Chapter 5

A few hours later Naruto opened his eyes, and he lazily stretched on the bed. He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt this rested. Living out on the streets for the last few months, you weren't exactly able to sleep well for fear of someone taking something that belonged to you, not that Naruto had very much to begin with, but that made just made him more protective. He had the feeling that he was going to like it here, he didn't have to be afraid for his life, or unsure of where his next meal was coming from. He was pretty good judge of character and he could tell that Sasuke's mother was sincere in her wanting him to be here. She had such a warm personality that Naruto couldn't help but like her. Naruto could almost imagine that his birth mother would like her too.

"Wherever you are, did you ever think that I would end up happy?" Naruto asked out loud. He didn't know anything about his parents, other than he'd been abandoned at birth. He hoped one day that he would have the opportunity to get to meet them. Every child should be able to know who their parents were.

"I think your mother always wanted you to be happy." Mikoto said quietly. "That's all a parent wants for their child, to be safe and happy. I think your parents would grieve over what you've been through. There's no way in hell that they would have wanted you to go through so much pain."

"I wish there was a way I could meet them." Naruto said quietly. "I just want to know why they gave me up."

"I'm sure you do, but sometimes they do it because they know they can't give you the life that you deserve." Mikoto said gently. "Perhaps that's what they thought they were doing for you."

"But it wasn't better, it's been nothing but painful." Naruto said. "What kind of parent does that?"

"They may not have realized that's what would happen to you." Mikoto said. "I can't imagine any kind of parent wanting their child to be hurt the way you have been."

"I just want to be able to meet them so I can ask what their intentions were." Naruto said quietly. "It's hard to think about them not wanting me."

"You're a sweet child." Mikoto said reaching out and gently touching Naruto's cheek. "I don't think they gave you up because they didn't want you, I think it's possible that they couldn't take care of you, so they made the best possible decision that they could for you. I know it hurts to think about that, but maybe they had no choice."

"I wish I could ask them, then maybe I would feel a little bit better." Naruto murmured.

"My husband is going to try and track them down for you." Mikoto said. "He's going to try and find out what's going on."

"I hope he can find something out, I hate not knowing anything. I'm always wondering why I wasn't good enough." Naruto said. "It's been hard seeing kid's with their families and knowing that I wasn't good enough to have a good family of my own."

"That's going to change from now on though." Mikoto said. "Because we're going to take care of you, you're not going to have to wonder about those things anymore."

"I really hope your right." Naruto murmured. "Because I think I'm going to like it here."

"Good, I can promise you that things are going to get better, it might take a little while for you to believe it." Mikoto said. "But your going to be okay."

"I really hope so, it's been a long time since I've felt safe and wanted." Naruto murmured and tears welled in Mikoto's eyes. She didn't think she would ever understand how someone could so easily raise a hand against the child in front of her.

"Well, let me tell you, we want you here." Mikoto said. "And that's not going to change no matter what. If anyone causes you any problems, just come to us and we'll take care of it. No one is going to mess with you and get by with it."

"I'm scared that Orochimaru is going to find me." Naruto admitted. "I ran away from his home, because I couldn't handle the beatings anymore. If he finds me, he's probably going to kill me."

"We won't let that happen. My husband will make sure of it." Mikoto promised. "You don't have to worry about that anymore, we're going to make you a part of our family and no one will ever hurt you again."

"I wish I could be sure of that." Naruto said. "But the way my life has gone, it's almost guaranteed that I'm going to be hurt."

"That's a pretty sad way for someone your age to think." Mikoto said gently and Naruto shrugged.

"It's been the only thing that I've experienced though, so it's kind of a sad truth." Naruto replied, closing his eyes and enjoying the feel of Mikoto gently running her fingers down the side of his face. He couldn't remember the last time someone had done something like this for him.

"I'm sorry that things have been so rough for you." Mikoto murmured. "I would do anything to go back and change things for you. No child should have to suffer so much."

"I'm glad that I ran into Sasuke and Itachi in the park." Naruto murmured. "If I hadn't I don't know what would have happened to me."

"I think fate brought you to us." Mikoto said quietly. "You were brought here for a reason. I think from now on good things are going to be happening for you."

"I hope so." Naruto murmured. "I've desperately needed something good to happen for a long time."

"Are you interested in playing on a soccer team?" Mikoto asked quietly. Naruto opened his eyes and turned his head to look at her before nodding.

