A/N: I take the name of this operation from a Joseon-era Korean king, Sejong the Great (1397-1450), known for creating the Korean alphabet, the Hangul.

August 16th, 2018. 20.00 hours. 4th Tactical Fighter Squadron (4 Hikotai, 1 Koukuudan), Osan Air Base, South Korea

"Alright, minna, listen up!" The briefing today is directly handled by Colonel Hamada. Since last week, the 4th TFS has been forward-deployed to Osan Air Base in South Korea in light of upcoming Operation Sejong.

"Today is the big day, D-Day of Operation Sejong will soon commenced as our forces will hit them from sea and air with main objective: Pyongyang."

"You will be tasked to escort Coalition airborne forces, consists of the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team of the US Army, South Korean 9th Special Forces Brigade, 1st Japanese Airborne Division, British 2 PARA (2nd Battalion, Parachute Regiment), and the Indonesian 18th Airborne Brigade, which will be dropped above Pyongyang with the scale not unlike in the movie Band of Brothers. The objective is simple; Protect the transports at ALL COSTS as North Koreans are more than willing to commit their entire force to prevent the landing. Strike and stealth assets will open the path and attack any air defenses and SAM sites near the capital, along with general air support."

"This operation will have Russian made warplanes in our side. The Indonesians had confirm they will contribute two flight of Su-35s while the Indians have two flight of Su-30MKIs." He switched the presentation into pictures of two Sukhoi Su-27-type aircraft operated by two Asian nations participated in the Coalition effort. "As you know, the North Koreans and it's Iranian and Chinese allies are also using the same type. So make sure to check your IFF before you engage any unidentified aircr. To further assist you in this matter your aircraft has been painted with special identification marks, universal to all aircraft took part in this operation."

"We also obtained reports that (South Korean) special units has been inserted into the city in advance to take over important buildings and installations."

"Any questions?" The Colonel asked. "If not, prepare yourself, we'll depart at 23.00. Ganbatte! (do your best)"

August 17th, 00.00 hour. Above Kaesong Province, occupied by South Korea

The entry phase in this operation was conducted in a complete radio-silence. Kousei and Emi focus were only to stay in formation and keep their respective planes inside safe path marked and visualized in their Helmet Mounted Displays while approached Pyongyang's airspace.

As the Colonel said, both Eastern (Russian) and Western-made aircraft took part in the operation. Kousei himself had seen two to four silhouette of planes which was identified as Flankers, but as the IFF showed it as as friendly, he know that those planes are allies. Besides, if hostile aircraft try to attack the transport behind them, AWACS will ordered them to break radio silence to warn the coalition force.

Twenty minutes later, tracers rose up to greet the force.

"This is Haneul-Nun (Sky Eye) to all planes. Welcome to Pyongyang, used to be nicknamed "Jerusalem in the East". Break now, break now. Be advised we detect three squadron worth of J-10s and MiG-29SMTs at vector 360 and heading for the transports. You're cleared hot, engage!" radioed a ROKAF Boeing 737 AEWC tasked as the main AEW in this operation.

"Symphonia, engage!" Commanded Hamads as they gained contact of up to two flight of MiG-29SMTs.

"Fox three!" Kousei released one of his AAM-4B in a barrage with seven other F-15s. The MiGs has ECM pods, but the Japanese compensated it with AESA radars on the AAM-4 missiles, which are harder to jam. Four Fulcrums were lost from radar, but others fought on and soon painted the F-15 with their own.

"Hard enemy radar spike, evade!" Natsuki ordered at his flight as the MiGs had fired a salvo of R-77s.

"Watch out, those guys has anti-radiation AAMs (such as R-77P)!" Hamada warned. As the precaution, the F-15Js reduced their radar electronic outputs along with pumping chaffs and broke hard.

The fighting condition went closer, and soon the MiGs, heading for Coalition transports, are forced to engage the Eagles in close, visual range over the starry night skies of Pyongyang.

"Guns, guns, guns" Emi dispatched a MiG pursuing her flight lead with the 20mm cannon.

"Arigatou, 2-4" Natsuki said upon one of his pursuer was destroyed. Another one who was stalking him from above fell victim to Yoshiro's missile.

Emi reformed with her wingman and executed J-turns, causing two MiGs behind them to lost sight of their planes. allowing Symphonia 3-1 and 3-2 to shoot them down.

"Splash one Fulcrum!" reported Honoka.

"Good work Sugar!" praised her wingman, Capt. Kotori "Needle" Minami.

"Great job out there 3-1 and 3-2!"

Kousei muttered to himself "Those former school idols are excellent pilots, too." He and Emi soon break formation again as one Fulcrum charging from above with guns blazing. But he's already damaged from an AAM-4 near miss. The MiG soon destroyed by one AAM-5 from Kousei.

The second flight attempted to engage the Japanese only to be jumped by a nearby Indonesian Su-35 Flankers and Singaporean F-16s and destroyed in the ensuing engagement without leaving any survivors.

