Schuyler was lost. She felt empty and couldn't sense anything.
I most have died. She thought and replayed the last memory she had of Lucifer being in the girl's bathroom. She looked around her, but saw nothing except black endless space.
Boy, I know I wanted to be alone, but I never had this in mind. She joked to herself.
Jack felt like the clouds had parted and the sun was shining. There was hope that he could be with Schuyler and he could have a wonderful cycle. Now, he would just have to convince Schuyler and find a way to break his bond without repercussion. He felt like this was one small task, but little did he know that there would be hurdles along the way to his happiness.
Mimi was full of mixed emotions and didn't know where to turn. She had loved someone else and Lucifer wiped away her history with Kingsley. Does Kingsley know? Does he have any feelings towards her? How does this affect her bonding with Jack? Well, she knew that answer. If Jack had his way then their bond would be over and he would be with Schuyler. She had to find Kingsley and try to figure all this out and she knew exactly where he would be.
Henry sat silently next to Schuyler's bed. He talked Charles and Dr. Pat into letting him keep Schuyler company and move her back to her house. He didn't like the thought of Bliss and Schuyler being in the same hospital together. Granted, Allegra is working on closing the portal between Bliss and Lucifer, but Henry didn't want to take any chances. The last few days have been struggle for him. He has held his emotions in check when everyone is around, but when it is just him and Schuyler's body that is when he loses it. It felt like he was mourning her death; he would touch her, but knew she was in there. Where is she? Lost between times or is she really dead.
Since the "incident" Henry has been thinking of Schuyler, his feelings for Schuyler and Jack's involvement in all of this. Henry heard about what all Lucifer said about Mimi's and Jack bonding being a war tactic. Henry knew this changed the game, if Mimi and Jack didn't bond then getting Schuyler to the Europe Coven was going to be near impossible. How is he supposed to uphold his commitment to Allegra if he can't get Schuyler to go with him? This may seem like a big problem for him, but now he was become intrigued with Schuyler on a personal level. This has never happen to Henry before; it was always business with Allegra and Michael. He never had to be personable with anyone else and honestly, this scared him. What if his feeling for her clouded his judgment when she was in trouble? He knew she would always be in danger if Lucifer and the Silver bloods were still around.
Henry sat there staring at Schuyler; she looked like a sleeping angel. She was lying on her bed, with her arms carefully placed on her stomach and her black hair feathered out on her pillow. All Henry could think of was the childhood story of Snow White and how much she resembled her, in her condition. He just wanted to bend down and gently kiss her on those beautiful lips, but he resisted the urge due to duty. Plus, he wanted Schuyler to be awake for their first kiss, if that ever happen.
Oliver pounced into Schuyler's room expecting a miracle. He looked back and forth from Schuyler to Henry.
"I see nothing has changed."
"Oliver, I told you if she even moved a finger then I would call you. Have you found anything of relevance in that book?"
"No, I swear this book is nothing but childhood stories and Greek mythology. I have read each page over and over. You have any suggestions?"
"I have nothing."
"Henry, why don't you let me sit with Schuyler and you go take a walk. You have been here since the incident. I know you are worried, but maybe some fresh air and change of scenery might help jog your memory."
Henry thought about it for a moment and was going to refuse, but decided it wasn't it a bad suggestion. Schuyler hadn't change and showed no signs of returning.
"Oliver, I think your right. I am going to take a walk around the block. You are going to be alright with her. You know what to do if she wakes up."
"Henry, I have known Sky longer then you and Dr. Pat is my Aunt. I think I can handle her."
Oliver had to admit this episode, as they were calling it, is starting to last longer than her hibernation periods. Oliver was starting to worry that Schuyler had gone into a coma, like her mother and now Bliss. Oliver knew they had to find a way to get her make or at least make a connection. The thought had crossed his mind to grab her hand to see if she would respond and he was going to try that, as soon as, Henry left.
Henry got up and walked towards the door and looked back just check on her before she left.
"Henry, you got it bad. She will be alright it is just me with her." Oliver said as Henry turned to leave.
Henry walked out the brownstone and turned right. He started wondering if there was someone made for him. He highly doubted it since he was made to be Allegra's Protector and that job was demanding due to Charles. It would be wonderful to have that someone to turn to when you felt lost or to share joys in. Henry looked up and realized his feet were taking him to the hospital. I guess even though she is still in a coma, I still have a connection and duty to her.
Henry decided to stop in and make sure that Allegra had indeed closed the portal and to update her on Schuyler.
Oliver sat next to Schuyler's bed with his face in his hands trying to build up the courage to grab her hand. He had no clue what to expect, but he knew only people with a special connections could find each other, in the between worlds. Oliver took a deep breath and grabbed her hand, but nothing happen. Oliver cried for he feared the worse, but he couldn't give up on Schuyler. She would never give up on him, so he swallowed his pride and picked up his phone.
