Aah… Sonic Unleashed. It was a pretty great Sonic game, and I enjoyed it. It's a shame this game is the only one to have character emotions in it.

I will admit that the game made me emotional. I wondered how Sonic felt after his new close friend said farewell. So I made this.

This features some Sonamy in this, which means... Sonamy fans, be ready to enjoy this! But if you're not a fan of Sonamy, that's okay, it's your opinion.

Also, if you want to find some sad music to read this, here is a suggestion: No Reason - Sonic Unleashed OST.

Enjoy!

It had been months ever since Sonic's Werehog adventure with Chip. Things were back to normal in Mobius, and there was no Eggman in sight.

The sunset was beaming around Mobius, shining across the plains, and luminating a beautiful sky pattern outside. It was a beautiful sight, and everything was looking okay.

Sonic the Hedgehog, however, wasn't feeling okay.

Ever since Chip's farewell, Sonic has been feeling depressed. Chip was a close friend to Sonic, almost like a brother, and it's been difficult for him to move on. He looked at the bracelet Chip gave him, and his emerald eyes started to fill with tears.

He wiped the tears furiously, while remembering the times he and Chip had together. It was difficult to control his emotions that were bearing him.

He tried to hold in the tears by heading to Green Hill and running around there. But that wasn't much, as he still felt very upset. He ate some Chili Dogs, but that wasn't helping him. He even tried to think of something else than Chip, but nothing else came in mind as he got more teary eyed. He remembered his final words from Chip.

"I'll never forget you. I'll be here by you, always. A part of the earth you tread."

He ran back to Green Hill and finally gave up holding back his tears. The tears started to fall down his face, and he began to sob quietly. He missed him so much.

"C-Chip…" Sonic sobbed.

Amy Rose was taking a walk, looking at the nice sunset that was shining across the fields in Green Hill. She continued to walk until she heard a crying voice. She walked to see where the crying voice came from, and she was shocked to see who it was.

"Sonic?" Amy asked softly, she never saw Sonic cry before. She walked to the Blue Hedgehog, "Are you alright, Sonic?"

Sonic looked up to see Amy Rose, his eyes red from crying. He wasn't expecting Amy to be there and felt embarrassed when she was there, as he didn't want anyone to see him cry.

"I'm fine…" Sonic replied quietly, trying to hide the tears falling from his eyes.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Amy asked with a comforting tone as Sonic wiped his tears away.

"I-I…It's n-nothing, Amy." Sonic sniffled.

"I know you're not feeling okay," Amy said in a firm, but calm voice, "But it's okay to tell me."

Sonic finally gave up on keeping it silent, and explained it to Amy.

"A-Ames," Sonic whimpered, "W-would you ever g-get upset if you n-never got to see a c-close friend a-again?"

"I would," Amy replied, "Why?"

"Well…" Sonic explained while stuttering, "Ever si-since Chip l-left me, I h-h-haven't been fe-feeling like m-my normal self. I-I don't f-feel like ru-running or e-eating Chili Dogs. I-I've been feeling m-more s-sad than usual. I can't e-even eat Ice Cream w-without being reminded o-of… C-Chip…"

Amy felt bad for him, she has seen him sad before, but she has never seen him this broken up.

"I-I..." Sonic whispered before yelling out tearfully, "I feel like I can't move on without h-him! I feel like I'm alone again! He didn't deserve to leave me! I wish I could've seen him one l-last time!"

"Sonikuu…" Amy whispered before she pulled him into a comforting hug, "It's going to be okay. I know it isn't going to be easy to move on, but we'll help you."

Sonic shook even harder as tears clouded his vision, letting out whimpers and sniffles. He didn't want to let his emotions out, until Amy told him this.

"It's okay to cry, Sonic. You shouldn't hold in your tears for so long." Amy whispered, "Just let it out, it will be okay to do so."

That was enough for Sonic to break.

The Blue Hedgehog gave up fully holding his tears and began to sob loudly and harshly, as he shook the fullest and his tears fell freely. He missed Chip so much, and the emotions and thoughts just broke him fullest. He cried for a long time, and Amy didn't let go of him as he kept crying. She didn't care if her shirt got wet from Sonic's tears, she was just glad that she was there to comfort him.

Amy continued to comfort him no matter how long it took or how long he cried, she was going to be there to help him.

Eventually, Sonic calmed down and no more tears fell from his eyes, but still let out some sniffles. Amy let go of the hug when stopped crying.

"Sonic, I know it isn't going to be easy to move on," Amy said calmly, "But you have friends who will help and care for you. We will help you move on, even if it takes months."

Sonic let out a sniffle before looking at Amy and smiling for the first time since his adventure with Chip.

"Ames," Sonic replied, "Thank you for attempting to help me."

"You're welcome, Sonikuu." Amy smiled as she and Sonic hugged once more. While it was going to be difficult to move on from Chip's farewell, his friends were going to help him move on.

No matter what happens or how long his life would be, Sonic would always remember Chip and their adventure they had together as best friends.

That's a wrap! This game brought me to tears, but this story took it up a notch!

This game was the only Sonic game that gave Sonic true emotions, and that's sad, because even heroes have emotions too ya know!
