CHAPTER-3

"Hey honey what should I make for dinner?" A women in her mid-twenties asked her husband, on whose hand she was latched into.

"For dinner? How about something hot and spicy" Her husband responded to her question.

They were taking evening stroll in Musutafu town near beach as the setting of sun in the horizon of ocean was giving the town evening a very romantic view.

"Hot and spicy? Hmm what can I make something that is hot and spicy?" Wife furrowed her eyebrows as she think of all the dishes that she can make, that's hot and spicy.

"What's to think about? Just make my favorite dish- no my most favorite dish that I love with my whole body and soul!" Husband stopped in his walk and looked at his wife with wide grin.

"Your most favorite dish? But I thought you liked sweet foods more than spicy food" Wife gave him confused look "Ahh!" when her eyes widen as she felt someone grabbed her bottom tightly.

"You know my most favorite dish!" Husband wiggle his brows suggestively with creepy smile as he cupped the ass of his wife with his hands.

"Ahh Mou~ not here" His wife turn 10 different shades of red as she gently yanked his hand out of her butt with embarrassed blush on her face, she frantically looked around her to see no one was watching them. They were standing in corner side of street where new path start towards different streets, so they were hiding perfectly from anyone that may bypass them.

"Why not? No one's here"

"But what if someone come here and see us?"

She circled her hands around her husband neck as he cupped both of her ass cheeks "So should we head back home? I can't wait even for a second to taste this delicious thing in front of me!" Husband spoke with barely restraining lust as he looked at his wife loving face.

"Yeah let's go!" Wife panted as heat caught upto her, she eyed her husband hungrily, they brought their lips towards each other to make out in open Street.

Just as they were about to kiss each other-

"Ah! Sorry!" A yellow blur cut between them with yell, separating both of them with force before they could kiss each other.

"Wh-what the-?" Husband looked alarmed at what just happened, one moment they were about to kiss each other and in next moment they were separated each other by force "What in the fucking hell was that?" her question his equally confused wife.

"I think I saw a-AAH!" before she could properly responded, her eyes widen as she jumped up in her husband arms.

"Woof" "Woof"

In a blur a dog chased after yellow blur with full speed, the dogs legs were moving frantically to catch up to yellow blur.

"-Kid" Women finished her sentence with confused expression on her face "What that dog chasing after the kid?" she was pretty sure what she saw on blur was kid.

Shaking his head, husband looked at his wife who jumped in her arms like Scooby-doo with some amusement "forget about that! Now so should we continue before someone interrupted again?" he asked for permission to his wife who was dangling in her arms like princess.

"Thank you for the food!" Wife exclaimed and attacked her husband lips who responded just as furiously as he began to walk towards his home to properly enjoy today's dinner.

Naruto stood in front of abandon building with some sweat dripping from his body as he was breathing lightly, he turn to look at the road where a big white Labrador was running towards him. Before said dog stopped in front of him.

Dog was late!

Dog was heavily panting with his tongue out drip of saliva as he come up to him and lay on the ground with slight wiggle of his tail.

Naruto frowned a little at the dog who was waggling his tail even after clear sign of exhaustion on his body. This is their daily routine, first they'd would for about 10 km and then after that 7km in full on sprint, with him not using his quirk and instead relaying on just pure body muscles "You are getting fatter" Naruto bend down towards dog to scratch his ear "Kei is slipping you some sweets in secret, isn't she? Guess we have to stop that for a while?" he mused to himself.

Whine

As if understanding what he said dog whine in response. Blonde lips curved upwards in amusement "Go do whatever dumb stuff you dogs do, but don't go too far" he said to dog who lightly barked in response

Hopped onto his feet, he began to walk inside abandon building as he left the dog outside to lay there on the grass for a moment to catch his breath, before the said dog stood up and walk away to do whatever dumb stuff that dogs do.

In front of building entrance there was big lock that was placed to stop anyone from entering the building, Naruto body flicked slightly as his body disappear before it appeared to the side of building near emergency exit stairs.

Climbing up the stairs of building he walked upto fifth floor, the building was wide so he walked towards certain part of floor before he stopped in front of big gateway that lead to the hall of the floor with closed windows, making it tightly shut.

He walked towards back section of wall and yanked a wire that was sticking from the ceiling, just as he yanked the wire, bunch of wires fell out of ceiling with stones attached to each wire as they dangled in the air like pendulum, they almost cluttered the room with their quantity as every part of room was full with dangling stone, there was barely any space to walk between them

He grabbed the wire and wiggled it enough forced to make them move like pendulum, but each time it touch other stone they would deflect and change course in different direction, he made sure it placed it in way as not to tangle the wire too much and will be unpredictable through and through.