"Rungrado (an islet in Pyongyang) lead to all units, we must stop the Yankees and its lackeys to undone our self reliance (juche). We rather die for the Dear Leader than live as a slave to the West. Down them all!" said Col. To Nam-Il, with seven Coalition kills, and overall commanding officer of 804th Fighter Squadron, 60th Fighter Regiment, 1st Air Combat Division KPAF.

"More contact up ahead, 24 J-10 Firebirds and 48 Saeqehs, same heading, engage and destroy" said the AWACS.

"Stay focus, everyone, the enemy had sent another elite force." Hamada ordered as the squadron formed up to greet the incoming Firebirds and Saeqehs. He also ordered his pilots to not turn on their afterburner in order to not betray their thermal signatures.

"Open fire!" Another salvo of AAM-4s launched toward the North Korean-Iranian squadron.

Up to 12 enemy fighters were destroyed, but eight of North Korean J-10s survived the barrage, reorganize and ready for a counterattack to the death. In fact they soon fired their own barrage of PL-12s aimed for the Japanese. The latter broke off and executed thatch-weave maneuvers while powering up their ECMs to overwhelm the missile's guidance.

"Gah!" Kousei dived and climbed back and forth, using the jet's thrust vectoring nozzle to help him maneuver, avoiding 23mm gunfire from a J-10 in the process.

"Symphonia 4-1, fox two!" One J-10 destroyed by Nara.

Meanwhile Emi, four miles west of Kousei attempted to lock on a Firebird but was forced to break off.

"2-4, it seems you need assistance. I'm coming for you!" Kousei contacted his wingman.

"Do it fast, Love Sorrow,"

As Kousei approached Emi's position, he saw two Saeqehs, unaware of Japanese planes above them. Using his HMD he locked both the Saeqehs and the J-10 behind Emi. Three agile AAM-5 went out from his F-15 and hit one of the Saeqehs, forced its wingmen to broke off, and the J-10.

"Thanks for the assistance, Love Sorrow."

"You're welcome!" Kousei lined up his plane to reform with Emi. But the J-10 in front of Emi accelerated, rolled, and soon have Kousei in his sight, the KPAF pilot inside ready to push the trigger.

"If this the end of me, I'll die with no regrets, just like Kaori. Emi, I'm sorry." Kousei muttered as missile lock warning blared on his cockpit...

BOOM!

The J-10 was shattered in front of them.

"Claymore 3-1, splash one"

Kousei and Emi split up in order to avoid the debris of the destroyed Chinese made fighter.

"Look!" Emi said.

16 US Air Force F-22C Raptors dived down from the west relative of their position, into the remaining North Korean fighters.

"This is Claymore 2-2, what's the ETA of the transports?" asked a Raptor pilot.

"ETA is T minus 4 minutes and 40 seconds" said an older man which seems to be the squadron leader.

"Symphonia to Claymore, be advised AA guns and SAM systems in this area has already been disabled or unmanned by strike units" Hamada reported their observation to the allied American.

"AWACS, any intel of remaining aircraft, or status of the invasion force?" Hamada asked.

"The amphibious invasion are currently underway, according to Coalition Command, Considerable losses from the enemy coastal artillery and missile batteries but so far the landing is going our way" said AWACS Haneul-Nun.

"This is Haruna (a mountain) lead, is the sky clear?"

"Hold on, enemy planes are still the factor. AA and SAM batteries in the area has been disabled or inactive" replied Haneul-Nun.

"All fighters keep us covered as we have schedule to keep, Haruna lead out"

Symphonia squadron reformed and put themselves in sight of a massive formation of coalition transports.

Kousei could see Japanese Kawasaki C-3 and C-2s along with Korean and Japanese C-130 Hercules, British and American C-17s and C-130s, and Indonesian Airbus A400M and C-130s, all flying in unison, escorted by US Navy EA-18G Growlers providing ECM support.

"More Fulcrums detected, they are heading for the transports!"

"Symphonia, moving to intercept"

The Eagles engaged their afterburners and soon obtained perfect lock on the Fulcrums, fired their remaining AAM-4 which destroyed almost half of the attacking formation. A squadron of British Typhoons soon joined the fray and executed their own barrage of Meteor missiles, further reduced the size of the force.

Kousei fired his last three AAM-5s which destroyed one Fulcrum, damaged one, and one trashed by flares.

Seems resigned to their fate, the Fulcrums maintained their general course.

Kousei, followed by Emi, rolled and turned left and right while the British "distracted" the enemy, eventually closing in two of the remaining MiGs, and shattered it by gunfire.

"Symphonia squadron, mission complete, You are doing your absolute best, Everyone, clear to return to base" The 4th Squadron formed up to leave Pyongyang as the large formation of Coalition C-17s, C-130s, C-3s, C-2s, and A400Ms proceeded to drop airborne troops and their support weapons into the city.
