Thursday
At training ground seven team seven all appeared around the time of five in the morning. Naruto was sitting quietly against a tree practicing his katas that his father had for him in his scroll the style he was slowly learning was called dragon fist. Sasuke stood some ways away from him watching skeptically. the boys form was sloppy and uncoordinated. he was obviously just learning the style. however, despite his skepticism he had a hint of a smile on his face. he hoped that he could learn more about his 'cousin' (No matter how crazy the fact may seem to him) he also was kind of nervous seeing him. this was Sasuke' s first time even seeing a family member since the massacre. knowing he had a survivor right before his eyes was... breathtaking for him
"seeing what sensei did Monday he'll probably do it again. there's no telling when he will show up" Sakura said as she noticed the odd way Sasuke was looking at Naruto. the Uchiha then turned to her and nodded.
'I guess we should just relax until then.'
so, as Naruto was silently practicing his katas the other two waited for a good three hours before the man even showed up. Sakura fell asleep waiting for the man. when his presence was known she instantly stirred awake. obviously, a light sleeper Kakashi noted.
"Alright guys gather around as I explain some things to you and remind you that we are already a squad on Hokage's orders. However! this is a test on your shinobi skills I will be giving you all harsh training anyway, but it will be even harsher if it's not up to my satisfaction. you must survive me for three hours if your knocked out or captured then you obviously fail. however, sense I'm one of the top Jonin in Konoha I won't go as hard on you as you might believe but I will push you. do you have any questions?'
the three of them were silent. which provoked Kakashi to speak again. "Good. I also want you all to come at me with the intent to kill. anything less then that I will know and punish you for it. Naruto. since you haven't killed anyone, yet I want you to try your best."
Sakura giggled a bit seeing that Naruto was still the underdog in their generation since he still hasn't killed anyone yet. however, by the looks of his eyes it shouldn't be a problem. she could since great power within them.
Sasuke scoffed as he vanished obviously starting without the three. the other two shortly vanished as well giving Kakashi a good intake on their speed. Sasuke the fastest and Sakura is surprisingly the slowest. I thought Naruto would be the slowest due to the few lessons he had however they had good core Genin speed. but they will need to be low Jonin in speed before the hokage even thinks about letting them in the field. it's even more dangerous now due to the tension between the great lands. Kakashi sighed before he also vanished from the clearing
Sasuke watched Kakashi as Kakashi stood in the clearing. keenly his Sharingan was already active. three tomes in each eye. The boy trained his speed religiously and he watched and studied ninja battles since he could remember from his fellow Uchiha's. Thanks to all this Sasuke was able to effectively dodge a blow that came for his neck.
"Good reflexes Sasuke kun." Kakashi said kicking the boy in the stomach and sending him into another tree. The Young Uchiha planted his feet against the tree firmly effectively sticking there. His hands blurred as he sent five shuriken at his unmoving sensei. Kakashi flipped through hand sign in a blur.
"Futon: Kaze suiryoku (Wind thrust)" Wind erupted from the Jonin hands stalling the thrown shuriken for a second before they were launched back at Sasuke doubling the speed. Not fazed Sasuke launched himself high up over the attack watching from his puriffial that the knives wedged deep into the tree. Before the kid could descend onto another branch Kakashi was on him. Slamming his fist into the boy's cheeks. Stunned Sasuke fell a few feet below before his hand latched onto another tree sliding down to ground level. Looking up Sasuke was easily able to pinpoint Kakashi.
"Katon: phoenix flower no jutsu." Miniature balls of fire shot from the Uchiha's mouths homing in on his teacher. these fireballs may be small but the Uchiha made sure he had packed enough chakra to make them explode on contact. wood busted into splinters making the wood shower down to floor level in flames.
Like a fly the man dodged and weaved through the flames easily Throwing precise kunai. But Sasuke wasn't letting up on the jutsu sending wave after wave of fireballs to the man as he slowly got closer to him. Once Kakashi was in arm's length of the Uchiha. the Uchiha jumped over a sweeping kick then twirled in midair delivering a drop kick to his sense. Kakashi slid smoothly to the side letting the kick fly past him. he then instantly grabbed the boy by the neck hoisting him up to eye level. "Very good Sasuke. you are easily able to adapt in a fight. thanks to your Sharingan no doubt. I wonder... what did it take to unlock those eyes of yours?"
Sasuke growled using his legs to kick off the Jonin. Kakashi amusingly decided to let the boy go. The Uchiha landed gracefully on his feet. "I unlocked these eyes when my brother killed my mother and father in front of me. You want to test my abilities? This was the last jutsu father taught me. Katon: Furēmukurōku (Flame cloak)" The temperature around the two begin to rise at incredible heights making it a little harder for Kakashi to breath. He watched as orange chakra began to pour out of Sasuke in waves. Kakashi's eyes widened at the chakra output the boy was throwing around. 'His chakra reserves is easily high Chunin... this boy...' Before Kakashi could finish his train of thought the position where Sasuke stood exploded in flames burning everything that was in its way. Kakashi guarded his face from the heat wave but however was safe.
he was itching to reveal his Sharingan but decided against it. at the end of the day Sasuke was still a green Genin compared to a seasoned veteran. the fire still burned and grew. hungrily consuming anything that was in its way - and not naturally. Kakashi was able to sense that the boy was still pushing out his jutsu in a kneel. obviously in concentration. in the center where Sasuke stood he was also lit aflame making it impossible for someone to get in close. 'By the time anyone do get close to him they will surely be burned to ashes. only water or lightning could possibly take him out sadly all my lightning techniques are lethal. and I do need to take out these flames. a forest fire is bound to take place at the rates he's going'
Sasuke then stood up with his body now lit aflame with anger in his eyes.
