Chapter 6: I'm sorry

"I'm sorry, you must have the wrong person... I'm Emi Yusa...not Emilia" she answered him

"Yes your name is Emi Yusa in Japan but back at Ente Isla your real name is EMILLIA JUSTINA!!"

"What do you mean,???!!!sir, your confusing me with the wrong person!"Maou look straight at her eyes no sign of herself lying, in which Maou feared the most.

"Wait...you don't really remember me? "the crowd started to notice the two taking glances at Maou and Emi in the middle of the fountain.

"No I don't even know you!!Sir, I advised you to stop this!!"she pushes Maou away from her and run straight to the crowd disappearing from his sight again. Maou stands there alone and hurt, a fracture of he's being felt broken to him when he heard her say those words, as if something just broke him apart.

She really doesn't remember me...

After Maou and Emi's Little scene in the fountain. Maou returns to his company devastated. The staffs look at him worriedly as he makes his way to his office lifelessly. Dragging his body enough to reach the handle—but then collapse panicking the staff.

They started to gather and try to find a way to wake him up while the other staff tries to call for an ambulance not long Ashiya arrived to the scene confused until he sees Maou's lifeless body on the floor.

"My liege!"he quickly reach to him checking his vitals for any sign of life. after confirming he didn't waste another seconds and Princess carry him down to the lobby and straight to his car. Some followed them others stayed to calm the people down.

Reaching to the hospital they quickly calls for the the doctor and Maou gets wheels off to the Emergency room. Unfortunately Ashiya had to stay behind causing a scene at the hospital lobby.

"I must be with his excellency!!!!"

"Sir please calm down-"

Because Ashiya couldn't think straight he started to talk in ente isla language confusing the poor nurse who is assigned to calm him down. Not long the doctor came out and handed him some results. It made Ashiya calm down knowing that it's finished but worriedly scan the results.

"As you can see, the patient collapse due to stress and lack of sleep...So I advise that after his discharge, he'll need a long rest"the doctor said as he guided him to Maou's room. Ashiya look down ashamed he couldn't take fully care of his King(Ex-King)

"He's resting here in room 21 until his discharges"The doctor left him after giving him the results leaving Ashiya standing in front of the door depressed.

"Forgive me, my liege"he mumbled while entering the room.

Meanwhile just beside room 21 noise's of scream started to slip out off room 22 a familiar noisy Rika lectures the wounded Emi on the hospital bed.

"You could've been kidnapped or worse!!!!!kick him in the balls IF EVER HE TRIES TO DO THAT!!!!!"

"it's ok, he must have confused me with the wrong person"Emi nervously defend but Rika wasn't having it and keep on roaring how careless and too kind Emi is.

"If we EVER cross paths with him you better Tell me!!!ok?!"

"Y-yeah"

meanwhile in room 21 Maou somehow woke up.

"Is the company ok?"he asked

"everything is fine, my liege...the doctor advised for you to rest...can I ask what happened my Liege?"Ashiya ask knowing that there is another reason for Maou to collapse. While Ashiya await for Maou to answer Ashiya's phone rings.

"Excuse me"he exited the room and read the dialer

{Ms. Chiho}

"Hello?"

"Ah! Ashiya is Maou with you?"Ashiya hesitates to answer and glances back to Maou. Meanwhile Maou who clearly understood who's on the phone made an X mark with his hands, Ashiya nodded and explain that Maou is currently not with him.

"I see, I'll be going back to England... I thought this could be a good time for Alas-Ramus and Maou to spend time while I'm out of the country"

"Y-your going to England?"

"Hmm~ tell Maou I'll drop her off on Saturday and sorry that I can't join him for dinner ok?"

"Ah-y-yes"Chiho then quickly cut off, Ashiya nervously looks at Maou who heard everything.

The next day Maou was discharged from the hospital though the doctors said he still needed rest Maou insists that he have recovered. On the other hand Ashiya wish he would rest and leave everything to him but Maou just shrugged it off and made a pose of how healthy he is.

"My liege, call me if ever you feel—

"Ashiya, I'm fine. really!! your talking to the Ex-Demon King of Ente Isla after all!"Maou assured him.

Ashiya who gave up and just nodded, then opened the car door for them to enter. While Ashiya drives, Maou started to stare outside the car window thinking about how everything seems so complicated to him for the pass 6 years. battling the thoughts in whether he made the right choice to date Chiho when everything seem to not work right. He was after all sure that he loves her, but for the last 6 years all he can ever think is Work, Alas-Ramus...and Emi

But right now he messed up, the look Emi gave him was like a stab in Maou's heart. The pain knowing that someone have forgotten about you was something Maou couldn't take. Hearing her words and seeing the look Emi gave him no words can express it.

