Hello,
All are welcome here so just sit back and relax, maybe have a nice read here or there.
I'll keep things short so here's the 8th chapter of I Just Want to Relax.
So without any further delay,
Let's jump right in!
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto nor Majikoi
…
-Start-
…
"We will now start preparing for the third round of the Kawakami Campaign, 'Intelligence.' Will the members of the Sports Festival Committee please come to the grounds? Additionally, to ensure fairness, all students from 2-F and 2-S must not approach the grounds until preparations are complete."
Naruto blinked as the speakers came to life. In front of him sat a half-emptied bowl of miso ramen, to the side a stack of empty bowls.
To his left sat a joyful Momoyo, simply happy that he hadn't tried to flee from her yet. She made a note to herself that Naruto seemed to love ramen.
As they continued to eat up in the stand, down below, the rest of the Kazama family mulled over the announcement. Well, a few of them did as the rest ate to their hearts' content.
Miyako watched as the Sports Festival Committee members left for the grounds, a curious look in her eyes. "An intelligence contest…" she pondered, "I wonder what it'll be?"
Beside her, Yamato rubbed his chin in thought, staying silent on the matter. So they're still preparing...
He shook his head and gave his friends a small smile, walking away from them. "Okay, I'm gonna head out for a second," he said, giving them a small wave in which they returned. As he made his way around the beach, finding several other student members, he made sure to stop and talk with them. He stayed no longer than for a few moments, always leaving with a confident smile on his face.
From a safe distance away, Aoi Touma watched on with an interested grin on his face. Well, well, what do we have here…
As half an hour passed by, the speakers once more came to life announcing the next challenge. "The preparations are complete. Will all competitors and observers please come to the grounds?"
Kazuko perked up with smile on her face. "Huh?"
Capt grinned while making a mad dash for the grounds. "Alright, let's go see!" he said before coming to a stop. "Hey…"
Kazuko caught up to him and together they stared at a giant pile of sand.
"A sand dune?" they exclaimed in unison.
"What the heck is this? It's huge…" wondered Capt.
Kazuko leaned forward, inspecting the top of the sand dune. "There's a pillar stuck in there too…"
A chuckle caught them off guard as Tesshin walked up to them. "This is a game that took me 20 years to create," he said, getting a "Gramps!" in response. He stroked his beard as looked upon his creation in joy. "It's a profound game that tests both courage and intelligence. It's name is…"
There was a pause for dramatic effect as his face turned serious. "THE KAWAKAMI SANDCASTLE DESTRUCTION!" he exclaimed, causing the two friends to take a step back.
"Ka-Kawakami sandcastle destruction?" asked Kazuko, her face bewildered.
Tesshin nodded, proud of its title. Pointing a thumb at the sand dune, he explained it for them. "It's a brand new challenge where you take turns hitting the sand dune and whoever makes the pillar fall is the loser. Quite ingenious isn't it?"
While he was explaining, the rest of the students had arrived just in time to hear his explanation, their faces holding disbelief.
Capt gave the old man an incredulous look. "It's got a pretty extravagant name," he started, his eyebrow twitching, "but isn't it just some playground game?"
Miyako nodded from her spot. "It's just Boutaoshi," she said, holding up one finger.
Gakuto sighed. "This isn't the result of 20 years of work, is it, gramps…"
Tesshin took a step back in pain, a hand clutching his chest as if their words wounded him, cutting deep like no other. "IT'S NOT JUST ANY OLD BOUTAOSHI GAME!"
No one seemed to believe him, looks of doubt plastered onto their faces. As he slumped over, his adopted granddaughter came over to pat him on the back, trying to sooth his woes.
"There there," said Wanko as she rubbed his back in a soothing pattern, "They're just making fun of it…"
Tesshin sighed, his good mood destroyed. "Well then…I guess I'll explain the rules." He took a moment to readjust the grip on his cane, his tone returning to normal. "First, the players themselves cannot touch the sand dune. Representatives from each club will attack the dune instead."
Yamato and Touma shared a brief glance at that.
"Each player gets five randomly-selected club representatives. This will be their 'hand.' Each member of your hand has 'power' and 'precision' statistics, and can attack anywhere on the sand dune from one-to-three times." Tesshin paused to pull out a card from his sleeve, showing it off as an example. "For example, here is the data of Dosukoi Jigorou from the Sumo Club, who made this sand dune for us."
His stats read as such-
Sumo Club: 3rd year: Dosukoi.
Power: 80
Precision: 50
Gigolo Power: 70
Tesshin nodded as he held the crowd captive, once more feeling proud of himself. "By calculating your hand's power and the number of attacks, you can wear down the dune to make your opponent knock the pillar over. If your hand runs out before the game ends, then you will enter into a sudden death round with one club rep."
