Chapter 39 As Long as There's Darkness...

Sora's POV

I walked into a throne room, and sitting on said throne...was the Master of Masters.

"There you are", he said when he saw me. "I was wondering when you were going to finally show up."

"Well", I started. "I'm hear. Now what do you want?"

"What do I want", the Master of Masters asked as he sat up. "What do I want? Well, I wanted to make the worlds a better place, but somebody just had to go take all my years of planning and hard work and flush it down the toilet!"

"Of course I did", I said. "You were going to wipe everybody out with sinful energy! Why did you even do that? Why did you even do any of this?"

After I asked this...the Master of Masters started walking around with his hands behind his back.

"The war between light and darkness", he started. "It's been going on for as long as I can remember. I knew that I had to something about it, but what? And then, one day it hit me. Darkness is just like a shadow. It can only form when there is light, and when it is dark, the shadow disappears. I realized that the only way to get rid of the darkness, was to get rid of the light as well."

"So you started the Keyblade war", I said.

"Sometimes you need to stop one war with another", the Master of Masters stated. "But I knew that the worlds would be reborn again and so would the darkness. So I came up with a plan to once again wipe out the light."

After the Master of Masters said this, he jumped down from the throne and onto the ground where I was.

"You know", he started. "Even if you defeat me, the darkness will still remain."

"I know that", I said. "But as long as there is darkness, there will be light to fight it!"

"If you say so", the Master of Masters said. "If that's the case, there's only one thing left for me to do."

After the Master of Masters said this, he held up...a canister.

"This is the last of the Sinful Energy", he revealed. "And I'm going to use it to get rid of you once and for all!"

With that...the Master of Masters took the lid of the canister...and the sinful energy surrounded him.

The best way I could describe what he had turned into was all the animals of the Foreteller's rolled into one.

I took a deep breath...and summoned my Keyblade.

I charged at the creature, but was blocked by its horn, which my Keyblade was now stuck in.

I was flung into the air, freeing my Keyblade from the horn.

I tried to strike...but ended up getting grabbed by a snake tail.

As I felt the life getting squeezed out of me, I heard this.

"Sora!"

I looked down, and saw my friends, who couldn't get to me because of a barrier.

"Don't give up Sora", Ven commanded.

"You can do this Sora", Alexa yelled.

"Don't let him win Sora", Ephemer commanded.

"I didn't come all this way just to see you die", Marluxia said.

"We all believe in you Sora", Strelitzia stated.

"Remember who's waiting for you", Brain commanded.

I did remember.

"I'll come back to you."

"I know you will."

With this, a bright light erupted from me.

It burned so bright, it caused the Master of Masters to drop me.

I landed on the ground just as the barrier collapsed.

My friends ran up to me, Keyblades in hand.

"You guys ready", I asked.

Everybody nodded.

"Let's go!"
