(Gregor's POV)

Meanwhile in the Overland...

Gregor was already tired. Regalia was a popular restaurant and for good reason. He had to clean while people were there. Wiping off tables, wiping down windows and stuff like that. Good thing the AC was on and it felt good. But he had to cleanup after customers and for once realized that it was a difficult job and the attitudes that waiters and servers had to deal with Th on a daily basis. If someone tried to get free food by complaining or wining Cormaci would straight up kick them out.

Gregor was glad she did as some people just didn't know where to quit and just wanted to get a free meal or try and sneak out without paying. He didn't expect someone like Cormaci to do that but she did. And actually customers who had to deal with entitled people cheered when they were kicked out they were glad that complainer was gone. Gregor was glad when he got his paycheck for the week. He had finally earned some money.

It had been about two weeks since Gregor had gone up to the overland. And Luxa missed him.

Cajet's POV

The warrior was gone and it made Cajet happy. He could work on his plans and no one could interfere. He had caught the stranger X staring at him once. He knew that X was sizing him up. Perhaps he had suspicions about Cajet. But if they fought X would stand no chance. Cajet felt certain he could crush Gregor in a fight. Cajet was handsome and even deadlier. He had no match in this world he was a powerful being. He was a half lander and he had the most pure genes of anyone. He was more powerful and better than Gregor. He threw his knife and hit the bulls eye right between the eyes. He was almost ready to begin his real game. He just needed one more pawn in position and he could start. The pawn was Gregor. He couldn't wait to fight Gregor. He had faced many powerful opponents in his years but they all failed to defeat him. He was just to good. He took out his chess board and started playing with them. Marking out his strategy. He didn't know when it would happen but when Gregor came back down than the chaos would begin. The cutters needed a reason to go to war. And Gregor was that reason. He was the charmingly end of an era. The era of peace and friendship was over. The era of chaos was beginning.

(Gregor's POV)

Ring, ring, ring, ring, ring.

"Hello?" Came a voice on the phone.

"Yes it's me Gregor" he said.

"Oh yes what is it Gregor? It's kind of late you know" Came the voice of Mrs. Cormaci.

"I know I'm sorry to call you this late but I'm going back to the Underland tomorrow and just wanted to tell you that I won't be there to work tomorrow" Gregor said.

"Alright thanks for letting me know" Cormaci said.

"No problem I'll be gone for a few days" Gregor said.

"Be safe" Cormaci said and she hung up the phone.

Gregor sighed and fell onto his bed. He was tired of working. He was glad he could have a few days off with Luxa and the others. Unknowingly going back was going to start a war. But Gregor had fallen into a trap. Cajet had also set a trap for Luxa making her nervous and doubting her relationship with Gregor. They had both fallen into his domain. Gregor dozed off into a drowsy sleep.

Gregor had a dream that night. A dream where he was trying to save Luxa from death. She was about to fall down a pit and their were no bats with them. Smoke and ash filled the air and the earth tumbled causing boulders and rocks crashing down on them. Luxa let go and fell into the endless abyss. Gregor screamed "no!" And was crushed by rocks. The dream shifted. He could tell two people were fighting but they were so fast he couldn't even see them fighting. They were clashing with swords. Gregor realized one of them was him. But the other one he couldn't recognize. The other one was blurry and he couldn't make out who it was. But who would win. The scene shifted and Gregor could make out nothing. Just darkness did this mean that he had died in the dream? It was just a Dream right. Wait how was he thinking during a dream? It worried Gregor. What if this was reality? The darkness closed in on Gregor and he sat up in his bed.

Gregor was frightened. It was still dark outside. He looked at his clock and saw that it was only 2 in the morning. He opened the fridge and pulled out a gallon of milk and chugged it. He didn't drink all of it but it cooled him down a lot and that dream made him sweat nervously. Tomorrow would be a much better day surely.

(Cajet's POV)

Cajet smiled. His war was about to begin. He had dreamed of being a king ever since he was a little boy. He had been raised in the Underland and had never really gotten to know his father. But he looked like his father and mother. His mother was a peasant but she always called Cajet her prince. That started it all. Why did he have to live barely eating anything every day while the rich and the royalty lived it up when they didn't even do anything? But it was contradictory that he wanted to be a King. Of course he did why couldn't everyone eat like a King? He had grown up working the fields in and lived in the fount. He had made the bread and the food for the governor and royalty. It enraged him how not everyone was a King. If anyone was going to be a King it was him. He could very well have Luxa as his Queen and it could spare him all the extra work of his backup plan. But in order to that he would need to keep Gregor in the Overland. But how to do that? Perhaps it was time for a trip to the Overland.

