Chapter 12:- The Isolated Ones

The sight of Yuuya was seen walking down a street within the middle of the night as he was surrounded by supernatural creatures such as demons and ghosts that were following him by crawling on the ground, walls of homes and were flying in the air as there over thousands of them escorting him as he headed straight for Okayu's apartment. The boy had a glaring look in his eyes as they glowed slightly in white and purple.
"Not being a human isn't the only curse that I have for wielding the book of Sha Na Na Na. To be stalked by the undead, the demons and angels around me is just one of the many curses that are also part of Sha Na Na Na's law." As Yuuya thought to himself, he would reach Okayu's apartment and would knock on the door as the girl would come running towards the door as she opened the door and saw the boy looking up at the girl with a tired look on his face.
Okayu: Mogu mogu Oka-Eh?! Y-Yuuya-kun?! What happened to you?! Are you sick?!
Yuuya: I'm fine, just a little exhausted..
Okayu: E-Exhausted? Do you even get exhausted?
Yuuya: I don't but these damn things keep following me around..
Okayu: "Things"? *She looked around and saw nothing as she would then close the door and looked at Yuuya's back and saw something transparent phasing through him as it seemed to be moving but she couldn't tell what it was as she would then ignore it and prepare a drink and a few snacks for the young boy as he was sitting on the couch in the living room* Make yourself at home, alright? I'll prepare a few things for you since Rushia-chan told me that you can now eat and drink, am I right?
Yuuya: Ah yes, thank you. I really appreciate that but nothing can fill up the void within me.
Okayu: I guess there are some people who are like that but that curse must really be something if it can alter your body that much.
Yuuya: It's a messed up book after all. Though there are still a lot of things that I have not learned from the book yet.
Okayu: Oh? Like what? *She asked as she came into the living room with a tray of tea and a bowl of chips for the young boy as Yuuya obliged in having the tea*
Yuuya: Transformation and multi usage my abilities. I'm assuming that I can use the abilities and powers of other cultural beings that I have studied about.
Okayu: Eh? So you're saying that you can have powers of Olympian deities or Egyptian gods?
Yuuya: Yes, along with many more.
Okayu: That's cool! Why don't you show me one of the powers! *She asked excitedly as she sat next to him on the couch and got close as Yuuya got flustered slightly*
Yuuya: R-Right now?
Okayu: Mmhm! *She nodded excitedly*
Yuuya: Right, of course.
As the boy would then close his eyes and take a deep breath as he concentrated, the lights in the room would get dimmer as Okayu got worried but would pay close attention to Yuuya as the boy's head would then grow slightly longer as a pair of sharp-cat like ears would pop up on his head along with a pinkish-purple tail on his rear, as he opened his eyes, his eyes had also taken the form of a cat as it was sharp and was coloured in a beautiful green passion colour as he had messy hair like Okayu's. The girl skipped a heart beat as she smiled and squealed excitedly as she held him close and hugged him tightly as she patted his head.
Okayu: Kyaa! You look so cute! You look just like me but cuter!
Yuuya: I based this transformation off of Nekomusume. *He said as Okayu would let go of him as he did a cat posture with his hands* Nya~
Okayu: Not fair! That's too cute!
Yuuya: Really? Cat demons are like that.
Okayu: Always?
Yuuya: Always, they're sly and smart. Like you. *As he said Okayu's name, the girl blushed and smug at the boy as she patted his head*
Okayu: You're so sweet~ Mogu mogu~ *She said as she cuddled the boy as the lights in the apartment would then get turned off as it caught the girl by surprised* Eh? W-What happened? A blackout?
Yuuya: Seems like it. *The television would then turn on and reveal a screen that showed nothing but static and when it did, Okayu held onto the boy tightly as she got worried and the screen then turned off and revealed the sight of a well within the screen that is in the middle of an open field within a forest* Oh?
Okayu: W-What's that?
Yuuya: A well.
Okayu: A well? The things that store water in?
Yuuya: Yeah but the television shouldn't have any power now.
Okayu: S-Something is controlling it?
Yuuya: Yup. That. *He said as he pointed at the TV screen as a woman with long black hair that had covered her face was seen crawling out of the well as she had worn a single one-piece white dress as she crawled towards the two viewers and would slowly make her way out of the screen as she was groaning and shaking as she walked out and as she did, Okayu screamed loudly and panicked as she held onto Yuuya as the boy would get up and walk towards the woman as Okayu held onto him tightly still as Yuuya would place his hand on the woman's head as he forcefully pushed her back into the screen. As the boy used his left hand to push her back, the woman was forcing her way out at the same time as Okayu would slowly smile and chuckle as she watched as Yuuya would then raise his right leg and use his leg to push her back in by force* Get in!
