He doesn´t even know that I exist

~Mukuro's Room~ Night

Mukuro Ikusaba was lying in her room sighing while everything was being processed in her head.

She was currently disguised as her sister Junko Enoshima, in a game where everyone had to kill each other, if they wanted to leave this "academy of despair", all orchestrated by Monokuma or to be exact... her sister, and partly by herself.

At first, she was more than happy to see her sister's dream come true, but currently it was just the opposite... she was disgusted, disgusted by all this, and especially frustrated at how things were going.

She sat on the bed clutching her legs with her arms, thinking about everything that happened during the day.

~Academy Hall~ A few hours ago.

After they met at the entrance and formally introduced each other, no one remembered anything, no one knew each other, nor seemed to see any hint that they could recall anything from the past 2 years, she didn't seem to mind at first, but a taste bitterness formed in her mouth, and her doubts were clearer when he appeared.

Makoto Naegi.

The only person who showed him a smile.

The only person who seemed to notice her in her entire life.

The only person Mukuro herself knew was in love.

At first, she didn't want to believe in that feeling, she thought it was wrong to have feelings for someone other than her sister...

But now she felt a needle in her heart when Makoto greeted her without even recognizing her.

As much as she longed to be closer to him, she knew that something like that was simply impossible.

After leaving the gym when they met their "director" Monokuma and retaining the urge to behead Mondo for hitting Makoto, Mukuro decided to go straight to her room and wish the bad taste in his mouth would disperse over time.

To those who are currently taking us.

I look around her room, seeing everything in it. It was decorated with wigs, makeup and some stuffed animals of rabbits, she did not even like this room, but Junko told her that if someone entered the room and found things that did not apply to a supermodel the whole plan would be fail.

She missed her weapons, she didn't like anything in this room, not the wigs, not the makeup... maybe one of the stuffed animals that reminded her of Makoto... or rather Makoto reminded her of a rabbit.

"he doesn't even know I exist..." she finished whispering when she remembered that her sister might be seeing her.

'Does this mean… that we are no longer… a couple?' she finished thinking while a tear threatened to come out.

Decided lie on her bed and prepare for tomorrow.

~Mukuro's Room~ Tomorrow

Apparently, everyone decided to meet in the dining room after the Monokuma announcement every morning, or so she thought when Ishimaru knocked on her door to tell to go to the dining room.

Mukuro was awake even before such an announcement was issued, but she wanted to stay in her room and prepare for the day, knowing that the bad taste in her mouth would come back, and worse still, to feel something piercing her heart whenever she saw Makoto.

Deciding that she was late enough not to be suspicious and mostly prepared for whatever her sister comes up with, she headed out into the hall toward the dining room.

~Dining room~

They were all here, many with different looks.

Some in fear, others acting cautiously, others taking it as a joke... even though it was just one and others in simple confusion.

She gave a quick glance to all her companions, but quickly avoided contact when her eyes met Makoto's, she quickly looked away, but quickly saw again where she was seeing him speak to Sayaka.

Mukuro did not like Sayaka, she has always been jealous of how close she has always been to Makoto, Sayaka has found a way to monopolize her time with Makoto, causing her teeth to clench in plain sight to see them together.

Jealousy bubbled in the freckled girl's heart, but her knew it shouldn't interfere, it just wasn't fair.

Spending the rest of the time in silence as her gaze occasionally went directly to the pile of hair protruding from the lucky boy's head, she simply looked at that lock of hair, and without realizing a certain feeling of nostalgia suddenly overwhelmed her.

-A few months ago- ~Laundry~ Afternoon

It was a moment after the catastrophe caused by despair in the world, after the "Ultimates" decided to lock themselves in the academy.

Mukuro was sitting reading a magazine while waiting for the clothes to finish washing, she simply hoped to put her clothes in the dryer and leave, but everything changed when a lucky student crossed the door and met her eyes.

"Ah, Ikusaba hello."

"H-hi Makoto" she said with a smile when she saw him, trying not to blush while saying his first name, she liked to call him Makoto making her believe that he was closer to her than he actually was.

"I was going to ask you if you were busy, but I think it's too obvious" said Makoto scratching the back of his head.

"N-not only am I waiting, but if you need something, I am free" Mukuro said with a bit of anguish at the possibility of missing an opportunity to spend some free time with Makoto.

"Well the truth is I have nothing to do, so I just decided to find someone to spend time with" Makoto said with his usual smile, without the knowledge that Mukuro is screaming with emotion when seeing that smile.

"If you want to spend time with me, go ahead" Mukuro mentally slapped herself at the end of that sentence, she seemed so childish that her sister would surely mock endlessly.

After quickly taking her clothes out of the washing machine and putting them in the dryer, the seconds seemed like minutes in Mukuro's head as they spoke, usually leaving Makoto to talk about his family and friends or his life before hope's peak.

She did not want to talk about her time in the army, her stomach churned just saying something that bothered Makoto, in the same way she did not want to talk about her sister with Makoto.

Which is why she simply fell silent as she let Makoto speak, his words were like music to her, and every time her lips formed a smile she could feel her heart melt, if anyone saw them speak they could realize within seconds of Mukuro was madly in love with Makoto, if this was an anime Mukuro's eyes would have hearts and everything around him would have a pink color while the sound of heartbeats were heard in the environment, it was a completely cheesy scene, but Makoto was completely oblivious to this, not even noticing Mukuro's obvious constant blush.

"And there's not much else, my life is that normal... I hope I didn't bore you" Makoto said with his head down looking embarrassed.

"NOT AT ALL" Mukuro said with more enthusiasm than he would like to have used.

"I mean, it wasn't boring or anything, I had fun listening to you" with each word Mukuro's face turned increasingly red.

"Well, I'm glad" and of course not going unnoticed by the lucky student.

Mukuro took her clothes out of the dryer and put them in a basket, then Makoto looked at the clock on his electro id.

"Oh, I think it's been a while, you want to go get something to eat" said Makoto.

"Yes, just wait until I leave this in my room" Mukuro clarified with a fully lit smile.

"Oh" Makoto blushed at Ikusaba's smile, at that moment she looked completely... cute.

"I'll be waiting for you" Makoto said as he left the laundry deciding to go directly to the kitchen and prepare something for both of them.

"I'll wait for you... Makoto" Mukuro whispered, low enough to be imperceptible as Makoto left.

End!

"he doesn't even know I exist" Probably few are interested but the title is based in a quote from the game "Hunt Down The Freeman"... the game is really REALLY bad... yes, but thanks to that phrase and its OST they inspired me to create this... the reviews are appreciated and if you want to insult me for my obvious bad English, you are fully entitled.