"Soccer is one of my favorite sports." Naruto replied. "I think playing on a team sounds fun but I won't know anyone."

"It would be the same team that Sasuke plays on, so he would introduce you to his friends." Mikoto replied. "It would be a lot of fun, you get to be around other kid's your age and play the sport that you love."

"It does sound like fun. For the longest time all I ever done was clean up after someone and watch everyone else have fun." Naruto said.

"That was wrong of them to make you do that." Mikoto replied. "I expect everyone to pick up after themselves here, you won't be cleaning up after everybody."

"I think I can live with that." Naruto replied. "It will be a nice change from what I'm used to."

"When my husband gets home, I'm going to need you to talk to him about this Orochimaru person." Mikoto said gently.

"No offense to him, but your husband is scary." Naruto admitted. "I don't want to be alone in the same room with him."

"I'll have Sasuke or Itachi sit with you." Mikoto said gently. "But I can promise you that he won't do anything to hurt you. He only wants to help you."

"I think I can live with that." Naruto admitted. "Just adults that big generally scare me anyways."

"Fugaku is a teddy bear." Mikoto replied. "He really has a big heart for those that are hurting. He'll do everything in his power to make sure that your safe."

"He won't mind Sasuke or Itachi sitting with me?" Naruto asked and Mikoto shook her head.

"He'll want you to be as comfortable as possible, he doesn't doing anything to help you feel that way." Mikoto replied.

"I feel like I'm going to be a burden on you guys because I have so many issues." Naruto murmured.

"That's not your fault though." Mikoto told him. "We'll help you work through those issues no matter how long it takes."

"Why would you do this for someone that you don't even know?" Naruto asked.

"Because we recognize a child that is hurting and is in need of some help." Mikoto replied. "We want to make things better for you."

"I didn't think it was possible to meet people who were so nice, aside from the one that brought me ramen." Naruto said. "And it turns out he was an angel or something."

"I really wish you could have met him when he was alive." Mikoto said. "He was adored by all the kids he worked with. He had a heart for those who were hurting and he knew how to help when most other people didn't. I really think he was the one that guided you to us. Sometimes fate has a way of working things out."

"Fate didn't have much of a plan for that Iruka, to have him die of cancer." Naruto said.

"I'm thinking that Kami probably needed Iruka home earlier than most people were prepared for." Mikoto said. "He spent his life doing good for those that were around him, he deserved to have something good to happen to him. Sometimes the plan isn't easy to understand, but we have to do what we can with what we have." Naruto nodded, he didn't think he would ever understand what kind of plan would take a man away from those that loved him, just because the man had spent his life doing good for other people. It just left the ones that loved him to suffer without him? Where was the good in that? It wasn't fair that was for sure.

"Tomorrow, I'll take you to meet the soccer coach, I think you'll like him." Mikoto said. "Sasuke thinks he's funny."

"Who is he?" Naruto asked.

"His name is Kakashi Hatake, he also works at the school you'll be going to." Mikoto replied. "He's really good with kids, although lately he's had some issues, I think he'll get through them."

"He's not scary?" Naruto asked, he didn't want to be around anyone like Orochimaru.

"No, he's a good man. He wouldn't ever lay a hand on a kid." Mikoto replied. "He'll help keep you safe, he's worked in special ops before he retired from that line of work." Naruto nodded, he was pretty sure he could handle being around someone that could make him feel safe.

Once Naruto had drifted back to sleep, Mikoto stood up and headed for the door. She wanted to get another bed set up before nightfall, she didn't want Naruto to have to sleep alone if he was having nightmares like Itachi had told her about. Her heart hurt to think about all the pain that Naruto had endured. She really hoped that Fugaku would be able to find this Orochimaru character, she hoped that Fugaku would toss him into jail with no chance to see the light of day again. Naruto likely wasn't the only child that had been hurt at his hands, but one thing was certain. It was going to stop now, Mikoto would make sure of it. Naruto deserved some justice for what he went through, Mikoto would make sure that it happened.

As she headed downstairs, she heard the front door open and she paused to watch Fugaku walk through the door.

"How's the kid?" Fugaku asked and Mikoto shrugged.

"He's doing okay right at this moment. Did you find anything out about him." Mikoto asked. "He's been wanting to know about his biological parents."

"I did find out that his biological parents were murdered, the same night that he was born." Fugaku replied. "And to this day the murderer has not been caught."

