A/N: Ahh! New chapter! RR :)

John POV

I rolled over, half-expecting Alex to be there. Except he wasn't and I fell on the floor with a large thud. "Ow…" I bolted awake and rubbed my head.

"Morning, sleepyhead," Alex said as he walked into the room with two bowls of ice cream. "Don't tell Martha that we are eating this. She specifically told me not to."

"Then why did you take it out?" I laughed.

"Because she told me not to," he said, shoving a bowl in my hands.

"Complete Lexi logic," I chuckled as he stuffed a spoonful into his mouth and plopped down next to me on the floor. "So what are we going to do today?"

"Um, I honestly don't know. We could just hug a lot this month or whatever? And casually flirt?" He shrugged as he shovelled the last of his ice cream in his mouth.

"Two things… one: did you legit just eat that in less than a minute?"

He looked down at his empty bowl. "I guess?"

"And two: that, I guess, is pretty much the only option."

He leaned over and pecked me on the lips. "You're right. Now, I'd like to get to my library, please and thank you," he said as he stood up and grabbed his bag and homework.

"Ugh, what time is it?"

"Like, 6:30."

"And why are we going so early?"

"So we have more time to, I don't know, torture our friends?"

"But I want to sleep!" I groaned, grabbing a pillow and smashing my face.

"Get up, you big baby," Alex yelled at me.

"No," I complained.

"If I told you that if you get up you can kiss me, would you get up?" Alex said. I picked the pillow off of my face and saw Alex towering above me.

"That's a yes from me," I exclaimed as I stood up and placed my lips on Alex's.

"Can we leave now?" Alex pouted.

"Can I get ready so I don't look like a maniac?" I grumbled, heading towards the bathroom. I replaced my old sweatshirt with a different sweatshirt.

Right before I was about to apply my makeup, Alex stopped me by placing his hand on top of the bottle and said, "Don't. Personally, I think you're freckles are adorable."

"But my father--"

"Forget about your dad, okay? He's a piece of shit and he shouldn't change who you are," he said softly, placing the bottle in my backpack. "Apply it at the end of the day so it looks like you did wear it."

"You're an evil genius." I placed a kiss on his lips and fixed my ponytail.

"I know I am. Now let's go grab a coffee and go to schooooool," Alex grabbed my arm and pulled me down the stairs and out the door.

"Lexi, what if no one else likes my freckles? What if they hate me for keeping this from them for so long?" I started to name every possible thing that might go wrong at school today. "What if--"

"Stop whining, you're fine. I've known Peggy longer than Eliza and Eliza knows about ten times more secrets than Pegs does."

"Okay, whatever you say…"

We got into a normal, casual conversation about all the stupid crap Peggy did before I came here. We ordered our drinks and set off towards the high school. My personal favorite stupid thing Peggy did was when she picked a lock at the school and trashed the classroom and never got caught. W were continuing our conversation when I felt someone nudge my arm. "Hey, you two! What's up-- oh my gosh, Laurens! Your freckles are so cute!" Angelica asked. She was wearing another pink outfit.

I blushed as Alex stabbed me in the side with his elbow. "Thanks," I said.

"Anyways, what's up?"

"Eh, we grabbed coffee, that's pretty much it," Alex said, taking another sip of his latte.

"Wait, like a date?" Angelica's eyes lightened up with excitement.

"No? It's just coffee," I said.

"Hmm, riiiiiiiiiiight."

"Angie, we aren't dating," Alex said sternly.

"Riiiiiiiiiiight." She glared at Alex with a smirk before walking away, calling, "Bye lovebirds!"

I groaned. Alex giggled. "Well, just gotta convince Angie that we aren't dating now."

"That's gonna be hard," I said.

"Come on, the library just opened," Alex said, tugging on my arm.

"Lexi, you are acting like a three year old trying to convince their mom to go into a candy store," I giggled.

Alex walked ahead of me on the way down the hall to the library the entire time. "Hurry uuuuuup!" He whined.

"You should slow down!" I rolled my eyes.

"Ugh why are you so --"

"Bonjour, mon amies!" Gilbert called from the hallway.

"Oh, hey Laf," I greeted.