Kakashi noticed that there were poofs of white smoke going off in the burning wreckage.
'clever Naruto. I didn't even know you were so close your getting good at concealing yourself. Anyway, I guess I should get rid of the fire... Sasuke won't like this.'
"Suiton: Mizu kasukēdo (water cascade)
Water spewed out of Kakashi's mouth like a rapid river the freezing cold torrents of water smashed against the heavy breathing boy. "Gaaah" his body moved wildly as he desperately tried to replace himself with something. his back slammed against a tree knocking the last little breath out of him. he moaned in pain doing his best to move but he failed miserably. "Agh! my ribs!" Sasuke shouted. his Sharingan picked up fast speed movement heading his way and with all his will power he rolled to the side as kunai struck the tree where he was last at. Sasuke was face down panting heavily. he was barely conscious. he heard faint footstep growing closer to him, but he couldn't act on it.
Kakashi sighed as he looked at his 'little Genin' "Your pain tolerance is way too low. I think Naruto can take a little bit more of a beating. with time I will have you where you need to be... You also need higher reserves of chakra. That last jutsu you've used was rather impressive but besides my water jutsu you wouldn't have been able to keep that attack up for long... No doubt your father taught you that jutsu for you to grow into it. and for you too you use it only when facing multiple enemies... the Uchiha were always the heavy hitters in Konoha...have lots to work on the next upcoming for now rest."
When Kakashi looked the boy over he could already see that the boy was out cold. He summoned a shadow clone to take the boy to the hospital so that the med nins could treat his wounds.
"Now, where is the little haruno?" as soon as he said that an arrow sliced through his arm. Kakashi's blood flew everywhere. Eyes widened in shock he puffed out of existence.
"Fuck!" Sakura cursed. She was high up in some trees about two hundred feet out. with her scope she watched the short little battle. what she held was a long crossbow that was a dark green that blended well with her surroundings. She sealed it away in a scroll and hopped away fearing her position was given up. "He was easily able to take Sasuke out...And it was just a clone! I need to find a higher vantage point and locate the real Kakashi.'
Her since went haywire. just as she landed on a branch, she saw Kakashi already high above her throwing out a forward punch. Sakura jumped back from the man and held her arms out to him. a sturdy contraption wrapped around her wrists was revealed. it had a barrel slightly pointing out of the gauntlet. sending chakra there the girl fired causing a loud bang to erupt around the whole forest. the bullet instantly hit its mark causing the man to erupt in a cloud of smoke.
She turned around instantly jumping for cover behind a tree as she reloaded the gauntlet with another mini bullet. Silently she created three bunshins and they all including her rushed off to different directions. The original Kakashi was high up and saw this. 'Very good evasive skills. And that weaponry proves that she's a true haruno. Attacking my clone from such a distance is also truly remarkable. If that was really me, I would've been injured. and her long-range ability will work well with a close-range fighter like Sasuke. Training these kids will be fun.' after that thought Kakashi then began to make his way to the original.
Sakura panted as she finally slowed to a stop laying down and hiding underneath a cluster of bushes. "Bullets travel faster than sound. if I'm able to line up a shot I can take him out" She muttered.
"To bad you won't be able to line up a shot." Kakashi said from over her. he held her head with a vice like grip. flipping and throwing her into a tree.
in midair the young pink haired girl flicked her wrist the barrels shifting. pointed again at Kakashi. 'Bang' but faster than sound Kakashi shunshined behind her. surprised the girl rolled over to her back to confront the man but before she could fully roll over Kakashi yanked her by the ankles from her hiding spot. Kakashi then pulled out ninja wire and began to tie her. Once he was done, he looked down at the glaring and growling girl.
"Never fully lay down while hiding... but You're pretty good with a bow. If that was really me back, there I would've been hit with that first attack. That device on your arm is also extraordinary. But other than that, your pitiful in close quarter combat. Which is unacceptable. But I do understand why. Your clan focuses on creating projectile weaponry and uses their natural speed to evade and find a better position to attack. You were lucky in having me as your sensei." Kakashi created another clone that picked the struggling girl up.
" Now I will be back for you later. I got to find Wherever Naruto ran off too." Once the girl was gone with his clone Kakashi sighed as he slowly began to raise his headband. Sharingan spinning wildly he looked all around him.
"I can see you Naruto." Kakashi said. His Sharingan eyes picked up on fifty chakra signatures that surrounded him on all sides. They were all standing motionlessly around watching the copycat. It would have been quite eerie if he didn't come across things like this before. Other than that, he was truly proud.
"How are you able to see me?" they all asked masking the real one's identity. Kakashi pointed to his eye that held the Sharingan.