"That's terrible." Mikoto said as tears welled in her eyes. She hated that Naruto's hopes were about to be dashed, she could tell how much he'd wanted to meet his parents. "But at least this wasn't a case of them not wanting him. He's been worried about that."

"I did find a few pictures of them for him though," Fugaku said, "it might not be much but at least he'll know what they looked like."

"I guess that's going to have to be enough." Mikoto said. "At least until the day that he is finally able to meet them. Kami hope he gets to enjoy a long life though."

"There's no reason that he won't, not unless he has some underlying health issues." Fugaku replied. "Which we might want to get him in to see Tsunade as soon as possible. He did look a little malnourished after all. Maybe Tsunade will be able to tell us if there is anything going on with him."

"He seems to be fairly healthy even if he is a little underweight." Mikoto replied. "But getting him a good check up is a good idea. I'll call and see if Tsunade has an appointment this week." Fugaku nodded.

"He told about a man named Orochimaru." Mikoto said. "He didn't mention a last name, but he did mention that this man was abusive towards him. Is it possible that this man might have had something to do with Naruto's parents deaths?" Fugaku frowned. He wouldn't have thought something like that was possible, but then again it was something worth looking into.

"I'm not sure." Fugaku said. "But I'll look into it, I'm not sure who Naruto went to after his parents deaths. I'll look into it though. The fact that Naruto mentioned a name of an adult that was responsible for his abuse is a good thing. At least he's not too scared to open up about what happened to him. Maybe we can get him to open up a little more."

"He seems worried about this Orochimaru person finding him." Mikoto said. "He seems to think this person is going to kill him if he finds him. So I'm wondering exactly what's going on with that situation. Is Orochimaru upset about Naruto's disappearance because he's afraid of Naruto saying something about what he was about doing to Naruto. Or was it something else entirely?" Mikoto commented.

"I don't know but I'll look into it." Fugaku replied. "I'll find whatever rock he's hiding under and deal with him. I'll need to speak to Naruto about what he's had to go through with him though."

"I told him that I thought you would want to." Mikoto replied. "He's open to it as long as there is someone else in the room. Whatever else the man done to him must have been pretty bad. He's kind of scared of you." Fugaku's raised his eyebrows as he stared at his wife. She shrugged.

"You're tall and can be very intimidating to a little kid." Mikoto pointed out. "You can't exactly blame him."

"I wouldn't hurt a fly." Fugaku replied. "There's no reason for him to be scared of me."

"Give him time to get used to you." Mikoto replied. "I'm sure he'll come out of his shell if you give him time."

"Maybe by putting that man into prison where he belongs and telling him about his biological parents will help gain his trust." Fugaku said thoughtfully.

"Maybe, I think it will go a long way in gaining his trust. He needs to know that he's going to be safe." Mikoto replied. "The poor kid has a lot of fear in him. I can only imagine what's going through his head all the time. This situation is likely very stressful for him. He's worried that Orochimaru is going to find him."

"That won't happen, even if he does find him, I won't let anything happen to him. He's been through enough to last a lifetime." Fugaku replied. "I'll make sure that Orochimaru's ass is nailed to the wall. He won't get near Naruto ever again, we have to find out what Naruto has against him."

"I don't know." Mikoto replied. "And I'm almost afraid to find out. I don't know that I really want to know, I don't think my heart could handle knowing just how much he's had to suffer in his life."

"Like you keep telling him, from here on out it's going to be better for him." Fugaku reminded her. "That's exactly what's going to happen. It might take a little while for everything to work out, but it's going to get better."

"You're right of course." Mikoto said offering him a small smile, "But Naruto wasn't the only thing that I wanted to discuss with you."

"What's that?" Fugaku asked, he was kind of hungry and a lot tired. He wanted to eat some dinner and go to bed.

"You know I haven't been feeling very well lately. I've been sick in the morning, and sometimes all day actually." Mikoto said and Fugaku nodded.

"I've been meaning to ask you if you went to see Tsunade about that yet." Fugaku asked. She nodded.

"I have some unexpected news." Mikoto replied. "It turns out that I'm pregnant. I'm about eight weeks along." Fugaku couldn't help it, he felt his mouth drop open. That had been the last thing that he'd expected to come out of his wife's mouth.

"I wasn't expecting you to say that." Fugaku said. "We never planned on having more than Itachi and Sasuke. I don't know what to do with another kid."

