Chapter 5. The Confession

It started as a peaceful normal day to where you would have thought that nothin' could go wrong.

Well, that thought was dead wrong for us.

Instead, our little adventure was about to begin starting with my usual visits to see Laney and the others. And like always I had to leave durin' dinner.

" Sans my dear friend, are you sure that you can't stay for supper?" Tori asked as I started to walk down the stairs with Lanes behind me.

" Sorry, Tor as much as I want ta' I think Paps will be upset if I don't have any room for his special pasta dinner," I responded with a small shrug.

" I understand, Laney once you're done walking Sans to the exit please wash up and join us for dinner."

" Yes mam," Lanes responded with a sweet smile towards her mother as she continues to follow me down the stairs.

As we walk towards the door I could sense nervousness coming from Lanes. Which was unusual since she is always relaxed and cheerful. So I could tell that there was somthin' goin' on in that pretty little mind of hers.

" You a'right sweet eart' ?" I asked while turning around to face her once we had reached the door.

" Of course, why do you ask?" Laney asked with a fake smile.

" Not uh, that fake smile ain't foolin' me. Lanes you're worried about somethin' I can feel the tenseness on the way down ere'."

" You can?" She asked while tilting her head.

" Yup, so spill,"

" ...Fine, it's just I have been having these nightmares of my dad finding us and kills momster then takes advantage of the three of us. I can't tell if they were visions or just a bad dream...It's why half of me wants you to stay because with you here I feel so safe and yet the other half wants you to go home so you can be safe with your brother." Lanes finishes while looking away sadly while rubbing er' left arm.

Ever since Toriel has been teaching Lanes magic she has been having visions in her sleep so many in fact it got to where she couldn't the differance between her dreams and visions.

I let out a small sigh while rubbing the back of my neck.

" Ta' be honest kiddo, if it was a vision I rather be there ta' keep you and the others safe and that ain't no Fiba...So~ I have somthin' that can help us with that." I added while holding up the ruby necklace that other Sans had given me.

Laney lets out a small gasp as her fingers gently brushes against the ruby heart causing it to glow gently.

" Sans ...it's so pretty. How did you get this?"

" It's a long story I'll explain it to you once you come to Snowdin...Anyways this necklace is special."

" Special?" she asked while locking her beautiful blue eyes with mine.

" Yeah, uh~ you see once you have this on our souls will kinda be temporary bonded."

" Bonded? Sans ...you do know what you're saying right?"

" Trust me sweet eart' I do. And this is awkward saying this to my best friend but if somthin' happens to you when I'm not around ta' protect you I will never forgive myself. With our souls temporary bonded ... I know this weird but please Lanes..you're my best friend I..I need ta' make sure that you and the others are safe when I'm not around. And when you need me or in any danger I'll be ere' before you know it cause I will be able to sense it." I finished at least it was almost the truth the lying part was me saying that Laney was only my best friend was a lie.

The truth was I wanted ta' be more than friends and maybe later in the future we'll ready to bond our souls together permanently since somethin' tells me that Lanes felt the same for me by the blush on er' cheeks and the way her eyes gleam during my visits.

Sadly though right now was not the time to confess to each other right now I had ta' make sure she and the others were safe.

Heh, maybe when they leave the ruins and come ta' Snowdin is when I will confess. Cause if Lanes does have the same feelings for me there are many things that I'm cravin' ta' do to er' that Tori would not approve of.

" Sans, did you hear me?" I heard Laney's sweet voice asked havin' me snap out of my thoughts.

" Sorry Lanes, what was that?"

" I just asked if you can help me put it on. What exactly is going through that skull of yours Sans the Skeleton?" She asked with a playful smirk.

" Heh, wouldn't you like ta' know sweet eart'," I responded with a wink while gesturing for her to turn around.

Lanes blushed softly as she turns to where her back was now facing me.

I couldn't help but let out a low chuckle as I step forward and tie the necklace around her neck.

" There we go," I said softly next to her ear as I finished tying the knot earning a small shiver from er'.

" Careful Laney, with how you're acting I might just do what exactly is on my mind and I'm tryin' ta' hold myself back until you leave the ruins for Tori's sake," I added while gently grabbing one of her pigtails before placing a sweet kiss on it earning a soft gasp from Lanes.

As she slowly turns around to face me at first I thought she was going to be disgusted but when I saw her she had a sweet smile as her beautiful eyes gleam with love and want.

And that was when I couldn't hold my feelings back any longer. In one swift motion, I pull her close to me to where my permanent grin was now close to her soft pink lips as the ruby heart begins to glow brightly.

" Laney baby you're just makin' me want you even more...I tryin' to wait but I want to make you mine now with Tori around or not. You wouldn't mind if she heard you screamin' in pleasure will ya'?" I asked huskily as I pull her into a sweet kiss closing the distance between us.

Laney melts into the kiss with her arms now wrapped around my neck as I lick her sweet lips asking for entrance once she opens her mouth my tongue begins to move with hers deepening the kiss I then slowly turn us around and gently press her against the door that was behind her earning small whimper from Lanes as her nails gently travel down the back of my skull.

I let out a pleased groan against her mouth and started to softly grind against er' showing Laney that I did indeed had what she needed with a little help from magic of course.

It was now to where we both didn't want to stop. I could tell that we both were holding back our true feelings for each other. Just to protect the strong friendship in between us. When the truth was it would of just gotten alot stronger.

And our souls wouldn't have been sufferin for so long from holdin' back.

As our little make out session continues Tori's voice came from upstairs telling Lanes to wash up since dinner was ready. I let out a low chuckle as I painfully pull away from the sweet lips that I was now addicted to. As Laney lets out a soft whimper.

" Looks like we're goin' to have ta' wait to make that bond permanent, baby girl," I added softly while I set her down gently before gently before placing a kiss on the side of her neck.

" Tomorrow I'll come ta' talk to Tori about you and the others leavin' the ruins," I said with a wink before takin' the short cut back to my station.

After I had left a now very happy Laney makes her way back upstairs to meet her family for dinner.

" Sorry, it took so long Sans and I were discussing..." She stops and freezes as her smile drops and fear starts filling her blue eyes.

In front of her stood her father who was holding a gun while standing over a pile of dust that had Toriel's clothes laying on top of it. Next to him was both Frisk and Sal who were both struggling to get free from the throny vines that were wrapped around them tightly.

" Hello, baby girl been playing house with freaks I see. Well, I hate to say it but playtime is over." Eric added with a sick smile as he points the gun at Laney and pulls the trigger having the loud sound of a gunshot filled the room.