"My Sharingan. plus, I have some experience with this jutsu. " He simply stated. 'However, I didn't even hear him move. surely I would have heard something from him... maybe I underestimated him on this.'
All the narutos silently cursed at their luck. His mother did warn him about the Sharingan. "Nonetheless I'm very proud of you. You could've probably had a hit on me as well since I didn't have my Sharingan up. Now that it is activated, you're at an even more disadvantage."
Naruto began doing a couple of hand sign. "Hidden in the mist jutsu." Naruto whispered amongst his clones who also did hand seal however they didn't cast a jutsu they only did this to mask their identity. Mist began to roll in. It was unnaturally thick since there was no water source around. Kakashi's stomach slightly sank. He hated this jutsu. And to Kakashi it was abnormally thick it was usually a B to A rank ninjutsu which was measured by the thickness.
This was easily an A rank jutsu that Naruto cast. The Ōtsutsuki was easily able to pinpoint Kakashi thanks to his meditation and the deepness that his eyes could see through. He was sure Kakashi couldn't-
narutos mist began to get sucked in a mysterious vortex -black like portal. him and his clone's instant began to move in on Kakashi.
Once they made contact Kakashi was the first to strike thanks to his years of honing on his reflexes and six senses. He threw a jab that connected to one of the clone's temples dispersing him. he paused for a split second letting the two clones that was on each side of him get closer. Kakashi then jumped bringing his knees up to his chest hovering over the two clones.
not expecting this the two clones collided to each other instantly dispersing.
"good ninjutsu but your too sloppy to actually get a hit on me. I would also like to know how you could use that mist jutsu"
Naruto smiled to himself the ones that were attacking Kakashi answered him in conjunction with one and other. " My mother taught me."
The copycat then whipped out two kunai and did a chakra enhanced dash that cut through multiple clones easily ripping them up into smoke. like his Chidori attack but with only a kunai. He ducked, weaved, flipped and slashed at anything that was stupid enough to cross his path. But the horde of narutos kept coming. their battle tactics switching very often.
just before Kakashi struck a clone it dispersed prematurely. which made him replace himself suddenly with another clone after a clone tackled him. 'Hess slowly but surely is picking up my style. He's learning my attack pattern I have to say that's a rather impressive kind of mind he has. to now always having me on the move. about a hundred of him now but still impressive.' when one was struck down two others replaced it. Kakashi however was not concerned. He knew he was faster than Naruto he was only testing his battle was able to pinpoint the source of where they were coming from. Behind a tree some ways away from him. smirking Kakashi disappeared in a blur appearing in front of the real Naruto. Kunai in hand Kakashi thrusted piercing the boy in the shoulder. The man frowned however when the blonde erupted in smoke.
"Nice replacement." Kakashi voiced. But the Jonin was tired of getting the run around so he figured he clear them all out in one go. Naruto instinctively pushed chakra to his eyes almost instantly sensing his sensei's chakra spike. his golden eyes easily saw the danger.
"Futon: Daitoppa" Kakashi yelled. instantly heavy winds erupted from the Jonin smashing and causing trees to creak and uproot as they headed to the small army of clones. with his eyes Naruto saw the jutsu come a mile away. him and most of his clones darted away from the huge walls of wind but the rest were unlucky. the blonde slightly panted and was shocked that he dodges that onslaught successfully. and his loss of clones taught him what he they've done wrong.
Kakashi's eyes narrowed at the turn of events. if he's a sensor then many elements of strategy in battle is given to us. Konoha had been given a gift. 'He must have sensed me using that attack. I only was able to take out thirty of those pesky little clones. only one way to find out.
"Kage-bunshin no jutsu!" Kakashi yelled. two other clones appeared on each side of him taking off in different directions. one ended up behind the small army of clones and the other two were stationed to the left and right of the blondes. all the Kakashi flipped through the same hand signs ending on tiger.
"Katon: gokayou no jutsu!" each clone had a huge fireball launched from his lips blundering recklessly towards the blonde jinchuriki easily an A rank attack. Naruto seen this coming a mile away as well. sensing the chakra build up before the jutsu was performed. But the blonde couldn't find any way out. the jutsu were huge and coming from all sides. Naruto's eyes clamped shut waiting for an inevitable impact. 'Why did Kakashi do this?' just as he closed them though his eyes shot back open. something clicking in his mind. "Benzaiten!" (Japanese God of wisdom)
Naruto's hands clasped together and did ten hand signs in a flash. a ring of water instantly erupted around him. it was like a vortex of water that spiraled outward and out of control clashing and hissing at the fire. steam and smoke rose giving the two cover from each other.
Kakashi was however better and appeared behind Naruto hitting a pressure point on his neck. the boy instantly slumps. Kakashi stood over him showing great surprise.