"We'll do what we done when we found out I was pregnant with Itachi. We'll take it one step at a time." Mikoto replied. "While it's unexpected news that doesn't mean it's bad."

"No, I don't mind another child." Fugaku replied. "As long as it's with you, I don't mind having ten thousand kids with you."

"I don't think we could afford that many." Mikoto said laughing, she'd been kind of worried about what he would think. She wanted this baby even if she and Fugaku had never planned on having another kid. She really hoped that Itachi and Sasuke would be okay with finding out that they were going to have another sibling soon.

"I wonder what the boy's are going to think?" Fugaku wondered. "I'm pretty sure Itachi thinks we're too old to have another kid."

"Well, we certainly aren't getting any younger." Mikoto pointed out.

"I can always take you into the bedroom and prove how young I still am." Fugaku said. "I think things are still working very well for me, otherwise you wouldn't be pregnant right now." Mikoto chuckled.

"Now's theres an offer that's hard to say no too." Mikoto replied. "But just in case Naruto has a nightmare, I would rather not be in a compromising position."

"We can always go make out like teenagers then." Fugaku suggested. "Does Naruto have a lot of bad dreams?"

"He did when he took a nap earlier." Mikoto replied. "Which is why it's a good idea for him and Sasuke to share a room for the time being."

"Itachi's right, we may need to get him into some therapy." Fugaku said thoughtfully. "The poor kid sounds like his young life has been pretty bad."

"Yeah, but we have the power to make it better, and that's exactly what's going to happen." Mikoto replied, as she reached out and grabbed Fugaku's hand. "I'll take you up on that make out session before I go get you some dinner."

Entering the living room, they walked over to the couch and plopped down. Fugaku raised his hand and touched Mikoto's face, he was thrilled about having another baby with his wife, he couldn't wait to tell the boy's that they were going to be older brothers.

"I'm excited about having another child with you." Fugaku said quietly. "I never thought I would, but I really do like the idea."

"Good, cause there's nothing I can do about it, not that I would change a thing." Mikoto said, and Fugaku chuckled.

"I really like how big your breasts swell with milk during pregnancy." Fugaku replied as he lowered one of his hands to her breasts.

"They're a little sore right now." Mikoto admitted. "Because they're starting to produce milk again. But I like for you to touch them."

"Good." Fugaku murmured as he lowered his mouth to Mikoto's, while his hand start to gently massage her breast. "Because I love touching them." Fugaku removed his hand only to slide it up underneath her shirt and bra, she shivered at the contact and Fugaku chuckled against her mouth.

"Are you trying to make me horny?" Mikoto asked, "Because if you keep touching me like that I'll end up having sex with you here on the couch."

"I'm pretty sure the boy's are too busy to notice what we are up too." Fugaku replied, pressing his mouth to Mikoto's again. There was something about knowing that she was pregnant again that was driving him wild. Pregnancy was a good look for his wife, he wondered if he could get by with keeping her pregnant? Laying Mikoto down on the couch, Fugaku covered her body with his, as he pressed his mouth against hers again. He loved feeling her flush against his body.

"I may end up taking you on this couch." Fugaku murmured. "Just knowing that I got you pregnant again makes me crazy." He ground his hips against Mikoto's so she could feel the evidence of what she done to him. She moaned softly, feeling his erection against her thigh. She wanted him inside of her, she didn't care if someone walked in on them or not, she wanted him."

"Take me." She moaned softly, "I don't care who sees, I need you inside of me." Fugaku nodded, and pulled away long enough to lower his pants and boxers and to raise her skirt up, and remove her underwear. Lowering himself over her, Fugaku lined himself up with her and slid into her, he moaned at the heat that surrounded him. He loved being with his wife like this, it was amazing that after eighteen years of being together that she still had the ability to make him want her like this. He hoped that it was a fire that would never burn out, he wanted always to be driven crazy by her.

"Fuck me like you mean it." Mikoto said softly, "None of that make love bullshit." Fugaku chuckled and pulled out before slamming back into her. She moaned softly and lowered her hands to his hips.

"Harder." She mumbled, and smiled as Fugaku accepted her request, and his thrusts came harder and faster, she could feel the building pleasure as Fugaku continued slamming into her. She, however, didn't hear the two sets of footsteps as they stopped in the doorway.