Crouching down he opened his little backpack, inside of which there was bunch of small bouncing balls made up of rubbers, picking up small bouncing balls he hurl it each in different direction with enough force to make even bouncing ball, bounce like crazy, it was impossible to predict action of each stones with good enough precision to come out of it without, stone or ball touching you even once.

Naruto took a deep breath to jumped inside the maze of dangling stones and balls, he suddenly tilt his head and moved his arms to let bouncing ball pass them by without touching his body.

He leaped into maze, just as he touched the floor, he took one big step to avoid a stone coming his way when suddenly ball came towards his chest, making himself small in ball he backflip over ball and some stones coming his way, his feet didn't even touched the floor when out of reflex he placed his hand on the ground and pushed the floor with his hand to make him correct his body posture in the air, he continued to dodge, duck and slide over some stones and balls for some moments before he brought up his hands in front of his face and caught the small ball that was coming his way, sticking out his hips a little he let a ball pass by his butt.

He moved his upper body a little to let the stone and ball pass by his chest and head respectively, followed by raising his one leg then another with patter to let another pair of ball pass by him, he caught the third ball in his hand, he jumped over pair of stones, one came at his pelvis area another came at his back while four more coming towards him in different angles, without looking back he suspended himself in midair and threw his ball at one incoming stone, which changed his path and strikes another stone coming his way, moving his body to little right he caught another ball while avoiding the stone coming his way, to which he just took a single side step to left to avoid another pairs of stones.

He continued this for hour and half, in which he had to yank the wire few times to make them move faster to make it harder for him to move.

"This is pathetic, I desperately need some upgrade" He said to himself as he pushed the wire back inside the ceilings, he has been using this thing for solely training his reflex and dodging time, not that he was sloppy in that department, it's just he want to continue to train his body as much as possible for everything. This is his one of secret place, in some placed he had set up traps for himself just like how he had set up maze in this place, all focused on helping him train, each placed was used for training different aspect of his ability.

It was dirt cheap stuff but that's all he can afford for now, it will be different matter when he enters U.A, he was sure they must have some top quality equipment's for training students to be the best hero in the whole country.

"How long are you going to watch?" He turn towards the far end of closed window.

No response

"Seriously? Again" He muttered to himself in annoyance, when window was slide opened to reveal a grinning figure of Hawks came.

He knew he was being followed by hawks since he started jogging with his dog from the café.

"You know normally people don't really realized there are being watched, make me wonder if you have some sort sensing quirk as well" Hawks jumped inside the building as he looked at dangling wires with some amusement "But you're right! You definitely need some upgrades" he checked the maze with interest "Yo! How's it going little monster-kun. Wanna come to my agency for some training? I can arrange something high tech for you!"

"No thanks, I know dirt cheap and pathetic but it will make do for now" he began to collect balls lying around room and put them inside his bag "So why did you suddenly decided to make this visit?" Blonde asked as he finally put last ball inside his bag.

Hawks has been making one or two visit per month to their store in these past 10 months as he had to do his duty as famous hero, Hawks stopped stalking him after their first meeting in his house rooftop. So him following him to this abandon building like this, kind of put blonde on guard as to what his real intentions were.

"I came to check up on my favorite brat, plus I was free so I thought why not wish that brat best of luck for tomorrow exam in person?" Hawks nonchalantly said with shrug.

Tomorrow the entrance exam for U.A will be held, first will be written test after that it will be Practical exam, which will be held at the next day after written exam.

"Thanks I guess" Naruto began to walk down the stair with hawks right behind him "So why did you actually came to see me in person?" He asked again as if Hawks didn't answer his question before.

"Didn't I told you already I just came to wish you luck" Hawks said without missing a beat as if he wasn't really bothered by his question second time.

Both didn't said anything as they finally reached the bottom floor with saying a word as awkward silence formed between them.

"You really are not good at holding conversation, are you?" Hawks asked in humor as blonde didn't said anything else after his reply.

"Well I accepted your excuse, what else should I have said?" Naruto raised his eyebrow at Hawk's remark about his poor social skill.

By the way, he still hasn't buy his poor excuse about him coming here was for just wishing him luck for tomorrow exam.

"So anything new with you?"

"Nah! Just same old routine"

In these past 10 months his life been going smoothly without any problem, he goes to school and from school to home and in evening he leaves the house to walk his dog and do some light training.