"Naruto...who?" Kakashi picked the boy up and disappeared
'cheap trick' the Kyuubi murmured to himself.
thirty minutes later team seven were in a hospital room where Sasuke was in. the Uchiha sat at the foot of the bed with his arm crossed as he looked at his Jonin with newfound respect. He enjoyed that little fight he had with the man even if he lost. The boy had copied two jutsu from the copycat and he couldn't wait to train on the techniques. 'A water style jutsu and a wind style jutsu. Even though my main elements are fire and lighting my Sharingan helps nullify my incapability of using other elements.'
as Sasuke was thinking of the possibility of having two new jutsu at his disposal Sakura was also thinking along the lines of training. ' He can help me with close quarter combat. How much does this guy could possibly know? Well... he is a Jonin like father. other than always being late this guy is tough to crack. And I got to learn that shadow clone technique! if I have that under my belt id have multiple positions to take out my targets.' Sakura inner self cackled madly and decided that she would ask for the man to teach her that jutsu the next time they trained.
Naruto shifted his weight every so often. He came across another path. Only this time it was very foreign to him he only knew ten hand signs after unleashing the path. the Kyuubi was oddly silent about it... 'I'm definitely training after we get done with this today. I won't stop till I can't move anymore. it will take hours but even with how long it takes me to tire I can easily see the progress. Before, when I used to train id still have high reserves of stamina, but the progression was painfully slow. Maybe it's my eyes now? Why are they golden now? My learning and physical training capabilities have improved at least by a hundred! and that jutsu I pulled off earlier... It's the most natural thing that I ever done.' Naruto frowned at the last thought. He didn't do any kind of training for that kind of jutsu. He saw it was cheating really. Being able to counter and even control any jutsu and to conquer the user to how he sees fit was crazy. These were two paths the Kyuubi only said spirit and wisdom
'Well this world isn't fair! being scrutinized by the whole populace of Konoha is a rather good example.' He thought. Naruto refused to allow himself to let these turns of events get to his head, however. He was still the underdog in his opinion. and he would break every bone in his body to remove that title if he had too.
Kakashi was sitting in one of the chairs that was positioned in the corner of the room that stood beside a window. as he looked up from his book, he noticed that his students were all in their own worlds. He chuckled softly as he clapped his book shut. getting the attention of the three kids. "Now today was a good day. I saw each one of your skills and I would like to talk to you about them for a bit before we call it a day. I'll make sure I'm quick it getting close too afternoons and I want you already for tomorrow's training. Also, for what the hokage wants out of you three you're not yet ready for. and two months won't cut it. we will be training for six months or until we are to the lord Hokage's standards." The copycat made eye contact with Sakura.
"Sakura You're a long to mid-range fighter. Your marksmanship is impressive with a bow. You were easily two hundred meters away from me when you've made that shot. That takes years of practice. If I was to guess your parents trained, you on aiming since you were able to walk am I correct?"
the pink haired kunoichi nodded.
Kakashi smiled at her. "We'll be sure to tell your father and mother thank you. This will make training you a whole lot easier. Ive also noticed that your good at escaping and regrouping for a Genin."
"But-" she started
Kakashi raised his hand silencing her. "I'm a Jonin a damn good one at that. so, don't feel down for me taking you down so easily. you've lasted longer than I expected, and you were also able to take two of my clones out unlike the other two"
Kakashi then thought of the incident he had with Naruto but wisely thought not to speak about it just yet
Sakura cheeks lit up in a slight pink blush at the praise. Sasuke' s eyes widened in shock with the new information and looked at the girl with newfound respect. only a little but it was still evident on the boy's face. he would have never expected her to have some use due to the way she would act back in the academy.
"But saying all of this you're taijutsu is nearly nonexistent. Proof of that being how easily ive caught and subdued you. Within these two months I will be giving you some harsh taijutsu training. one fitting of anbu so I will be seeing you every other day until the four-month time period is up. Is that understood?"
Sakura nodded. "Hai! But Kakashi sensei. I was wondering if you could teach me that clone jutsu. With that ability id have more vantage points to choose from and id be more slippery."
Kakashi didn't answer straight away. he thought carefully for his answer. "I will have to think about it. that jutsu is a kenjutsu for a reason. If you don't have enough chakra to create a clone you could die."
Sakura face went blue at the thought of dying. she seen people die before and it was never pretty. "Err never mind ill think of something else. I really don't have the best reserves."
Kakashi nodded. "And we will be working on that as well. Now Naruto Out of the three of you are the sneakiest I must say. using that jutsu of yours and watching your teammates battles without me noticing shows me you have great promise in concealing yourself. I will let you hone that skill on your own as I give you a few pointers. You also have high chakra reserves. The most out of you three. however, since you have very little combat experience you taijutsu are nearly nonexistent."
Naruto couldn't help but grin at that. causing Sasuke to grunt in slight annoyance glancing at the blonde but immiedetly stared with stricken eyes. 'His eyes are golden now' Sasuke thought in aww and uncontrolled jealousy. 'He thought he knew everything about the blonde. despite the glaring differences the two had. they were similar right? Seeing these new eyes however set something off in would have none of it! He was top dog. before he could think of anything else Kakashi spoke again.
"However, you have only two techniques that compliments your reserves. I will be teaching you ninjutsu for the next four months and we will both be studying on how those eyes of yours function. Also, your taijutsu is horrible. I will be teaching you that as well." Kakashi then thought of the incident with narutos last technique. He wouldn't tell the other too just yet, but he will forbid Naruto to ever using it again on a comrade. but he then came to a horrifying conclusion. Naruto didn't know what he was doing. that just that Naruto just pulled may as well have been a cough. that was scary. Kakashi didn't want the kid coughing like that. right now, he was a flight risk and he must always be watched until he could control it.
