"So Katerea attacked and suddenly, after the time barrier was gone, only she was there?" Atlas asked while Serafall giggled. "I wonder where all these mages went?" He asked himself while Sona looked at her watch.
"You will have to get Irina." At that Atlas stopped laughing and looked at Sona. "Heaven is keeping her as a prisoner. She will be handed over to us today." She explained as she took a sip of her tea.
"Fine. Anyone coming with me?" He asked while looking around the council room.
"I have a book to read," Tsubaki answered without even looking at him.
"I need to train with Tomoe," Tsubasa said while walking out with the red-haired girl.
"I would come, but I don't want to stand up." Momo yawned as she laid alone all over the couch
"It's Bishop Sunday. We are not moving today." Reya answered while Atlas nodded.
"Genshirou?" He asked slowly with high hopes.
The blonde boy just shook his head and smiled. "I am going on a date tonight, I have to prepare. Sorry."
"Date my ass, let's go Raynare," Atlas ordered while the woman just looked lazily at him.
"Ask Serafall." She replied with an annoyed eye roll.
"Do you actually think I would ask you before Serafall? She has Satan stuff to do later so won't even bother." He grabbed her arm and pulled her with him right out of the door. "By the way. If the others are pissed because of the Serafall thing tell them that I couldn't care less." With that, he closed the door and left.
"It's the 6th time I told you this. They have things to do! The world isn't circling you. Yes, you are having an affair with Momo, a secret relationship with Tsubaki, and a cover-up relationship with Tsubasa. But that doesn't mean they have other things to do." Raynare explained while Atlas rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, but are they pissed at me? I mean, me and Serafall were on the edge of having sex." He explained with a proud smile.
"It was too emotional and she turned childish at the last minute. You want an over-emotional child in your bed?" She asked while Atlas nodded.
"It's Serafall Leviathan, next to you, she is the most beautiful devil - screw that - woman in all 19 realms. And unlike you, she could kill us both in the blink of an eye." He answered while Raynare smiled proudly from the compliment.
"They are not pissed. Just jealous." She answered his question while looking forward. "So let's go back to the point where you said I was beautiful. From there on say everything again, just replace all of that with complements for me."
"Only if you admit that you would sleep with me if you weren't a lesbian," Atlas replied only for Raynare to stand still.
"Please don't tell me that you actually think I am into a woman." Raynare pleaded. "I am into men." She answered while he nodded.
"Either you are a lesbian, or you are so stuck up with power and virginity that you forgot how to act hetero." Atlas joked only to be punched in the arm. "Everyone in school thinks you are a lesbian. You beat up guys, you are constantly around Momo and Reya talking about sex while they talk about the dragons in your little series."
Raynare just looked with horror at the boy before closing her eyes. "I don't care. In the end, it's my body and I decide who I fuck."
"Good girl. Even better girl if you choose me." Her head just shook while she looked up to meet his eyes.
"Why the fuck are you so tall? I thought you Japs are all small people with short dicks." Raynare asked while she looked him up and down.
"We devils aren't Japanese. We actually look more European." Atlas explained. "Also, that was fucking racist. Damn, the BLM movement would have killed you."
"Bla Bla Bla, do I look like I care about others? Black, yellow, white, green, blue all are below me. They live their pathetic 70 to 80 years and then die of old age or cancer like the rats they are." She explained with a certain fire in her eyes.
"It's about your mother, am I right?" Atlas asked only to see her close her eyes and ignore him. "She must have been a good mother if you miss her that much."
"I was just five when she died," Raynare whispered with a sudden shaky voice. She looked on the ground while staying closer to her fake twin. "She was robbed and killed. Never came home from the store. Fa...Kokabiel never found her murderers, so he blamed it on mom. She was too weak, and since I shared her DNA, I was weak too."
"My mom shoved me into a basement and forced me to read the Bible day and night," Atlas said out loud, making Raynare chuckle. "Not all parents are good. But seeing you now, your mom must have done a great job in those five years. And your dad did a pretty decent one."
She laughed a bit before they arrived at the park Raynare killed Issei in. "Hey, we practically are the same. Just that I have the dick and you the breasts. If you ever need someone to talk about shitty parenting. I am there for you. Only on Mondays and Saturdays tho."
"Honestly. I would have killed you right now if you were a human, but we are the same race, so I might consider your offer. Do you drink alcohol?" She asked. "With alcohol, it's ten times more fun."
"I'll try my best to keep up with you." Both looked up and saw a light breaking through the grey clouds and an angel with ten wings lowering himself.
Raynare and Atlas shielded their eyes for a short moment before the light diminished and a male voice greeted them. "You must be Atlas Paimon and Raynare Paimon. The only two members of the Sitri peerage I haven't met before." The angel spoke before turning around and taking off the cuffs of two girls. "My name is Michael."