Naruto leaned forward, resting his head in the palm of his hand as listened intently, his mind moving a thousand miles per minute. This sounds really interesting. Depending on what hand you get, this game could entirely come down to how lucky you get. Talk about a game of strategy and chance…
Touma gently smiled. "I see. This sounds pretty fun."
Yamato nodded, agreeing with his words. "It definitely requires a lot of strategy."
This seemed to warm Tesshin's heart as he eagerly nodded. "Right!? Right!?" he said before calming down, coughing as he passed out the cards to both boys. "Here are your hands. Plan accordingly."
Naoe Yamato's hand was as such-
Soccer Club: 2nd year: Jitou
Power: 80
Precision: 40
BMI: 15
Chinese Martial Arts Club: 3rd year: Retsu

Power: 5
Precision: 90
Spells: 100
Koppou Club: 2nd year: Andy
Power: 60

As Yamato started to plan out his approach, Touma glanced down at his own cards.
Aoi Touma's hand was as such-

The cards were not held hidden and in fact were announced so each audience member knew what was going on.
Miyako seemed surprised. "Mayucchi was picked!"
"Aren't her stats a little weird?" said Kazuko, scratching the side of her head.
Moro sighed. "It seems like she still doesn't have any friends besides us…"
The speaker came to life once more, announcing the start of the 3rd challenge. "We are now ready for the third challenge of the Kawakami Campaign, the Kawakami Sandcastle Destruction! Begin!"
As the two strategist shook hands, Naruto rubbed tiredly at his face. What a stupid name…
It seemed Momoyo also agreed with his thoughts as she pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed before perking up as Tesshin sat down beside her. She picked up mic as she placed her own bowl of ramen down. "Again, lunchtime commentary will be provided by me, Kawakami Momoyo, and—"
She was cut off as her grandfather took over. "And me, Tesshin," said the old man as he flashed a peace sign.
Momoyo once more took over, a bright smile on her face. "As a result of the coin toss, Aoi Touma will go first!" She paused as the crowd — mainly the female section — erupted into cheering. "There is high-pitched cheering everywhere!"
Touma gave the crowd a slight wave. "I'll try my best," he said before facing the sand dune. Cupping his chin in thought, he hummed. "Hmm, common sense tells me to use my strong members first, and save the weaker ones for more detailed tasks."
Finding his course of actions, he set upon implementing it. "Rugby club," he announced, holding up three fingers, "three attacks!"
The rugby club member charged forward at the edges of the sand dune, using his tackle attack to blast sand away. He repeated this until he was out of moves.
"Wow! Such power! That killer tackle has blown away lots of sand!"
Naruto ignored how the crowd once more blew up with praise for Touma. Instead, he observed the sand dune with a critical gaze. Not a bad opening. Still, this is only just the beginning.
"Next up is Class F's turn!"
Yamato rubbed the back of his neck. "Let's play it safe. Andy-kun from the Koppou Club, three attacks!"
Andy charged forward, jabbing with his elbow at the sand dune, all the while shouting, "Zaneken!"
Momoyo seemed a bit put off by the performance. "Hmm, only so-so! His attack has a cool name, but it's only slightly effective! It's pretty boring to watch…"
Touma smiled, his next course of action already planned for. "Baseball club, three attacks!"
The baseball club member stepped forward and swung his bat three times, sending sand flying with each hit.
Naruto narrowed his eyes in thought as Momoyo leaned back in her seat. "It's only just the second turn," she started, "yet the sand dune is getting blown away!"
Tesshin nodded, stroking his beard as he hummed. "Despite his appearance, Aoi Touma is a bold one…"
Yamato was silent as he watched his rival take the advantage. After a moment of speculation, he took action. "Chinese Martial Arts Club, three attacks!"
Retsu of the Martial Arts Club stepped forward, and with quick and precise blows, he evened out the playing field.
"Well," started Momoyo, "It seems like Yamato is getting rid of his strong cards as well! Some splendid one-inch punches from Retsu-kun of the chinese martial arts club!"
Touma took a moment to observe the sand dune, looking for any weak points he could exploit. Finding one, he turned to the Archery Club member with a smile. "Yaba-Senpai," he started, "I have a small request for you.
She turned to glance at him, a slight blush on her face. "Wha- What is it?"
Touma leaned forward, entering her personal space as her blush intensified. "Well, it's about what I want you to aim for…"
After he explained his plan, he stepped back to let her do the work, Momoyo already announcing his play.
"For their third turn, Class S uses the captain of the Archery Club, Yaba Yumiko!"
Touma smirked. "Archery club, two attacks!"
Yaba, with extreme precision she hit at the base of the pillar twice, greatly weakening its support.
As the crowd once more blew up, Momoyo had a self imposed job to do. "Excellent accuracy! Both of her arrows hit the base of the pillar! They make the best out of their projectiles by attacking the summit of the dune! Great job, Yuumin!"
Tesshin hummed in excitement. "Hmm, since the pillar got hit, it'll now be easier to tip it over."
