I have to start updating slower. Maybe every second day a chapter. Sorry. Anchovy essence
"Are you sure that he can help us find the swords, Issei?" The soft voice of Irina echoed through the empty road as the three exorcists and Issei opened the gate to a house and entered the property.
The boy just nodded. "Rias told me that it's only logical for him to be a Rook, considering how bad he was in fighting despite showing strategic skills. If he ever needs to fight in close combat, he has the necessary strength. Wait, where is he in a fight if he isn't supposed to get into close combat?" Issei asked the three, stopping in front of the door.
"He must be an archer or a mage." The blue-haired girl answered while Issei nodded.
"A mage. And a strong one, too." He confirmed as he knocked on the door.
As soon as they realized that no one was going to open the door, Issei proposed that they leave. The exorcists on the other hand didn't want to lose a chance to find the missing swords and went around the house.
Xenovia climbed up the balcony and entered the second floor while Irina went through the window on the first floor. Lint on the other hand looked around the garden.
After meeting Atlas once, she would have no idea what kind of garden this person would have. However, she definitely did not expect it to be a small paradise.
Perfectly cut grass with a black gravel path leading right through it. White flat stones to walk on and a small bridge that went over a calming artificial river.
The garden had not even one tree. It was weird that he had no bushes or other plants. Instead of that, she followed the river to a pond where multiple people could swim in.
Next to it stood a small house that had a light coming from the inside. Lint had a weird feeling but decided to investigate and opened the door.
The house was empty. Tools hanging on the wall, a light bulb hanging from the roof, and a staircase that went into the ground to a secret basement.
The silver-haired girl could only roll her eyes after expecting this from Atlas. He wasn't a good fighter like Rias said, but he was good at hiding something.
A garden like this would distract everyone from this small house. But not her, she was different.
"So, your theory is that Atlas isn't a 17-year-old boy?" Xenovia asked while Issei looked astonished at Irina.
"Look at all these books. They are written in ancient- Egyptian, Greek, Latin, and Hebrew. These languages are extinct. And the grammar they were written in..." She said as she looked through the various books. "He had to be born during the times of Jesus. He had to be one of us. A follower of God."
"Your friends are quite stupid, aren't they?" Atlas's voice rang through Lint's ears. "I have a birth certificate in the book right next to one they are reading."
"Aren't you fearing that they use these books?" Lint asked as she held her at his neck, ready to decapitate him. Atlas just stayed calm, sitting in his chair and facing the monitor that showed him life footage of his bedroom.
"Why? I wrote to them, only I can use them. They can take them with them. I have four flash drives filled with every page I ever wrote scanned by the best scanner I have ever stolen. I just copy the book, easy." He joked before turning around, letting her sword cut the side of his neck slightly.
Lint instantly pulled away from the sword before jumping back. "You know why it hurts me. You just don't want to accept it. You don't want to realize that a devil himself solved the biggest secret in the world." He saw her shaking her head in disbelief.
"Lint, I am not stupid. Everything I do has a purpose. Do you really think I let myself get stabbed by the Excalibur for nothing?" Atlas asked as he lifted up a strain of hair. "The last book of the bible was the hardest book ever, but you can solve any secret if you have 12 years and nothing else to do. A few dictionaries and a laptop were enough to find out everything I needed."
"How?" The girl asked while falling on her knees in disbelief.
Atlas just kneeled down in front of her and put something into her hand. She opened her palm only to find a note with an address. "You already know what this is. You were created to solve secrets and you can't sleep at nights knowing that there is one you will never solve. You know what will happen at this adress. And if not, then come and find out."
Altas just stood up and walked out of the secret basement where he was met by Xenovia, Issei, and Irina. "Lint is downstairs. I hope you liked my books because they are fake. The real ones are gone since yesterday." He let out a laugh before putting his sunglasses on. "How easy it is to read the future when you have the right things."
Before anyone could draw their weapons, Atlas was gone with an immense wind explosion that let everyone step a bit back. "What was that?!" Issei yelled as he looked at the two girls.