"So….you're seriously going take part in exam tomorrow?" Hawks asked again as Naruto jumped from the exit emergency, while Hawks gently lowered himself with the help of his wings.

"….Yeah? Didn't you kind of forced me to enter U.A, so why are you asking me that now?" Naruto raised his eyebrow at the strange question.

Looks like hawks becoming cautious of him that would explain this sudden meeting.

"Well I'm still kind of unnerved how you accepted my proposal so easily, it kind of makes me wonder if you're scheming something"

Naruto let out a chuckle "Really? And what do you think I'm scheming about?" As if finding it amusing.

"How would I know that? But won't you tell me about it when you done scheming?"

"Oh-ho, you won't get me that easy, I'm definitely not going to start monologue my evil plans to take over entire world by posing as high school student! No-sir! I'm smart enough for that" Naruto shot back with small grin on his face, now that both move past the fence of building and awkwardness, it kind of become easier for him to crack a little joke.

"Don't you get me started on monologues, I mean, I'm not complaining. I really don't want to count the number of times I would have been gravely injured or worse if villains would have just pulled the trigger or pushed the button but it's just a principal of it, you know? It's just….why? Why do you feel the need to lay out your plan in detail to the person that you're going to kill, who also has the greatest chance to stop your plan" Hawks lamented the fact about his encountesr with villains.

"They must have never read or watch some good detective movies, because it kind of hurts my faith in humanity progress just hearing you say that!" Naruto whistle loudly with his lips to call for his dog.

"….Hey I just realized that…..but I think kinda like you better this way" Hawks grinned towards him as he just realized it.

Naruto gave him confused look so hawks elaborated "I mean you're kind of hard to approach when…you know, you kind of go all emo boy and stuff"

"…..I'm not….. Emo" Naruto raised his eyebrow in confusion, he? Emo boy? And hard to approach? Is that why no one ever approached him to become his friend, Naruto mused at something he got to know about himself from someone else perspective. Sure Kei and Akito told him he kind of comes as loner but no one ever said something like that to his face.

Naruto looked at ground with concentrated furrow of brows as he heavily contemplate about what Hawks said to him

'Should I change my way of approach? Or should I make jokes to make some new friends? No too much joke will make him come across as needy and insecure! Or should i-'

Bark! Bark!

Naruto musing was cut short when he heard his dog came running towards him holding what looks like empty plastic bottle in his mouth.

"Oh! Hey there shaggy! How you doing? Miss me?" Hawks bend down to pet the dog who wiggled his tail seeing his master and Hawks "And what you got there? A water bottle?" Hawks pats dog head as dog dropped the empty plastic bottle in front of him.

"Ouch!"

Just as dog dropped the bottle he bite down Hawk's right hand really hard while still waggling his tail, Hawks tried to pry his hand out of dog's mouth but he just wouldn't let go, dog was acting as if he bites the Hawks to play with him, instead of biting him with hostile intent.

Naruto let out a small smirk on his face seeing the pained expression on Hawks face from dog's bite, while he really don't want to stop the dog he had to go home, it's getting really late, bending down Naruto scratched the back of shaggy's ears to make his let go of Hawks hands "Good job Shaggy!" Naruto ruffled his hair and gave him dog biscuit as treat, as dog let out a happy bark at being petted and fed by his owner.

Bark

"You should get some shots because Shaggy last shot just expired this week" he said with smirk as he saw a large bite mark courtesy of Shaggy teeth on Hero's hand.

Seeing him smirk Hawks eyes Narrowed a bit "You trained him to bite peoples?" he asked hesitatingly. Dog didn't showed him any hostile intent, he just came towards him like he normally do and just bite down his hand very tightly, what kind of training is that?

"No! Why would I do that?"

"So what is this?" Hawks show him his bitten hand.

"I trained him to bite only you, but I made sure he do only out of love not out of aggression" it take him long time to train his dog by watching YouTube videos but it looks like it paid off really well in the end.

He will bite Hawks whenever he tries to pet shaggy otherwise he will be normal with him, plus he was sure if he trained him to be outright aggressive with Hawks Yui-obaa-san would be very cross with him.

Picking up the water bottle Naruto threw it towards dustbin with very clear precision.

"You know to answer your question about why I didn't oppose the idea of joining U.A is because of what you told me when we first met"

"Me? Oh you mean having U.A as your backup?"

"It's part of a reason! It's not really hard to see all the benefit I can get just by becoming a student of one of the most prominent school in country which is administrated and protected by country's government, once I join U.A I will be entitled to lots of privileges, with government protection being one of them, it's will become their top priority to save their students and eliminates every threats if something were to happen to their students"

He had lots of time in these past 10 months to do proper research on U.A background, it would be fair to say he had properly done his homework.

