Chapter 1:

Author's Note : This is not going to be Caleo guys nor is it going to be Percabeth. This is strictly going to be Perlypso. This is going to contain a little bit of drama. I've always wanted to see Perlypso since the time I read the The Battle of Labyrinth. And what better chance to see it when I can create it myself.

Finally I was able to pass out of college. Now you maybe wondering if I am so glad to graduate from college I must have some kind of "Grand Plan" or perhaps that I may have graduated from universities like Yale, Harvard or Stanford and I'm about to pursue a job which guarantees 6 or 7-digit figure salary, well then you are utterly and hopelessly wrong. Yup that's the truth.

Wait a minute I haven't even introduced myself uggh, where are my manners. My name is Calypso Atlas Greaves, 22 years old and I live in Florida. Well there you go, now you know me, huh, perhaps some more details will be good so anyway here it is – I have graduated with a degree in Nursing, I am currently working at St. Helen Hospital which I'm currently heading to, and also one tiny detail which is totally unimportant (sarcasm) is that I am under a huge debt which I'm going to pay starting my first year of full-time employment. Hooray, now are you happy since you got to know about my sad and pathetic life.

"Hey Cal" I was broken out of my reverie by my friend Will Solace who also works at St Helen Hospital and is my colleague.

"Oh hey Will how are you?" I asked.

"Well I'm okay I guess but what about you, you don't look so good".

"Huh me what do you mean?"

"Well you were just spacing out and you were emitting that 'It's all hopeless' aura" Will declared.

Wait what, was I really looking that pathetic on my first day of job. Oh my God, Calypso, buckle up I can't keep this up , remember be positive.

"Nah I was not spacing out I was just thinking how exciting our first day is going to be" I said.

"Yeah suuure" Will said.

"What I'm telling the truth"

"Who said you were lying"

"Is that so then stop giving me that 'I-know-there's-something-up' look."

"Well like I said you were spacing out since you already did reach the hospital but you were going ahead nonetheless."

What, I immediately checked my surrounding and sure enough I was at least 20 steps ahead of my original destination. Well great just great now what am I going to say to him and seeing how Will is, he's not going to drop the subject.

"Hahahaa you see I was you know just…." But before I could finish I was interrupted by the most annoying elfish looking boy of the century but today for once I was so glad to see him that I wouldn't mind his horrible flirting.

"Hey Sunshine" said Leo Valdez.

Now a quick intro of Leo is in order- he is annoying, he has an unhealthy obsession with fire, he looks like elf and he is a bit on the short side. Although he doesn't like being called short. So yeah this pretty much sumps up the not-so-glorious Super Sized Mcshizzle which he likes to call himself.

"Leo call me Sunshine one more time and I swear I will break all your machineries."

"Wow cool down miel , what got all your wires twisted, huh?" asked Leo.

"Wait a minute isn't the saying "said Will.

"Doesn't matter mejor Amiga and you forget I'm all about mechanics." Interrupted Leo.

"Well if you are done Leo, me and Will have work to attend to so bye."

"Yeeah about that novia I'm gonna be your new coworker starting from today for at least 6 months you see." He said finishing it with a wink.

No, this is a dream right?

But no deep down I know that no matter how much I wish for my life to be simple I just know it will never be. Fates are cruel.

"What do you mean our new co-worker Leo?" asked Will.

"Yeah please explain." I said.

"Well you see my friends, Mr. Asclepius the hospital owner said that since the hospital is not so much in good condition he thinks it will be a good idea to renovate the whole thing which would frankly only take at most 2 months to complete the whole process if he just shut down the whole building and gave us the keys but since he says that there are many workers who have their livelihood and other things such as yada yada yada depending on it, so he thinks it will be best if we take the whole process slow and do things one at a time, so yeah that's the reason why me and some of my friends will be working in this hospital for at least 6 months." Said Leo.

Yeah like I said fates are cruel.

"So out of all the companies the contract would go to for renovation it just had to be Hephaestus Forges."

"Whaaat you break my heart amante, our company is the best in all of the Florida, so of course we would get the contract."

"Guys I think we are getting late for work." Will said.

"Yeah let's go." Saying that I almost sprinted to the hospital since I don't think I would've been able to handle talking to Leo anymore.

After that our first day was all about getting to know senior staff, and also quick review of how to handle talking to customers which we already learned in college while Leo and his friends spent the whole day checking for the things which will need immediate fix-up or tuning or whatever he preferred to call it.

Yeah so I was glad when my whole day went well without a hitch but like I said fates are cruel. Because I was going to meet the most annoying (yeah I know I said Leo was the most annoying but he is even more annoying than him) and the most handsome man I have ever met. Wait a minute I just did not said that, yeah I didn't said it yup yup I didn't said it. So yeah I was going to meet the most annoying person I've ever met and just to emphasize my point that "Fates are Cruel", is because no matter what, I was going to fall in love with him.
