After many complaints from students about being stuck in the dorms bored, U.A. 's staff decided that all the classes would get a day long field trip of their choosing . The rules were that their activities couldn't be too far from the school and had to take place out of learning time. Each class would have to be chaperoned by two staff members. After long hours full of debates, Class 1-A decided that next Saturday they would go to the Hero amusement park that had opened a few weeks ago.

Which led class 1-A to be sitting on a bus at 7:30 a.m. the next Saturday morning. They were accompanied by All Might in his true form and Eraserhead. The students were chattering in excitement about their plans for that day.

"I have made printed out guides of the park for everyone. I already made a list of where we will go and how long to stay in each section. I took in account everyone's favorite kind of rides and activities so we can all enjoy the park in an organized manner. I suggest you study-"

"Or we could just wing it!"

"Mina sit down this instant! It is highly inappropriate to-"

"I agree with Mina we should just go around and do what seems fun." Uraraka's voice popped up saving everybody from hearing one of Iida's long lectures.

"Very well then, guess these guides are pointless." Iida sighed out.

"N-o-o! We can still use th-em to choose what paths to go down!" Midoriya pointed out.

"That's a great idea!"

"Pipe down kids we are parking, then we will get our wristbands for entry."

"Yes, Aizawa-sensei sir!"

-Time skip to when they are in the park-

Midoriya had always wanted to visit an amusement park but with his mom always working to support the both of them and not having any friends, there was not a point in going to one. When he had first heard about a hero themed park opening nearby he felt a longing to go but with the dorms didn't think there would be a way. So when he heard about the day trips he got excited, even so he couldn't bring up the courage to suggest it. But then Todoroki mentioned seeing an add for it and he couldn't help but chime in. After the class heard of his desire to go; much to his surprise the class quickly agreed. So as they were walking around the park together he was jumping in excitement. He wanted to try everything he possibly could. The class even managed to get Aizawa-sensei to participate in a few things. For once it looked like class 1-A was getting a normal class outing. He shouldn't have jinxed it.

- A few hours later-

It was around 1:00 when they remembered they needed to eat lunch. Luckily they had Iida's guide as a reference. They quickly decided to eat at an American style food truck. It wasn't too far from where they were, so they thought it would be the best choice. Plus it was near the closest bathrooms, which is where Kaminari was supposed to have gone; meaning they could meet up with him. They texted Kaminari that way when he was done he could just wait there.

On the way there they passed a bunch of rides that were themed around American heroes. They spotted the food truck and rushed toward it.

*Boom*

The rest center building to the food trucks right exploded.

"Get behind me!"

The class all stood in fight positions ready to defend anyone who needed help. Luckily Bakugou and Todoroki just got their provisional license recently, so if they needed to the whole class could fight. Koda, Iida, and Sero stood protectively around All might sense he couldn't fight anymore. People were running away from the fire, shoving and stepping all over each other. As the smoke started to clear they could make out a blurry shape getting closer. The figure grew closer until it stepped out of the smoke. It was a middle aged man with curly black hair; freckles dotting the stern face. No one noticed Midoriya's shaking. Right before they could attack the man grabbed a citizen who was laying at his feet. It was a young girl no older than six; she met their eyes sending them a pleading look while trying to hold back her sobs.

"I would back away heroes, unless you want her to suffer." His eyes held a cruel glee in them as his hands tightened around the young girl.

After everyone scooted back a few feet he loosened his grip slightly.

Eraserhead having been a Pro Hero for years knew that they had to act quickly.

"What is your goal here? Terrorizing families at an amusement park isn't your usual Arson."

"HAHAHA!" After a few minutes of hysterically laughing Arson managed to answer. "I happened to be nearby when I found my useless brat of a son entering. I thought I could pay him another visit. Our last one was cut short by a companion of mine. But now we could spend the rest of his life together."

"That's not going to happen on my watch." Aizawa-sensei growled out.

"Oh… But that's not up to you is it. Son come to daddy. Be a good boy, if you want the girl to be safe."

Before anyone knew what was happening Midoriya had run up to the Villains side. His eyes almost completely void except for a slight fear shining through. He looked like a puppet with broken strings; lifeless and meaningless. Much to everyone's surprise Arson latched an arm around Midoriya and then let go of the girl. The girl ran the way the crowd had left moments ago.

"Hello, little Zuku I've been hoping to catch up with you ever since the sports festival. I can't imagine the reason you blocked my calls."

And He was dragged away.

