A/N: We meet again. 3 chapters in one day, wow. I just wanna give yall something to do in quarantine. Read and review, thank yall so much!

Funny story if yall wanna listen to what I did today XD: I was chilling watching Frozen with my family (just so I could watch Jonathan Groff's movie, Lol) and the first scene Kristoff (Jonathan Groff, AKA Groffsauce, AKA King George III) was in I started screaming "You'll Be Back" and my parents are like what the actual frick is this creature in my house then the credits came and I started singing "I Know Him" purposefully voice cracking as my dad stood up to leave the room XD

Another funny story: I was watching Moana (Cause who doesn't like a movie with Lin's music in it?) and in the credits it said Lin's name and I started screaming "WHATS YO NAME MAN" from "Alexander Hamilton" and my mom is like I'm fucking done bitch

Okay to the story :)

I awoke in a white room with light blue curtains.

"Laurens!" I blinked twice, looking for the source of the voice. I already knew whose voice it belonged to - I just needed to see her face.

"Mar."

I finally found her. She was sitting here holding my hand. "How long have I been out?"

"A couple of hours. Your phone has been buzzing like crazy, too. I didn't look at any of the messages, they could be private. I respect your boundaries, Laurens."

"Mar, you're the best." I gently squeezed her hand.

I reached for my phone when Martha stopped me. "What?"

"There are others here, too," Martha said.

"Who is 'others?'" I asked, genuinely confused.

"Nathalie, can they come in, please?" Martha called to who I assumed to be the nurse.

"Of course, Miss Laurens," the nurse, Nathalie, responded.

The white door burst open revealing a distressed group of people:

Eliza

Angelica

Lafayette

And Peggy. (a/n Sorry I had to XP)

"Laurens! We were worried sick about you!" Angelica was the first to speak, causing the rest to erupt in chaos.

"Laurens! Your sister told me you weren't answering me because you were in the hospital and oh my god, she was right. This is one of the scariest things that has happened to me!"

"Be more careful, Mon Ami! Don't scare us like that!"

"Why on Earth would you get hurt?"

"Don't do that again! You're one of our closest friends!"

I squeezed my eyes shut to pretend that these people didn't care about me that much. Do they actually consider me a close friend?

After finally getting the others to calm down (Peggy being the last one to stop crying), we had a small conversation about random things. School, new mall products, etc. That's when another nurse walked in. "Mr. Laurens needs his rest," he said.

"Of course. Let's go, Mon amies," Lafayette said, the Schuylers all taking turns to hug me goodbye. Lafayette gave me a small two-finger salute.

"Thank you guys for coming. Bye," I mustered all my strength to give them a small wave goodbye.

I layed in bed for I don't know how long when I heard my phone buzz. I forgot about my phone. Martha told me that my phone was going crazy. At least Martha is nice enough to not look at the messages. I reached over to the small-wheeled table and snatched my phone. 35 new text messages. Jeez, that's more than I have ever had before. I quickly unlocked my phone to read the texts.

NonstopHamMan: Peggy just said they just left you so you can sleep

NonstopHamMan: I can leave you be now I guess

NonstopHamMan: goodnight

I stared at the messages Alexander sent me. Did he really care about me?

TurtleBoi: sorry I didn't answer sooner but thank you for thinking of me :) goodnight

I closed the messaging app and opened Instagram. I scrolled through what seemed like two seconds when my phone bussed again.

NonstopHamMan: why are you up so late

I quickly answered.

TurtleBoi: can't sleep

TurtleBoi: these mattresses are like cement with lumps in them

NonstopHamMan: lol

TurtleBoi: why are you up so late tho

TurtleBoi: wait did I wake you up

TurtleBoi: sorry

NonstopHamMan: no no it's fine I was already up

TurtleBoi: can you not sleep either?

TurtleBoi: Mr. Washington seems nice enough to give you a nice mattress

Alexander didn't write for a minute or so.

NonstopHamMan: no I have a nice mattress

NonstopHamMan: but I guess you could say can't sleep

TurtleBoi: what do you mean "I guess you could say"

NonstopHamMan: im writing

TurtleBoi: and why at this hour?

