There are four photos from Heather's time on Total Drama as a series - the first photo is her stomping her foot on the ground as she gets angry; the second photo she is crouched in a ball hugging her knees, her hair has been shaved off in Total Drama Island. She looks sad with visible bruising and puffiness around her cheeks, eye, ear, and leg; the third photo, she is trapped in a hole during Total Drama World Tour and waiting for Alejandro to have the heart to let her out, allowing her to have a chance against him in the next round of the competition; the fourth photo, she is trying to distract Alejandro by falsely letting him believe she's wanting to kiss him out of love, but knees him in the crotch so she can secure the million dollar briefcase. so she can steal a briefcase from him, which would let her win Total Drama World Tour. This is a voiceover of Heather speaking of the past.
"Mean became who I was. It didn't matter that I wanted to stop. I never learned how to make healthy emotional connections. And mean was all I knew how to do."
Under these four photos of Heather is a volcano erupting.
"It came at a price. Ultimately, I think that he saved me."
There is a photo of Alejandro. He is shirtless, and has his arms crossed under his chin. He has a permanent burn scar on the left side of his face, on the top of his left shoulder, going down on his elbow and to the middle of his left arm. There is a pink flower background and two sketches of roses blooming on the sides of him.
"I got better for him."
In this flashback, Alejandro is wearing a maroon shirt, a black jacket, and black pants. His burn scar is only visible on his face. He is sitting on a wheelchair and Heather is sitting on his lap, smiling as Heather kisses his cheek near his burn scar. Alejandro's arm is around her while his other arm is placed on her knee and he is smiling. Heather is wearing red pants, a white shirt with three stripes down the middle - red, green, and blue - and her hand is over his chest.
"I learned and unlearned for him. I became the person I am today because it was who he needed me to be. I won't lie to you and say that it was easy. It was the hardest thing I've ever done."
The pink background with flowers fades. There is a photo of Heather staring at herself in the mirror. There are tears in her eyes. She has visibility shorter hair, is wearing a pink bra with a bow in the middle, and has a medical tape bandage wrapped around her wrist. She is touching the mirror in front of her.
"And the most worth it."
There is a photo framed on Heather's desk that she looks at. It is of Alejandro before he got his burn across his face and chest. It's a selfie where he is looking at her smiling as he puts bunny ears on the top of her head. She is cross-eyed and has her lips pursed out and has long hair. She is wearing a mesh pink top with the sleeves under her shoulders, under a black strapless bra. As she looks at the framed photo on her desk, her thighs and hips are shown. She is wearing only pink panties and in front of the photo frame is medical tape.
"If I could go back to fifteen-year-old me, or seventeen-year-old me, or nineteen-year-old me…"
She thinks of herself looking at three age groups of herself sitting on a bench before her - fifteen year old Heather as shown in 'Heather's Lament Part One' is looking to the right of her, looking annoyed and disappointed. Seventeen-year-old Heather, bald and bruised after Total Drama Island, is looking up at the sky and is curled in a ball. Nineteen-year-old Heather with her hair grown back enough to put it into a small ponytail is looking to the right, staring back intensely att fifteen-year-old Heather. Fifteen year old Heather looks annoyed, while nineteen year old Heather looks sad.
"I would say to her, you aren't broken."
Fifteen year old Heather sits criss-crossed, smiling at current Heather.
"It's okay to cry."
Now, Heather cradles seventeen-year-old Heather in her lap, smiling and pressing her to her face as seventeen-year-old Heather cries, this time with no visible bruising.
"I love you." Nineteen year old Heather hugs current Heather as they both cry.
"But… not everyone was as fortunate as me."
She thinks back to Duncan in Total Drama All-Stars, raging and pointing to the camera as he is in the confessional bathroom.
'Everyone thinks I've gone soft and lost my edge! I'll show them whose gone soft! I'll show them all!' He says.
"Not everyone got help, or was able to reconcile themselves when they didn't live up to the personality they had been assigned."
She thinks of Duncan in Total Drama All-Stars jumpstarting a car to steal. He says, 'Now we'll see who's not a delinquent!'. A second photo says, 'I told you I was a villain'. He is sitting on a stump talking to another person)
"Duncan, if you're out there somewhere… I really hope that you're okay."
She thinks of Duncan's elimination in All-Stars. He's being arrested in handcuffs by two police officers and is being escorted of the island to go to prison.