Touma clapped his hands with a happy expression. "It's exactly as I asked. Thank you very much Yumiko-san.
Yaba Yumiko calmly nodded. "At this level, it was simple," she said, but on the inside, she was freaking out. Yay! I got complimented by Touma-kun! I looked so good in front of him! He's just my type!
Yamato bite his thumb in frustration. All he has left now are his two weakest members. Mayucchi from the Go-Home Club and Chiyano-san from the Tea Club. I see… So he's trying to create a dangerous situation and then go for the sudden death.
He glanced out of the corner of his eye, on the lookout for Touma. When the boy noticed him looking, the 2-S student gave him a small smile and a wave. Yamato clicked his tongue in annoyance. Damn, he's getting ahead of himself… Alright!
Finding his resolve, he set about the start of his plan. "Kotodama Club, one attack!"
Naruto raised an eyebrow at that. That's a bold move cotton.
"Class F's Yamato decides to use his weakest card!"
Miyako snapped her fingers as she figured out Yamato's plan. "So he's trying to test the limits of the leaning pillar! It's becoming a match now…"
Kazuko gave her a worried look. "But if he uses this now, will he be okay later on?"
There was no answer as the Kotodama member attacked. All he did was scoop of small pile of sand and walk away with it, indicating that his attack was over.
Momoyo leaned forward, her eyes gleaming with mischievous intent. "Wow! Damn, he's weak! Kotodama Club's Kyougoku is completely inept at any sort of physical labor! The sand dune isn't fazed at all!"
Jun leaned against a fence post as Koyuki stood next him. Quickly finding his friends, Touma walked up to them. "Well, this is pretty unexpected…" Jun said to Touma, "I thought he'd save his weaker guys as insurance for later."
Touma rubbed the back of his head, wondering what Yamato was up to. "Yeah, I thought so as well…" he said, quickly looking of to his opponents two remaining cards. "Yamato-kun still has two powerful members from the Soccer Club and Girl's Tennis Club. I don't know if he has a plan, but let's play it safe for now… If we enter the sudden death round, my weaker hand will be at an advantage."
He turned to give orders, a smile on his face. "Mayuzumi-san from the Go-Home Club, one attack please."
Yukie jumped before nodding her head, a stutter in her voice. "Ye-Ye-Ye-Ye-Yes!"
As Yukie slowly walked forward, Momoyo was more than happy enough to provide commentary. "Wow, a safe pick! The Go-Home Club's Mayuzumi, with only a power of 50 gets one attack!"
Matsukaze, forever Yukie's companion, whispered to her. "This is great, Mayucchi! You're in the spotlight! Everyone's watching! Hey, maybe if you stand out, you'll make some new friends!"
Yukie paused as the thought hit her, seductive and so tempting. She spun to talk to Matsukaze, ignoring how the crowd of people behind her sweatdropped at the sight of herself talking to, well, herself.
"Tha-Tha-Tha-That's right!" declared Yukie, "This is a huge chance, Matsukaze!"
Matsukaze agreed, giving her words of encouragement. "Let's go Mayucchi! Cut through everyone's hearts! Burn bright like the summer sun!"
Yukie nodded her head, finding her resolve. "Yes!" Turning to face the sand dune, she tightly gripped the handle of her sword. "Here I go!"
Unknown to everyone but the strong, her power level raised.
Her new stats, unknown as they may be, were as such-
Power: 150
Precision: 150
Friends: 9
Much to the dismay of her friends in class 2-F, and to the amusement of Naruto, she dashed forward with a strong slash attack. It hit the sand dune with ferocity, cleaving it in half, leaving the pillar in a dangerous state of balance.
"WHAAAAAT!" called out her friends in 2-F, stunned expressions of Capts, Moro's, and Kazuko's faces.
Touma lightly scratched his cheek in surprise. "Well, well…"
"This…" started a surprised Momoyo, her face transforming from shock into joy. "This is unexpected! Even though her power stats were average, the Go-Home Clubs Mayuzumi Yukie unleashed a powerful slash! The pillar is now in a very dangerous state! What will Class F's Naoe Yamato do now?"
As she sat back down with a cheerful grin, she turned to chat with Naruto, her eyes widening in surprise as she came face to face with a complete sand replica of Naruto.
Tesshin chuckled. "He left around the same time Mayuzumi-san made her attack."
Momoyo looked down into the crowd and found Naruto congratulating Mayucchi for such a splendid attack, a blush on the poor girl's face.
Momoyo shook her head as she smirked. "You can run, you can hide, but you won't ever escape me Naruto-kun."
Chris inspected the sand dune, an impressed look on her face. "I'm shocked! Mayucchi is really good."
Miyako sighed, a somewhat annoyed expression on her face. "I guess so…" she started, "But I wish she would read the situation a bit more…"
Moro agreed with her, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah… She just put us in a pretty tight spot now…"
Kazuko was more eager to fight. "Mayuuchi! Let's have a match later!"