Hawks suddenly stopped in his track as some thought suddenly hit him like brick

"You…. mean to use U.A to as shield not as backup!"

'He catch on quickly!' Naruto concludes on his mind at the sharp observation of Hawks.

"Preciously" Naruto nodded without hesitation.

All he's going to do is leech off U.A like a parasite! A parasite that's going to use U.A as its new host

"You do know you will endanger other students as well, right?" Hawks gave him bizarre look as if he had said something insane.

"So? What's your point?"

Hawks blinked at his nonchalant response.

"…..you can't just go around using students as shield".

"What are you talking about? Of course I can use them as shield that is my right!"

Naruto denied Tagami statement right in front of him.

"Y-Your right?" Hero looked at him dumbly.

"That's right, even though we will be in the midst of becoming hero in hero course, there will be various circumstances that can be come together, some unfortunate incidents can happen anytime, such as Villains attack or perhaps with threats that will most likely to happen given I will enroll into that school….Then there is even feeling of helping peoples out of their hero principals that crosses the boundary of being a student to hero, isn't the school motto always like that….No…..Not even the whole hero community. Am I wrong….?"

He was sure that man will most likely to negotiate first and if that won't work then he will attack, but Hawks won't have to know that.

Naruto argues that everyone must have some right to protect themselves considering the special society they live in and that hawks, a Hero has no right to stop it.

"Hypothetically let's say I let everyone in class get killed and only save myself alone, then the heroes and society have no right to blame me, if you want to blame someone, then blame the students who will be victims, and when that happens they won't really have any choice but to protect me and eliminate any threat that may come my way, but that being said I don't plan on letting that happen if it can be helped"

Naruto saw Hawks Mouth opened and closed like gaping fish as he couldn't come up with any refute so he decided to change his question "And what if that man doesn't do as you predicted, what will you do then?"

"He won't!" Naruto said with certainty.

"And where that confidence coming from?"

"I was raised by him" He curtly relied as if that explains everything.

"I'm still not convinced"

Seeing hawks confusion he decided to give him a hint "If I were to describe him then? Hmm...Do you know about sandbox tree?"

"Sandbox Tree?" Hawks looked at him with surprise, this is the first time he was hearing that name.

"Yes. A Tree. But the kind of tree you should avoid if possible. It's even used to make poison darts. It bears the fruit that when falls on the earth it explodes and send spikes in every direction, he's just like that"

"You're saying he's like exploding fruit?" Hawks.

"No. I'm saying he's like a tree, you can't climb it, because it's covered in spike and you shouldn't try to shake him or cut him because he will send his fruits towards you"

Only way to make that tree fall without getting injured is by making sure to not get close to it and let someone else do the dirty work of cutting him down.

Second option is to attack him when he's fruitless. Which is ideal option because the chance of that happening is almost non-existence.

"You know you are really confusing me?"

"All I'm saying is that he's not the type of person who will make reckless move because if he's caught he won't be the only one to suffer the consequences and l can guaranteed you that's the outcome we should avoid at all cost, but then again he won't do that because he don't want that outcome as well"

"So….you are saying we should do nothing against him?"

"No I never said, I mean there are various ways to get him, we just have to wait for a bit… in meantime you will know what I'm getting at!"

Hawks could say he was fairly intelligent hero being raised by private firm to be the best of best himself but no matter how much he tries he just can't seems to comprehend what oddity named Naruto Uzumaki is getting at.

He shake his head with 'good grief' "You really do think like a villain"

"I prefer to think that I like living more, it's probably my third favorite thing to do"

Hawks mouth twitched upwards with his reply "Third favorite? What's first two then?" He asked with some amusement.

"I'm hormonal teenager, guess for yourself!"

Hawks couldn't help himself and chuckled at his response "….Yeah I really like you better this way"

Naruto cast a small glance at the chuckling face of Hawks. It seems Hawks still can't see the bigger picture.

It would be easier to explain to him what he actually meant by his word but he stopped himself from saying anything else.

He told him about his plan on getting out of situation that will inevitability happen in future to divert his attention from his real intention, from his point of view he can see Hawks is getting anxious from his offhand behavior about his easy acceptance of extortion, it's not really odd thing to suspect either, if he was in his shoes, Naruto would been getting anxious too, given that you know next to nothing about your scapegoat real intention, who may ended up using you as scapegoat instead.

Its high gamble but it will be worth it if they can throw that man under the speeding bus.