"Bonjour," Alex grumbled, glaring at me.

"Mon ami, your freckles! I like them!" Laf pointed out.

"Thank you, Laf," I grinned at Alex.

"What are you doing 'ere so early?"

"This asshole wanted to go to the library," I rolled my eyes, giving Alex a wink in the process. He smiled back.

"Yeah, well, this asshole here wanted to sleep in," Alex pouted.

"Mon ami, Laurens is right. Sleep more," Laf said, walking with us to the library

"Oh, sure," Alex rolled his eyes. I giggled.

"Now, Laurens, tell me why you never told anyone about your freckles before? You look cute with them," Gilbert stated.

"Actually, John told me before anyone else," Alex said.

"Huh? Who's John?" Lafayette asked.

Alex froze and stared at me with regret. "It's fine, Lexi," he relaxed a tiny bit, "John is my real name."

"I thought Laurens was your name," Lafayette scratched his head.

"That's my last name. I preferred Laurens before, but I'm fine with John now," I explained.

"Ah, I get it. Kind of like how you call me Gilbert or Lafayette," Laf said.

"Yeah, kind of," Alex said, opening the library door and greeting the librarian.

As we had our little conversation, our phones exploded with messages in the group chat.

MissIgnored: SUP BITCHES WHOS READY FOR A TEST CAUSE I NEED HELP ASAP

MacaroniMan: study like a normal person the night before Peggy

MissIgnored: DO I GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOUR THOUGHTS THOMAS SOMEONE HELP MEEEEEE

HorseDude: pegs where are you

MissIgnored: UNDER THE OAK TREE NEXT TO THE COURTYARD

"Oh my god, Peggy," Alex groaned.

"We should help her, I guess," I said.

We ran out of the library with Lafayette in front of us. We found Angelica, Eliza, and Herc comforting Peggy who was hyperventilating underneath the oak tree, hugging her legs to her chest while rocking back and forth. "I'm going to fail, I'm going to fail, I'm going to fail, I'm going to fail," she chanted.

"Peggy! Are you okay?" I asked.

"I'm going to fail this test, Laurens! What do you think?!" Peggy screamed.

Lafayette kneeled besides her and calmed her down, "Peggy, you'll be fine. It's just one test," he said simply.

"But I'm going to fail my class if I don't pass this test!"

"Peggy, we'll help you study. It's that simple," Alex said, crouching next to Eliza and Angelica. The two sisters nodded in agreement.

"Okay," Peggy relented.

After a half-hour of helping Peggy study, she finally understood the subject. "Thank you guys so much. I couldn't have done it without you," she thanked us.

Angelica and Eliza stood up to go to the library while Lafayette, Herc, and Alex all left to go to Mr. Washington's classroom to suck up to the substitute. I helped Peggy stand up and we headed over to a picnic table in the courtyard to talk. "So, how are things going with Alex?"

"Oh my god, Peggy, not so loud!" I whisper shouted.

"Sorry," she whispered, "Hey, those freckles look so natural! Can you teach me how to do that?"

"Oh, um, they are natural."

"They're WHAT?" Peggy shouted.

The vice principal glared at Peggy for shouting and Peggy responded with, "Yo."

I snorted.

"Now tell me why on Earth would you hide those freckles?"

"Self conscious."

"Okay… what are you doing tonight, anyways?"

"I don't feel like doing anything tonight," I mumbled as I rummaged around my bag for my sketchbook and pencils. Peggy shook her head.

"You need to tell him how you feel, Laurens!" Peggy whined.

"Eh… oh also, um, you can call me John, you know," I noted.

"Wait, that's your name? I knew Laurens was your last name," Peggy rambled, "Wait does Alex know?"

"Yeah, I told him first. He said I should tell everyone else," I said as I started to sketch a turtle. Peggy froze.

"You told Alex first? Okay, okay, okay… two things here. One, how DARE you tell someone before me, and two, OH MY GOD. How did you manage to tell Alex first?" Peggy gaped.

"I don't know…" I shrugged. Just then the bell rang and we headed off to class.

Alex POV

This is hilarious. John is an evil genius.

"Hey, John!" I chirped and plopped in my seat next to him.