As Yukie turned away from Naruto to glance at her friends, Matsukaze made a keen observation. "Hey hey, isn't the Kazama Family glaring at you harshly right now?"
Indeed, Yamato, Gakuto, Miyako, and Moro were glaring at her, trying to convey a message.
Yukie seemed stunned, a bead of sweat dripping down her forehead. "Wait… What? Did I just do something wrong!?"
Naruto laughed and started to walk away. Don't ever change, Yukie-tan… Now, where can I find a nice spot to nap…
"All class F has left are the strong reps from the Soccer and Girl's Tennis Clubs! Could they be done for!?"
Touma closed one eye in thought as he glanced at his most surprising play yet. Well, Mayuzumi-san's attack was certainly outside of my expectations, but it produced some interesting results… I wonder how you'll respond, Yamato-kun…
Yamato rubbed the back of his head as he viewed the sand dune. "I guess any sort of attack will fail now. Huh…" He stopped to peek at his cellphone.
On the sideline, class 2-F was going through turmoil.
Yonpachi was holding his head in distress. "Fuck! We're totally screwed!"
Gakuto wasn't that much better, hints of worry creeping into his voice. "If their respective powers are over 50, we're done for!"
Yamato turned to give his friends a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about it," he said flipping open his phone. Using his thumb, he sent a single text out. "I won't lose, after all, it's 'impossible."
Unknown to him, Touma also smiled as he pulled out his own phone. Two people can play at this game, Yamato-kun…
...
…
"You rigged it?"
"Shhhh!" said Yamato as he tried to quiet down Moro, "Not so loud."
Looking left and then right, he explained his plan. "During the preparations, I figured out what the challenge would be from my contacts and intelligence network." Moro gave his friend an impressed look as Yamato kept on talking. "So, I figured out who the possible Club Representatives would be, and I paid them off. On my signal, they'll attack but miss the sand dune. Basically, the remaining two are working for me now."
Moro scratched his chin. "Wow…" he said, "That's pretty shady of you. Chris definitely can't know that you did this."
Yamato nodded, already knowing how the blonde foreign girl was. "I would've liked to win this fair and square," he said, shrugging his shoulders, "it's just an emergency plan."
Naruto, the third member of their group, gave an approving nod. "It's not a bad plan, but you're forgetting something."
Yamato and Moro gave him questioning looks. "What do you mean?"
Naruto glanced over at Class 2-S, an interested look in his eyes. "If someone like you was able to plan this far ahead, what makes you think someone like Touma hasn't also planned for this?"
It seemed the thought hadn't crossed their minds as Moro cast a worried look at Yamato. The tactician of their group seemed conflicted. In the end, it didn't matter because he had to return to the game at hand.
"Jitou-kun from the Soccer Club," called Yamato, surprising his classmates, "One attack please."
"WHAT!" cried out the members of Class 2-F. "Why did he pick the huge one? Yamato, what are you thinking!?"
Momoyo smirked at the daring move. "Has Yamato left it all up to luck?" she asked no one in particular.
Tesshin cracked open an eye to witness the event. "He's chosen the one with poor accuracy," commented the headmaster of Kawakami, "He must be hoping for a miss."
Yamato must have found his resolve as walked up to the Soccer Club member. "Jitou-kun," he started, "I'll leave it to you."
The burly soccer player nodded, a smirk on his face. "Understood."
And so everyone watched as the soccer player ran forward, his leg cocked back for a forward kick.
Yamato watched with baited breath, expecting him to miss on purpose because of the deal they made.
Touma watched with a smile, waiting for the big reveal.
It came as a shock to many, and not so surprising to a few, when the Soccer player's kick connected with the sand dune. He carved away a huge chuck of sand right underneath the pillar, causing it to fall over.
"WHAT!?" cried out Yamato.
"Splendid! As expected, what destructive power!" cried out Momoyo, "And also the pillar has finally fallen. Class S is the winner!"
Yamato took a step back as the crowd erupted into two types- that of cheering and that of wailing. Wha… What just happened? I had paid off Jitou-kun…
He watched as Naruto was proven true, Touma giving Jitou a pat on the back. The Class 2-S student walked towards Yamato with an easy going smile. "Thank you for the battle, Yamato-kun," he started, making small talk. "You know, I was pretty surprised."
The 2-S student stepped into the other boys personal space as he placed a hand on Yamato's shoulder. "That you had tried to rig the challenge before me. Because of you, the bribes cost more than I originally thought."
Yamato stared at Touma, not sure of how he should react. Naruto was right, Touma anticipated his moves. He shook his head and placed his hands on his hips. "I see," he said, "So you're not just another honor student."
Touma closed his eyes as he smiled. "Fufu," he chuckled, "it seems like we're pretty similar, you and I."