Okayu: What are you doing?
Yuuya: Sending her back home.
Okayu: *She would then chuckle softly as she then laugh out loud as watched and let go of Yuuya* Ahahahahaha! *As Okayu was laughing, Yuuya got slightly frustrated as the woman would stare up at Yuuya with her bright red and black coloured eyes as he glared at her with his bright purple eyes as the woman panicked and turned back as she crawled back to the well and the power in the apartment would return* Oh, the power is back on.
Yuuya: About damn time too. *He said as he would then head back to the couch and sit down as Okayu sat close to him and would snuggle with the young boy as he got flustered from her embracing him. The girl would then stop hugging him as she dimmed the lights and had him lay his head on her lap as she was holding onto an ear cleaner and had a deep blush on her face along with a smile as she looked at him* Okayu?
Okayu: Don't worry, I'm good at this, I really am.
Yuuya: No, that's not it.. Come here. *He was blushing slightly as he would put both of his hands on the girl's cheeks as she blushed even more so as her eyes widened as both of their faces got close to each within that brief second and as their faces got even closer, the both of them would slowly close their eyes and the sight of them together were no longer seen as Yuuya had woken up in bed and realised that he was dreaming, He looked at himself and saw that he was wearing his pajamas, he then felt something beside of him on the bed as he would lightly lift the blanket over and noticed Okayu was asleep as the two had slept together in the same bed* What...Happened..? *He asked himself quietly as he was confused*
Within the passing hours as morning came by, Yuuya and Okayu were seen walking together in the city as the two were on a date. Yuuya had his usual cool outlook while Okayu was wearing a sort of sailor uniform that made her more cuter as the two were walking by a group of couples from Nijisanji.
Kanda: It's Nekomata and the kid.
Mirei: Oh? So that's him, huh?
Kanda: Oh yeah, you've never met him, now have you?
Mirei: Not once, I never got the chance to talk to him either.
Kanda: Then go talk to him.
Mirei: I don't want to.
Kanda: You afraid?
Mirei: Shut up.
Kanda: Wimp! Wuss! Woman!
Mirei: I am a woman!
Back with Okayu and Yuuya, the girl would tease the boy as she grab hold of his arm and held him closely as she walked beside him as the two went to get juice together and as they did, Yuuya got Honeydew flavoured juice while Okayu had tomato juice and the two would share their drinks together. From a distance, Aqua along with Rushia were together as they were both staring at both Okayu and Yuuya as the two were stalking them and were angrily staring at them from afar. As the two were sharing their drinks, Yuuya was enjoying Okayu's tomato juice while the girl was staring at the straw of the drink that she held as she was blushing slightly as she had thought that the two of them had an indirect kiss.
Yuuya: Okayu?
Okayu: Hmm? Y-Yeah?
Yuuya: Something wrong?
Okayu: N-No, I'm fine..
Yuuya would then turn around as he looked up and saw a tall girl looking down at the boy and another girl was beside her as it was Botan and Lamy as the two were together.
Botan: Out on a date?
Okayu: Yes we are~
Lamy: Ah, that's nice.
Botan: Oh? *She would then stare at the boy as he stared up at her as well* Why do you keep looking at me?
Yuuya: You're very different from the others.
Botan: Huh? What do you mean by that?
Yuuya: For a Lion, you're just much different than in looks.
Botan: Is that a bad thing?
Yuuya: No, it's a good thing. You're uniquely cute. *As he said and exchanged drinks with Okayu, the lioness would blush and the elf behind her would chuckle softly as Botan looked away from Yuuya* Oh right, I'm supposed to meet up with Ayame along with Fubuki later.
Okayu: What for?
Yuuya: We're going to have a sparring match, two on one.
Okayu: Isn't that dangerous? You might get hurt.
Yuuya: Don't worry. I'll go easy on them. *He said with a smug on his face as moments passed as Yuuya, Okayu, Lamy and Botan would head to the training arena that had been built recently by Miko and Pekora with the help of the Steeves as Yuuya entered the arena while the others were on the viewing seats that were above while Fubuki and Ayame were waiting in the arena*
Fubuki: Yuuya-kun! You're late!
Yuuya: By 5 seconds.
Ayame: It's not good to be late.
Yuuya: Sorry, I'll make sure that won't happen again. *As he said, he clapped his hands together loudly as it made a loud noise that echoed throughout the entire arena as more people would come in and watch as the entire arena would then slowly be covered in fog as everyone in the arena would get confused as Fubuki would stand by her swords as Ayame did as well* Thanks to Okayu, I was able to recall something that I had yet to fully utilize.