NonstopHamMan: I don't necessarily like sleeping

NonstopHamMan: so I write instead of sleeping

NonstopHamMan: and if I get really into what I'm writing about (which happens a lot) I get around an actual hour of sleep

NonstopHamMan: I normally end up sleeping at my desk

TurtleBoi: omg you need to sleep more

TurtleBoi: you can really hurt yourself by not sleeping or sleeping hunched over on a desk

NonstopHamMan: eh

NonstopHamMan: I turned out pretty ok

TurtleBoi: like actually tho

TurtleBoi: I don't want you like really hurting yourself

NonstopHamMan: speaking of getting hurt how did you end up in the hospital

NonstopHamMan: like if you want to talk about it

NonstopHamMan: I know what it's like if you don't want to talk about some things

TurtleBoi: no no it's fine

TurtleBoi: I fell and burned my hand on a stovetop burner and got a second-degree burn but I ended up passing out and hit my head on my headboard cracking my head open

There. He didn't need to know the whole truth.

NonstopHamMan: jeez

NonstopHamMan: and you're telling me to be careful about sleeping

NonstopHamMan: I don't want you to get hurt either

Wait. Is he serious?

TurtleBoi: are you serious

NonstopHamMan: about what

TurtleBoi: that you don't want me to get hurt

NonstopHamMan: of course

NonstopHamMan: you are one of my only friends who will respect my space

NonstopHamMan: so far at least, lol

TurtleBoi: thanks.

NonstopHamMan: was that sarcasm

NonstopHamMan: it's hard to tell over text

TurtleBoi: I'm not being sarcastic

Just then a nurse walked in to check my blood pressure. "Oh my gosh, boy, why are you on your phone this late? You need to sleep!" He said in a hushed tone.

"I'm sorry, I was texting a friend," I said, guilt making its way around my body.

"You got to visit friends earlier. You need to get sleep."

"Okay. Just let me tell him I have to go to bed. Please?"

"... Fine. Just don't take too long, I can get in trouble if you aren't sleeping. You are supposed to be my responsibility," he explained.

"Thank you! It won't take too long."

NonstopHamMan: oh ok :)

NonstopHamMan: but thank you too

TurtleBoi: aw :)

TurtleBoi: sorry my nurse just walked in to test my blood pressure and said I can't be on my phone this late or he can get in trouble. Bye thanks for talking to me

TurtleBoi: and get more sleep ;)

NonstopHamMan: I can't make any promises ;)

NonstopHamMan: thanks for letting me know how you were doing and goodnight for real this time

TurtleBoi: goodnight for real.

I turned my phone off and set it on my nightstand. I let the nurse finish testing my blood pressure and I rested my head back and thought about the texts Alexander sent me. Does he care about me or is he just trying to be nice? I took deep breaths and thought about my hand. I can't let Father hurt Martha anymore, though. Can I trust Alexander to help me? No, I just met him! The Schuylers seem pretty loud, Lafayette is pretty excited all the time, and Thomas, James, Theodosia, Aaron, Alexander, and Herc I just met. This is going to be way too hard! Eventually, my thoughts put me to sleep.

Alex POV

I couldn't write. After talking to Laurens, I couldn't, just couldn't, seem to write. Laurens seemed to be hiding something on why he burned his hand. He took longer to respond to my question. For no particular reason, I have a hunch that this might include his father. He never talks about family and was hugging a girl after school today, both of them crying. I wondered if that was Laurens'girlfriend.

I saved the last paragraph of my writing and climbed into my bed. I tossed and turned thinking about Laurens. I liked him, that's for sure, but what is this deeper feeling? Eventually, I drifted off to sleep.

"Mother, I brought you grandma's signature soup," I called, holding a tray holding a bowl of soup, a spoon, and a cloth for a napkin.

"Alexander, honey, come here," she motioned for me to sit next to her.

Setting the tray on the floor next to our scrawny little feathered mattress, I climbed into her lap. I never sat in her lap for years now. I rested my head on her shoulder and sighed. We were sick, but Mother was worse than me.

"Alexander Hamilton. Know forever that I will always love you. I love you to the ends of the Earth. My son, take your time. I will see you on the other side," she whispered in my ear.

"Mother, no! No, don't leave me! Mother! Mother! You are the only person I have left!" I watched as her eyes slowly shut as I gently shook her. Pressed my ear to her chest, listening for a heartbeat. Nothing. I cried. Sobbed. Cried for help, for someone, something. Anything. I was alone.

I bolted upright, screaming bloody murder. Martha ran over to me. "Alex, hon, it's going to be okay," she whispered, hugging the living daylights out of me.

I cried into her shoulder. George walked into my room and sat on the other side of me, wrapping his long arms around Martha and I. We stayed like that for a while before George said that he had to get to school earlier than normal, he had a meeting with the other teachers.