"Hi, Lexi!" He said, flashing me a big, yet adorable, smile.

"What's with the pet name?" Eliza pried.

"Hm? Oh, that's just a little nickname I gave him," John said simply.

"Then why can't I call you Lauren?" I asked, giving a cute little pout. John let out a little giggle.

"Lexi, I call you Lexi because you hate being called Lexi," he said, "and I personally like being called Lauren."

I humphed and playfully pushed John with a fake frown. He giggled.

"Are you two dating yet," Thomas asked without looking up from his phone. James just stood at his side looking at his shoes.

"Um, no?" John said as he and I shared a glance. "Though I wouldn't mind." He gave me a fake flirtatious smile.

"Oh, sure. Everyone wants to date me," I joked, inspecting my nails. I'm assuming that everyone knows his name is John and they all like his freckles.

"I thought it was the other way around," John said, tousling my hair. I swatted him away with a playful smile. Peggy was about ready to pull her hair out.

After school ended, I caught up with Alex. "Hey, Lexi," I said, looking around to see in someone were around. Since we were in our secluded corner in the corner, I kissed Alex quickly.

"Hey, not in public," Alex looked around the library to see if someone were eavesdropping. He pecked me one more time before saying, "Doesn't matter."

"Come on, let's go," I whined.

"Relax, you big baby."

Once we reached Alex's house, we giggled while running up the stairs and locked Alex's door. Before I could even turn around Alex was kissing me. Stopping for a breath, I breathed, "Just can't get enough, can you?"

One more kiss before he said, "Never, John."

We opened our backpacks and started our homework. It was another half hour later when Alex groaned. "I'm never going to finish this essay!" He whined.

"Babe, this is the millionth time I've told you to take a break?" I rolled my eyes.

"But I CAN'T! This is due in three weeks! I heard that Charles Lee--" I shut him up by kissing him. He leaned back as I leaned forward. He kissed back almost immediately and giggled as I ran my fingers through his hair, undoing his ponytail. As we deepened the kiss, he also undid my ponytail.

I don't know how long we were making out for but we stopped abruptly when someone from the doorway said, "Holy FUCK!"

Peggy POV

HOLY SHIT MY DAY HAS TAKEN A TWIST.

Today I was having a breakdown because I forgot to study for my test and Thomas wasn't being the nicest about it. Alex helped me the most with studying while John helped with my psychological state, so I decided to follow them to Alex's house to thank them and hang out. They locked the door because I know Alex likes his privacy and what not. So I did what any other normal person would do; pick the lock with my bobby pin. I thought they would be doing homework like they normally do. What I did not expect was Alex and John MAKING OUT in Alex's bedroom.

"Holy FUCK!" I yelled out of shock.

The two pulled apart in less than 0.2 seconds with Alex falling backwards. John immediately helped Alex up saying, "Babe, you okay?" I have no idea how but my eyes magically got bigger. "What the hell, Peggy? How did you get in here?" I held my bobby pin up.

"Peggy! I told you to stop doing that!" Alex yelled.

"Wait, she's done it before?" John asked, whipping his head towards Alex who nodded.

"Now I would like to know why you two were making out," I said calmly.

"U-um, well," John started but was cut off by Alex kissing him.

"Does that explain it?" Alex asked, annoyed.

"No!" I whined.

"Okay, fine! Alex and I confessed feelings for each other and started dating last night. There, good enough?" John yelled, hair all screwed up.

"One more thing," I started, "Why did you say you weren't dating at school?"

"We are trying to have fun and torture everyone," Alex said.

"Ooh, I want in," I giggled.

"Um, okay?" John said.

"I know; how about we call this incident forgotten and pretend it never happened?" Alex said while waving his hands around.

"Fine. I will do my best to keep my mouth shut," I growled.

"Thank you. Now, can you leave?" Alex rolled his eyes.

"Fine. Thank you anyway for helping me this morning," I waved a goodbye and set off to my house. Before I could even shut the door, however, I heard Alex ranting.

"Oh my god, John how are--" Alex was cut off by John, presumably by kissing him. I chuckled as I closed his door, making sure to lock it.

I forgot my bobby pin in his room.
