's get the heck out of here."

With that we we're about to leave, when we noticed something.

"Hey, wait a minute", Edym started. "Where's Runt."

With that we walked down the hall, and saw Runt was looking at something in fear.

We all walked up to him to see what he was looking at, and it was not good.

It was a picture of different worlds with crosses over them.

One word had a circle around it.

"We're next."