Yamato sighed as he rubbed his neck. "Oh well…" he said before shaking hands with Touma. "It seems I've lost this time. I look forward to a rematch."
Touma shook his hand. "Yes, I'll be looking forward to it."
As Yamato turned around, he was heckled by his classmates.
"It's not like you won, so stop trying to act cool!" Chika glared, crossing her arms.
Yonpachi was a simple man, so his reply was simple in nature. "Die!"
Gakuto held his hands up in frustration. "The hell are you doing!?"
Yamato took a step back in fright. "Whoa! My own class is turning on me!"
Hideo laughed. "Burn this sight of my glory into your minds commoners!" He exclaimed, his muscles rippling throughout his body as he flexed within his golden trunks. "I, Kuki Hideo of class 2-S, formally request Namikaze Naruto!"
Naruto shrugged his shoulders and made his way back over to 2-S, giving Koyuki a small smile as he waved to her. "Look's like I'm back again."
Koyuki smiled right back at him. "Welcome back!"
Momoyo snapped her arm forward before pulling it to the side, exaggerating her motions. "And Class S again chooses Naruto! He returns to Class S once more!"
As he was once more pushed into a seat, being pampered by his new classmates, Naruto watched as Momoyo made her way over to Yamato and had a small talk with him. I wonder what that's all about…
As Momoyo was preoccupied, it was Tesshin who took over announcing the next event. "The theme for the fourth round will be 'speed!' The challenge will be the 'Floating Bridge Challenge!" He paused to motion to the sea, the course already having been set up in a flash. "Using floating stepping stones, you must race across to the goal! Of course, if you fall into the ocean, you are disqualified!"
While 2-S debated on who would step forward, there was no debate in 2-F. Capt stepped forward with a wild grin on his face as he volunteered. "Alright! Leave this one to me!" he declared, pointing to himself. "We can't leave Naruto in the hands of class 2-S, so I'm going all out!"
Kazuko shot him a look, inspired by her leader's confidence. "Capt!"
Miyako raised her hand, a neutral look on her face. "No objections here."
Moro held up one finger as he smiled. "You're the fastest in class F after all."
Mayo, the class rep for 2-F, gave him a thumbs up. "Good luck!"
Capt thumped his chest as he laughed. "Don't worry, I got this!"
Miyako turned to face Class 2-S. "So, who from class 2-S…"
The class 2-S representative was lean with a toned body. "I'm Saito, from the track team," he proclaimed to Capt.
Yet Capt wasn't paying attention at all. When he realized somebody was talking to him, he adorned a sheepish smile. "Sorry, who are you again?"
Saito crossed his arms as he sneered at Capt. "Humph, don't treat me like a child."
Whatever Capt was about to say was soon forgotten as someone interrupted him.
"Don't forget about us!"
Everyone turned as three more boys approached.
"I'm Toyoda from Class 2-D!"
"I'm Ogino from Class 2- E!"
"I'm Noguchi From Class 2-A!"
Everyone blanched, sweat dripping down the back of their heads as they watched these three newcomers interact. So far the competition had just been between classes 2-F and 2-2, so it was bit odd now that other classes were getting involved. Where are these people coming from?
Toyoda nodded to himself, his smile motivating no one but himself. "I'm enjoying the Kawakami Campaign, but it'd be troubling if we forgot that this is also the aquatic sports festival."
Ogino crossed his arms. "We are also your opponents."
"We're going to embarrass class F as well." said Noguchi, giving them a thumbs up.
Miyako looked away. "Why is this starting to feel like a throw away game…?"
As the five men lined up at the start, Naruto watched with a slightly bored look. Everyone beside Capt looks weak… This is going to be a shutout…
With a bang, the five were off. There was no competition - Capt overtook his opponents with ease, dashing from one platform to another with a dazzling smile. "Chyeaah! I'm number one!" shouted Capt as he crossed the finish line.
"Class F is the winner!"
Naruto sighed as Class 2-F erupted into cheers. I knew this was going to happen…
Kazuko clenched her hands into fists as a smile broke out onto her face. "Wow, Capt did awesomely!"
Gakuto wiped his nose with his thumb. "Thanks a lot, leader!"
Miyako in her shock and awe, broke the fourth wall. "Wow," she started, "We won in like two sentences."
Meanwhile, Class 2-S was beating up on their own representative for the challenge. In realization of his failure, he bowed low to them, grovelling in the dirt.
Kokoro kicked him in the side with the tip of her shoe. "How dare you act all confident at the start!"
"You're useless~!" said Koyuki, attacking not with her fists but instead with her words alone.
Jun threw his hands up in the air as he glared down at the man. "Who are you, anyways?"
Yamato watched the abuse as he rubbed the back of his head. "They're pretty harsh on their own guys too…"
And so, once more, Naruto was forced to switch sides. He gave a Capt a smile and a wave as he approached. "Thanks for the rescue."
Capt shot him a thumbs up, returning Naruto's smile with his own. "No worries! I just avenged my fallen comrade, that's all!"
