Chapter 32 Deal With the Problem
Alexa's POV
"Will you two stop messing around and deal with the problem?!
After Abby said this, Chicken Little looked at her in shock.
Then...he suddenly blurted this out to his father.
"You're never there for me."
"What", Chicken Little's father asked.
"Okay", Abby started. "That's not what I had in mind, but..."
"You're never there for me", Chicken Little repeated to his father. "I mean, you were there when I won the game, but not when I thought the sky fell. And not at the ball field and not now!"
After Chicken Little said this...his father began struggling to figure out how to respond.
In the end...he said this.
"You're right", he said in realization. "You're right. Your mom, she was...she was always good with stuff like this. Me, I'm gonna need a lot of work. But you need to know that I love you, no matter what. And I'm sorry I...and I'm sorry if I ever made you feel like that was something you had to earn."
With that, Chicken Little and his father hugged.
I smiled at them, before looking down sadly as I remembered my own father.
But before I could continue to sulk...my Gummi Phone went off.
I looked at it...and gasped.
"What's wrong", Edym asked.
"The Gummi Phone is picking up a Sinful Energy signal nearby.
Ten Minutes Later
We had arrived at where the energy signal was coming from.
When we got there, I gasped in shock at who was there.
It was...my father.
"Father", I asked in shock.
"Hey kid", my father greeted.
I just continued to look at him in shock, but then...I noticed that he was holding something.
It was...a canister...with a black liquid inside it.
Upon seeing it, I took a deep breath before looking at my father.
"Is that the Sinful Energy", I asked.
"Yes", my father replied.
"Father", I started. "Please give it to me."
"You know I can't do that kid", my father pointed out sadly.
"Please father", I pleaded. "I don't want to have to fight you."
"Neither do I", my father stated.
"Then why do you still continue to follow the Master of Masters", I asked angrily as tears started falling from my eyes. "When I first met you all those years ago, I didn't know who I was. I didn't even know my own name. But then, then you came, and you gave a home. A place to call my own. That's why I did as you told me for so long, but I can't do that anymore. And neither do you. It's not to late to do the right thing father."
With that, my father looked down at the canister.
Then...he smiled at me...and said this.
"Alright then."
Hearing this caused me to smile.
"Really", I asked happily.
"Yep", my father replied. "But I'm gonna need your guys help in getting rid of this stuff."
