Percy was having a terrible day. He had been late for work, been shouted at by his boss, spilled coffee on himself, and on his way home he thought ice cream would be nice so he drove over to the closest shop only to find that the only parking spot was super far away and as he was walking to the shop it started to rain. Once he got to the shop there was a sign on the door saying it was closed. And to top it all off, his girlfriend was away for college. He slumped down against the wall of the ice cream shop and groaned. He was soaking wet, hungry, and in a bad mood. Nothing could fix this terrible day, he thought to himself.
Outside was a dark day, angry storm clouds poured rain onto the streets below. Percy shivered, it was freezing today. He sat there for a few more minutes then decided to get going. He walked to his car gloomily and didn't care that he was being rained on. He got to his car and started the ignition. Maybe when he got home he could just wrap up in a blanket and watch Netflix. Yeah that would be nice. He started to drive home but, of course, the traffic was back to back not moving cars. When he finally got home he ran to the doorstep, trying not to get more wet than he already was. He turned the key and was about to open the door when he heard a voice.
"Percy?"
He whipped around, he knew exactly who the voice belonged to.
"Wise Girl!?"
He ran over and wrapped her in a hug swinging her around. Annabeth laughed and said,
"Percy!"
He put her down, overjoyed that she's here. Annabeth couldn't hold back anymore and kissed him with all the passion she could muster.
"What are you doing here?!" Percy asked when they finally broke apart.
"I missed you so much, seaweed brain!" She said, "I couldn't live another day without you!"
She looked sad for a second. She and Percy had been apart for six months and it had been tearing her apart. So she decided to surprise him and visit him. She did not regret it at all.
"That's good enough for me!" Percy said, "want to come inside? I have hot chocolate."
Annabeth sighed happily,
"That sounds wonderful."
