It was the 6th of December.

Atlas 16th birthday.

It was her son, but due to barriers, and power restrictions she was only able to see him once a month, and that was just to bring him food.

She saw blood dripping down the main stairs and the corpse of her daughter, Tavla, hanging from a rope with knives replacing her eyes.

Her heart was racing but she stayed calm on the outside.

In the living room of the house sat her useless son, Alois. The infamous father of the man who started the Second World War.

She was glad to see him wearing his jaw as a crown on his bald head. He was a disgusting man who inherited everything from his father.

His father.

Moras Paimon.

The cruelest man she has ever seen, and a nuisance. He needed to go, but where was he?

The answer was making her proud of Atlas.

Moras was everywhere.

His blood was covering bits of every wall in the house, his spine was hanging from the lamp and his arms were in the kitchen sink.

She couldn't care less where the rest of his body was.

She only wanted to see her son and to get him out of here.

But it was too late, the moment she found a vase with her power stored inside it, she knew it was a trap.

The vase fell on the ground and shattered, giving her back her power, while a giant glass shard was piercing her throat.

She could only see a young boy coming out of the shadows with a sinister look.

And when she woke up again as the Rook of Bedeze Abbadon, he was gone. In fact, the entire house was clean. The corpses were gone and only she was left on the ground she died on.

But the man who resurrected her had other plans with her.

He didn't know who she was and never found out because Arzarith left no one alive.

Tsubaki shivered as she explained the taste of the blood of one of his Pawns.

Atlas was insane already, but this woman took it up a few notches.

And Atlas' development as a child was already fascinating. Tsubaki had to admit that her boyfriend was a God among geniuses.

He activated his powers months after his creation, and like baby snakes, his eye of theft was more dangerous than hers.

He stole the most interesting things, risked his own life on a daily basis. Serafall had to become his babysitter because of her insane reflexes to catch him if he fell from a lamp.

His tail was another story that killed six branch members who only tried to hold him for the Head of the house.

Apparently he was able to understand four different languages after listening to them for various years.

His intelligence from Lilith was a blessing for him, until Moras got wind of it.

As a branch member of the second generation, he had a special ability. The sealing of the powers of the main house if they would break out into the primordial beasts they were.

And that was exactly what he did after taking Atlas away from Arzarith.

Sealing her power and escaping from the devil realm.

House Paimon was already a broken house at that time. Atlas' disappearance caused a huge cliff between the Sitris and the Paimons.

The Civil War then caused the other branch members to revolt and in the end their death by Serafall, while the Paimon Matriarch fled to the human realm with Remor Sitri. The only man who would help her save Atlas.

The current head of house Sitri found out about this, and took away Remor's powers after ten thousand years, causing the man to become ill. Sona was already on her way and Lord Sitri decided to take her with him since she would inherit Remor's powers.

Arzarith couldn't endanger her lover's life more than she already did and secretly searched for her son and found him in New Orleans.

She accepted a deal with Moras.

She could see her son once a month, if she took away the curse that was put on him and after unlocking it, she realized what a door she opened for her Ex-husband.

He could use Atlas just for himself. Turn him into a weapon of mass destruction, but she was happy it didn't turn out like that.

The boy grew mature very fast but stayed cold towards his family.

His mother was nice to him and brought him food to sustain an entire month.

And he became a monster at the age of 14. He didn't talk anymore, the rations of food he needed became bigger and bigger. The door that kept him from the others received more locks and the walls of the basement were covered in blood and sharp cuts.

Tsubaki knew what happened and why he turned out to be like that.

It was the first time Penelope died and was taken away from him.

18 years ago she lost her daughter to the main house of the Sitri, ten years later she lost the love of her life. She wouldn't risk losing Atlas and fought for him.

For two years she tried everything until she came on his birthday only to die.

Tsubaki wasn't stupid.

After connecting the information that Arzarith and Fowaelle gave her, Atilos was assassinated and not a still born.

A mercury poisoning covered by alcohol.

This was all a plan by Hamza and Idris. To get Atlas to stay with Moras, to separate him from his mother and to make him hate her.

These two were a danger for him and Tsubaki had to tell this to Atlas, but he left again.

She continued to be fascinated with how fast Sona took her real mother into her heart. And the strangest thing of all was that Arzarith was a contract of Sona.

Over the past four years, Arzarith kept on making contracts with her daughter after being unable to tell her who she really was.

She paid them riches that she stole, just to ask how Sona's day was and how she was feeling.

Later she started to ask her to keep an eye out for Atlas who would join the school and keep an eye on him while he was in school.

She paid them thousands of bucks just to know how Atlas and Sona were doing.

Tsubaki should have known that something was wrong, but never thought about it.

A contract was a contract, and it didn't matter how absurde it was.