"Holy shit!" Sasuke's voice filled the air, and Fugaku paused and opened his eyes to see both Sasuke and Naruto standing in the entrance of the room staring at them. Fugaku's face turned red, he hadn't expected for things to get this heated from one make out session with his wife. It was safe to say that she still had the ability to drive him wild.

"We're kind of busy." Mikoto said. "What do you need?"

"Naruto was hungry, but I don't think that's going to be a problem now." Sasuke mumbled. "I think we've been blinded."

"I'll get you something to eat when I'm done." Mikoto said, barely able to surpress her laughter. She hadn't expected the boy's to walk in on them, but she couldn't help but find it funny. She couldn't stop the laugh as she heard one of the boy's trip over something in the hallway, but she heard a curse escape from Naruto's lips and figured he must have been the one to trip.

"We really blinded him." Mikoto said bursting into laughter once the boy's had left the room. She was sure they wouldn't find the situation so funny, but she sure as hell did. Fugaku laughed as he lowered his forehead to Mikoto's, his chest heaving with laughter.

"I didn't think things would go this far." Fugaku said, still chuckling, but he could feel his erection dying down. "I don't think I'm going to be able to finish." He said apologetically. She chuckled.

"I need to fix the boy's some dinner before they die of starvation anyways." Mikoto said. "We can always finish what we started later in the bedroom."

"Behind a locked door." Fugaku said. "I don't want to scar the boy's for life."

"Well, Sasuke was going to wonder where babies came from sooner or later." Mikoto said, as Fugaku pulled out of her and stood up. "Now we don't have much of an explanation to give him."

"That's not exactly how I wanted to have the sex talk with him." Fugaku pointed out. "I didn't intend to demonstrate what was done."

"What's done is done." Mikoto said sitting up and pulling her skirt down, she would have to find another pair of underwear to put on, but for now she should be okay. "It probably would have happened eventually you know."

"I would rather not have done that in front of Naruto, now he'll probably never get near me." Fugaku said. "It's not my intention to scar him any more than necessary."

"I think he'll be okay." Mikoto said watching as Fugaku pulled his shorts up. "I don't think that was enough to really scare him. He's been through a lot worse than watching someone have sex on the couch."

"I can promise you, that I'm going to catch that bastard that hurt him and toss him in prison, where hopefully the other prisoners will take care of him. Another thing we need to know is how far the abuse went, was it just beatings or did it include sexual abuse as well." Fugaku said. Mikoto grimaced, she hadn't given much thought to the fact that Naruto could have been sexually abused.

"I really hope that the abuse wasn't taken that far, but it would explain a lot of Naruto's fear." Mikoto said quietly. "And explain why he doesn't want to be in a room alone with you. This Orochimaru man must have been pretty big to have caused such fear in him." Her heart ached at the thought of a child being put through such a violent crime at such a young age. She prayed that the abuse only went as far as beatings. Although if it did turn out that he'd been sexually abused, Mikoto would protect him and get him whatever kind of help that he needed. He wasn't going to have to suffer through the memories of what he'd been put through.

"Whatever that man done to him; he'll pay a heavy price for." Fugaku promised. "He's not getting by with hurting him."

"I hope he burns in hell for what he done." Mikoto said viciously. "No one should hurt a child."

"I agree with you." Fugaku replied, as he looked towards the kitchen door. He was going to need to have a talk with Naruto about the things that he'd been put through, but he didn't think that was a conversation that should happen that night. He should give Naruto a chance to settle in before asking the hard questions.

"I guess we should go save the kids from dying of hunger." Fugaku said, glancing at the doorway.

"I don't think they'll be able to look us in the face for a while." Mikoto said. "Especially Naruto, that poor kid."

"I think he'll be okay." Fugaku said. "He'll get over it sooner or later."

"Let's just hope that Sasuke doesn't run straight to Itachi about what we were doing." Mikoto said. "It would be just like him to go to his brother."

"Something tells me, Itachi's the one we need to worry about more than Sasuke." Fugaku said, thinking about something his oldest son had told him.

"Why is that?" Mikoto asked. "He's got a pretty straight head on his shoulders."

"He does, but he's still a teenager with hormones shooting through him." Fugaku replied. "He gets a little hot blooded the same way we do." Mikoto frowned at him.

"What are you trying to say?" Mikoto asked.

"Itachi told me, that Izumi is about eight weeks pregnant." Fugaku replied, and Mikoto just stared at him eyes wide. That was the last thing that she had expected Fugaku to say.