Naruto walked with him for some distance before he stopped in his track as if something just occur to him right now "Wait! Why are you walking with me? What if someone's were to see you with me?" Naruto frowned as he looked around Empty Street to see if anyone's watching. He don't want his picture to be posted in internet with one of the famous hero, not until he got accepted into that school.

"Don't worry I'm constantly using my wings to sense anyone around us, if I sense someone approaching I will warn you beforehand" Hawks shrugged his shoulder in response.

"Ah! Okay…..so would you like to come for dinner? I'm sure everyone will be thrilled since you haven't shown your mug for weeks" Naruto asked beside him.

"But what about you? Surely you won't be thrilled with me present there, after all you hate me right!"

"Honestly I don't really care about that much to hate you"

Hawks turn his head around to see blonde was wearing normal expression on his face like always, Hawks looked at him as if he was insane for the second time that night "Are you kidding with me?" Hawks looked for any sign of lying on his face but got none "I basically blackmailed you into joining U.A to make you my scapegoat and you're saying you don't hate me? That is like the worst joke I have ever heard and for the record I have heard a lots of bad joke that will make you cry from its cringe alone"

"What do you mean 'you basically blackmailed me' you actually blackmailed me" Naruto said to him with some annoyance for changing that little detail "and no I'm not joking about not hating you, it's one thing to not like someone but it's entirely different to hate someone"

He just doesn't have it in himself to hate anyone because to truly hate someone you need a strong reason from your heart.

He's basically saying that he just don't really care enough about hawks to hate him even when he knew Hawks hates him in return.

Beside there are only two people in the world that he truly hates with passion and one of them is already dead while other is going to be.

Hawks didn't said anything after that as both humans and dog quietly walk quietly on the lonely road, when Hawks phone suddenly buzzed off, taking his phone out of his pocket he answered the call.

Naruto not paying him any mind continue to walk beside him, hawks cut off his phone after talking for a bit.

"Work? At this hour?"

"You know how it is!" Hawks furl his wings with small grin "I will have to postpone that dinner for next time!" He exclaimed and took off towards the sky with great speed as gust of wind pass by him from the force of hawks took off.

"Heroes sure have it rough, huh?" Naruto muttered to himself as he saw Hawks fly off to the sky.

Even this late at night they have work to do.

Really! Being a hero is such pain in the ass!

Bark!

As is reading his thought dog barked.

"You get it right?" Naruto looked hopefully towards his companion before he frowned "Why am I asking a dog about that?"

He shakes his head a little to get spring night chilly wind on his face, Naruto suddenly took the running stance. Seeing his action shaggy did the same.

"Race you to the store, if you win I won't stop Kei from giving you treats" Naruto spoke to his dog.

Bark!

Naruto picked up stone laying in side and tossed it into the air

Just as the stone hit the ground both dashed at the same time in incredible speed to overtake each other to win the race.

[The day of Practical Exam]

Naruto was walking towards the Exam center where practical exam will be held, he just gave his written exam other day, the question asked in exams were surprisingly mediocre for prestigious school like U.A, it wasn't hard nor was it easy. He was kind of expected it to be really challenging exam, so he had to held back a little as to not draw attention towards himself because of his score, so he made sure to get above average marks in each subject which was between 70 and 80, not too high but also not too low.

The morning was little chilly, he really like weathers like this, he walked for a bit to see the entrance of U.A Exam center came into view.

"N-Naruto-kun! Good morning" Naruto turn around to see a shaky smiling Midoriya waved towards him, he was fiddling and looking around himself.

From his body posture Naruto could see that he was nervous about this exam "Good morning Midoriya" He greeted back.

In this past 10 Months a lots of things have happened after their talk that day near fish pond, where he told MIdoriya that he had choice to do whatever he wants, Midoriya began to train his body to prepare himself for exam, Naruto saw him using his grip spring tool even during classes, plus he always looks exhausted whenever he see him most likely from pushing his body to its utmost limit.

He one time causally bring up that topic to Midoriya to see what is driving him to do this, but Midoriya told him he was encouraged by Naruto's words that day and he's going to do what he wants from his life.

Of course Naruto didn't believed him one bit, just by seeing his facial and body posture he could tell that Midoriya was lying about something but he didn't really pry into his matter.

Because He won't like it either if someone try to pry into his life.

"Move or I'll kill you" A grumpy voice called behind them.

It was Bakugo and he had angry expression on his face like always, they parted way for him and without even glancing their way Bakugo walked ahead of them.

"Isn't that the kid from sludge incident?" One applicant beside them commented.

