The Little Girl and the Ottomans
Chapter 19
Large energy beams fall from the sky, trying to hit a small target on the ground. Each blast scorched the ground, burning any plant life around it to ash. But that wasn't a concern for Trousk. Zapper just had to go at Sargon alone. It angered him, and he knew he was gonna yell at him later, but his main focus is to destroy the Mavericks that are working for him.
He soon stops in his tracks. He aims his crystal arm towards the ground before firing a beam of light from it. The force launches him into the air, flying so fast that he reaches the mountain-top base in no time. He crashes through one of the metal buildings. The robots inside all aimed their weapons at him, while he does the same.
Before a hail of energy bullets could be fired, the building was hit by a massive force. The robots tried to get out, but an explosion rose through it, incinerating the robots. Trousk would've jumped out, but something slams into him and launching the both of them out. They tumbled down the mountain a bit before stopping on a ledge. Trousk shook his head and stood up, only to find Zapper beside him.
"What in the gods name was you thinking!?" the general yells, picking up the reploid.
"There's no time for that! Look up!"
He glares upwards, only to see the smoldering ruins of the building they fell out of careening towards them. He gritted his sharp teeth as he and Zapper leaped out of the way as it crashed into the ledge, pulverizing it before crashing at the base of the mountain. A hail of energy bullets followed right after, forcing the two soldiers to take cover behind some rocks.
"You find the source of that energy spike, soldier!?" Trousk yelled.
"Some robot was being used to generate some sort of portal!" Zapper yelled back.
"That's a fir-"
Suddenly, something bursts from the rock that Zapper was hiding behind, slamming its fist into the reploid and sending him tumbling down the mountain. The figure grabbed one of the chunks of rock and threw it at Trousk, knocking him on the head. However, he did not fall, and quickly recovered, firing a blast of fire from his arm cannon.
The figure jumped above it and landed behind him. It grabbed his tail and flung him hard. He felt his back smack against the side of a nearby mountain. He spat out blood as the figure was suddenly in front in him. He growled at the sight.
"Sargon!" Trousk roared.
"Yeah that's my name. Surprised you're here as well. Though, in all honesty, with that Zapper fellow being here, I suppose that you wouldn't be far behind," Sargon chuckled. Trousk stepped out of the crater as the robot hovered into the air.
"Very funny. How about we end this now," Trousk said, aiming his arm cannon at the robot. Sargon scoffed as electricity sparked from his hands.
"Good point. Can't wait."
Back at the now destroyed Ottoman base:
The Archive was a building that only the highest of military authority could access. Shifu just so happened to be one of them. He takes out a small card and swipes it into the slot. The light turns off, meaning that the lock is no longer active. The door slowly opens as he and the others step inside. The room is filled with blue lights and holograms that represent different points in history. Dates ranging from 1919 up to now had been documented.
"Doesn't this place remind you of something?" Damien asked those from his side.
"I don't wanna know," Owen grumbled. He looks down at Shifu. "Why exactly did you guys attack the island anyway?"
"You see, we wanted that land because it was the only place that wasn't desert...and we lost. We did not expect them to be so powerful," Shifu began. This only adds more proof that there is something behind them, well, to Vida anyway.
"What happened after?" Quinn asked him.
"Our leader...didn't take it too kindly. He manipulated the records given to the public to rewrite history to make us seem like the heros. One of those changes includes removing the island entirely, with another being the inclusion of heros and villains that don't actually exist and are simply reploids. As you can see, me and those of Jenny's team are ones that went through this change," he continued.
Everyone went quiet after that. If its coming from what they assume to be the wisest entity in this base, then it must be true.
"Who are the heros and villains that are part of the real history?" Vida questioned him. Shifu walked over to a large pedestal in the middle of the room. It seems to be of importance considering how old it looks.
"I'll show you."
With that, the room became enveloped in a bright light.

Beginning Time Projection:
The world began to change after WW1. The creation of superweapons was rampant, and during the Second World War, one was finally achieved. What was this superweapon? It wasn't a weapon, per say. Instead, it was a man...a man named Steve Rodgers. Given a power boost thanks to a special serum, he would become the first modern hero. This was the start of the age of heros...as well as the age of villains.
After he was encased in ice following an attempt to stop the Germans from destroying New York with a secret atomic bomb, the blueprints for said bomb were taken by the Americans, who used it to create their own nuclear arsenal that they would test across the Pacific. One of these would awaken our first known Earth-born kaiju, Gojira. It laid waste to Tokyo before it was eventually killed by a scientist through as of yet unknown means.