The next night Gregor headed back down into that tunnel carrying his usual stuff. He had left his sword down the last time since if he was caught with it he wouldn't have an explanation. He whistled a signal for Artemis to come. He waited a few minutes but soon he could feel wind coming to him. He was met with the flapping of Artemis. She let him climb on and they flew off. They soared throughout the expansive Underland and saw many rats, crawlers and some humans on there way to Regalia. They eventually landed in Regalia to which Gregor wanted to see Luxa first. But unfortunately someone was already visiting her and it would set his plans into motion if he saw Gregor.

Cajet thought to himself. But he decided against going to the Overland instead he would wait patiently here and try and turn the Overlanders, particularly Luxa against Gregor. If Gregor saw Cajet flirting with Luxa it could make Gregor angry and well he might do something that he would regret. Cajet grinned at the thought. And if he didn't than that meant that Gregor had let Luxa slide into his hands and he would have no problems. And plan c if she didn't accept him he would wreak chaos by unleashing his backup backup plan. He was covered every angle and there was no way someone could screw up his plans. Especially since all plans allowed him to gain the upper hand and they all had benefits. He was hanging out once again with Luxa. He had passed the man X in the hallway going to his assigned room. He didn't know what the Queen and him had talked about but he would try his best to find out. "So Queen? What'd you talk to X about?" He said kind of impolitely but in a teasing way. "We talked about some things that are private, but you can tell me, I know you are worried about something, Luxa if you are worried tell me I can help, we have known each other for a few years now" Cajet said real convincingly. "Yes true enough I will tell you what I know about a new prophecy" Luxa said. "Yes?" Cajet said pushing her. "It's called the prophecy of the Queen it goes like this"

A hero had returned in flesh and blood, the golden age unearthed, the hidden jem and the dark secret will lead the powers to war again. In this time everything is crucial. The Queen has more power than she knows. X marks the spot and the others will follow him. For the warrior has returned and the end of an era is charmingly at an end. The warrior must play his part or his love will depart. They will fight but in the end the one who is too strong will win."

Cajet studied her face and the prophecy while she told him all of this. He thought and knew immediately it was about him. Who else could be as handsome as him and charming, and the era of peace was at an end which meant that he had to start a war. The warrior and him would fight but in the end the one who was too strong would win. Cajet would win he was just to strong for anyone. His powers were on another level but he had a trick or two up his sleeve. He would win because Cajet was a rager. And not just any rager he could fully control his powers. He heard rumors that Gregor could barely control it and he would use this to his advantage. In fact Cajet was a good enough fighter he could probably kill Ripred with his bare hands even with Ripreds sharp teeth and claws. Cajet was nothing to trifle with. And Cajet knew that Gregor probably could not fight Ripred and win. Which in turn meant that Cajet was strongest than Ripred and more importantly Ripred right? The logic made sense. Nothing could go wrong. Except Cajet feared one thing. The warrior was supposed to have almost unmatched strength but he knew Gregor didn't have it yet. It was Gregors potential that Cajet feared most. In order to kill Gregor he would need to act fast before Gregor could get anytime to become strong again or stronger than he already is. It was also something that Ripred feared. Ripred knew that Gregor could do stuff far better than Ripred could ever hope to do. Even though Ripred at this point was a legendary fighter and thought to not have an equal in any other species. So the fact that Gregor could be better? It was a scary thought to anyone that feared him. And this is where the plan comes in. If Gregor comes back to the Overland before Cajet wins Luxa over he would unleash the fear in the Underland. The fear the cutters had. They feared the return of the warrior but they did not know he had come back. So if Cajet were to tell them than they would give him a high status in their ranks. And Cajet would pretty much be a King. His armies would smash through the defenses of any army that dared to challenge them. They would storm and take Regalia and finally Cajet would rule over humans. It was his destiny. The warrior was a pawn in his game a pawn he would use and gladly throw out as soon as he could. His plan was perfect. There was no stopping him now. As Luxa and him discussed some things about the prophecy. The door swung open and in walked Gregor. Cajet smiled while it looked like he couldn't get Luxa his final piece had moved into place. "I have to go now, Goodbye Gregor, Luxa" Cajet said briskly walking out the door. It was goodbye for Gregor. But forever.
