Justin, Noah and Owen are sleeping together in their bed at night. Owen is on the right side, holding Noah over the shoulder with Justin on the far left, his arms stretched out. All three boys are shirtless. Owen has a thought and opens one eye to Justin.
"Justin? You awake?" He asks. Justin wakes up and looks at him.
"Yeah. What's wrong?"
"I never said anything was wrong…" Owen says.
"You're making the whole bed shake, goobers." Justin points out.
"Oh… haha! I guess I'm really worried about Noah. He's been so quiet and I'm worried that something's wrong. Something he isn't talking about." Owen says.
"It definitely seems like something's on his mind. He needs his space sometimes though, and we should probably just respect that."
"But… what if it's really bad? Like, really really really bad!" Owen thinks.
"I worry about him too, just like I worry about you. But he doesn't react very well to being pressured. If he needs us, he'll come to us on his own terms. He knows that we're here." Justin says.
"But… but what if the problem is us? I have a really bad feeling…"
"Hey… it's going to be okay. We both love you. More than you know." Justin smiles. Noah wakes up from hearing this, opening up one eye, but Owen and Justin don't notice. Noah smiles.
"How about this: Tomorrow we can both talk to Noah and just let him know that we love him and we want to listen and help him in any way that we can." Justin says.
"Okay… okay, that sounds good. We'll let him know that if there's a problem, we love him and want to fix it." Owen agrees, smiling.
"Don't you worry too much. Bad for your skin." He glares at Owen, smiling at him.
"I love you, Justin."
"I love you too. Goodnight."
Owen and Justin go back to sleep, and Noah blushes and smiles as he goes back to sleep, finally feeling like he matters.
