Keke: Kira! Over here~! -As she called out to the man, he would walk over to the girl with a bucket of popcorn in his right hand and a tray of drinks on his left as he took a seat next to the gray haired girl and gave her the drinks and snacks as the two were sitting in a private room that is above a massive stadium-
Kira: How did you even get a room like this?
Keke: Nishikino-san booked it for us.
Kira: As expected of the rich man's daughter. Anyway, where's Kanon and Sekai?
Keke: They should be arriving soon. -As she said, the door behind her would open up as Sekai and Kanon arrived at the room together- You guys are almost late!
Kanon: S-Sorry, we got preoccupied with something..
Kira: You can explain that to us later, for now let's see how the Nishikino siblings fight in their match.
-The crowd shouted and cheered loudly within the massive stadium as the announcer got up from his seat excitedly as he spoke through the microphone loudly-
Announcer: We got ourselves the Fire Queen and King! The Nishikino Siblings and the two Beasts! Takagaki Kaede and Shirogane Shirata! The first ones up will be the King and the Princess with a one on one match! Here he comes!
-The sight of a red haired male with beautiful purple eyes was seen as he had the bad-boy look and was dressed casually as he entered the ring and was holding onto a deck of cards as he placed them on a table in front of him as the sight of of a green-haired mature woman was seen walking up the ring as she had a calm smile on her face and was also holding onto a deck of cards in her hand as she would then lightly place the cards on the table and the two would look at each other-
"Begin!"
Shinji & Kaede: Gate Open! Release!
-A few minutes had passed as Shinji had deployed the Grandwalker "Osiris" and had a few low cost Dark Snake spirits on his field as one of them had attacked and reduced Kaede's life as she had deployed multiple nexuses and a Grandwalker "Hermes"-
Kanon: So if we make it to the nationals, we'll be fighting them, huh?
Kira: Yes, and it's no easy task either. Takagaki-san has been known to the dangerous whirlwind of Nippon while her partner: Shirogane-san is known to be extremely assertive and unpredictable.
Kanon: Like how?
Kira: Nobody knows what deck he uses and what are his main cards, in Battle Spirits, anything is possible.
Kanon: I-Isn't that normal? Doesn't that mean it's like my Avatar deck?
Keke: Rather than an Avatar deck, it's more dangerous than you would seem, Kanon-chan..
Kanon: Eh?
Kira: That dude's got so many decks and nobody knows what they're truly capable of doing. -As they were speaking, they noticed that Kaede had four Cost 3 Blade Beast spirits on her field as she would then summon out a giant six-legged creator known as "Kingtaurus"- Here comes the cavalry!
Announcer: She brought in the strongest of them all! One of the mightiest warriors amongst the Blade Beast soldiers! Kingtaurus!
Kaede: Kingtaurus, attacks~
Shinji: Hmph, this early on, huh? I'll show you that you're messing with the wrong opponent.
Kaede: Kingtaurus' attack ability activates. By sending the Soul Core from this spirit to my reserve, during this battle, you cannot activate any flash effects.
Shinji: What?!
-The crowd cheered loudly from the sudden powerful ability-
Maki: Th-That is quite unfair… -As she said, Kaede raised a card from her hand and advented a unit onto Kingtaurus as she advented "Blast-Saber" and when she did, Maki's eyes widened at the sight as she gasped. Up above within the private room, the four were completely shocked to see the card appeared as a massive Blade Beast appeared and would heavy exhaust two of Shinji's Dark Snakes as he took the attack and lost one life from the attack-
Kaede: Bamboo-shoot village's level 2 ability, if my Blade Beast reduces your life through an attack, I get to send one more life to your reserve, then combined with Blast-Saber's level 2 ability, at the end of battle, for each Heavy Exhausted Spirit or Ultimate you have on your field, I get to send one of your lives to your trash, in total, two lives are sent to the trash.
Shinji: Tsk! -In a single moment, the young man had lost four lives from a single attack as he then noticed that Blast-Saber was refreshed- Why is it refreshed?!
