Sorry for the delay, I'm a slow writer and I'm very lazy. I left r/OreGairuSNAFU because it was simply a dumpster fire. Not only was it boring I got a lot of dm's from yui stans telling me to stfu. So to cope with that I used my alternate account to browse through the sub (I want to be anonymous). Although I may not be as active like before, I frequently comment.
Its been a few months after the club got reinstated, yet the lingering feeling that things didn't remain the same never seems to get out of my mind.
Yukinoshita and I sat beside each other. The distance between us was something I thought I had gotten accustomed to, but repeatedly, I'd notice how close we were.
Feeling flustered, I darted my eyes around the room, only to make eye contact with Yuigahama. That awkward moment left me unable to utter a word, and she quickly averted her eyes.
I felt ashamed at my absentmindedness and tried to play it off with a smile. How naive of me to assume that things would just stay the same.
Every now and then, Yuigahama looked at Yukinoshita's expression, her own face darkened more and more, and to hide that she occasionally formed a smile in vain. Her eyes narrowed and were getting stormier by the second.
It seems that she acted too out of character which then resulted in irohasu~ and Yukinoshita questioning her.
As I listened to her struggling to play it off, an uneasy feeling welled up inside. Similar to the one when the club got reinstated.
After successfully making an excuse to leave the club, she stood up feverishly, yet firmly and quickly grabbed her bag and made her exit, passing the gates of the chestnut colored room, she turned violently and said her goodbye's to everyone.
Although she was smiling, it irks me to notice that she wasn't happy at all. In contrary to her artificial smile, the person next to me gave a warm gaze, filled with sincerity and kindness. After the gates slowly closed the tense atmosphere I felt dissipated, sighing I then assured myself that if that day ever comes, I would reject her, without bending words and logic.
As time flowed by, the time came when it marked the end of our day, breaking the sanctuary warmed up by the essence of youth. Standing up, I left the clubroom with her, as my sister erratically waved her hands, we slowly neared the school gates.
The next update would probably come in 2 weeks or so.