And Fowaelle's life wasn't easy either.

A woman who was born 4919 years ago in Uruk. The same year Gilgamesh reign started.

Her alchemy was seen as witchcraft, but people used it to buy her services as an assassin and even the sumerian gods heard of her unusual ways of killing people.

Ishtar herself hired her to kill Gilgamesh and then paid her with immortality.

After Ereshgikal used her services to kidnap the husband of Ishtar, she was cursed with the inability to feel pleasure until she felt real love. But her job made her unable to grow connections towards humans, causing her to live alone for thousands of years, killing for historian legends like Ramesses and Semiramis as well as king Henry and Lenin.

She was one of the most infamous Assassins in history, but never felt love.

It was just an accident that happened years ago that caused her to go into bed with Kokabiel in a drunken state and only after giving birth to Raynare did she feel real love for her daughter.

And from the day on Raynare was separated from her mother, both were only able to communicate through letters.

"So, you are my son's girlfriend?" Arzarith spoke as she drank her tea and looked to Tsubaki who simply nodded. "Please take a seat, you aren't my maid. This position is taken by a little bird I found while looking for Atlas. Anyways, you are making great tea, I would welcome it if you consider staying Atlas' girlfriend or at least Sona's Queen so I can enjoy it. Serafall's tea was always..."

"Cold?" Sona asked and made even one chuckle in a noble manner.

"Indeed. And dear," The Paimon spoke as she looked at Tsubaki. "please don't act so noble around me, you are considered family."

"Thank you for the kind words, Lady Arzarith." The queen spoke, causing a smile on the woman's face.

"Now, don't be mad at me, but I always had high hopes for Atlas' and Serafall's marriage. I never imagined my son to love a former human." The mother of Sona said as she finished her tea.

"I am looking forward to spending my life with him. In the past months he showed me what a life I would be able to live despite being Sona's Queen. I can't imagine what my life would be without him and I fully support him with everything he does, even if that means his Lust overcomes him and he sleeps with someone else. Sadly Atlas is unable to feel any emotions, so I think a marriage would take some time." Tsubaki replied while Fowaelle chuckled a bit and looked at the Queen and her King.

"You might be wrong here. Atlas' emotions are like water and Penelope was a dam. It separates the emotions and lets them out in seven segments. The cardinal sins.

Now with Penelope out of his body there is no dam, meaning that Atlas feels emotions, but has to cope with them since he never felt them before.

And after looking a few times into his case, you might want to be careful with making enemies. His brothers made a huge decision that changed him probably for the worse.

By not only separating, but completely erasing his ability to feel empathy, Atlas only restriction on the battlefield might be his laziness and his stubbornness. Otherwise the only judgement his mind does during fights is the love for you and how the death of someone will affect you and the others." The alchemist explained as she looked in the ground with a sad smile. "The only way would be to get Penelope back, but with her being gone Atlas is more of a weapon than a person."

Sona just frowned a bit and felt the need to change the topic after seeing her Queen becoming nervous. "Say, mother, Serafall told me that Atolis was a stillborn because you drank a lot. And the curse on Atlas could only be lifted if you give him a kiss with lips that haven touched alcohol for a month." She asked as she looked at her saddened mother.

"It was because of you that I stopped drinking. My marriage with Moras was bad, and I didn't know why Lilith allowed the branch members to overrule the Head of the Houses. Maybe to change the politics a bit, but thanks to that Remor was made a branch member after his twin sister died and his nephew took over. Our branch house ordered me to marry Moras. And we agreed on a contract that gave me my freedom from him and I never had to share a room with him, while he was allowed to donate sperm to me for five children. Atilos was the most promising according to the results and I thought that I maybe had a chance for a son that could become a heir and overthrow the branch house. And that's where it all failed. Only when me and Remor decided to get a child did I stop drinking and was able to lift Atlas' curse." Arzarith spoke while everyone listened closely to her side of the story.

So he was lying.

The trap Tsubaki walked in all those months ago was his work.

He killed Moras and his children and then installed the traps and when Arzarith woke up again, Atlas had cleaned up everything, heard sounds from other devils, hid most of the stuff and ran away.

He was a genius through and through.

"Atlas is pretty smart, from what I could gather." Fowaelle spoke out and looked at the King and the Queen.

Both just smiled and hid a chuckle before laughing out like little girls.

After settling down again, Sona looked at her and Raynare's mother and shook her head.

"My brother is a mastermind in every way."

EndA/N: For whatever reason, writing chapter 40 took me a week and not 3 hours like it normally does.

This doesn't mean my writing is getting slow, it's just that the chapter was the first chapter I wrote I didn't do research for, so I was stuck to only writing blindly without a Canon guide.

This also caused me. To rewrite the chapter three times in total.
