Natsu's POV

"There's no way."

"It's possible."

I turned and glared at Erza. "You agree with it?"

She sighed "I'm not sure, what she brought up makes sense."

"So? Just because she was married to Zeref doesn't mean anything! It's like blaming Luce for being his daughter!"

Erza and Levy grew quiet.

"He's right."

My eyes widened in surprise. "You agree with me Ice Queen?"

He glared at me. "Yeah, but we also have no evidence to prove anything."

"Then we get some."

I raised my eyebrows "And how do you plan on doing that?"

Erza smirked "We'll think of something."

"Hey Shrimp."

Levy sighed "How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that Gajeel?"

He chuckled "Get used to it." He turned to me and Erza. "Makarov is looking for you two."

I blinked "Do you know why?"

He shook his head "No just that it's important."

I nodded. "Alright, Thanks."

A few minutes later we found ourselves in Gramps office.

"I'm glad Gajeel found you both so quickly."

Erza nodded. "Of course, but why do you need us?"

Gramps sighed and looked down at his desk. "Mavis may have found a reason as to why Lucy wasn't in the spirit world."

Erza stared at him. "You don't sound happy Master, why?"

Gramps sighed again and looked at us both before answering. "Mavis believes that Lucy has already been reincarnated."

Erza lowered her head staying silent.

"What do you mean Gramps?"

He looked over at me and I was shocked to see that his eyes were filled with tears. "It means that Lucy's spirit has moved on and been reborn into a new life."

I felt numb. "So we'll never see her again..."

He nodded "I'm afraid so."

I looked over at Erza and saw tears running down her cheeks. "N-No!" I slammed my hands on his desk causing them both to jump. "I refuse to believe that!"

"Natsu" Erza placed her hand on my shoulder. "It makes sense."

I shook off her hand and glared at them both "I don't believe it, I can't believe it."

I quickly stormed out of his office and the guild.

"You did Good, a little over the top but still Good."

I spun around to face Erza. "Do you think he bought it?"

She nodded. "Now that he believes we bought her story we can do some digging."

I nodded slowly. "Alright, but I still don't see it being Mavis."

Erza shrugged. "It doesn't matter, we'll find out one way or another."

I lowered my head and stared at the ground. "Erza, do you believe it?"

I heard her sigh "No, at least I don't want to."

I smiled "You think she lied to him?"

"Yes, I just hope I'm Right."