"Benzaiten is the god of wisdom Naruto. hopefully you could use it to understand what's going on with you"
the other two looked at Kakashi curiously and suspiciously. but the man carried on after that. "I also want you to be very careful to not show that jutsu off. if the wrong eyes see that technique then your life will be in danger. and you're not strong enough to throw back what this world could throw at you just yet. Not even that technique could save you from certain people "Naruto nodded which made the other two looks at him cautiously. This is when Sakura finally saw narutos new eyes. They caught her in a trance for a split second before she forced herself too look someplace else.
Sasuke eyes had a hint of sadness in them. 'He must have unleashed another power.' the Uchiha then scoffed. forcefully thinking about something else. Whatever it was the Uchiha was sure to be able to counter it.
Kakashi then turned his attention onto the next student.
"Sasuke out of the three of you you are the heavy hitter on the team... for now. by the time I'm done with you three you all will be some serious hitters. but back to you. Your reaction to my first strike was impressive. even though I didn't put my full speed onto that attack I can clearly see that you have exceptional battle experiences and peculiar reaction time. With your Sharingan you could read my basic movements easily. with time and the proper training, you will always be a step ahead of your enemy and by doing this I will be taking the time to fully develop your Sharingan and physical training so you cannot just visually keep up with your opponent but physically. Do you know how the Sharingan functions?" Kakashi asked.
Sasuke scoffed as he crossed his arm. "Of course, it functions as a weapon."
Kakashi nodded. "Yes of course but it's a little more than that. Your Sharingan functions as a muscle. The more you use your eyes the more visual prowess you will gain and the more chakra you will gain. Like always being a step ahead of your enemy. You could also put your enemy in a genjutsu trance, but that skill is something you will have to figure out on your own. A good way to always build on your Dojutsu is to always have it active. It may drain you at first for having it on for so long but in time your chakra reserve will rise because of the constant strain."
Sasuke looked at the copycat nin with curious and slightly suspicious gaze. "How do you know so much about the Sharingan?" He asked.
Kakashi sighed as he tiredly looked at the boy. "You really want to know?"
Sasuke nodded eagerly. "Very well." With one quick yank the Jonin lifted his headband revealing his Sharingan eye.
Sasuke gave out a sharp gasp as he rose from his seat. "How did you get the Sharingan!? How is this possible?" Sasuke yelled.
"My best friend was a Uchiha...before he died, he and my other teammate implanted his eye into mine."
Sasuke shocked and accusing expression turned into something slightly softer and regret. "I'm sorry. He must have really cared about you to do that."
Kakashi chuckled softly. " Not at first our relationship was like you and Naruto when we were first together as a team... His sacrifice for me will never be forgotten."
"What happened." Sasuke asked.
Kakashi didn't respond he looked at the wall of the room as if he was reminsing. seconds later his eyes flutter back into reality showing that the man was clearly bothered. "Maybe some other time. Now tomorrow I want to see you all at the same training ground at nine a clock we have another aspect of things to work on."
"What's that?" Sakura asked.
"Working as a team. Once a week we will be doing team exercise to better hone our battle style as a team. Individually you all have what it takes to reach high places in your careers but as a team I believe nothing could get in your way and if I have to beat that philosophy into you... so be it...and I will say this again what the hokage has in store for you three you will not be ready in two months. so instead you will be training for six months. anbu training." The man said seriously his killing intent rose slightly causing the trio to gulp. they all had mix emotions about this
"See you tomorrow." Kakashi then walked out of the door his head deep back into his book. Once the three of them were alone Sasuke was the first to speak.
"He is very powerful. I could tell that he was playing with me. as if I was a child." Sasuke grunted.
'You are a child.' Naruto thought with a roll of his eyes
Sakura nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah he was easily able to outmaneuver and capture me. I can't wait for our training it's going to be fun."
Naruto was silent, however. his thoughts were on a certain Hyuuga. 'It's about that time I saw her...'
'I'm leaving I have things I need to work on." Sasuke said coolly. glancing at the blonde before he turned to the door Sakura's attention went to the Uchiha.
"Are you training?" She asked. the boy only nodded.
"can I come with you? and train as well?" she asked timidly
Sasuke glared at her. millions of thoughts running through his mind in not letting her join him. but the Uchiha just grunted.
"don't slow me down!"
The girl gave him a firm nod before the two walked out of the room not giving Naruto a second look. The young boy sighed as he too made his way out of the room. seeing the two of them just turning the corner.
"I guess I should go visit Hinata-chan!" He mumbled.
Hokage's office.
"Ah! Kakashi kun! already back from evaluating your team I see. How were they?" the hokage asked filling his pipe up with gas.
Kakashi nodded as he sat in a chair that stood in front of the hokage.

Hiruzen eyes widened at this. "I see... There advanced technology surprises even me. and you know how the haruno come buy these weapons don't you?"