It was all tied up. Class 2-F had 2 victories and Class 2-S also had 2 victories.
Momoyo stood up and grabbed her mic, throwing her arm out and to the side. "Now then, all that's left is one more challenge! Who will victory smile upon!?"
Tesshin took over as he too stood up. "The final battle has already been decided!" he declared, "the theme is 'spirit'! I've spent 50 years creating this specific challenge!"
"Again?" cried Yamato.
Minamoto Tadakatsu, also known by his nickname as Gen-san, sighed. "It took him 30 more years than the Boutaoshi."
Miyako's eyes narrowed, a horrible thought striking her. "I've got a bad feeling about this," she said, her gaze darting left and right.
Tesshin continued onwards, ignoring all the haters. "Its name is…" he said, pausing for dramatic effect, trying to hype up the last challenge. Naruto's eyes drooped in boredom, suspecting that it was named something stupid by his standards.
"THE MANLINESS HERO CHALLENGE!" he bellowed.
The only one to really react was Kazuko, his lovely adopted granddaughter. "The manliness hero challenge?" echoed Kazuko, jumping up and down in excitement.
Tesshin nodded, his face set in stone. "A necessity of manliness is an unwavering spirit! This challenge will test that spirit!"
"Wow," started Chris, an impressed look on her face, "It's perfect for Kawakami Academy! How does it work!?"
Cracking open one eye so people could see just a hint of red that he kept hidden so well, Tesshin chuckled. "Kukuku," he said, "Here are the rules." He paused to hold up one finger. "First, each class will select a male representative. He will then be presented to the girls of the opposing class. And then…"
A blush appeared on his face as steam came out of his nose, "They will seduce him by any means necessary! And the male must endure it all! If his manhood reacts, he shall lose!"
Immediately, Tesshin calmed down, his look returning to normal as he shrugged. "If he's slower to react, then he gets more points."
Everyone was silent in disbelief.
Yamato felt a sweat drop roll down the back of his head. This geezer is absolutely hopeless…
Gen-san scowled. "It took him half a century to come up with this challenge. How stupid..."
Respectively, class 2-S and class 2-F broke out into separate huddles.
Yonpachi was one of the few who seemed excited by the challenge. "Hey guys," he called out, giving them a thumbs up, "This is the ultimate challenge!"
Tesshin turned to the example they had set up beforehand. The teacher of class 2-S, Usami Kyojin, was tied up to a cross while the teacher of class 2-F, Kojima Umeko, stood before him in her swimsuit. "Once your manhood reacts, a switch will go off and shock your whole body with electricity."
Kyojin, from his tied up position, leered down at the love of his life. "Kojima-sensei, your swimsuit is-" he was cut of a violent shock rippled throughout his entire being, leaving his body steaming and still. Shallow breathes confirmed his survival.
Tesshin nodded, gesturing with one hand towards the scene. "For example."
The students of Kawakami Academy were appalled by such torture. "THAT'S DANGEROUS!"
Tesshin ignored them as he cast his arm forward, showing just where Momoyo inherited her personality from. "Now then! Select your representative!"
Moro was the first one to suggest a representative. "Shouldn't it be Capt?" he asked, "he may have awoken his manliness, but I don't think he knows what to do in this situation?"
Chika hummed, crossing her arms as she glanced over at Tadakatsu. "Minamoto's pretty tough too, shouldn't he do it?"
Mayo leaned forward, squinting her eyes as she glanced between the two boys. "How about it, Kazama-chan and Minamoto-chan?"
Capt took a step back and threw his hand out sideways, his look holding nothing but defiance. "Hell no! I don't think I could survive being surrounded by a bunch of random girls."
Gen-san sighed and rubbed the back of his head. "I agree. I'd die first before having to suffer through that."
Chika shrugged and looked at the other males in their class. "On the other hand," she started, staring at Gakuto, Yonpachi, and Moro, "You guys would lose instantly."
The three boys held up their hands in defeat. "No objections there."'
Chika turned to face Yamato. "How about you, Naocchi?"
Yamato pointed to himself. "Me?"
Seeing them nod, he thought about it. "I'm pretty sure I'll win, but there's a more obvious choice."
Everyone blinked, confused by his words. "Who?" they asked.
Yamato nodded in the direction and pointed at Naruto who was resting in the shade of an umbrella. "Naruto. For the past couple of months, he's been resisting Nee-san's seduction attempts. If there is anyone I believe who could withstand this type of torture, it would be him."
Mayo clapped her hands, "Alright! Then it's been decided."
Naruto looked up as he was crowded by his classmates, all with grins plastered on their faces. "What?" he asked, "Is there something on my face?"
He was hoisted upwards and pushed forward. In no time at all, he was tied up to a cross, sitting in front of the females of Class 2-S. He sighed. How do I always end up in these situations…
Momoyo seemed to delight in the fact that Naruto was chosen as the representative. "It seems class F has selected Naruto! What a complete and utter surprise!"
