The twenty-two original contestants of Total Drama sit in front of a campfire. None of them look happy. The entirety of the comic is done as a voiceover from Heather.

"It was a reality show. But they knew what they wanted."

There is a photo of Gwen, branding her as a loner. A second photo shows Cody, branding him as the geek. A third photo appears of Duncan, he is branded as the delinquent. The final photo shows Heather, branded as the queen bee.

"They conveniently assigned us with personalities at the door, so it didn't matter if we hadn't developed ones of our own yet. In fact, it was preferred that we hadn't. To reinforce that, we were rewarded, when we did a good job of fulfilling our assigned role."

Heather thinks back to her time in Total Drama Island, a specific moment when the cameras were turned off and production ceased for the night. Chris walks up to her, smiling.

"Heather! That was fantastic! Ratings are waaaay up!" He says proudly. "Cause some real drama during the paintball challenge tomorrow, and you'll be safe from elimination… just between us."

"Those of us who were good at making ourselves indispensable prospered. It was all about how good we were at playing the role."

There are five pictures shown of Heather in Total Drama Island in a collage - photo 1, Heather is seen yelling at someone, that person not pictured; photo 2, Heather is about to read Gwen's diary out loud on TV; photo 3, Gwen is kissing Trent, who is the crush of Gwen; photo 4; Heather's head was shaved off, she is beaten up, and has visible bruising and puffy skin around her face, eye, cheeks, and ears, and she is angry; photo 5, she is wearing orange safety goggles, a deer nose, and an antler hat, though the antlers aren't visible in the photo, and she is staring off looking mad at another person who is not pictured.

"But it fucked us up. We were young."

From left to right, Tyler, Harold, Geoff, DJ, Duncan, and Courtney sit in front of the campfire, depressed.

"The line between who we really were and who we played on TV blurred more and more."

Total Drama Island Heather stares at a blank, bright pink TV screen.

"Until it just wasn't there anymore."

There is a photo of Heather with short hair. She is looking at the screen with a neutral face. On the sides of her are the same photo of her, but one is black and one is red.
