Chapter 2 where did you go?

A loud groan can be heard inside a CEO office. And the so called CEO is no other than Maou Sadao himself. He grips the papers in his hand tightly cursing the amount of damage he did last night.

"That damn demon!" He curse while his Ex-general/secretary can only stare at him worriedly.

"Ashiya! I thought the demons are in check!!!how did one of them got in Earth!and WHERE IS BELL!!! ISN'T SHE INCHARGE OF WATCHING THE GATE!?" Maou screams at the top of his lungs while throwing the papers everywhere. Ashiya quickly pickups the papers in the ground while Maou continue to rant his anger.

"We have called in for Bell, she'll arrive shortly, my liege"the sight of Ashiya who is still picking up the papers made Maou guilty. He takes a deep breath and helps Ashiya.

"I'm sorry, Ashiya-"he said while looking down a frown plastered in his face

"You do not need to apologize, I understand your circumstances. you just came from a battle you should rest, my liege "After picking up the papers Maou excused himself then takes a sit near the window that overlooks the city.

"I'll inform you when Bell arrives" Ashiya exited the office leaving Maou in deep thoughts.

He reaches to his pocket taking out a small picture which he photocopy a year ago. The picture contains him and his lovely daughter Alas-ramus and at the side a girl with long magenta hair stands beside his daughter. He clenches the side where the girl is, making it crumpled. the girl beside his Daughter is the only mother in Alas-ramus eyes the girl who disappeared six years ago leaving a heartbroken and abandoned Alas-ramus. He never hated her but ever since the day she left no other emotion but anger and despise he have for her.

He returns the picture inside his pocket and takes a long sigh until he hears his phone ringing. A message from Ashiya saying that Bell has arrived and is making their way to his office. He puts down his phone and awaits for the two.

"Sir, a girl name Suzuno just arrived"

"Where is she now?"

"She's waiting at the waiting corner, third room"

The secretary nodded his head and made his way to the third room. Reaching the room he can hear people talking, he didn't mind the noise and just entered in a hurry way. He scan the room until his eyes landed to a familiar figure. He can see that the girl his looking for is busy talking. He made a frown look then lifted his wrist to check his watch which showed he's 5 minutes late. Not wanting to waste more time he shouted her name getting her attention and some people in the room. The girl hurriedly gathers her things and quickly followed him out of the room.

"How have you been Ashiya?"

"Everything's been good so far..."

"What's with the long face?"

"It's just...for a couple days His been...so out of it lately... I don't know what to do anymore Suzuno-san" Ashiya sigh and look down tiredly. Suzuno look at Ashiya worriedly as they both went in to the elevator.

"How's it been in ente isla?"

"Everything seems to work smoothly than we thought, the trades that Maou suggested has been accepted by many"

"That's good news for a change"

"Have you heard any news?"

Ashiya seems to flinch at Suzuno's question. The news she's referring to is the hero Emilia, She disappeared six years after she took Maou's powers away giving him the freedom to be a human. But that soon return when Emi disappeared a few months later on. Leaving Maou to return to his demon self and much worse the hero's disappearance heavily affected Alas-ramus.

"N-no..not even a single hair...we also lost contacts with Laylah and nord after they went looking for their daughter" The elevator falls down to a dead silence. giving it a heavy atmosphere

Signing both of them that they have arrived, the two cleared they're throats and exited the elevator. Reaching to the office door Ashiya kindly open the doors for Suzuno to enter.

"My liege" Ashiya called to the teenage boy who is seating near the window gazing outside to who knows where.

"Maou-dono.." Suzuno tried to attract Maou's attention out of the window by placing a hand on his shoulders. Which she retreats back when Maou turn to glare at her with his red glowing eyes.

"Maou-dono" Suzuno look at Maou nervously as he makes his way to them.

"Bell...you already know why I called for you right?" He question, Ashiya nodded to Maou and exited the office.

"Yes, I deeply apologize for the damage" Suzuno bows showing how apologetic she is but Maou's anger can not be submerged down to an apology. not to hurt Suzuno he simply handed her a damage reports.

"this are..."

"the damge reports, if i continue to pay it from the company it'll just burden us. until you make sure to guard the gate you'll be handling any ' accident ' that occur from the gates "

"yes, Maou-dono I shall not trouble you again"Maou just simply shrug and went back to his sit.

"Any word from Urushihara?(lucifer)" The two continued on until Maou dismiss Suzuno. Maou continues to check the paperwork until he felt the needs to go outside. He notified Ashiya before exiting the office. Taking a quick glance at his expensive watch which his Girlfriend bought for him, Though he didn't like it he wore it for her sake. After confirming that he still have more time for a break he thought he'd get a drink at the nearby station.

Exiting the elevator and the building he made a quick turn at the right and head straight to the station, unbeknown by him after he made another turn a girl bump into him. Losing his balance he fell flat at the ground. His vision were filled with her long magenta hair reminiscing the familiar hair from his memories.

"I-i'm sorry!!" He heard her say, he quickly stood up Trying to find the owner of those voice, trying to get a glimpse of her familiar magenta hair. But to no avail she completely disappeared.

Did I just imagine that?

After a long work Maou reaches to his phone to find Chiho messaging him telling him to visit and have dinner together with Alas-Ramus. Maou quickly replied then head straight to chiho's house in his hand a box of blueberry cheesecake.

Upon arriving he sees a 7 years old Alas-ramus sitting in the swing alone, head down to the ground. He quickly calls for her getting her attention away from the ground. The 7 years old made a half heart smile and waved her hand to Maou.

"Papa!!"she runs to him with open arms tightly holding on to him.
