"You know I love you, Coraline," the voice of the Other Mother simpered, the sound of it coming through the tinny speakers of the Ninja's television.
Jay gagged. "What the heck! That's disgusting!"
From where she sat next to him, Nya laughed. "Come on, it's just a movie."
"It's so gross! Look at those fingers!" Jay cried.
"I'd rather not," Vania said quietly, cuddling up against Cole in the oversized armchair they shared and trying to shield her eyes. "That's too many needles for my taste."
"No kidding," Cole added, his arm around her shoulders warmly. He wasn't really looking at the screen. "Nasty."
Kai rolled his eyes. "You're all wimps. It's just needles."
"So says the one scared of needles," Zane commented.
Kai flushed, to everyone's amusement. "Hey, hold on! I'm not the only one, Jay is too!"
"At least I don't call other people wimps for not liking them too!" Jay retorted.
"Whatever." Lloyd rolled his eyes. He was sitting on the floor, back against the arm of the couch. "Can you guys just be quiet? There's not even half an hour left on the movie."
"Oh hush," Nya snickered. "We're having fun."
He pouted and waved his hands at the screen. "I'm trying to watch the movie!"
Cole snickered. "Fine. Everyone shut up."
"You're wrong, Coraline," the Other Mother sing-songed, as if on command.
Quiet ensued, only to be broken when Jay shuddered loudly. "Okay, I just– one thing. GROSS."
"Jay! Shut up!"
"What? It's the truth!"