Kaede: Grandwalker Hermes' GrandField ability, at the end of the battle, one of my Blade Beast can be refreshed. Now, attack again, Blast-Saber. -As she said, the massive beast roared and charged towards Shinji as the he would then pull out a magic card from his hand-
Shinji: Flash Timing! Snake Vision! I reduce all cores on all of your Spirits to one and I can send one core from Osiris to the void and send one more core from your Spirits to the reserve! I target Blast-Saber!
Kaede: Oh dear. -Her massive beast was then depleted by Shinji as the man would pull out another magic card called "Poison Breath"- Hmm?
Shinji: During this turn, anything with one or less cores, cannot reduce my life.
Kaede: Oh? Then turn end.
Shinji: I'll get back at you this time.
-Within the private room, Sekai and Keke were explaining the situation to both Kanon and Kira as the sight of Shinji could be seen using an Advent ability during his main step as he advented Shen-Madou, the massive Dark Snake with dragon-like wings on its back as he summoned three other Dark Snakes from his trash at no cost and filled up his field quickly-
Kanon: So this is what Dark Snakes can do?
Sekai: Zombies could do the same but Snakes happen to do it a little more quicker than most other purple decks when it comes to summoning from their trash.
Kira: Then what are the odds of Shinji-san, winning?
Keke: It all depends on what set Burst on Takagaki-san's field is..
"Attack step!" -Shinji shouted as his key spirit known as Shen-Madou would attack as it has two symbols from Authaal's release ability-
Shinji: Shen-Madou's level 2 and 3 effect activates, during this turn when my Dark Snakes attack, they cannot be blocked!
Kaede: When your Spirit attacks, my Burst activates. The SevenGreatHeroBeasts SupremeKingBeast Theseus. I can exhaust two of your Spirits and all of my Blade Beasts gets +10000 BP and I can summon this spirit at no cost. -She said as she placed the Spirit onto her field and exhausted two of the other powerful Dark Snakes- I take it to the life. -As she said, she lost two of her lives, leaving her with only two lives left as Shinji was then unable to attack as all of his Spirits were exhausted-
Shinji Turn end..
-Up above within the private room, Kanon and the others were watching intently-
Sekai: This is the final turn.
Keke: Mmhmm. Shinji-san won't be able to defend himself. -In a brief moment after they spoke, Shinji had lost the match as soon as Kaede had summoned another Kingtaurus from her hand and during the next match between Shirogane Shirata and Nishikino Maki, the two leaders of each team would face off against each other as Maki was using an Amaterasu War Dragon deck while Shirata was using an Ultimate Armed Machine deck that belonged to the Grandwalker named Thoth. As the two were battling, Shirata had three Ultimates on his field while his life was at four while Maki's life was at three and she had deployed both the two Grandwalkers of Susanoo and Amaterasu together and had Burning-Souldragon on the field with Ohirume and a few Godseekers as it was Shirata's turn to attack-
Shirata: Start step, Thoth's Grand Field ability activates. I gain an additional attack step.
Maki: W-What?! -The crowd gasped after hearing as Shirata proceeded to attack with his Ultimates on the field as a massive robotic machine that held a massive cannon on its chest would aim right at Maki and fired a powerful beam at Maki-
Shirata: Ace-Arquive's ability, my Ultimates cannot be blocked.
Maki: F-Flash timing! Impregnable Shield! My life cannot be reduced by the attacks of Cost 4 or greater Spirits and Ultimates and by paying one cost from my Grandwalker Amaterasu, Jehutic-Thoth returns back to hand!
Shirata: I guess I didn't see that coming. My Attack step ends, now for my core step, draw step and main step. I summon Jehutic-Thoth again and activate its release effect! I get to copy your steps during your next turn. I summon Cavalry-Ahnejeu and I begin my attack step.
-Up above on top of the rooftop of the stadium arena, the sight of Azuma Yuuya was seen looking down at the battle as his eyes glowed slightly and he would get up from where he sat-
Yuuya: The calamity isn't over, Nishikino-san. A bigger threat is on its way. -As he said, a black portal would appear behind him as the boy would turn and head into the portal and would speak softly- He'll just keep coming back, no matter what…

The reference of "He'll just keep coming back, no matter what…" is a reference towards the main antagonist of the entire franchise of the series that is known as "Shan Vile. Merkava".