"He stole it..." Xenovia exclaimed. "My necklace. He stole it!" She yelled while looking into the valley of her breasts.
"No..." They heard Lint's voice. "That means that they can evade us."
"What does that mean?" Irina asked shocked.
Lint just walked over to them and sighted. "In his fight against you, when you stabbed him, he stole a few strains of your hair. With a certain magic spell, he could see your future. He knew we four would come and left this place. Everything here is useless to him. We lost him and any trace we had to him. And now that he has Xenovia's necklace, he can look at her future too." She said while walking past them into the house.
"But the future is unpredictable." Irina exclaimed. "We are getting help from a devil."
"Yeah, and that's why he stole your strain of hair. Because of the future he saw was already incorrect." Lint answered before vanishing in the house.
"Lint Sellzen. A lab-creation for a project of a church. She is supposed to solve the biggest secret of the entire universe." Atlas exclaimed as he smacked a file on the table while Sona looked at it.
"What's the secret?" Tomoe asked while looking inside alongside the others.
"Why Germans are blamed for both world wars despite Austrians starting it." He answered sarcastically. "The Bible you idiot."
"The Bible has a secret?" Sona asked.
"No! It is the secret, a secret that Atlas solved, am I right?" Tsubaki asked as she looked at her secret boyfriend.
"No." Everyone looked weird at him while Genshirou slapped his forehead.
"He is a devil, he can't read the Bible!" He yelled at them.
"Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner. Red's are still stupider than blondes." The black-haired boy answered. "Solving the secret of the Bible. You have to be stupid. The church wants me because I know it's a secret." He replied before walking out of the room they were in. "I have a few spells to work on. Have fun." He said as he left.
"Alright. Why do you need us?" Momo asked as she and Reya looked at Atlas.
"And why do we have to be nude!?" Reya yelled at him, covering herself with her hands while Momo did the same.
"Ok, no one is here except for me. Put your hands away and look at me." They hesitantly did as he said only to see a flash. "Now I got a picture of that. Put on your clothes, I need your help."
"Yo-you made a picture of us?" Momo asked slightly.
"Naked?" Reya said while getting closer to Atlas.
"Attack me and this photo will be uploaded online and sent via email to everyone in our school. I need your help, and if you tell Sona about this project or anyone else, then this picture will be the masturbation material of the entire city. Trust me, there are enough pedos and horn dogs just waiting for something like this. And when they shoot their load, then you can trust me, they will hunt you for more" Atlas nodded with wide eyes while explaining the entire situation.
"Fine." Both girls hissed with narrowed eyes.
Atlas turned around and sat down at his desk with a few books lying next to him. "You two heard of my ability to reform matter?" He asked while the two girls stopped putting on their clothes and instantly walked over to him in curiosity.
He turned around only to find his head being right in front of Momo's breasts covered by a bra. He looked over to Reya and saw her not wearing her skirt. "Alright, well, you two obviously were angry about that."
He stood up and put his hands on their shoulders. Only now Momo realized that she didn't wear her shirt while Reya saw her blushing. The brown-haired girl herself noticed that she was wearing only her panties.
"You two are too cute." Atlas laughed for a second only for them to look angry at him. "What I need from you? Easy, I need you two to tell Sona that my ability to reform matter is necessary for us to get out of this barrier position. I mean, we can't continue fighting in our school uniforms. Also, you two are Bishops. You are the magicians of our peerage. You lack the casting ability. So what if I can grant you that?"
The girls froze in place while Atlas smiled. He stood up and walked around them. "Momo. Your barrier magic is weak. And you can't do anything else. A magical manuscript filled with spells would be one of the best things for you." The moment he stood behind her he tuged on her bra, opening it in the process.
He saw no reaction coming from the girl. She was too deep in her thoughts and Reya wasn't any different. "Reya. You have magic abilities that other bishops could only dream off. You want these spells more than I want Sona to allow me to use my books." The girl just nodded slightly and Atlas smiled wickedly.
