"shhhh" Bucky hugged him "I Know,dont be sorry peter.Take your time"
After about 30 more minutes of them talking and bucky making sure peter would understand that they will help him buck left peter to sleep and got upstairs to join the others again.
As he entered the kitchen all heads turned to him. Nobody said anything, bucky just came closer and sat down on a stool next to the kitchen island.They were still looking at him.
Bucky decided to talk first,
"so...peter is fine.We talked and I made sure that he knows we'll help him get through this"
Tony didnt comment on that.He simply replied "did he tell you why he wanted to see you?"
"uhm" Bucky cleared his throat "yeah he did actually"
"so?" Steve asked him, inpacient
Bucky got up from the stool and turned to get sole coffee "well he explained that he felt most comfortable talking to me because I have experience with what he's going through right now.You know? with all that Hydra stuff, he said that he wanted to talk to me first because I know what he's feeling like.Because I can understand"
"hm" Tony scratched his nose.
"does make sense to me" Sam said, looking around the group.
"yeah.it does" Tony confirmed.
Tony got up, bucky looked up from his coffee and quickly said "but the boy is asleep now, dont bother"
Tony looked at him, narrowed his eyes and got back to the couch. He sat down and buried his head in his hands.Nat sat down beside him and put a hand on his back.
"he will be okay tony.We will do everything we can to make sure he'll get through this mess just fine"
Tony let out a sigh and nodded "yeah..."
Later that day the Avengers were having dinner.
"so, what are we gonna do?" Wanda broke the silence
"i have no idea" Clint answered looking at his food, exhausted.
"Bruce, what do you think?" Thor asked the doctor sitting right next to him.
bruce looked up and rubbed his hands together "well we've never dealt with such thing but we already thought of a few methods.I think it would really helpful if we could get some files from hydra on the topic and maybe bucky could be a lot of help for us"
"what can i do?" bucky asked back, curiosity on his eyes
"you can tell us about everything you had going on during your time with hydra and maybe some methods you can remember that worked for you"
"King T'challa (RIP Chadwick) freezed me in wakanda.Thats how we got it in the end"
"yeah but before that,when you went off with steve and sam and after you got out.Because if i remember correctly you werent frozen the whole time until we came to wakanda, you got out and lived there for some time.You had to have something that got you out of the hypnosis state"
Bucky looked down at his empty plate "yeah okay.I'll think of that"
"so, the code words were russian right?" Rhodey wanted to make sure
"yes." Nat simply answered
"he heared those words and it kicked in."
"so which words exactly?" Sam asked
"well it was when natasha and i were talking in russian.It could have been any of those words..." Bucky mumbled
"shit"
"maybe" Tony said, pointing his fork at Bruce "if we rewind the security camera footage, i'm sure F.R.I.D.A.Y recorded that day, we can make out the code words"
Bruce took a few seconds to think and answered with a slight nodd "Yes...Yes that could work tony"
"then let's do it" Natasha said,getting up,ready to go.
The Team got up and followed Tony to his Office where he sat down in his chair and turned his tech on.
"Fri?" He asked for his AI
"yes sir?"
"can you play back the footage of the dinner that evening when peter had the incident?"
It took the AI a second before a video turned up.It was them sitting at dinner,talking.
"turn up Volume to 83 percent"
They watched the footage, looking at every detail, eyes on peter.
"There" Clint pointed at the screen "thats when bucky and nat started with the russian"

"i know..you can test me if you want me to prove it to you that badly you know?"
"okay.maybe i will. And I could ask you anything?"
"anything."
"hm okay."

Tony sat back. "rude"
Bucky was holding in his laugh

he smiled at tony and nat snorted at bucky's answer.
" whats going on?" Tony said, confused
"nothing,nothing" Nat assured him,got herself together and asked bucky another question.

"what?!" Nat replied "Answer"
The others looked confused

"okay, that was it" Tony paused the video "thats when we noticed something was wrong with peter"
"what did you talk about?" Wanda asked
"uhm" Nat started "at first i asked him where we were and he answered that we were at the avengers Tower.."
Bruce interrupted "no, natasha, please say it exactly like you did then, otherwise we cant tell which words had an inpact on peter"
Nat let out a long breath "okay... so i asked "where are we right now" and bucky answered "easy.We're at the avengers tower" . Then I...-she smiled- I asked how old Tony is"
"so thats why you said my name!" Tony pointed at her. He looked dead serious at bucky "what did you say to that"
Bucky was holding in his laugh but couldnt hold it for very long and busted out laughing.So did nat.
"great" Tony commented
"okay okay" Bucky started again "i said, and i quote,
"i have no idea.But he's very old"
Tony gasped dramatically
Clint snorted and put a hand on bucky's shoulder
"hahaha omg thats great" Sam said laughing
"yeah yeah yeah" Tony began "and then?"
Natasha stopped laughing and got back to it "then i asked "when was the last time you had a girl over" and bucky just rudely answered "come on nat,no" and when i teased him he said "stop" and thats it"
"okay i got that" Bruce said
"Let's rewatch the Clip and see if we can tell when peter starts to change" Wanda suggested and so they did
"There! look!" Clint again pointed at the screen "did you see that?"
"what?" Sam asked confused
"a few seconds Back ...THERE! see how he flinched?"
"omg yes you're right" Tony agreed
"thats new" Clint mumbled quietly
"at what exactly did he flinch at though?" Thor asked curiously
"lets play it back in slowmotion FRI " Tony told his AI
They looked precicely at peters mimic
Tony stopped the Video
"...omg" Wanda let out
"he flinched at "Tony", right?" Rhodey asked
"Yes." Tony himself answered
"oh man.." Bruce sighed
"so you are one of the code words" Bucky said "thats not good"
"what do you mean?" Thor asked him
"using people as Code Words..thats usually..." Bucky looked at Tony
"what" Natasha was eager to hear him say it
"When they use people as code words it usually means that they're special targets"

"so peter is brainwashed into assassinating me? thats great,thats really great" Tony scratched his neck
