? (1) POV
As I finished my watch, I couldn't help thinking about Raven and her son settling down like hermits in a crappy hotel, 'I know how that feels, especially when…' I shook my head free of those thoughts, entered the warehouse and started to take off my gear. Once again my mind drifted towards the former Teen Titan and her kin.
I sighed as I decided to call the only person who knew the real me. I dialed the number... the call went straight to voicemail.
'Where are you?'
I waited for the beep and conveyed my message, "Hey, it's me… I have news... She's here.. Raven is here in Titan City and she brought her son…" I hung up the phone and looked at the time. The meeting will be starting soon, and I pray that my "shadow" will be here on time.
3rd Person POV
The Titans had just rounded up Cinderblock when the almost heartbreaking scent of herbal tea and dust hit Changeling's nose. In a heartbeat, his feelings of the past screened across his head like an old movie. Back when he was known by another name; back when his whole world revolved around the girl he knew as Raven. He immediately looked to the origin point of the scent.
There, on the side of the road, stood a woman who he never thought he would see again. This person was was older, and she looked very nervous. The biggest thing was she was looking straight at him, and when their eyes met, he knew. Without thinking, he rushed to her, and ignored the confused looks of the rest of his friends. He paused in front of her, clenching his fists and fighting the urge to hug one of his oldest friends.
"Raven..." he breathed, his heart full of joy and confusion. The woman took a step forward, and it allowed her scent to wash over him.
"Miss me?" the women, who was now identified as Raven, asked quietly. Without thinking, Changeling pulled Raven into a crushing hug.
"You came back..." he whispered, his voice in a slight waver.
"Can't... breathe..." Raven wheezed out.
Changeling immediately let go and Raven almost dropped to the ground, but quickly caught her by the waist and steadied her. Almost gasping at the position, Raven's mind was a mess.
"Garfield…" she mumbled in her haze, and a loud cough from next to the reunited two made them both jump back. Kane tried to hide his excitement as he slid next to his mother, who was still dazed from the human contact that had just occurred. Simultaneously, Changeling was trying to keep his cool in front of Raven and trying his very best not to hurt the young person in front of him for interrupting his reunion with the love of his-
'Woah dude, too soon.'
Changeling finally spoke aloud, "Who's this?" He watched as Raven's face went through a series of emotions that can only be described as absolute panic. Her entire body was tense and she seemed to be in trouble with finding words.
"He's- well- he's my…" she stuttered out, unable to find the words. Her saving grace came from the other Titans approaching the three with complete curiosity.
"Change? Who is…" Nightwing trailed off as he looked at a face he thought he would never see again. The person he thought of to be his sister once upon a time, "Raven." A loud gasp came from Nightwing's side, Starfire rushed over and hugged Raven tightly.
"Again with the hugging…" Raven sarcastically wheezed out. A loud squeal of confirmation from Starfire had everyone but Kane and Changeling reeling.
"Raven? Why are you…" Cyborg piped up, and like that, everyone but Kane was surrounding her. Her head was spinning and she couldn't breathe. This was all too quick, too fast, too much. The last thing Raven remembers before she her vision goes black is strong arms wrapping around her to keep her from hitting the ground.