"I messed up, big time Ashiya" he mumbled enough for Ashiya to hear.

Not long they arrive at Maou's new apartment. His apartments consists of a modern and rich look, walls and floors mix with the colour grey and black. in short its a gloomy apartment

"My liege please I ask of you to rest for today, you can work tomorrow"Ashiya said they'd been battling over and over for the pass 23 minutes straight. and right now Ashiya choose to not give up and insists for Maou to rest. Maou rise both his hand in defeat, he flung himself to his bed and mumbled a ' ok I'll rest '

Seeing that Maou gave up Ashiya left his apartment less worried. After confirming that Ashiya left he quickly reach to his car key and quickly reach to the entrance door but when he swiftly open the door he accidentally hit someone. the loud crash surprise Maou followed with a cry of pain

"Ah! Sorry i didn't know—Emi???"

"Ahg-"Maou rush to her side seeing how she grits her teeth in pain.

" EMI!!!"seeing that Emi painfully held her bandage rap ankles and the bleeding would in her elbow. Maou quickly carries her bridal style and hurriedly ran down the stairs from the second floor to the first floor while Emi in his hand.

On the other end, Emi look so confused and shock holding Maou tightly not knowing where his taking her. reaching the first floor Maou scan the surroundings but couldn't find a single person, remembering that it's still early and the staff won't be here until 9 AM Maou run out of the building and straight to his car.

"Wha-where are you taking m-ah"he gently lay her down at the back seat. He then quickly seats at the front and quickly started the engine and hastily push the buttons of the flat screen searching any near clinic for her. Emi can only look and shout where his taking her while Maou drive.

after short 15 minutes ride with Maou's extra speed they arrive at the clinic. again carried her bridal style Embarrassing her. the moment they entered, the patients and nurses eyes were glued into them. Emi covered her face to hide her red tomato face and gave up shouting at Maou to stop and put her down.

After their little scene in the clinic, Emi was successfully check by the doctor. Maou sigh in relieved when the doctor told him she's fine and advise for her not to move much. on the other hand Emi couldn't stop blushing specially when the Nurses whose re bandaging her ankles and mending her wounds keep gossiping about them.

"Is that her husband?"

"I think it's her boyfriend"

"He's so handsome!"

"You can really see how he loves her"

"Omg did you see his face??he was so worried"

"He was carrying her bridal style right?!?!"

"Ma'am you really hit the jackpot"

"Your so lucky having him"

"Is he your husband or boyfriend?"

"are you dating?"

"he look familiar"

"his like a model or CEO!"

Emi kept on telling them their not married or any relationship but the nurses keep on throwing her question leaving Emi to blush even more. Maou walk into the room quieting the nurses until they're done. they left the room leaving Maou and the Blushing Emi alone together.

"I'M REALLY SORRY" Maou said bowing down

"Y-you really don't have too"she assured"I'm ok now, and thank you for taking me here. though it was my fault-

"No it was my fault I should have made sure no one was passing by..so I really deeply apologize!"Emi again assures him but he kept apologizing until they left the clinic. Reaching back to the apartment Maou remembered he didn't lock his door seeing that it was still open. Emi found the boxes she drop just right next to the door.

she bent down and so did Maou, collecting the books that got separated.

"I'm really sorry" he apologized again

"I told you—

"I mean the other day, when I forcefully pulled your hand"Emi sweat drop when she remembered the fountain scene remembering how careless she was when she ran away from him and not far slip off and hurt her ankles.

"Ah y-yes"picking up the last book Emi stand up and put the last book at the Very top of the box.

"Here" Maou reach to the box taking it away from her. He points at the other closed door asking him if this is her apartment. she nodded and said a thank you before opening the door.

"Ah so"Maou nervously scratch his head avoiding Emi's gaze until he felt her hand on his cheek turning his head to the side.

"What's this?" she ask indicating the red spot beside his forehead.

"Oh ah... about that...hehe I fainted yesterday and hit my head, it's fine "the two look at each other and started to burst into laughter, seeing how wounded they are.

"So, see ya"Maou happily said waving his hand and closed his apartment door before walking to the hallway and out of the apartment building. he turn around and stared at the second floor catching Emi staring down at him. She smiled, waving her hand and mouthed a ' thank you '