"An honor to meet you. I want to greet you from Penelope too. Sadly only I can hear her and for her sake, I am behaving." Atlas bowed down slightly to show his respect.
"So Uriel was right, you were in fact a devil the whole time." Michael saw Atlas nod and smiled.
"It's stopped hurting after a while but praying and reading the Bible as well as believing in God started to affect my physical health. Raynare prohibited it to me but I sometimes don't know any better and find myself reading the Bible again." Atlas laughed out a bit before slightly clapping on his tight. "The last time I prayed was during the fight with Kokabiel, Raynare's father. I thought I would die and so I gave the last prayer. It cost me my legs and currently, I am wearing metal coats around my bones to be able to walk properly."
"I am sorry for your loss. A faithful devil isn't something you see often. In fact, never. So allow me to compensate for your loss. I, archangel Michael, Allow you Atlas Paimon to send your prayers towards heaven without any pain, and to take the word of God into your heart without any fear." The Seraph preached out while Atlas just felt a small wave of energy engulfing his heart.
"That felt fantastic," Atlas exclaimed with a wide grin.
"As I promised Sona for her help and her sacrifices in the battle against Kokabiel, here is Lint. And since Irina is a devil of Sona's peerage and we are at peace, there is no need for me to keep her as a prisoner." The Seraph said while turning around and walking off.
"Uhm, excuse me, Michael," Raynare spoke out, stopping the angel from leaving. "You called us both Paimons. Why that?"
"Well, I talked with your king and she left me a few comments about you. You both have the same mother but different fathers. Raynare is a bit older but you call yourself twins. And that you both are more than just a family." Atlas raised his eyebrows while Raynare grew angry.
"I see that she told me a few lies. I hope that we can someday talk about that in peace." The angel explained and left with extended wings.
"Incest twins. Actually pretty hot if you think about it." Atlas laughed. "Keeping the Arzarith bloodline pure, huh?"
"Same mommy different daddy? You gotta keep your parents and I have your mother?" Raynare asked before turning around and walking off.
"Wait, did he say Lint?" Atlas asked himself before turning around only to see Lint smiling at him while a sleepless Irina stood next to her. "Why are you here?"
"Tried to tell everyone in the church that a devil translated the Bible and that God is dead. Well, here I am now, a former prisoner of heaven." She explained while looking at Irina. "She sinned a few times. Trying to curse you and Sona. Ended up pretty badly after she tried to pray for forgiveness."
The orange-haired girl just looked up at Atlas before a completely new side took over and she attacked him.
The boy just looked at her and the moment she was in front of him he caught her and pulled her into a hug while feeling various strong punches in his stomach.
The fists became weaker and weaker while the tears in his shoulders became more and more. "It's not Sona's fault. I wanted to save you."
"You turned me into this. You gave me the pain in my stomach. You gave me all this suffering!" She yelled with every power she had left in her chest.
"God is dead. You can't change that and I can't. Heaven lied to you and you keep on believing. I respect that. But if you want that pain to stop, then I recommend you cut your ties to heaven." Atlas told her as she gave him another strong punch before falling to her knees, followed by Atlas who fell on his back from the pain while clutching his stomach.
"Since when is he so emotional? Last time I saw him he was cursing and swearing and trying to have intercourse with everything that was female." Lint asked while Raynare stood next to her.
"Long story short. He and Leviathan probably have a crush on each other. While he has 100% a crush on her, her feelings are probably friendly and nothing more." Lint nodded in understanding before Raynare spoke again. "He is still the same tho. Still, the sex-driven, sarcastic shitbag who only thinks with his dick."
"Alright. I am hungry, let's leave these wrecks here." Lint exclaimed while following Raynare, leaving both devils alone.
"I can read the future. You know that right?" Irina nodded slightly while Atlas continued. "I saw you. You gave birth to Freed's child nine months after he raped you. You were in a coma and died. I took this away from you and I don't expect a single 'Thanks'. I wanted to protect you and that's what I did. I definitely spend too much time around girls." He joked while laughing out the last sentence.
"At least in that future, I didn't end up as a devil." Atlas just gave a weird huff and laughed
"You did. Sona tried to reincarnate you but your dead body rejected the pieces. So I basically forced your body to take them. In every single future in that you leave the group, you end up as a devil. Dead or alive. It was your fault from the beginning, but do you see me blaming you? I broke my arm, saving you. And afterward gave up my legs and was dead for 20 minutes." He explained while proceeding to cut his leg through his pants showing no reaction coming from his lower body.
"Then read the future and find a way to kill yourself." She ordered only for Atlas to stand up and pick her up into his arms.
He gave her a warm and genuine smile to let her feel at least some warmth. "Don't worry, according to the book, there is no future for me." His calm voice let her shiver and his smile suddenly made him look like a psychopath.
"I will be dead next year."