Meanwhile, with Class 2-S, they were also having a discussion about who should participate.
Touma was the first step forward, a smile on his face. "If you'll just let me say this upfront," he started, closing his eyes, "As soon as I'm surrounded by those girls I'll be shocked instantly."
Jun, the forever baldy of 2-S, shot his friend an annoyed look. "At first glance you're pretty elegant, but you're saying your manhood isn't…"
Koyuki just smiled and laughed. "That's Touma-kun for you."
Kokoro snapped her fingers as a thought came to her. "Hey, how about Kuki Hideo?" she asked, pointing to the hero of 2-S.
He roared with laughter, delighted in the suggestion. "Fuhahaha! Of course, I am undeniably a manly Hero!" he declared, once again striking a pose.
His maid Azumi clapped, hearts in her eyes. "That's right Hideo-sama!"
Hideo turned with a smile, facing away from his classmates. "However, I must refuse! For me, crucifixion would be the ultimate disgrace!"
Once more, his maid Azumi clapped, hearts still in her eyes. "That's right Hideo-sama!"
Jun stepped forward. "Then, how about I do it?"
His classmates gave him surprised looks. "Inoue!?"
Jun gave a gentle as he closed his eyes. "I also want to redeem myself from the swimsuit competition. Don't worry, I am immune to the wiles of most girls."
While Koyuki clapped, Kokoro was having none of it. "You idiot!" she said, "your Lolita Complex will still be the death of you!"
Jun shook his head, "Nope, I have a secret plan for that."
Jun's determination placated Kokoro. "A plan?"
Jun opened his eyes, a look of steel in them. "That's right, so just leave it to me!"
He stepped forward and was soon placed into a position similar to that of Naruto's, a confident grin on his face.
Tesshin stepped forward. "It looks like both classes are ready. Then the Manliness Hero Challenge begins now!"
Jun sneered down at class 2-F. "So, bring it on, guys. Whatever you do, I won't lose."
Yonpachi sneered right back at him while giving him a thumbs down. "Shut up baldy. We already know your weakness. Just die." With that said, Yonpachi turned to face Mayo. "Here class chairman, have some candy. Could you please keep licking it."
As Mayo accepted the stick of candy, Jun gulped. Damn him… Such a fearsome tactic! If I see that, then I'll definitely lose…
Mayo held the stick of candy, confused by this turn of events. "Hmmm? I don't know what's going on, but I'll do it." she said before provocatively licking the candy much like one would…
Let's leave it at that.
As the seconds ticked on by, the confident grins of class 2-F was replaced by confused looks as nothing happened to Jun.
Chika rounded on Yonpachi, pointing to Jun. "You monkey! Why hasn't he been shocked yet?"
"Impossible! But why!" Yonpachi cried out, studying Jun.. "Aaaahhh! That punk closed his eyes!"
Indeed, Jun had his eyes closed as he laughed. "Hahaha, how's this! Yes, I'm a lolicon, but if I can't see anything, then nothing will work on me!"
Yonpachi took a step back, a growl stuck in his throat. "Damn! He got us! It's so simple, yet so effective!"
Gakuto agreed with him, a fierce look on his face. "And he won't fall to anyone except the class chairman! We're done for!"
As Yamato leans over to whisper into Miyako's ear, Class 2-S was also having similar difficulties with Naruto.
Even as his cross was lowered, settling into position, nothing disturbed his countenance. Yet, his raging heart betrayed a different story.Yamato you idiot! It's not that I don't react to Momoyo! It's that I can't handle her and so I run away… This situation is looking pretty bleak…
He was approached by Azumi, Kokoro, Koyuki, and Margit. Three of them wore the standard swimsuit, yet only Koyuki's chest was noticeable. Margit, being the odd man out, decided to wear her own camouflaged Bikini.
Naruto gulped as Margit shifted to face the other girls, her shapely butt drawing his attention. Thankfully, his weakness for redheads went undiscovered as Kokoro and Azumi approached him.
They both struck poses, leaning forward while sticking out their hips, using what curves they had to their advantage. "So, Naruto?" started Azumi, "How do you like my well toned body?"
Kokoro added her two cents. "How about my beautiful figure, you commoner?"
Closing his eyes, he calmed his rushing heart with deep breathes. Thankfully, with these two, I won't have any problems resisting...
Seeing how he wasn't reacting at all, Azumi scowled. "Damn. You're much more resilient than I thought."
The girls of class 2-S regrouped. Seeing as Naruto had followed the same path as Jun, closing his eyes as a preventive defense, they had to take a more active approach.
Koyuki had no shame at all, approaching Naruto's left while Margit, who wanted to win the Kawakami Campaign, claimed his right. Together, they struck a fearsome tag team, spreading oil all over Naruto's body. They were quick to rub it in with their own.