I reluctantly agreed to get ready for school. Another day, another day to keep my secret.

John POV

I looked at my burned hand in its cast. I wasn't allowed to go to school today, because of my hand.

I grabbed my phone and tapped on my messages.

TurtleBoi: hey can you bring me my homework from today

MissIgnored: sure good ol buddy ol pal :)

I happily sighed. Peggy was this big ball of energy, and I can just hear her voice saying her text messages even.

Looking at the clock on my phone I realized that Peggy would be in our first-hour math class right now. Why would she be on her phone in math class?

The rest of my day went by slower than ever since I was sitting in bed doing nothing. I spent my entire day on Netflix watching random movies or TV shows.

Alex POV

I looked around the lunch table. I guess Laurens was in the hospital. That still doesn't explain why he answered so slowly on that certain text.

I hung my head down lower than normal and continued to write my paper I was writing last night. Stuffing my face with a salad I picked up from the deli on my way to school, I started to write a new paper on burns when Pegs started blabbering away like always.

"I still can't believe that Laurens is in the hospital! His hand was all bandaged up and he couldn't move it at the time! I feel so bad for his family!" Peggy said, swallowing her cookie before talking, thank goodness.

"What happened to him?" James asked, in his normal deep, hushed tone.

"Mon Ami said that he fell on a burner on his stove and has a burn two," Lafayette explained.

"Oh, no! That's horrible!" Theodosia exclaimed.

"How did you find out?" Aaron questioned.

"Peggy texted Laurens' sister Martha asking why Laurens wouldn't answer her and she said he was in the hospital," Eliza said.

"I feel terrible for him," Thomas said. Wow. I didn't know he had feelings.

"What if we surprised him with a welcome home party when he gets out of the hospital?" Herc suggested.

"Hercules Mulligan, you have the best ideas!" Angelica exclaimed.

They continued to plan for the party and no one even noticed I didn't want to talk. I wrote and wrote and wrote until it was time to go to the fifth hour.

Everyone stood up and left, but Peggy stayed by my side. "Hey Ale-ex," she singsonged to me.

"What is it now, Peggy?" I said sarcasm was apparent.

"Well, I have an idea. So I may or may not have noticed that you seemed really quiet today, quieter than normal, so I thought maybe you could bring Laurens his homework after school," she said, in a somewhat normal tone.

"And why me, again?"

"Because you seemed unhappy today and I thought you might want to hang out with Laurens," she continued, "Laurens is a lot of fun and has a fun personality. He can brighten anyone's day."

"... Whatever."

"Meet me outside the library to picked his homework up. Thank you so much!" Peggy skipped towards the others.

The rest of the day dragged on and on. Probably because I was secretly excited to see Laurens. I admit it, he is really cute, but that still doesn't change his personality. I don't know him that well.

I found Peggy outside of the library just like she said she would be. "Here is all his homework, I ordered it in his schedule." She handed me a thin stack of papers.

"Thank you." I walked off towards the hospital a couple of blocks down the road, computer bag slung over my left shoulder, Laurens' homework in my left hand, a half-full coffee cup from Starbucks in my right hand. All set.

I walked into the hospital and asked for Laurens' room number.

"Friend or family?" The lady behind the desk asked.

"A friend," I said, holding up the papers, "I'm bringing his homework."

"Of course. Room 208, second floor."

"Thank you."

I found the double elevators and pressed the up button. The doors on the right opened. I pressed the floor-2 button and listened to the annoying yet peaceful elevator music. I walked out into a large open square of a room, almost like our school's commons area. I walked up to a lady in scrubs behind the desk. "Excuse me, but where can I find a Laurens in room 208?" I asked. Come to think of it, I don't know his last name. Although Laurens is a pretty weird first name.

The lady behind the desk grabbed a walkie talkies and asked for a man to come over. He led me down the hallway towards some hospital rooms.

"I'm Mr. Laurens' private nurse, so if you ever need anything for him, come to me first." He said. Mr. Laurens. I thought. Well, I guess I don't know his first name then.

The nurse gently tapped on room 208. "Mr. Laurens, a friend is here to drop some homework off," the nurse said. I quietly examined his scrubs. They were a baby blue with Snoopy all over them.

"Okay," Laurens said, muffled from the closed door.

