'Thoughts'
(With Ganondorf and Sheik)
"Oh my Goddesses." Ganondorf gasped.
Dear Diary,
Ganondorf hasn't attacked like we planned. All he wants is a trading opportunity between our people and his. How will I become the most famous princess in history if he doesn't attack? It's a good thing I have a back up plan.
I sent a guard to different towns in the kingdom. He is spelled to look like Ganondorf. The man will demand the spiritual stones and then attack when they refuse. Mommy helped me with the spells. After the hero has gotten all the stones mommy will kill daddy and frame Ganondorf. That should work. Mommy knows what's best after all. Sorry Daddy. Mommy says that you'll live again once I reverse time.
-Zelda
"My thoughts exactly." Sheik said.
"I'll look into this." He said.
"Is there anything you want me to do?" He asked.
"Search both Zelda's room and her parent's room." He ordered.
Some rooms remained untouched and their rooms were one of them. They wanted to figure out what had happened but first they needed to get the kingdom up and running again.
"Yes sir." Sheik left.
Ganondorf sighed as he sat down. This whole situation was frustrating. He just hoped he could figure out what had happened.
(Sheikah Tribe)
Zelda/Sheik had run as fast as she could. It took a bit but she made it to the tribe. She dropped Navi off with a healer. She then went to Impa.
"What's wrong Zelda?" She asked knowing who the person really was.
"I was waiting for Link at the temple. Navi came out alone. Her wing was bent." She scowled. "Link had fallen asleep in the temple. While Navi attempted to wake him up she was knocked out. When she regained consciousness she noticed that Link was gone."
"Great." Impa sighed. 'Why would Link fall asleep in the temple? He should know better. Did he not rest before he went in? I hope not.'
"I left Navi with a healer." She said.
"Alright. I'll go through the temple." She said. 'I hope he's alright.'
"Okay."
Zelda left once more. While Impa knew that Zelda was impersonating her son she had no idea what really happened. Zelda didn't like how long Link had taken and knew it was Sheik's fault. Knowing that the Sheikah wouldn't listen to her she knocked him out and left him for dead. She knew that the monsters would kill him. She then returned to Impa and told her that Ganondorf had killed her son. Impa had no idea how Zelda treated Link or that she had lied.
The princess didn't care. All she wanted was to land the finishing blow on Ganondorf. Then she would be the most famous princess Zelda in history.
'You won't ruin this for me Link.' She thought.
(Next Day: With Link)
Link's whole body hurt as he woke. These days it was common for him to wake up that way. At least he didn't feel tired but he was hungry. Link slowly opened his eyes. The blonde realized he was in a dungeon. Dread filled him knowing his enemy had him. He then noticed his wounds had been tended to.
'Why would he do that if he's just going to kill me?' He wondered.
Ganondorf could have killed him when he was weak. Instead he had Link's injuries taken care of. It confused him. So far his mission to save Hyrule wasn't making any sense.
"Ah good you're awake." A voice said, startling Link. "Go alert king Ganondorf." He ordered the guard.
Link watched him cautiously. The man entered his cell and walked over to him. He put his case on the stand. He smiled at Link.
"Good morning. I'm doctor Ti." He greeted him.
Link gave him a nod back. He still wasn't comfortable talking to strangers. The Great Deku Tree made sure he knew what the outside world could be like and it was hard to remember he was no longer a kid.
"I'm going to look at your injuries." He said.
The minute he touched him Link flinched. The blonde wasn't used to non-harmful touching. Saria, old Sheik, and a few Kokiri's were the only ones to not hurt him. The doctor noticed, frowned, but continued.
"Well you're healing up nicely. Are you hungry?" He asked.
Link gave him a nod. The doctor stood up.
"I'll have some sent in." He said before leaving.
Link wasn't alone for long. Ganondorf entered the dungeon and stood outside his cell. The blonde didn't move a muscle. There wasn't much he could do anyway. The two stared at each other in silence for a bit before the redhead broke it.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
Link looked at him in shock. He never expected the man to ask him that. It was the last thing he ever expected to hear the man ask.
"S-sore." He managed to say.
"I'll inform the doctor." He said.
"I-i don't understand." Link admitted.
"If I enter the room will you attack me?" He asked.
"No." He wasn't stupid to try that.
"Dark?" The man called.
Link gasped in shock. A boy looking almost identical to himself walked in. The features were sharper than his own. His eyes were blood red and his hair was purple. Not a bright purple, dark purple. He also seemed to have little fangs.
