Hey Guys. Crescent Rider here, and I welcome you to my Kenja no Mago or Wiseman's Grandchild fanfic.
But before you begin. Here's are a few things you need to know about this story.
First of all, This is an Alternate Version of the Original Plot. Therefore, I will be writing my own chapters or scenes in my own way rather than following the original plot of the series or make a few changes of the original plot in my own discretion.
Second, there will be multiple OC Characters added in the Story. But I'll be focusing on my Main Character first before revealing the other characters second.
Lastly, My OC will encounter Shin Wolford and co. But his Interactions will be different since the former is secretly... On second thought, You'll know when you begin reading this story.
That is all and please enjoy the Prologue of the Story.

Village Ruins (Two Years Before the Present)
At the Entrance to the Village was a group of five hooded figures investigating the village ruin for any signs of survivors in the middle of a rainy day.
"Split up," The Group Leader ordered, "Find anyone that survived the demons' assault,"
"Understood!"
Five of them went to separate areas of the village and search for survivors.
The search went on for hours as they only found corpses in the streets or homes of every villager. All they could do was close their eyes and gathered their remains at the village entrance for their burial.
"I feel sorry for these people," A Hooded Woman said, gazing towards a young deceased child after closing its eyes with her hand,
Then the leader of the group went to her side and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"There was nothing we could do for them, Sofia," The Leader said with pity towards the deceased, "The only thing we can do is bury them and hope that they'll find peace in their life,"
"Ok..." The Hooded Woman, now known as Sofia, said as she stood up and walked her way to another area for any signs of survivors.
There she went inside a ruined house and found a corpse of a man lying on the stairs with his blood and guts splattered all over the floor and walls.
Sofia sighs with pity and closed the man's eyes as he was mauled alive by a demonic beast. She then decided to head upstairs and noticed a slightly open door at the right.
When she opened it, she saw a woman with her arm bitten off by a demonic beast, her body ripped apart, and lastly, her final expression was a horrified look after she had bled to death.
Sofia then approached the corpse, closed the woman's eyes and mouth, and puts a blanket over the body.
"The Two must have been married to each other," Sofia said in thought, then she clasps her hands together and prayed for them, "May their souls rest in peace,"
But just before she could leave the room. Sofia stops when she heard a baby crying nearby and immediately glances around the room.
However, the crying was coming from the closet and Sofia didn't hesitate to head towards the closet door, opened it, and gasped as she saw the baby boy crying in a basket.
She then cradled the baby into her arms and gently shushes him as she tries to calm the baby down.
"It's okay, little one. It's okay. You're safe now," Sofia said motherly, then glances at the woman's corpse, "She must have been the mother of this child,"
Eventually, The baby stops crying and softly snores in Sofia's arm as she smiles with relief.
"I better take you with me," She muttered,
Meanwhile, The Group leader and the other three regrouped after reporting that no soul has survived the demon's assault on the village. Which filled them with disappointment and remorse for the villagers.
"Damn it!" A Hooded Man shouted while kicking a rock away,
"Calm down, Bentley," Another Hooded Man said, "We don't want to attract attention to ourselves,"
"Alden is right, Bentley. Don't let your hatred get the best of you," The Leader said, "Otherwise, you might dull your senses and end up dead someday,"
Bentley breathes in for a moment then calms his nerves after he was ordered by his leader.
"Understood, Sir. Please forgive me for my behavior earlier," Bentley said,
"I understand. But in a way, I do agree with your words," The leader said, 'If only those nobles cared for these people instead of their greed. None of this would have happened to these poor souls,"
"I agree, My lord," A Hooded Woman said, holding a bunny doll on hand, "If only there were people like Oliveria in this world,"
The leader then glances towards the Bunny Doll and sighs anxiously at it. But soon he sets his priorities first and turns to them.
"I know it's tragic, Rianna. But right now, We better start digging some holes for these people," The Leader ordered, "The least we can do for them is bury them, give our condolences and leave this village before those demons return,"
"Yes, Lord Frederick," The three said simultaneously
But just before they could begin with this plan. Sofia was making her way towards them with the baby in her arms
"Hey, guys!" Sofia called out, "Look at what I found,"
The four of them turned to her and they all widen their eyes as they spot the baby in her arms,
"Where did you find him?" The Leader, now known as Frederick, said as he approached the baby boy,
"I found him inside a house. His parents were killed but somehow this one survived when his mother hid him inside a closet," Sofia explained,
Suddenly, The rain had stopped falling and all five of them took notice as they glanced their eyes towards the sky then back to the child.
"It stopped raining," Rianna pointed,
"Is this some kind of miracle? or a Coincidence?" Bentley asked, glancing towards the baby
"Either way, he's one lucky boy," Alden commented,
"Enough you three. We'll put this matter on hold for now," Frederick said, "Sofia, You will be in charge of maintaining the child's well being. As for us, start digging up some holes. It's time we put these souls to rest,"
Everyone nodded at his order and they all started performing their assigned tasks by Frederick's order. Sofia sat down a stump while she watched Frederick and the others work on burying the dead.
A Couple of Hours later, They all finished their tasks and left the ruined village with the baby in Sofia's arms.
The latter walked beside Frederick and somehow he smiled and gently ruffles the baby's head a couple of times.
"You know, I've always wanted to have a son of my own," Frederick said,
"If you want, We could just adopt him into our household?" Sofia recommended and made her leader chuckled at this,
"I suppose we could. After all, Aria is expecting a child in the next couple of months," Frederick said, "I guess her child can use some company,"
"You don't even have to ask," Sofia said,

A Small Timeskip will occur and a couple of OC Characters will appear in the next chapter.
And here's something else you need to know, I've watched the anime and read the manga of the franchise. But the story starts two years even before Shin's Reincarnation.
Next, The Baby's adopted name will appear in the next chapter as well and I will also work on the appearances of the OC Characters that appeared in this chapter as well.
Lastly, please don't flame this story. If you don't like what you are reading, Then you can drop the book and find another story to entertain you.