After its arrival, more and more kaiju would appear. Its thanks to these monsters that Japan advanced much faster than any other nation on the planet. They had already created the most powerful weapons, such as the all-purpose battleship Gotengo, the giant robot Jet Jaguar, and also taken in an alien superhero named Zone Fighter, all of which helped in keeping the monsters as bay. Not all of these monsters were bad though. A second Gojira and a giant turtle named Gamera would become Earth's guardians, fighting giant monsters that sought to destroy our country.
Japan was very secret in its endeavors. Already it had set up the first moon bases, explored beyond Mars, and fight aliens from many lightyears away. The United Nations did not know of these.
As more kaiju appear, other, more human problems arose. In the early 1980's, Tokyo was destroyed once more, not by a kaiju, but by multiple mythical beings that, well, are no longer seen as mythical. The ancient general Trousk of Zlarcan mythology defeated a very powerful adversary that day.
Ever since he appeared, everyone agreed that he was a mutant. These mutants have appeared throughout history, but became rampant after WW2 because of excess radiation. They evolved extraordinary powers because of their mutations, and they grew to be feared.
The 1980's to 2010's is known as the Age of Heros because a huge spike in heroic and powerful forces emerged. Monsters such as Godzilla, Gamera, Zilla, and many others protected our planet from large threats, such as when they broke free of their mind control when an alliance of aliens took control of Earth's monsters back in 1999. But some of the real heros of this period are some of the most powerful beings to ever walk this Earth. The Avengers and the Justice League formed, all taking in other powerful heros such as Danny Phantom, the Powerpuff Girls, Robotboy, and many others. It truly was an age of heros.
All that ended in 2018. They all failed to stop a mad, monstrous alien named Thanos from collecting multiple "Infinity Stones." Half of the universe, along with many heros, perished during the climatic battle of this year.
After this, the world went downhill. Danny went insane, destroying many cities before vanishing for hundreds of years. The Avengers and Justice League pretty much disbanded. And, to top it all off, the world went into a world war. Even though the universe was saved in 2023, the damage was already done. A few heros would emerge after this, but most of the period after 2018 was full of disaster.
The mutants vanished after a gene was added to a food crop that would take away their powers. A strain of genetically engineered measles virus led to a zombie outbreak in the Americas, along with the invasion of dinosaurs from the island of Isla Nublar, leading to the death of the nations there, though thanks to Japan, the rest of the world did not follow. Alien invades continued attacking. It really was a mess, so much so that a company by the name of Wayland-Yutani began exploring space as a way to fix Earth's problems.
The world changed once more in the early 2100s. An archeologist named Dr. Cain discovered a long abandoned but highly advanced lab, built over a hundred years before him. He discovered a lone robot that was later code-named X. X was used as a blueprint to create a new race of machines, much more advanced than anything built before, known today as Reploids.
Some of these Reploids turned "Maverick" leading to the most devastating series of wars the world has ever known. At the same time, the planet itself cooled as an ice age gripped the planet. And soon, little was left of the overworld. The Maverick Wars led to countless deaths of human, reploid, animal, and plant life. Not very many humans exist anymore outside of Japan. The Americas is off limits due to the disease and dinosaurs, and the world is still under the grip of the ice age. The one remaining bastion was Zlarca, which the Ottomans, the last remaining nation that wasn't Japan, wanted, leading to a small war that ended in Ottoman failure.
Time Projection Complete. Shutting Down
Everyone did not know what to say. This wasn't what they were told. This Earth...was not like theirs. It was largely abandoned, with what little reploids and humans left to fight over the last little pieces of habitable land. Japan seemed to be the last nation to hold on to power on Earth, the Moon, and other celestial bodies.
"My god..." Quinn shuttered at the thought.
"So you see now? All of what you've been fighting for...was actually a lie," Shifu told them.
"...we need to get Val back," Owen told everyone."If this world is no longer safe, then we need to get Val out of here."
"But what about those other guys? Didree? Felix? Who were they then?" Damien asked.
"Nothing."
Everyone turned to the entrance. It wasn't a human, nor reploid, but a ghost.
"Who are you?"
"I am Clockwork. I was given a new task by the Earth's deities to fix the timeline, getting rid of entities that did not belong here. Many of the villains you saw I have since snapped away. You best be thankful, for your troubles are now over."
With that, the ghost vanished. Everyone felt confused, but considering what Shifu had told them...they probably should believe him. Everyone looked at each other and nodded.
They gotta get Val back.
Another chapter down! I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Leave a review if you want to see some of your ideas in this story or just, well, have a review!
It seems we are learning more about the true nature of this Earth compared to Dolphinheart99's Earth. Definitely a lot stranger and...well, more barren. I wonder what happens next? (lol)
Anyway, this is Sporedude135, signing off...