With his eyes closed, Naruto's other senses were heightened to a degree. His plan backfired! The girls were soft, warm - no, no no! He shan't be tempted.
At the same time, over by class 2-F, Miyako had stepped up next to Jun. "Big brother…" she whispered. Jun was struggling as Miyako continued to whisper to him, his imagination running wild.
Momoyo smiled to herself, enjoying the show that was being put on for her. Though, in the back of her mind, she acknowledged she was a bit jealous.
It came down to a photo finish as both boys were electrocuted at the same time.
"WHAT!?"
Yamato scratched his chin in thought. "I might've miscalculated on this one. I forgot that Naruto doesn't withstand Nee-san, he just runs away from her."
Everyone outside of the Kazama Family in class 2-F turned on him, looks of anger in their eyes. "Why didn't you say so before?"
Hideo seemed interested in the outcome. "What happens in the case of a tie?"
"My boy, this is far from a tie." said Tesshin, approaching them with a small smile.
It was Touma who asked the question on everyone's mind. "What do you mean?"
Tesshin pointed off to the side with his cane. There, once more sitting under the shade, was Naruto. Everyone looked at him and then at the cross, finding that in his place he had switched with another decoy.
Naruto shrugged at everyone's surprised looks. "I wasn't in the market for an electrocution today."
Tesshin laughed. "Be that as it may, since you've escaped your bindings and the baldy has not, Class 2-S wins."
While Class 2-S celebrated their victory over 2-F, Naruto nervously scratched his cheek as his own group of friends leveled flat looks at him.
"Haha… Ha…" said Naruto as he looked away. "Whoops…"
Yamato face palmed.
What an idiot…

-A Few Weeks Later-
…
As the summer break came to an end, classes resumed at their normal pace. Naruto, of course, had to switch classes since 2-S had won.
To an outsider, it didn't seem like such a big deal since it was only one student. Yet, it was a big deal. In the short amount of time Naruto had been in Class 2-F, he cemented himself as the star student. He was a friend to everyone, always willing to help, and the fact that he was unofficially considered the second strongest in the school was quite beneficial to their reputation.
All of that was gone now that he had joined Class 2-S. It wasn't a dark atmosphere- If one had to describe it, the atmosphere was akin to a more forced resignation.
Yonpachi grunted, lying his head against his desk. "This sucks. Not only did we lose to class 2-S, but they also stole Naruto from us."
Chika sighed, closing her eyes. "Because we lost, 2-S will more unbearable than ever. Well, at least we don't have to worry about Naruto being like that…"
Yamato nodded. "Yeah, Naruto just isn't that kind of person to switch like that…"
Their group discussion was cut short as Kojima-Sensei walked in. Everyone sat up straight as she took position behind the podium. "Alright," She called out, "Now listen up! Class 2-F may have lost the Kawakami Campaign, but that is no reason to mope around! Life is full of defeat, so you have to make the best of the situation you are given! Learn from this defeat and grow stronger!"
Her lecture seemed to bring a bit of life back into 2-F as people started to smile and nod.
"With that said," said Kojima-sensei, "If any of you continue to mope around after today, I'll personally rehabilitate your actions! With my whip, I'll show you the error of your ways-"
Someone knocked on the door, leaving many to glance at it in confusion. Umeko was quick to walk over to the door, opening it up to reveal Naruto as he rubbed the back of his head, papers in hands.
They exchanged quiet words as Naruto handed the papers over, leaving Umeko to skim through them. She nodded, pulling Naruto into the classroom. Together, they stood at the podium. "Now listen up!" she said, cracking her whip to silence all the whispers, "Namikaze-san has a very important announcement to give, so be silent until the very end!"
"So," he said, scratching the side of his cheek. "I know this is common knowledge, but after the Kawakami Campaign, I was forced to join Class 2-S. What you all may not know, is that in order to stay in Class 2-S, you need to be in the top 50 for academics. If you don't uphold to this standard, you're forced to drop out. So… I guess I'm back for good."
The class was silent as they processed what he was saying. Then, a loud cheer went around as they all crowded around him, asking all sorts of things about class 2-S.
As Naruto answered what he could, he felt relaxed as a warmth built up inside him, slowly spreading.
This place…
These people…
I truly am starting to care for them…
He laughed as Umeko pulled out her whip, hitting Gakuto with it, trying to restore order to her classroom.
I guess it can't be helped. Life is all about just moving forward...

Any obvious mistakes that caught your eye?
Let me be the first to say that I'm a shit fanfic writer with no actual skill at all. That being said, I've taken the first steps towards becoming a semi-decent writer. This chapter might reflect that since I was using this as my source for improvement, so I apologize if it seems a bit odd to some of you.
Then again, I think this whole story is a bit odd to begin with.
Drop a review if you want since I always appreciate hearing everyone's thoughts.
Well, keep it real and have a nice day!