They all heard a finger snap and shook out of their fantasies only for Momo to realize that her bra was on the floor and for Reya to see that her panties were cut off. "So, do I have your help?"
"Why are we half-naked?" Momo asked while looking Atlas dead in the eye.
"Because I like the sight." He answered. "Now, do you help me or not?"
The girls just looked at each other before closing their eyes for a brief second and sighting. "Alright. But your payment better be good."
Atlas just narrowed his eyes at Reya's comment and got closer to her face. "I saw that as an insult, and I don't like being questioned." He threatened softly while holding her chin up so she looked him in the eyes. She never saw it coming that he just gave him a small kiss on her lips and walked off. "Penelope brought you some clothes. They are mine, but they should be more comfortable to work with instead of the school uniform. Also, you might get dirty."
Outside of Reya's desires
"Loading, release!" Atlas yelled while his hands were laying on Reya's bare chest. His fingers let out a few electrical charges as the girl just sat up breathing heavily in and out. "Reya!" He yelled in joy as he hugged the girl. "I thought I had to tell Sona you were gone for good."
"Wha...what? What happened?" She asked with widened pupils while sitting on a metal table with only Atlas in the room.
"You were dead. The experiment?" He saw her face reacting to none of these answers and just lit her in the eyes with a flashlight. "You were dead for ten minutes."
"Why?" She asked, blinking a bit.
"Doesn't matter, what did you see? What was after death?" He asked her while shaking her shoulders.
The girl just stared at the wall without any expressions while Atlas closed his eyes.
He took a syringe and went to Momo's corpse that laid on a similar table. He just injected the syringe into her heart and saw the girl jumping up immediately, catching her breath. "You brought me out earlier!" She huffed while he shook his head.
"Yeah, Reya has a realm trauma. It wears in a few hours, but currently, she is trying to find a hold of what is real and what not. Her memories of the afterlife are mixing with the reality and she is trying to regain control of it." He explained while Momo sat there, bare-chested and shaking her head.
"So we can go nine minutes into the afterlife." She exclaimed as she looked at Atlas. "It felt like hours, or days. I don't even know. And I don't remember much. I only have one memory."
"What was it." Atlas just looked at the smiling girl.
"Something that never happened. It was a future that my deepest desire wanted to live." She explained while Atlas nodded.
"Well, my project is done. Come back tomorrow. I will pay you and Reya." Atlas just helped her to get off the table and then walked over to the other Bishop.
He lifted her up and looked at Momo. "You can stay if you want. The guest room is big enough." Atlas offered after seeing Reya unable to even think.
"That would be nice." She thanked him and followed both upstairs, where he laid Reya into the bed of the guestroom. "Uhm, Atlas? Do you have a shirt I can borrow for the night?" Momo asked as she continued to follow him into his room.
"Of course." The boy answered and opened his closet. He grabbed a shirt and turned around only to widen his eyes, drop the shirt and freeze.
Atlas was a man who knew how to react when a woman in front of him was vulnerable. But this time it was different.
Momo stood naked in front of him. No bra, and only her hands covering her most intimate zone. She looked at him with teary eyes and smiled weakly. "What did you see in your desire?" Atlas asked as he came closer to her and covered her with his shirt that he picked up again.
"U...u..." The girl stumbled across her own words and looked the boy deep in the eyes before closing hers. She took a deep breath and opened her eyes again while grabbing Atlas' shirt and putting it on. "I saw us." She said weakly while the Paimon nodded in understanding.
"Your deepest desire am I?" He asked while looking at her. The last thing he expected was for her to stand up on her toes and plant her lips on his, before stumbling forwards and pushing him down on the ground.
"I saw us, living together, with Tsubaki and Tsubasa. I saw you being different and I saw me being in love with you. If this was my deepest desire already, then I think there is no other way around it." She closed her eyes again and smiled up. "I..."
"Stop wasting time." He replied only to pull her head down and claim her lips again.