Kakashi shook his head no. "not the haruno always had a knack for creating their own materials to make special weapons and seals. however, they guard there knowledge religiously due to the fact how deadly their technology could be. I'm sure this was practiced to her since she was able to talk. However, like the rest of her clan she is only agile in the since of escaping. they tend to flee if caught or the position is exposed. I will have to make sure that she masters this and even if she does, I want her well prepared to handle whoever blocks her escape."
the hokage hummed to himself agreeing with Kakashi. "as a good sensei should. The haruno are very crafty and deadly ninja when they reach their prime however for them to grow, they would have to evolve in combat. most when children fail in die due to their low supplies of chakra when facing someone with higher levels of chakra. Be sure that she is ready for the upcoming war... Now... how about Sasuke?"
Kakashi nodded then began to reflect on the battle that he had with the Uchiha.
"He definitely has more experience than the other two. going out on missions with Itachi when he was younger no doubt has made a big impact on his ninja knowledge and skills. his chakra is high Chunin and control mid Chunin. His father taught him the flame cloak which is a high b to low A level technique depending on the chakra output you could put out. He is also the fastest out of the three. with what I can conclude. he is about low Chunin without the Sharingan and mid Chunin with it. With some experience and the training, I will be putting him through he will be able to see and counter high Jonin jutsu and speed. And his battle and jutsu repertoire will be low Jonin. "
the Sarutobi smiled. "So, you will be pushing them to anbu level. I am very proud to see that your so dedicated. I knew these group of children would spark those old flames Hatake. Anbu level training will do well with them. Now is there anything you can tell me about Naruto?"
Kakashi sighed. " That boy lives and breathes ninjutsu. I had to take him slightly seriously when he used that mist. however, it was smooth sailing after that. the boy like Sasuke has knack for coming up with things on the fly in a fight. good reaction time and has a steady understanding of what's going on in a fight." Kakashi paused.
"There must be more." the third demanded.
Kakashi nodded. "Those eyes are turning him into an anomaly. he unleashed a power that was very foreign before unleashing a jutsu that I couldn't copy nor counter head on unless I was to kill the boy."
"What happened." Hiruzen asked.
"Naruto countered three a rank fireball with what would seem like an s-rank water jutsu."
The hokage frowned. "what do you mean s-rank?"
Kakashi was serious as ever he wasn't
even looking at his book. "Like the incident that happened with Sasuke... he's unleashing kenjutsu. there no idea what negative affects he has on his body."
the hokage shook his head in the negative. " No. the Kyuubi will be sure not to have its host unhealthy. the boy will be fine. but it wouldn't hurt to have a medic look at him every now and then... maybe I should bring back his grandmother."
Away from Konoha somewhere hidden in the land of sound
A Boy that was probably at the age of fifteen stood calmly before his master. the room was very dark, but their trained eyes could notice the slightest of disturbances. The boy had pale white hair that fell to his shoulders, you could also see a dotted symbol on his forehead- It was the markings of a Kaguya.
"Yes, Lord Orochimaru?" The boy asked still in a bow.
The man named Orochimaru sat on his throne looking at one of his most loyal servants seriously. The boy before him was a very important piece to him. He found the boy in a cage when he was abducting children in the mist. The little camp he found him in was the Mizukages camp. Bloodlines in the hidden of the mist was a landmine of gold for the infamous sannin. He took over a thousand of kirikigare's people...but that's not what's important now. what's important was that he had to check for this one's wellbeing before he sent the boy out to do his bidding.
"Seeing that your heavy breathing has subsided You have recovered from the procedure. how do you feel kimmimaro?"
kimmimaro rolled his shoulders testing his mobility. hospitalized for years should have made him feel weak but the teen felt brand new. Something that was not normal.
"I feel good as new master." he stated simply.
Orochimaru eyed the boy for a bit longer for any symptoms but he could find none. he smiled wickedly. "I knew kabuto would be able to find a cure for you. very pleasing indeed. Are you able to go into your second state smoothly now?"
kimmimaro nodded. "Yes sir. I don't have the usual strain when I was sick. instead of the drain of chakra, I feel replenished when I'm in my second state. It takes a bit of a buildup of chakra to complete however."
Orochimaru sighed. 'That will have to do. It should be more than enough for what I have planned.'
"Kimmimaro. I need you to do something for me. it's very simple. All that I need you to do is confirm something for me. There is a blonde-haired boy whose name is Naruto. I want you to find him and watch him. also look into his eyes. If they are purple and have rings around them then that means he has a very important piece I must require."
"Do you wish for me to capture him?" Kimmimaro asked.
Orochimaru shook his head no. "No, I want you to engage him in battle. He's a freshly made Genin so it should be quick. the fight needs to be quick. Display your power to him stating that if you were to ever see him again you will have his eyes. and disable him in way. I don't need him getting any stronger. once that is done come back to me. the other four will be with you for protection and will stop any interference. However, do not enter the village the hokage has a close eye on the boy and I don't want him noticing our movements just yet"
Kimmimaro nodded turning at once. " Then I will gather them at once and take my leave."
