As Raven walked toward the Storybook of Legends, she looked back at Apple who refused to look at her. Once at the book, Raven unlocked it, smiling at her destiny as it flashed before her in a mirror.
"That's what I've always wanted," thought Raven. But once it ended, her smile vanished with one more look back at Apple who was still not looking at her.
"Ms. White, is something wrong?" asked Giles when he noticed that she had not reached for the pen to sign her page.
"I'm sorry, but I can't do this," said Raven before shutting the book. This caused the mirror monitors to shatter and everyone to gasp out of shock. Raven then ran off of the stage, not daring to look at anyone as she did so.
"Raven!" said Apple as she chased after her. Apple had finally caught up to her at the patio of the castleteria.
"You're… faster than… I thought," said a winded Raven.
"I hexercise a lot, but more importantly, did you do that because of what I said earlier today?" asked Apple.
"You were right, Apple, people should be allowed to choose their destinies, and I was to blind to see how some of them may hurt others," said Raven.
"But that was the destiny you wanted, wasn't it?" asked Apple.
"It was, but I don't want it if that means losing a friend," said Raven as she grabbed Apple's hands.
"You really count me as a friend?" asked a surprised Apple.
"One of my best friends, so I'll fight destiny along with you," said Raven with a bright smile.
"Pixie dust, she's just too cute," thought Apple with a slight blush.
"Although I'm sure some people will be upset by my choice," said Raven as she let go of Apple's hands, a slight blush on her cheeks as well.
"And I'm sure I'll be blamed for it," said Apple with an eye roll at the thought of what would be coming her way.
"If they do then I'll deal with them for you," said Raven while punching the air.
"That's not very princessly," said Apple with a chuckle.
"No, but I have thought swordsmanship looked interesting," said Raven, surprising Apple.
"Oh please tell me that you have been practicing in secret and I might get to see this one day," said Apple.
"Maybe," said Raven with a playful smile.