The nurse opened the door gesturing for me to walk in. "Hey," I said, kind of hesitantly. He was probably expecting Peggy. He picked his head up and I could've sworn his face got brighter when he saw me.

John POV

"Hey."

I picked my head up at the sound of a boy's voice, not Peggy's, seeing not Peggy but Alexander. I could not have been happier to see Alexander since I had already seen Peggy last night. I also wanted to see Alexander's face. He has the face of an angel if you ask me.

"Oh, u-uh, hey," I stuttered. Idiot.

"Um, Peggy told me to drop this off for her." He handed me a thin stack of papers.

"Thanks," I said, setting my phone on the table. I was watching Dwight's Christmas from The Office on Netflix. I flipped through the papers, seeing math, English, and science homework.

"Um, do you want me to leave or…" Alexander stood there, not knowing what to do. He looked adorable when he was confused. The combination of his slick black hair pulled into a ponytail with a few strands framing his face, a coffee and computer bag made him look like an adorable college student.

"No, you can stay. I doubt Peggy or any of the Schuylers are going to visit me after visiting last night, and on top of it Peggy sent you to bring my homework," I chuckled. "But I am pretty happy that she sent you."

"Oh, well I'm glad you're happy," he said, a smile creeping upon his face. He looked adorable with a smile.

I heard another knock on the door when I heard a girl's voice. "Hey, Jo - I mean Laurens, I'm coming in."

Martha came in.

Alex POV

"Hey, Jo-Laurens, I'm coming in."

I saw the same girl from the library walk in. Definitely his girlfriend. I got a closer look at her and noticed they look nothing alike. There go my chances.

"Hey how are you- who are you?" She looked at me with disgust.

"Oh, um, I-I'm Alexander Hamilton," I said.

"And who said you could come in? I'm supposed to be the first person to see him after school so if you don't mind, I would be more than overjoyed if I could spend some time alone with -"

"Mar!" As I turned to leave, I snapped my head back at Laurens, who just raised his voice. I have never heard my friend raise their voice at their crush or boyfriend or girlfriend, I thought, but I would never assume Laurens would raise his voice.

"I asked Peggy to bring me my homework and she got Alexander to bring it instead! So what if he was here before you? I can talk to my friend if I want!" He said, louder than a normal talking voice, but soft enough to not be heard down the hall.

"Laurens?" I stared at him blankly.

"Yeah?" He responded, quieter this time.

"I can leave, if you want," I used my thumb to point at the door.

"No, no, please stay. Mar, what's up?" He turned his head to the girl, now sitting in a chair next to Laurens, holding his hand. I am guilty as can be about being jealous.

"Well, I don't have any more ideas on how to fix our situation. And I don't think we ever will anytime soon." She said. She droned on and on about her school day as I zoned out, staring at the window. The curtains covered the entire large window, the overhead lights being the source of light.

"Hey, Laurens?" I asked.

"What?"

"Can I open the curtains?"

"... Why, may I ask?"

"I wrote an essay on healing from traumatic experiences where you end up in a hospital whether you are recovering from an injury or Brian damage and if you are staying in a room, it's best if you keep a window clear and visible in your sight. The window will show off the nature scenes outside and scientists have proved that people who have a great view out their window while they are recovering, they will recover faster." I explained. (a/n This is true, I read about it in my science class) "This is why people send other people recovering from an injury, flowers."

"In that case, of course!" Laurens exclaimed. The other girl huffed.

"Mar, give him a chance, he's nice to me," I heard Laurens whisper to the girl as I was opening the curtains. I pretended not to hear. He thinks I'm nice, he thinks I'm nice, he thinks I'm nice, I thought over and over.

"... Fine." I heard her say.

I breathed in deeply and huffed out. The view was breathtaking. I stared out the window for a little bit. I turned back around and saw Laurens whispering something in the other girl's ear. Stop being jealous.

"Okay. For you." She gave him a small hug and a kiss on his head. Stop being so jealous, you gay.

She left the room and quietly closed the door. "Sorry about Martha. She can be pushy when she is in a bad mood."

"Oh. Is she like, your, you know… girlfriend?" I asked, hoping it wasn't a weird question.

He burst out laughing. "No. She's my sister," he said, "she doesn't look anything like me, I know. She looks like my father more than my mother, but I look more like my mother than my father. I hope that sums up most of it without being confusing."

"Oh, okay. That wasn't confusing at all."

"Oh. Good."

Silence.

I started to giggle. "What?" Laurens asked.

