Nothing too interesting here.

"Mmm..."

Was the gentle hum Naoto made as she lay in her boyfriend's arms in the bed in her apartment. She felt his strong arms wrap around his back as he held her close. She could feel the heavy breathing against his chest the chaff feeling of their bodies still covered in sweat from their romp just a couple minutes earlier. Out of habits, Naoto drew the kanji for his name with her fingers on his chest causing him to twitch then laugh a little.

"Hmm?" Souji laughed a little more and cuddled Naoto closer to him.

"It just tickles."

Naoto giggled at his reaction, lightly kissing his chest, settling into his grasp. She shuffled her legs to make sure she entwined them with his.

"I really missed you Souji-kun."

She heard the former leader sigh, almost downcast at the thought.

"I'm sorry." He said simply. Naoto looked up in concern at him knowing tone. She saw his face, his frown now centre stage while he looked at the sealing of her apartment bedroom, eyes quite distant seemingly staring into nothing.

"Don't be. You have nothing to apologise for." The detective said softly. Internally she kicked herself for not figuring out that it would have this effect on him.

"It's nice that you would say that..." His words trailed off as the cogs in his head worked to figure out what he was saying in a clear and thoughtful way. The former leader shuffled under the covers and turned his body to her. The sudden shift made it really easy for her eyes to become distracted by the rest of him as the heat quickly returned to her face but she held steady. "...I just didn't want to ever put you in that decision in the first place. I didn't want you to feel that you were alone or I abandoned you."

She put a finger to his lips and held it there signalling him to hold his words.

"Souji-kun..." Her eyes met his firmly. "...I'm fully away off the issues you need to face when you were first in Inaba and the eventuality of you needing to head back." She paused as she shuffled closer to him. Her breasts firmly pressed against his chest making him shiver, this wasn't lost on her. "I knew exactly what I was dealing with. Also you didn't need to treat me like I was some damsel in distress when you left. Who was the one that visited you?"

"You did." She pressed herself closer.

"Who was the one who travelled to Tokyo to make sure we always had a chance to be together when we both had time?"

"You did."

"Good. You don't have to feel bad for something that was beyond your control and you don't have to feel bad for me either. How about we cherish the time we have no?" Her left hand stroked his side soothingly as his face turned to thought as her words sunk in.

"Yeah I guess you are right." The sleuth raised an eye brow.

"I guess?"

Souji raised a hand in defence. Hoping to clear up his words.

"By all means what you are saying is true and I can't disagree with any of that but whenever we have to separate and I see your expression when we part, it's always hard you know..." Naoto's face softened at his words as she cuddled closer by tucking her head into the crook of his neck.

"Ah I see. You know what gets me through the times when separate?"

"Hmm?" His arms circled around her waist scooping her into him.

"The next time I'm able to see you face. Speak to you in person. Touch you in person. Even kissing you. All of those things are what drives me to see you again." The words made Souji blush as his heart clenched. He felt the same way but the way she put it was perfect to his ears.

"Yeah it's the same for me." The sleuth smiled. Happy she made her point. She leaned up and took his face in her hands. Pulling it down for a slow but yet passionate kiss, reminding him just how much he means to her. Pulling away, the fire that burned and yearned for him came back with a vengeance.

"I know this is selfish of me asking but..." Souji's face turned to his signature grin.

"You want to go again?" She looked down, face full of embarrassment. With a small yet bashful nod.

All Souji could do was roll over so he was hovering above her.

"I thought you would never ask Princess."

She yelped as his mouth attacked her neck but the giggles and laugh soon transformed to moans of delights as he began to pleasure her body in a way only he knew how.

Getting together was always Naoto's favourite time of the year.