"His name?...I think it was bakugo or something right?"

That same day when he had that talk with Midoriya, a big incident happened where a sludge monster captured Bakugo, their class bully and in fit of desperate attempt, Midoriya jumped in to save him.

That incident kind of changed Bakugo (a little change, like really, really little change) he stopped his bulling session on everyone, Bakugo still see himself above everyone and would push everyone down but he don't go out of his way to bully someone, And him not bullying anyone was like a really big change, it almost surprised him. And because of that Naruto was free to move as he like without being wary of what Bakugo might try to do to him, for that he was truly grateful to Midoriya and sludge monster that almost killed Bakugo.

"H-How did you do in written exam? By self-scoring I know that barely passed the exam, so I'm hoping to do better in practical exam" Midoriya asked him as he nervously smiled at him.

'He must be nerve-wreck right now' Naruto mused to himself, that's why he's bringing up the topic of their written exam score to compare each other. Best thing to do would be to avoid the question for both of their sake.

"I think I kind of did alright, but I still hasn't self-scored myself so I don't really know" Naruto answered the question in a way that will stop him from further asking any question.

They quietly walked after that but Naruto can see Midoriya was still fiddling himself, so Naruto decided to asked a question to divert Midoriya attention, plus it was also the question that was bugging him since his talk with Hawks

"Hey Midoriya what do you think of me as person?"

Midoriya blinked at the unexpected question as he looked at him dumbly "Huh?" as if he said something weird.

"I mean do I look like someone who is really hard to approach? Like I'm emo boy or something?" he asked again.

Well maybe it's weird question but then again it wasn't that strange of a question…..right?

Midoriya become silent at the question as if contemplating how to tell Naruto about himself "Well I think that yo-"Before He could finish his right leg tangle with left leg and began to fall towards ground on his face. Before Naruto could grab him, a hand touched his waist

"Are you alright?" a gentle voice said to Midoriya.

Naruto turn to see Midoriya was floating mid-air with a brown haired girl standing beside him with smile on her face.

Midoriya looked towards her with stupid expression.

"It's my quirk, sorry for using it without asking first, but it'd be bad luck if you fell, right?" Girl gave Midoriya a reliving sweet smile.

"Aren't ya nervous?"

"Eh…" Midoriya couldn't mustered up words.

"Let's do our best, see ya!" She waved him off with cheerful smile on her face.

As she left them Midoriya had a stupid smile on his face at the fact he had a chance to talk with sweet and nice girl this early in morning(Didn't actually talk).

While Naruto looked at her back dubiously.

Did she ignored him even though he was right in front of him? Or did she avoided him because he was giving of emo-.. no that just can't be, he's not emo-boy, she must have ignored him in favor to talk with Midoriya. Or maybe she just doesn't noticed him.

Days ago he wouldn't have minded if she ignored him but somehow he kind of become self-conscious after his talk with Hawks just the other day, he curse Hawks for creating a very stupid insecurity inside of his head even if he was unconscious of that fact.

Naruto turn his head to see Midoriya has stupid expression on his face at the fact he just talked with a girl (he didn't), he took a deep sigh and quietly entered exam hall with Midoriya, he won't be getting his answer from moss haired boy anytime soon.

After quick explanation about exam procedure and a little interruption from glasses-boy, Naruto was standing in front of gate above which a large D was written, indication it was battle center D, while Midoriya had B and Bakugo had A, means no student from same school will team up.

All they have to do is defeat four type of robots who will pose as villains, Each type of robot gives them different points, starting with simple robot which earns them 1 points, then a little advance robot which will earn 2 points after that a little more advance robot which will earns 3 points and at last is the giant robot who will earn them absolutely no points.

Naruto could tell from that there is some kind of special meaning to that robot but decided not to dwell too much on it, he stretched a little to prepare himself for exam.

As Naruto looked at the large gate in front of him he couldn't help but marvel at space and refined replica of city inside Mock Battle center, and all this was just for entrance exam, there is no doubt that U.A is used to getting very gracious amount of donation from Government for them to held exam of such big scale with so many robots. Naruto was sure with a shadow of doubt that those robots must be extremely expensive and they are just going to destroy those robots just for points.

Naruto couldn't help but feel ridiculous at the large amount of money they are going to throw away for just the sake of entrance exam.

Naruto saw gate quietly opened without a noise, he looked around for any kind of signal for the start of examination but got none so he quietly slipped inside the gate without anyone noticing.

After walking for a bit he heard someone shout at other examinees that exam has already began as everyone began to rush inside the battle center in hurry to get as many points as they possibly could.