"I'm sorry, I'm not used to this much silence with my friends. Well, you know the Schuylers, Laf, and Herc, Thomas… really only James, Theo, and Aaron are quiet."

"Oh. Well, I don't know what to talk about." He chuckled.

We talked for a half-hour when I heard my phone go off, playing "The Story of Tonight" from the musical "Miranda" about the founding fathers Lin Manuel Miranda. George was calling.

"Oh, can you give me a moment? George - er, Mr. Washington is calling me."

"Oh, okay. Go ahead." He said, picking his phone up.

I pressed the answer button, "Hello?"

"Alex, where are you?" George said, slight annoyance in his voice, "Are you in the library again? I can't find you."

"Oh, um, I'm at the hospital, visiting Laurens," I said, "I was dropping off his homework."

"Thank you, Alex. Just be home before five o'clock, dinnertime. Martha is making fettuccine and Alfredo with chicken and vegetables."

"Thanks, George. I'll be home in a little bit."

"Thank you, Alex. Goodbye."

"'Kay. Bye," I said, just before I hung up.

"What was that for?" Laurens asked.

"Mr. Washington is also my foster dad, he was calling to ask where I was," I explained. "I have to leave in a bit he said."

"Oh. That's too bad," Laurens face dropped.

"I mean, I can visit tomorrow or Thursday if you want."

"That would be great! Er, that would be great," he exclaimed.

"Okay, just text me if you need anything," I said, happiness wanting to bubble over.

Laurens reached out with his good hand and took my hand in his. My heart skipped a beat, my cheeks turning a rosy red.

"Thank you, Alexander," Laurens said, giving my hand a small squeeze.

"No problem." He released his grasp on my hand and I turned to walk away. I stopped at the door and peeked my head over my shoulder. "You can call me Alex if you want."

And with that, I walked away towards George and Martha's house.

John POV

"You can call me Alex if you want."

Those words spun around my head like a merry go round. I heard the others call him Alex but I didn't think I was a close enough friend to call him that. And on top of that, I held his hand without making it awkward! With these happy thoughts in my head, I drifted off to a nice sleep. I forgot to eat dinner.

Alex POV

I arrived at the Washingtons' house and greeted Martha by the door. "Hi, Martha. Is dinner ready?" I asked.

"No, not yet. Can you help me with the salad?" Martha asked me. Darn her quick thinking.

"Sure, just let me set my stuff in my room." I headed upstairs, replaying Laurens grabbing my hand. "Thank you, Alexander." Then it hit me: I forgot to ask what his first name is.

I sighed, setting my computer bag down on my desk and went back downstairs to help Martha.

"Hi, Alexander. What are you doing right now?" George asked me.

"Hi, George, I'm going to go help Martha with dinner."

After helping Martha and setting the table for dinner, we sat down and said grace like we do every night. Then I continued my routine and brought my plate upstairs so I could write some more. Martha shook her head like she does every night when I leave the table.

I sat at my desk, head in my hands. I couldn't think about writing if my friend was in the hospital. If I go to sleep, I'll end up with another memory of my mother or father or hurricane. I stared at my computer for a long time before shutting it off and opened my messaging app.

NonstopHamMan: watcha doing

TurtleBoi: idk what could I be doing

NonstopHamMan: you know what I mean

TurtleBoi: yea okay I was watching the office

NonstopHamMan: lol nice

TurtleBoi: what are you doing this late

TurtleBoi: shouldn't you be eating rn

NonstopHamMan: Nah I normally end up eating with my computer in my room plus my food is already cold

TurtleBoi: bro be thankful for your food and eat it as you should

NonstopHamMan: you sound like Martha

TurtleBoi: sorry I have younger siblings that aren't thankful for anything

NonstopHamMan: ah

Just then George walked into my room. "Alex, me and Martha would like to talk to you."

"Okay, give me a second."

TurtleBoi: it's weird here

NonstopHamMan: why's that

TurtleBoi: my nurse is so nice it seems fake honestly

NonstopHamMan: lol

NonstopHamMan: I could stop by after school each day to see how you're doing if you want

TurtleBoi: that would be great, thanks

NonstopHamMan: np anything for a friend

NonstopHamMan: I gotta go Martha and George want to talk to me

TurtleBoi: okay

TurtleBoi: talk later then?

NonstopHamMan: Sure that sounds nice :)

I stood in the living room when I turned my phone off. Martha spoke up.

"Alex, we think it might be best if you saw a therapist after school."