"Hey, Jack. It is Oliver."
"Is she alright? Has she woken, yet?"
"No, nothing has happen, Jack. I was thinking of something and do you think you could come over here to help me?"
Jack didn't reply, in fact, he didn't think. He was over there before Oliver could realize he hung up.
"What do you need, Oliver?"
"I was thinking that if we could connect with Schuyler we would find a way to bring her back."
Jack just looked at Oliver like he was speaking another language.
"You know that connection like Henry has with Allegra. Where he can just grab her hand and be transported to her world."
"Oliver, that connection was made by God and not by love or anything else. Henry was made from part of Allegra and that is why they are connected. You know Charles could never reach her, in her state. I doubt I could reach Schuyler."
Oliver casted his eyes down and all hope sank. He knew it had to be a special connection, but never knew that they had to be made for the person.
Jack, honestly felt badly for Oliver, knew that Oliver did love Schuyler and would do anything for her. The poor boy could only do so much to save her and he was beginning to think that Schuyler might not want to be saved.
"Oliver, do you think Schuyler purposely does not want to come out of hibernation or where ever she is?"
"Jack, I have thought about that. I am also wondering if she is stuck in middle of two worlds, and can't find a way back too. I just wonder if Lucifer might also have her soul captured in his world, but her body if here."
"Oliver, you might not be too far off. That is highly possible. I will have to check with Charles at the possibility of this and then we will diverse a plan."
Henry walked in to Allegra's room and cringed. He just felt on edge with Bliss in the room. He just needed to check with Allegra to make sure the connection is closed. He reached down and took her hand. He was transported back to green meadow with the Cherry Blossom trees and Allegra sitting under one.
"Hello, Job. I have been awaiting news from you."
"Sorry, to keep you waiting, has the connection between Bliss and Lucifer been closed?"
"Yes, after, the incident. Dr. Pat connected Bliss and I, I went through closed the connection. So how are my daughters and why has it taken you so long?"
"Well, Allegra. Neither, of them has awakened. Dr. Pat says Bliss is in a state of shock and her body is recovering nicely. As for Schuyler, Dr. Pat is more concerned. She isn't responding to any of her test."
"What do you mean, she isn't responding?"
"She is breathing, but is hooked up to machines to pump blood into her system. It is feed her, she has gone three days without feeding and Dr. Pat is worried she isn't going to come out of this. She isn't responding to Dr. Pat's neuro test, either."
Allegra looked like she was going to be sick. She thought she had tried to keep her girls safe, by being in a coma, but she was really hurting them.
"Job, is there anything I can do?"
"We don't know how to connect with Schuyler to see where she is. I know I can connect with you and you can connect with Bliss. Do you think I can connect with Schuyler?"
"I don't know, Job. Why can't I just connect with her? I can usually sense her, but I feel nothing. I am worried that she might be gone."
"Don't say that, Allegra. We will find her and bring her back safe. I have to go; I have been here too long. I don't like to leave her."
Allegra grabbed his hand. "Job, is there something you're not telling me? Like maybe you have feelings for my daughter."
"Allegra, I am just concerned and trying to do my job. You know I am dedicated to my job."
"Yes, your job is to protect me, but there is something different about you when you talk about her. It is almost like she is your world." Allegra sucked in air as if this was a shock to her system.
"Job, this is impossible. You were never made to have a companion. This can't happen."
"Allegra, Schuyler and Bliss were never supposed to happen and you were the one who said I had feelings for her." Henry was starting to get defensive; she thought Schuyler couldn't have anyone. With that, Henry threw himself out of Allegra's world.
Henry stormed out of the hospital and rushed back to Schuyler's. As he reached the house, he saw Jack leaving and he could actually feel his blood boil. Henry entered Schuyler's room.
"What the hell was Jack doing here?"
"I called him to see if he could help me."
"With what; a Geometry question?"
"Wow, Henry, calm down. I know you don't like him, but I thought since he had a connection with Schuyler, he might be able to connect with her. Since, apparently I can't."
"Wait, what? You tried to connect with her when I wasn't here. I thought we had an understanding. That when it came to Schuyler, we did things together."
Henry was fuming now. Not only did Allegra think he wasn't good enough for her daughter, but Oliver is going behind his back. He walked over to Schuyler to check her monitors.
"Nothing happen. Her vitals didn't even spike when either one of us touched her. Jack thinks that maybe her soul is back in Lucifer's world and her body here. He went back to talk to Charles about the possibilities."
"It isn't impossible. Lucifer is powerful enough to do that, but the longer she goes without her soul, the worse she will be."
Henry looked down at Schuyler and his heart literally felt like it was breaking. She didn't deserve Lucifer's torment, if that is where she was. He reached down, brushed her hair back and his world went black.