Just as he pass by a corner he saw from the corner of his eyes a 2 point robot was rushing towards him with incredible speed only for it to pass through him and slammed into wall behind him and destroy itself on in process.

BAM

"Well….that was surprisingly easy?" He blinked in somewhat surprised face as he looked at destroyed robot, he thought that robots would be hard to destroy but there were actually not that hard.

It shouldn't be that surprising considering this is exam for young aspiring hero's, not fully trained professional heroes.

Beside not every hero has combat type quirks so it would make sense for them to make robots weak enough so students can easily earn points.

Pulling the steel wire from his pocket he ran towards 3 point robot who was running towards him, just as robot was about to hit him, robot hands pass through his body and his head was cut off courtesy of Naruto circling his wire around robot's head and kicking it hard enough to come off its frame.

Naruto looked around himself to see camera was installed in every corner of city, that means they are watching everyone present here with those camera and it will also means he will have to refrain himself from showing his true skills in front of them and have to show them just enough to pass him.

He jumped up from the arms of three pointer robot than came from his behind and he ran on its arms before he grabbed its head and with the momentum swing of his body he slammed the robot in ground hard enough to destroy its head along with his back.

Naruto picked up the piece of steel that fell out robot body and thrust it into another robot chest who was chasing after some girl near him. Just as he stabbed the piece of steel through his body, the robot burst out in light explosion.

Naruto jumped from robot to roll on the ground and stand up straight in one single smooth motion.

He quickly began run as he saw a one point robot was chasing after him, seeing him run, robot run after him even faster to catch him, just as Robot was about to catch him, Naruto body slightly fizzled as robot went through him and was slammed into road side water pump, which release a torrent of water, using robot's body part, Naruto put the pressure on the torrent of leaking water to change its direction towards every robots running around him, causing every robot to short circuit and exploded on its own.

That stunt should earn him at least 27 points and counting others robots that he had destroyed it should be about 38 points.

Naruto looked around himself to see how others examinees were fairing and decided to get third or fourth highest score of this battle center, his gaze lands from one examinees to other, he heard from the female examinee with pink body and horns on her head, whose quirk was to shoot acid from her hand and legs that her score was around 47, after that there was another girl with orange hair and really big hands who just counted her score to be 52 which was the highest score here, he decided to one up his game and proceed to destroy 4 more robots, which would make his score about 46, after which he decided to rest up and not go after any more robot.

Soon after that giant Zero pointer robot showed up and just like everyone else he decided to run away from that giant-no-point-robot.

He was sure that Giant robot has some kind of important purpose in this exam but he don't really know what was the purpose of this robot? Was this some kind of test for them to see how future aspiring hero will react to a villain who won't earn them any fame? Or is it to see their willingness to face an unbeatable villain? Or something along those lines.

There was lots of uncertain factor considering the giant robot but Naruto simply decided not to do anything about it.

He was sure defeating that robot was some kind of special test that will give them some sort of short cut to hero program in U.A but he ignored it because he knew he had ranked up enough points to pass this exam easily.

Siren

A loud siren went off signaling the end of exam, he heard some people complaining that they was only able to get around 20 to 30 points, looking at the faces of other examinees Naruto could tell about 4 student excluding him was able to score above 40 points just from their relived expression and body language.

All In all he was sure by the ratio of his exam center and similarly other exam center he's guaranteed to pass the exam.

[One week later]

It's been one weeks since Exam ended and he got his acceptance letter just yesterday with hologram of one of the teacher from school saying he was accepted into school with the rank of 27th place. His adopted family threw a small celebration party for him getting accepted into one of the most prestigious school one.

Right now Naruto was silently sitting in the counter of his bakery shop, he was bored out of his mind, he has nothing to do, he can't even read a book, since he had read every single book in his shelve and school library won't allow them book at this time of year, since for their middle school will end shortly after graduation ceremony, which will be held tomorrow.

Naruto saw from the corner of his eyes, Kei and her friends were chatting at corner end table of the café, he saw that some her friends would briefly steal a look of him from time to time, he can tell they wanted him to initiate the conversation with them, but he being social stunted hormonal teenager he just couldn't do that.

Sometime he wished he can be as smooth as those guy from western movies shows, while he does part look like westerner people with his blonde hair and blue eyes, he not as good as them when it comes to their charming behavior.

He unconsciously created the image of westerner people in his mind like that because of all those movies and T.V shows that Kei would like force him and Akito to watch.