Ayame: A-And what might that be? *Her back was on Fubuki's back as the two were circling around as they were unable to see through the thick fog*
Yuuya: Having the powers of Youkai. *As he said, his eyes glowed bright purple for a brief second as a large dark figure could be seen in front of Ayame within the fog as she would pull out her blade and made a powerful slash-like blast at it as it exploded and clear the entire arena of the fog and as she did, both Ayame and Fubuki gasped at the sight of a large yellow-furred nine-tailed fox as it was none other than Kyuubimon from the Digimon universe and noticed that the boy was sitting on top of the Digimon's back*
Fubuki: K-Kyuubimon!
Ayame: A fox of all things! Hyah! *She yelled as she made another slash cut at the demon but it would jump up into the air and launch multiple shots of blue flames from its tail towards the girls as the flames exploded upon hitting the ground* Ah!
Fubuki: N-Not fair!
Yuuya: Two against one isn't fair either. *He said as he would jump up from Kyuubimon's back as his body glowed and shined brightly as it transformed into a bright coloured leviathan known as Mizutsune as it landed right behind Ayame and Fubuki as the large leviathan stared down at the two girls*
Fubuki: A-A dragon!
Ayame: I-Isn't this thing from Monster Hunter?
Fubuki: Whatever it is, it's pretty but scary! *The two girls would jump away as the leviathan fired a gush of water from its mouth as it would charge towards Fubuki while Kyuubimon would face against Ayame* Ahh! Why are you chasing me?! *She was panicking as she ran away from Mizutsune while Ayame and Kyuubimon were fighting head on as Ayame had drawn out her swords and were reflecting the flames that were fired off of Kyuubimon's tails. The Digimon would then jump up into the air as its body glowed and transformed into a massive white and black mechanical nine tailed fox known as "Ninetail-Dark".
Ayame: It evolved?!
Up on the viewing seats, Okayu noticed the massive change from Kyuubimon and realised that it wasn't an evolution chain as it had become a completely different creature. The crowd was amazed at the sight of the sudden transformation as they all cheered and clapped their hands together at the sight as Ninetail-Dark would aim the cannon on its body at the crowd and fired a single shot at the crowd as Mizutsune would jump towards the attack and take the hit as it created a large explosion as everyone would then gasp at the sight.
Okayu: Yuuya-kun!
Rushia: Yuu-kun!
The leviathan landed on its feet and were unscathed from the attack as it glared at the machine beast in front of it as the two massive creatures would circle around the arena as they glared at each other as Ayame and Fubuki were in between the two.
Fubuki: A-Ayame-chan, what do you think we should do?
Ayame: I don't know but I don't like the idea of fighting them if one of them seems like they're out to kill us..
Fubuki: I agree.
Mizutsune would roar at the machine beast as it charged towards it as its body glowed and it would jump up into the air and transform its body back to Yuuya's original form as he had cat-like ears on his head and a feline-like tail on his rear and beast-like gauntlet claws on his hands as he would jump towards Ninetail-Dark and punch the massive machine in the face as he jumped back towards Ayame and Fubuki as his eyes glowed bright ruby red and his hair was emitting heat as he was copying the abilities of Yang Xiao Long from the RWBY universe.
Yuuya: That beast is no longer Kyuubimon, it's something else.
Fubuki: Eh?
Ayame: So it's a bad guy?
Yuuya: It's a Machine Beast, it's part of Shan's swarm of machines, this must be one of the survivors. *As he said, he pulled out the book from his back as the book opened up and the wind would blow strongly as Ayame and Fubuki stood in front of Yuuya as the boy began chanting as his eyes glowed and glared at the machine beast as it roared at the three and charged towards them and as it did, the song "This Game" could be heard being sung from a distance as Yuuya fired a gush of flames at the beast but it was unaffected by it as Fubuki and Ayame ran towards it and faced the beast head on while Yuuya backed away as his eyes glowed and he would stare at the beast and examine it* What's its colour weakness?
"These spinning gears show no sign of stopping,

The boy's eyes glowed purple as he would then teleport behind Ninetail-Dark and close his book and as he did, the beast would fall to the ground as the entire machine body would cease to move as its soul was taken away. The crowd then cheered loudly and screamed as they all cheered for Yuuya along with Fubuki and Ayame for defeating the survivor of the Machine Beasts. Off at a distance, the sight of a girl with long pink hair and horns was seen as she was holding onto a microphone that had devil-like wings on it as she smiled at the sight of the machine beast destroyed as her eyes glowed bright green and she would vanish in thin air and when she did, Yuuya turned to the direction of the girl's disappearance as he wondered who it was.
Yuuya: Was it my imagination?
