Gregor drove his way to the park. It was nighttime and he had snuck in so no one would be able to see the entrance to the Underland. Gregor found the manhole and popped it open. He climbed down into the hole and. It was only after he climbed down he realized that he had no plan to get to regalia after all he needed a bat to get to regalia. Gregor climbed to the cliff where the bats usually landed to bring someone there. He did not know what to do should he call out and hope someone heard him. He waited there for a while wondering what to do. He finally decided to call out and see if anyone would come. He called out a few times but did not hear any responses or anything coming near him. He was a bit rusty at his echolocation but he decided to use it now or at least try. He clicked but he couldn't see anything. Gregor sighed it was useless he hadn't used echolocation in years he couldn't even use it now. But after his Underland adventures he got lazy practicing it and really had no need for echolocation so it made sense that he wouldn't need it anymore. But now here he was just a regular guy again not an echolocating hero. He tried again to use echolocation. It failed again. He got frustrated after repeatedly clicking and it not doing anything. He kept his lantern on. He opened some of the snacks and decided to just wait and see if anything would happen. Anything at all. He sat there for who knows how long. Minutes, hours, days, no not days. He was almost about to sleep when he heard something. He the faint flapping of wings. Bat wings. A massive brown bat flied at Gregor. It landed on the cliff and said "Hello Overlander, what is your business here?" "I need to get to Regalia" Gregor said. "And who are you? And what do you want in Regalia" the brown bat said. "I need to see the Queen I am the warrior from the prophecy's my name is Gregor" he said. The brown bat pondered this a moment and than said "I am Artemis I will bring you to Regalia climb onto my back" she said. Gregor hopped on her back and made sure not to be scared because he knew she would not drop him. Just like Ares had never dropped him. Ares... that one hurt, one of the friends he could not save, one who died when he was the one who was supposed to die. Gregor hater himself. If he had just killed the bane fastest maybe Ares wouldn't be dead and maybe he would be the one bringing him back to Luxa and Regalia. But no fate didn't want him to be happy at least not yet. As they flew through the darkness of the Underland Gregor couldn't see anything. He tried to click a few times but he was still blind in that sense. He would continue practicing and see what would happen later but for now he needed his flashlight and lantern. The flight was about and hour or so. Gregor didn't remember it being that long. But it wasn't the longest flight he had been on. Perhaps he had imagined it being an hour but they were soon nearing Regalia. The city looked beautiful with the torches lighting up the city. The architecture was amazing as it had been so many years ago. Gregor could start to make out people under the torches. He saw the water way where he had once tried to escape. He also looked to the fields and saw that they were growing wheat. Bats would pass him every once in a while. They finally landed and Gregor looked to see the Regalian Palace as elegant as always. The bat flew up suddenly and landed on the top of the palace. There was no one there to welcome him like on the past but things change after all. A soldier came up to him and asked his business. "I'm Gregor the warrior" he said. The soldier nodded and yelled for someone to get Mareth. They waited a few minutes with Gregor not being allowed inside the palace yet. Mareth flew up on his bat Andromeda and came in for a landing. Mareth walked up to him with an steel look on his face and than wrapped him in a bear hug. Gregor could barely breath. The man was big and seemed to be doing well with his prosthetic leg. "You are hurting him" Andromeda said. Mareth let go and said "sorry but it's been a long time since we have seen you Overlander" Gregor said "yes it's truly been a long time". "Greetings Overlander" Andromeda said. Gregor gave her a nod. "Shall we go and see the Queen?" Mareth said. How could he not mention her fiancé. Wasn't it him who had betrayed Gregor by telling solovet his secret. He had betrayed Gregor but in the end it hat saved him a lot of trouble.
Gregor pulled Mareth aside and said in a hushed tone. "What about Luxa's fiancé?" Gregor said. Mareth looked at him and said "who?" with a confused look. "Y'know Luxa's fiancé" Gregor said a bit annoyed and confused. "As far as I know she hasn't even had a 'date' before" Mareth said. This confused Gregor. Who had written that about Luxa and was it true? "Greetings Overlander" came a familiar voice. It was Howard. "Hey there Howard" Gregor said. Howard patted him on the shoulder. This time Gregor pulled Howard over and said "who is Luxa's fiancé?" Howard gave him a quizzical look and said "who?... I wasn't aware she even had one" if Howard hadn't been told than something was wrong. Luxa has learned to trust Howard a long time ago. They walked down several flights of stairs and went through hallways until they came to the royal apartment. Howard knocked on the door. A voice came from the room and said "coming" the door opened and a much older Luxa came out. Her hair had grown back and it was now long. Her violet eyes seemed even prettier than they had six years ago. She smiled at Howard and Mareth and said "oh did you bring a friend?" As she went back inside inviting the group in. "Luxa that's Gregor" Howard said. Luxa turned and looked back at Gregor and said "that's a very sick joke" Gregor didn't know what to say as he was caught staring at Luxa. "It's not a joke that is indeed the Overlander. Luxa turned to see Gregor staring at her and she gave him a look. "Yes I am Gregor" he finally said shaking his head. "Is it really you?" She said. "It is" he said nodding his head. He was glad she recognized him now. Luxa came up to him and searched him
trying to figure out if he was real or not. And he was. "I'm glad you are here" Luxa said. "Me too" Gregor said. "So we heard something about a fiancé" Howard said. Luxa gave them all a look and said "I don't know what you are talking about" Gregor could tell she wasn't lying. "What about the war?" He asked. "The war of time?" Luxa asked. "No you guys sent me a message saying you needed me to come back and that war was on the brink, that's why I came back was to help you" he said lying a bit about his full reason for coming back. They all looked at each other with a confused look. "Gregor we sent no letter" the three Underlanders said. "Than who did?" Gregor asked. The Underlanders shook their heads. "We haven't been at war for some time" Luxa said. "Rats and humans now live together in the city there is no war here" as on cue Ripred came through the door and said "well look who's back, my favorite Overlander" showing his teeth to Gregor. The Underlanders all looked at Ripred all accusing him of bringing Gregor back in their heads. "What did I miss?" Ripred said.