Maybe if he use one of those guys as example he might be able to make some friends in U.A that would be great! He wonder how many peoples he can befriend on first day, surely if he plays his card right he might be able to catch a friend or two on first day…right?

But what if he messed up on first day, he knew by know that most of the friends group forms on the first day of class!

He definitely have to make some new friends on first day!

Key rule should be not act like Emo-boy, of which he was not even sure what emo boy act is all about?

Since he was sure he never did act like Emo-boy, plus while people said a lot of thing about him, no one has ever said he was like Emo-boy, maybe it was Hawks way of messing with him!

'That must be the reason' he concludes to himself!

Because there's no way in the hell he's an emo-boy, he will show him by making some friends on first day of his school.

He mused to himself as all those useless thought keep drifting through his head.

Naruto unconsciously slip a small smile on his face, having useless thoughts like that also have charm on his own.

"What are you grinning at? Are you thinking something dirty?" Kei spoke as she come up towards the counter with grin on her face to get refills for her friends.

"I'm not grinning" Naruto replied evenly

He was smiling? He can't see his face, so he was not really sure if he was smiling? He did feel his lips twitch at little but it was still hard to tell.

Or maybe fantasying about how he would be social bird from the start and going to make some friends made him all happy inside? But he still can't say that for sure.

"Oh~ Does that mean you were thinking something dirty right?" She wiggled her brow at him as she slung her arm around his neck as she pointed towards her friends "So who is it?" she asked.

Naruto lightly free himself from her grip and gave her indifferent look "I wasn't thinking anything dirty about your friends" He lowered Kei's hand which was still pointed towards her friends so that they won't see her doing that and misinterpreting it for something else.

"C'mon I know you were thinking something dirty, you never grin like that, tell me who is it? Is it chihiro or shizune or-wait! Don't tell me it's someone from your school" she pushed him harder to spill the beans

Naruto looked annoyed at her noisy attitude "I told you I don't like anyone like that" he shooed her away.

"Boo~ If you don't tell me who you like, how can I help you get a girlfriend" she shakes his arm with pout "I'm the Onee-chan of the house, it's my responsibility to help my social awkward Nalu-chan and bookworm Aki-chan to get a girlfriend, I don't want them to remain virgin throughout their whole life" she thump her chest with 'thomp' and gave him enlighten smile.

She apparently took the responsibility of cupid for both of her little brothers to set them up with a girlfriend, while Naruto was not exactly oppose to that idea of getting a girlfriend in the future he was not thrilled about it either.

He had learned firsthand her ability of set up date can be very disastrous.

Naruto could feel his eyebrow twitch a little at the nick name, at quick glance Naruto looked around to see that fortunately no one was paying that ridiculous name any attention, Kei friend were talking amongst themselves while other patronage of the café were doing their own stuff.

"I'm only one year younger than you so please don't call me by that ridiculous name" Naruto hotly whisper.

It's one thing to be called 'loner loser' by those guys at his middle school but it's entirely different thing to be called by that silly nick name in public by his older sister figure.

"I will stop calling you that if you tell me you who's the girl you like?"

Seeing her stubborn attitude he couldn't help but sigh, she won't let him be until he say it, looks like there is no other option but to give her what she wants.

"You know Akito already has girlfriend, right?"

He mentally apologize to Akito as he saw Kei's eye widen at the information before it began to sparkle in wonder as if asking for more juicy information "Cough up the name!" She practically shoved herself in his face.

"I don't really know her? I just saw him one time going on a date with her"

Her mouth open and closed few time as her mind process the information.

"Oh~ I can't wait to find out, but I still can't believe that nerdy-kun can get a girlfriend by himself without his onee-chan help! But I kind of feel like I have been betrayed!" Kei murmured to herself in excitement.

Seeing her excitement at the news he couldn't help but feel relieved, as for Akito he can't say anything with certainty.

'But better him than I' he don't have any problem sacrificing his older brother figure if it saves him from her nagging for a while.

So this chapter was short and light because I wanted to show characterization of how I will present Naruto in this fanfiction and some light bonding with characters.

He is social awkard guy with his somewhat manipulative and grey personality who just wants to enjoy a normal highschool life and wants to make some friends just like everyone else. He wants to grow as a person with that experience.

As for robots I do think they must have been weak since even students like Toru, Mineta and koda manage to pass the enterance exam, while I'm not dissing them they all had more of supportive type quirk than fighting type.

I'm trying to improve my writing by reading and learning grammar and wording process all over again but somehow I don't think I'm improving that much, so if anyone has some kind of suggestion about how I can improve my English, please tell me!