"What?!" I yelled.

"Alex, honey, please don't raise your voice at us."

"I have things to do after school this year! For once!"

"Alex, we know it's your senior year and all, but Martha and I have decided that after this mornings… incident, it's for the best." George shook his head before resting his forehead in his hand.

"No! Please! I have the library to go to after school and I have to visit Laurens in the hospital-"

"It's better if you don't, Alex. The library is too secluded and seeing your friend in the hospital isn't going to help you be any happier than you are now," Martha said.

"No! Laurens is nice to me! He can make anyone smile, even me. I know it's probably not up to me, but I don't care. I'm not going." I stood up from the couch, walking - no, stomping - up to my stairs.

"Alexander! Please, let us talk this over!" Martha called after me.

"Martha, let's leave him be alone for a bit. He's not in the best mood right now." George said, motioning for Martha to sit back down.

I slammed my door shut and fell on my floor, crying. Of all my high school years, it HAS to be the one where I think I finally am having a good year. Right now, Laurens is the only thing that can make me happy.

NonstopHamMan: hey I'm back

TurtleBoi: ok :)

NonstopHamMan: do you ever get mad at your parents

TurtleBoi: all the time

TurtleBoi: why do you ask

NonstopHamMan: idk Martha and George aren't being the nicest

TurtleBoi: I'm sorry is there anything I can do

NonstopHamMan: Nah it's fine just wondering

TurtleBoi: can I call you?

NonstopHamMan: sure why

TurtleBoi: idk I want to talk you know instead of typing cause my thumb hurts probably more than my other burned hand xD

NonstopHamMan: don't even joke about that

TurtleBoi: sorry

My phone started to play "Story of Tonight" from Miranda. Laurens was calling me. I pressed the green answer button. "Hello?"

"Hey, I'm calling Alex, right?"

"Yeah, why? Did you think it wasn't me?" I chuckled through my tears, trying to cover that I wasn't crying.

"Alex! Have you been crying?" There goes that cover.

"Y-yeah." I said between hiccups.

"Why? Is that why you asked if I was ever mad at my parents before?" He sounded genuinely concerned.

"Yeah. I'm fine, really."

"Alex, I'm not going to ask further questions because you said I was one of your only friends who respect your space, so I'm going to keep it that way. But if you ever do want to talk, I'm here."

I burst out another load of tears, just hearing that. "Th-thanks, Laurens."

"Alex, don't cry. I don't like hearing you cry," Laurens said, sounding choked up.

"Are you going to say you're going to cry, too?"

"Of course I'm going to cry! I hate this hospital and my friend is crying. What else can I do?" He cried out before starting to sob.

"Well, at least we have each other, right?" I joked between sobs.

After a while, we stopped or slowed our tears, we continued a normal conversation with each other, which led to me giving Laurens the answers to his homework.

"Thanks again for helping me, Alex," Laurens said as I heard a knock at the door.

"Here give me a second, someone's at my door." I said before setting my phone on my table but not hanging up. "Yes?"

"Alex, we need to talk." George opened my sorry ever so slightly just so he could slip through.

I picked my phone up. "It's George. I'll text you later if that's okay?"

"Yeah, that's perfectly fine with me." Laurens said. "Bye."

"Bye." I hung up.

"Who was that on the phone?" George gestured to my phone in my right hand.

"A friend."

"Which friend? As in, what's their name?"

"Laurens."

"Okay… Alex, about the therapist. We've already hired him so you can see him after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays."

"And what is his name again?" I asked, annoyed with this conversation. I opened up my photo gallery and flipped through pictures of my friends.

"Alex, get off your phone and listen to me."

"Who names their kid, 'Alex, get off your phone and listen to me?'" I asked.

"Lose the attitude, Alexander." George was getting more and more annoyed by the second. I set my phone down before I could lose it from being grounded. "His name is Dr. Chip."

"Okay. Can I please be alone for a bit now? I would like to write some more."

"Of course. Martha might come to visit later."

"Okay. Thank you, George. Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Alexander."

I looked at my phone. I opened my texting app. Laurens had already texted me.

TurtleBoi: I'm so sorry my nurse said I have to sleep now

NonstopHamMan: gnight :)

TurtleBoi: gnight :)

I sighed. I slammed my face into my pillow a couple of times before laying there for a couple of minutes. I rolled on my side, flopping onto the floor while grabbing my laptop. I started to write. And write. And write. And fell asleep on my desk.
