Chapter 02: Trying to patch things up
Last night was a bit hectic for Goo since it almost got eaten by Frankie, but the little blob hopes that tonight will be better. At least Goo has a new place to stay. Goo's new home is the school's kitchen where it's sleeping in the big pot that is often used for hearty soups, stews, and porridge. Of course it has to clean it before class. At least Goo will have plenty of food.
We see it gathering it's belonging and was about to leave for class, of course when Goo opened the door, Frankie was standing there as though he was waiting and it pretty much startled Goo.
Frankie offered to walk Goo to class, sadly Goo is still uneasy around Frankie so it politely declined and quickly crawled away. Frankie was dishearten, but he determined to make things right with Goo. And this is pretty much been happening all night.
Frankie offered Goo some food, but Goo says that it's happy with the food it brought along and went to the opposite direction. Frankie lend Goo some pencils, but Goo told him that it already have enough pencils. Frankie invited Goo to sit next to him, but Goo still doesn't trust him and sat next to Zizi. At recess, Goo was trying to push itself on the swing set, then Frankie offer to help. Goo tries to tell him he doesn't need to do so, but it was too late and Frankie gave the swing a might push which caused it to spin over the bar and flung Goo out and hitting a nearby wall on the other side of the playground.
All of the other Spookiz ran over where Goo had landed. It didn't have any injuries but it was still dizzy. Frankie offer his hand to help, but that was the last straw for Goo and started whaling angrily at Frankie. Goo told Frankie that it has had enough of him being around it and tells him to leave it alone.
All that anger hit Frankie hard and he ran away crying. The Spookiz glared at Goo. Sure Frankie almost had Goo killed but that no excuse for the way it treated their friend like that. "You know Goo, that was pretty mean what you said to Frankie." Said Kebi.
Goo sputtered in surprised. "Sure Frankie almost ate you last night and gotten you splatted by the swing, so what, he pretty much does stuff like this all time." Cula told the blob creature.
"At least we forgave Frankie for doing all those things." KongKong added.
"Frankie was trying real hard to make up for what he did to you." Zizi reminded Goo.
"Yeah Frankie can get destructive whenever he gets carried away and is clumsy and not very smart, but he's the nicest guy in our group and he likes to help others. That's what makes him a good friend. " Kebi told Goo.
Goo couldn't believe what it was hearing. They are being supportive of a creature that nearly killed it. "Look Goo," Cula put his hand on Goo's left side. "we know that you have every right to be angry at Frankie, but you need to know that Frankie is our friend and he wants you to be his friend."
Goo thought was Cula said and realized that he was right. Now it feels bad for saying all those hurtful things to Frankie. Goo went off to find him as the others watch.
"Do you think we were too hard on Goo?" KongKong felt bad making Goo feeling guilty.
"Maybe, but Goo need to know if one of gets hurt then we all got hurt." Cula told his sidekick.
"I just hope those two will be okay." Zizi was being concerned.
"Oh I think they'll be fine." Kebi reassured the zombie girl.
Goo went all over the school grounds looking for Frankie until it heard some crying in the distance and sees that it was Frankie sitting underneath his favorite apple tree. Goo carefully approached him and gave a little tap on his belly.
Frankie was startled at first but sees Goo next to him. He got up and tried to walk away, but Goo stopped him. Then Goo told Frankie that it is sorry being at him and saying those terrible things.
Frankie just gave Goo a sad look. He was sorry too for all of those things he done to Goo and it had every right to be angry at him.
Goo looked up at the apples in the tree and has an idea. It crawled up the tree and picked an apple and crawled back down. Goo remembered that Frankie offered it an apple when they first met and now Goo is doing the same thing.
Frankie looks at the apple and smiles for he too remembers and gladly accepts the apple. He was about to eat the apple but then looks at Goo as it was smiling at him. So Frankie did the next best thing, he broke the apple in half, however one half was bigger than the other, while being a gentle monster that he is, he gave Goo the bigger half which it happily accepts and they both starting eating their halves.
The rest of the Spookiz managed to find Frankie and Goo sitting under the tree and smiled. They were glad the two of them made up.
"Well looks like things will be okay with those two for now." Said Kebi.
"Yeah I think they'll get along just fine." Cula agreed.
"Do you think we should tell them that those apples are out of season?" KongKong suggested.
"Don't spoil the moment, KongKong." Cula advised.
Recess is over and the kids are heading back to class. Frankie offer to walk Goo class again and this time Goo accepts and the two went to class together.
"I think they make a cute couple." Zizi giggled. What Zizi said stunned the boys as they watch the two.
"Um lets see how this will turn out." Cula suggested and everyone agreed.
Thus ends our story.
A/N: Well I'm glad Frankie and Goo are now friends and maybe Zizi is right about them. This is my first Spookiz fanfic and I would make more with the Spookiz and new characters. What do you think?