Orochimaru said nothing else as he leaned back in his chair and watched as the boy left. once he was alone Orochimaru still felt a lingering presence. But just as he felt it was gone. ' So, the Akatsuki is moving as well... no matter. with this next body only the leader himself could stop me. kukuku and he wouldn't dare leave his home. however, that brat of a girl and grandmother is still out there somewhere... to be able to perfect such a jutsu in a way.' he licked his lips hungrily.
'She would be a perfect host. however, no matter what kind of planning id do they would instantly see right through it...yes, I will go after the boy. he is much weaker.'
six months has passed and within these four months Kakashi has been training team seven to the ground. Their growth rate was rather impressive too the Cyclops. Sakura's taijutsu training was splendid with her unique evasive skills Kakashi created a style that was based purely on speed and countering. Instead of just having Sakura focus on dodging and countering. he also beat into her a form where she could easily slip under someone's guard and slip in lethal attacks that could put any grown man down. She was at least a low Chunin when it came to taijutsu. her textbook skills and advanced learning skills did well for the pink haired kunoichi. Also, with her awesome chakra control Kakashi was teaching the girl how to suppress her chakra since she liked the idea of sniping from long distances. He also taught her the shadow clone technique stressing to her to only use three at a time in combat. the third and fourth month she began to finally study the apprentice level forms of her clan's technology. despite her sensei's eagerness she worked on it in secret. Kakashi was rather impressed as the days went on. at first the three Genin couldn't keep up with Kakashi's harsh training but as the days went by things got a tiny bit easier until they were able to build a fine individual foundation when it came to training regiments.
Kakashi's training with Sasuke was the harshest of them all. When Kakashi sparred with the boy he always made sure he gave him a little bit more then he could chew. The Uchiha wanted power so Kakashi made sure that he worked hard for it. and he did. his ninja abilities had also skyrocketed due to him having his Sharingan active eight hours a day till the point that the boy was able to read all of Kakashi's movements; the only thing however was that Sasuke couldn't keep up with the veteran physically so with that the boy started creating a style of his own and that was always being at least a step ahead of the enemy using ocular genjutsu and ninjutsu distractions and traps. his Sharingan was fully developed and he was well on his way to Itachi when it came too ocular powers. And with his sensei's broad knowledge of jutsu he had thirty jutsu that he mastered. all of them being katon earth and lightning techniques. His favorite styles however were the lightning style techniques because of how fast and quick to release them were. including the Chidori and a couple of variants the Uchiha was just as fast as lee was without his weights. high Chunin borderline low Jonin speeds. He loved the progress he was obtaining. he knew that if it wasn't for Naruto's godlike ability to learn then he wouldn't have been pushed this far.
Now Naruto however had the most improvement out of the group which changed the whole team's relationship with him. To counter any jutsu just by himself instead of using the full ability of the path of wisdom was one of his most favorite defenses. He instinctively called it the path of wisdom he didn't know why it just felt right. It was so good of a defense that Kakashi banned him from ever using it. he was only allowed to use it during an actual fight and one on one training to understand the full ramifications on the technique. at first, he didn't like the idea but as the training went on his physical capabilities in dodging and countering jutsu with other jutsu was inhuman. His speed would even surprise Kakashi at times when they sparred. it was just at low Jonin. Sasuke being a little slower than him. He took everything he learned from Kakashi like water. He had over a hundred of jutsu mastered and memorized. This was another path called Gakushū. the path of learning. Everything he read he mastered. Everything he practiced he mastered. When Kakashi learned that the boy had his mother's sword he was excited. It took him three months to master all five of her styles which was based on all the elements. In her scroll he picked up a few things on poisons and how they worked. he refused to delve deeper however due to what these kinds of poisons did to people. He was rather sick that his mom had this kind of knowledge. In her scroll she also had Sharingan techniques and how it worked. that's if he managed to unlock the Sharingan. With all that was left in the scroll he simply kept it in his left arm sealed away. One of his treasured mementos of someone that loved and cared for his well-being.
the next scroll was his father's scroll. What was in there was invaluable. Naruto found a gravity seal sealed away in a storage seal. reading the instructions on how to put it on the boy was well on his way. There are a hundred levels that's on the seal. the twelve-year-old boy weighed 120 pounds but with the seal on the first level his weight doubled making his weight 240 pounds of gravity weighing down on him; and with each level his weight doubled. When he was first training with the seals, he did physical workouts for two hours straight. His stamina seemed to also be halved due to the constant weight and restrictions on his body. by the end of the second month Naruto managed to grow accustomed to the weight. but he didn't dare raise the level until he could move as freely as he was without the seal weighing down on him. It was well into the final two months before Naruto released the seal so he could get his stamina back in order since he used way more energy to move at such a speed without the seal being activated. The young prodigy also learned the rasengan in two days. when Kakashi saw this, he knew that the boy could learn and master anything he put his mind on.
Team seven's dynamics were also amazing with their teamwork they could give a low Kage leveled ninja like Kakashi to the test. and they even had a special spar with the Kage. with Kakashi backing them the old man was put to the test. the old man wasn't named the third hokage for nothing. it was very challenging for team seven, but they still lost.
Team eight.