"Yes master?"
"Go get a pain potion from doctor Ti and bring it back here." He ordered.
Dark left the dungeon. Ganondorf entered the cell. He sat down in a chair that was in there.
"I'm going to tell you what happened starting with my visit to the castle, okay?" He asked.
Link wasn't used to people treating him this way. When he was a kid there were a few but now people treated him either like a tool or a waste of space. He gave the redhead a nod.
"I am the first male gerudo in over one hundred years. My mother was the chieftess and when she passed away I became the chief. My people live in the desert. Resources are scarce there. I contacted the king of Hyrule. I was hoping to set up a trade between us." He told him.
The blonde listened to him. It brought him back to when he first saw the man. Zelda had said he had evil eyes but he didn't think so. He thought the man had kind, strong eyes. He still saw that when he looked at the man.
"At one point Zelda accused me of trying to hurt her. A strange light hit me and all I felt was anger that I couldn't control. I went after her. Impa, her nanny had come in and saved her. I chased after him. Her father was murdered while I chased after Zelda. Her mother also died that day. When I saw you and you refused to answer me well I'm ashamed to admit that I couldn't stop myself from attacking you. I'm very sorry for that." He said.
Dark returned with the potion. Sheik hid until he was called. Link frowned as he thought over what the man said. It was hard since he had been asleep for seven years and he had trouble with his memory. To him it felt like a few weeks ago instead of years.
"Thank you Dark." Ganondorf said.
"You're welcome. Do you need anything else?" He asked.
"Go check on his food and bring it in if it is done." He ordered.
"Yes sir."
Dark left once more. Ganondorf handed Link the potion. The blonde recognized it thanks to the old Sheik. He downed the potion.
"Are you up for continuing?" He asked.
Link gave a nod. He'd hoped someone would tell him what happened while he slept and not the version the new Sheik told him. It contradicted what the old one said and this time he would hear it from the other side. Maybe Ganondorf would be able to tell him why one second he would see a run down castle and the next second he would see a well kept one. It was causing him to have a headache.
"Alright. I chased Zelda to the desert before I lost her. I then went back to Castle town. I suddenly had an overwhelming urge to get my hands on the triforce. Once I entered the Sacred Realm I regained control over myself." He told him. "I spent seven years trying to get the kingdom to thrive while also trying to figure out what had happened. Unfortunately my attention keeps getting pulled. Right now it is keeping the monsters from spawning in Castle Town. I'm closer now that I have help. One day I found the princess knocking out another in an area well populated with monsters." He said. "You can come out now."
Link was confused. He looked in the direction Ganondorf was looking at. A familiar blonde haired, red eyed male stepped out of the shadows.
"Hello Link." Sheik said.
"I knew it." Link said.
"What?" They both looked at the blue eyed boy in confusion.
"After I completed the Forest Temple I knew something had changed. You stopped caring about me and I noticed a few things. Your voice wasn't as low as before and the way you spoke changed. You seemed to have gotten shorter and the way you stood changed. Once in a while you had boobs and your eyes would be red one day and blue the next. I thought Zelda had taken your place but I wasn't too certain." He explained.
Sheik smiled. "I'm glad you knew it wasn't me."
"I'm glad it wasn't you." He admitted.
"Are you okay?" He asked when he noticed how much his fellow blonde was blinking.
"No." He said.
"What's wrong?" Sheik asked.
"One second I see the room in poor condition and the next second I see a well maintained dungeon." Link revealed.
The two looked at him. Ganondorf stood up and left. Link looked confused by that. Sheik sat down next to Link.
"He's going to get the doctor." He told him.
"Oh. So Zelda knocked you out?" He asked.
"Yes. Until recently I wondered why. Now I realize I wasn't getting you through the temples quick enough." He said. 'Stupid bitch.'
"I'm sorry." He said feeling very guilty.
"Not your fault." He assured him.
"Is he telling the truth?" The blue eyed boy asked.
"Yes."
Link frowned. "I see. What do I do now?"
"That is up to you. You can join Ganondorf and help us restore Hyrule. You can continue to fight Ganondorf. You can leave Hyrule and never return." He said.
"I don't want to fight." He said.
"I know. If you join Ganondorf, he won't make you fight unless you want to or it's an emergency." He said.
"Promise?" He asked.
"I promise."
"Okay. I'll join." He said.
"Good."