-'''''''''''''Izuku''''''''''''''''''-

He shouldn't have jinxed himself by pointing out how normal the outing had been, In moments he went from laughing with his friends to being stuck in his father's arms. After making sure the girl got away safe he shifted his focus to the ground refusing to meet his classmates and teachers eyes. He could hardly hear the words coming out of his father's mouth but soon after he could feel himself being dragged away.

"Where do you think you're taking my student!" He recognized the voice as Aizawa-sensei. Facing his fears he looked up and met everyone's eyes. He could see looks of worry being sent his way. After some deciphering he realized he was seeing looks of anger, not for him but for his father. After they met his eyes their emotions only grew stronger.

"I'm just taking MY son home!" The arm around his neck was suddenly getting tighter, slightly starting to choke him. "Right son you love your daddy?"

"Y-e-a-h…" He was getting pulled farther away from his friends by the second. They kept moving until they were a good distance away. Midoriya could hardly breathe by this point, not from the choke hold but from his fright of seeing Arson.

"See, just a friendly little chat with my son. Now if you cared for him I would suggest staying back." One look at his father's cruel grin had him frozen in fear; wanting to beg for help but too frozen to even part his lips. He could see his teachers hesitating but following along, wanting to help but knowing they couldn't with the way a villain as powerful as Arson was holding his neck. All of his classmates froze, shooting him desperate looks; he refused to return them and quickly looked away.

*Creak*

Everyone turned their heads to find Kaminari walking out of the restroom. He stopped and looked around with wide eyes.

"Um… guys?"

And with that everything went to chaos.

As soon as Kaminari stepped out Arson reacted; unknown to anyone besides his son, he was about to kill the frightened Midoriya. Before he could kill him, Midoriya felt an ounce of bravery and lit up One For All, kicking his father and managing to escape. He quickly started dashing towards his friends but before he could reach them he felt a tug on his arm, throwing him into the nearby building. Everyone started jumping into action, but they ended up being too late in the end. Arson had managed to let out a big bomb of fire hurtling straight towards Midoriya; and with that Izuku Midoriya had vanished from view. When the smoke cleared up all that was left was a pile of ashes.

- T-T T-T T-T -

Arson managed to escape in everyone else's shock of what had just happened. Not long after backup heroes, police, and ambulances arrived. But that didn't matter to the young heroes and their teachers because Midoriya was dead; killed by his own father.

Dead

Dead

Dead

Dead

Dead

At least that's what everyone thought.

-IZUKU-

Midoriya saw the fire hurtling towards him at a blinding speed; luckily behind him was a picnic table that he jumped behind. Unlucky his phone didn't make the jump and was burnt to ashes. As the smoke cleared he prepared to fight. Once it did he expected him and everyone else to take down Arson quickly but instead he found everyone… starting at the ashes of his phone in horror.

"Calm down guys… It's just a phone… Come on guys, Arsons escaping don't we need to… Guys… Hello… HELLO… Guys this isn't funny!" But no matter what he tried saying they didn't answer. It was like they couldn't hear him. He ran forward and tried reaching and touching them, but his hands slid through them.

No

He didn't touch me…

So… I can't be d-ead right…

Maybe I got hit by a kids quirk during the panic

All I have to do is get Aizawa-Sensei's help…

Wai-t but if they can't hear me spea-k and I can't touch anything… How am I supposed to get help?

Wait do they think I'm actually dead!

No

N-O-o-O

No

N-o

NO!

"Guys I'm not dead I'm right here! Guys!" No matter how much he tried he couldn't touch them.

Wait ghosts can mess with electricity in the movies!

Maybe… if I...

He reached out and tried grabbing the phone in Aizawa-Sensei's hand. His hand still went through the object. He kept trying but all he could do was make it glitch out. Maybe I could control the light bulbs; he was able to make them flicker but couldn't control the blinks of the lights.

No…

No matter what he tried nobody noticed him; and as time ticked by he grew more and more tired. Eventually, a bus came to pick up the U.A. students. This time around instead of hopping around inside it was dead silent, besides the occasional sob escaping someone's mouth. Before he knew it they had made it back to U.A. Teachers were waiting near the dorms and once everyone filed out, his classmates went to have a meeting with the teachers. As much as he knew he should listen, he was too tired to. He went straight through the wall and after figuring out he couldn't float any further off the ground, he chose to hover up the stairs not wanting to risk taking the elevator. The backpack he had been wearing was also in his state, along with his clothes. Instead of bothering to take out his keys, he flew straight through and onto his bed, somehow he was able to lay on surfaces but not picking anything up.

Studying himself before he fell asleep. He noticed that whatever was happening to him, still let him see himself but he was a little more see through than normal and had a blue sort of haze over him. He kept pondering what was happening to him, until he finally fell asleep.