Kurenia was a high Jonin she was well verse in manipulating the mind cause people to see hear, feel and taste things that weren't there. she mastered the art of stealth and misdirection. if she wanted too nobody would ever see who they were fighting or dying bye. the only reason she wasn't Kage level was due to others sharp since or bloodlines and even sensors. the woman was lethal. very lethal but she did lack power. however due to her uncanny intelligence she was well equipped to lead fresh Genin. she smiled softly when she thought of Hinatas who reminded of herself when she was trained by the infamous Uchiha Kushina.
But hinata was way more advanced than her when she was young. The girl was fearless in her missions. the bounties the Kage would give them went fluidly. she could easily see one mile out with her Byakugan but when it came to tracking a target it was nigh impossible to not be found. according to the little girl there's a residual mark of chakra that people leave behind.
Today was the day that team seven went on their first mission. And with the third hokage evaluation on the team he had something special for them and another promising team.
they were all gathered in the Hokage's office waiting patiently for the Hokage's orders. they stood at attention as the old man studied them. It felt like hours before the old man spoke.
"Kakashi. Kurenia. step forward please."
the two Jonin stepped away from their teams and kneeled in front of their Kage.
"today is the day that I send rookies to their first mission from the village. And if they fail, they will surely die...Having seen your teams fight and train personally I believe that your team is ready for something truly important for the future of Konoha and its allies. We may be the strongest village out there but with the combined forces of Kumo iwa and Suna on our heels we need an ally. two weeks ago, I received a very detailed report from someone. her name was Mei Terumi I believe. I now know why the mist has been below the radar. There has been a civil war going on there for years now. I want you to end this war by killing the Mizukage and all his officials. the council and anyone that supports him. team seven you will be working in the shadows to get this done. team eight you will find the resistance group and aid them until further notice."
the old man then looked at team seven." You should also know that theirs been suspicion that the mizukage is being controlled so do be careful of any outside parties."
When they all heard the old man's orders the room was silent for a moment before Kakashi spoke. "This is big hokage Sama. my team and Kurenia team could actually hold our own to a Kage level ninjas but sending us out to the bloody mist where there's usually only high Chunin and up? are you sure we are the right team for it?"
"Yes, there is someone your team is supposed to be meeting that will take well care of your short comings...Now will you accept the mission?" he said. his eyes were unwavering this was for a better future. for kiri and Konoha. And it was also time for Naruto to meet one of his family members.
"We accept hokage-Sama." Kakashi and Kurenia said in unison.
The old Kage smiled as he leaned back into his chair. "Good. you have two days before I want you gone. Do be careful out there. This is your first mission I know it doesn't sound easy, but I have high faith in you eight. Either help the refugees win this war. Or see if you could break the hold this mysterious nin have over the mizukage if not he must die. You will also be meeting a contact that will get you into these hidden bases the resistance has up. the man's name is momochi zabuza"
Kakashi and Kurenia nodded knowing the name and face well.
"Don't worry Hokage Sama team eight and team seven will make sure we get the job done." Hinata said. Her voice was filled with confidence.
Hiruzen smiled at the girl then waved the two teams off. "Good. now go and prepare for your mission
Kakashi and Kurenia then turned to their genins. "You guys are free to leave. prepare and gather as much as you can. seal them away in your scrolls and then we leave tomorrow morning." Kakashi ordered causing his team and kurenais team to exit the office.
"Naruto!" hinata called grabbing the boy by the hand to get his attention.
The boy smiled down at his best friend." Yes hinata?"
they locked eyes with each other for a moment studying each other. hinata looked into his now golden eyes in wonder. the black rings seemed to ripple with power as he focused into hers
"It's been two months since ive seen you Naruto. Your eyes have changed? their beautiful."
Naruto scratched the back of his head genuinely confused. " I don't know how but I can use three very useful techniques with them. one of them for some reason is a passive ability. but thank you I always thought your eyes were beautiful too.
the Hyuuga girl blushed "Not just that Naruto...your eyes before were filled with pain and confusion. but now you have the look of clarity and confidence about you. Youve no doubt gotten stronger. I'm very happy to see you again Naruto-kun."
Naruto looked at the girl and smiled. "Thanks, Hinatas-chan. Ive missed you too. when we get some free time how about we go out to eat."
The Hyuuga girl nodded a slight blush tinting her face. "A date?"
Naruto's eyes widened. Giving her another look. Seeing her in a completely different light. Everything about her was unique. He finally realized why he was so drawn to her. Everything about her was perfect. She was one of the top students in the class. Her genius topped even Sasuke. But with all that talent and riches she was still down to earth and cared for him when no one else did. and for that she would always have his loyalty. And that anything she wanted she would have.
"I-if you want it to be a date I don't mind. I just don't want to have to dress up for it."
She looked him in his eyes again silent for a second before she giggled. "That's mandatory Naruto. But let's just talk about this when we get back."
Hinata then walked off with a silent shino and a grumbling kiba.
Sasuke and sakura stood there giving Naruto a knowing but slight playful look.
"Let's go Naruto. we have a lot of planning to do." Sasuke said as he slowly ushered for his team to follow him. They both agreed and the two teams shortly ran errands preparing for something that Will began to shape their lives into something exquisite. or so they thought.
