A/N: Warning Manga Spoilers. Enjoy!

Midoriya dreams were filled with terror of not being seen, all he could do was stand there and yell as everyone cried over a phone. He dreamed of this never ending, seeing everyone else grow up and die as he was left alive but unseen. He thought the nightmares were never going to end but…

"Ninth…"

"Kid…"

"Wake…"

"Come on…"

"Sweety…"

"Hello…"

"Finally…"

He blinked open his eyes and found seven familiar figures surrounding him, he tried opening his mouth to speak before he realized that he couldn't… and that's when it struck him that he was in the void of One For All. He looked around studying all of the vestiges faces, one of them in particular looked extra guilty and that caused him to realize that he wasn't hit by a civilian quirk, he had unlocked one of the past one for all users' quirks.

One of the past users stepped forward, he recognized her as Shimura Nana, the seventh holder of One For All and All Might's mentor.

"Hey kid, I would ask how you're feeling but I guess you can't really answer that can you?"

Her lead managed to give the guilty looking member the confidence to step forward.

"I'm so sorry kid, I guess I should tell you about my quirk. It's called Whisper Soul. Basically it lets you turn into a ghost-like figure, turning invisible and being untouchable, of course this has its drawbacks but eventually once you gain more control you should be able to hold objects and use them properly… oh and speak. Being in the form itself isn't too draining but once you start being able to use items it'll start to drain your energy. And speaking is a hard skill to master in this form. One day you will probably be able to turn other objects and maybe even people into this form with you as long as you're touching them, although you shouldn't try that for a long time because with how you are now it might kill you. And while you don't feel the pain of your injuries in the ghostly form, they will still drain you energy, the amount depending on how bad the wound. Warning, it's a hard quirk to master so you're probably gonna need lots of help with your record. "

"Excuse me… but he's about to wake up so hurry up with the explanation and just tell him what he needs to know."

"Right! Sorry One! Anyway, point being the quirk takes your energy and sense you managed to turn your backpack into this state with you it drained your energy, meaning that as you sleep right now your back in your physical form. Althou-"

Before the user had the chance to finish explaining, Midoriya was washed away from the dream state and back into reality.

Hopefully what he was saying wasn't too important. Wait…

He quickly looked at himself and realized that the blue glow was gone and he was perfectly solid again.

Wait everyone thinks I'm dead! Oh no they probably already called my mom. I have to go tell them I'm alive and that only my phone was harmed.

Not even bothering to change into clean clothes he rushed down the stairs. He ignored the feeling of the burns on his flesh, knowing that it could've ended a lot worse, if the mix up was proof of anything.

Where is everyone… right their meeting!

He yanked open the door and performed a mad dash out the door ignoring all the quirk laws in existence to get to his friends and teachers. Very quickly he found himself at the entrance of the school.

I think Aizawa-sensei said to gather at the cafeteria.

He quickly found the door locked but refused to let that slow him and pummeled it to the ground.

Come on… left-forward-And right!

He could see the door to the cafeteria placed harmlessly against the wall but as he spared a glance just passed the doors he saw Kirishima with his head aimed at the floor standing there, tears dripping from his eyes into a small barely noticeable puddle on the floor.

"Kiri-"

"-shima!"

N-o-o! This can't be happening. I was so close.

He looked down at his arms and saw that familiar blue glow to his arms and even worse Kirishima looked up barely missing him. At that moment the rest of the class walked out of the cafeteria. In his head he cursed the stupid quirk and the way it worked, and then quickly apologized, though he now wondered if the voices in his head yelling at him for cursing them out were just his imagination or the actual vestiges-he wasn't sure which one was worse.

"Kiri what's wrong!" Mina's voice, although trying to sound enthusiastic, just sounded sad.

"I-I-could've sworn I heard Midoriya just now!"

"The stupid nerds dead!"

"No I'm not I'm right here. Just listen!"

"Bakugou that is impolite!"

Even though Bakugou looked to be fuming at first glance, with a deep look Midoriya could tell that he was upset.

"Kirishima, ribbit, I know it's hard. It's hard for all of us."

"I know, it just feels like he's right here watching us as we speak."

"I am! I'm right here not dead!"

"Like a ghost!"

" Well, Kinda…"

"Maybe you're just feeling Hagakure's stare."

"No, go back on the other track!"

"Hey!"

"Maybe Hagakure is a ghost."

How did you guys get so close but so far…

As they were speaking they moved closer to him until they walked straight through him, Mina being the one to actually do it.

"Woah, I just got chills! Maybe there is a ghost haunting us as we speak."

"Mina, there is no ghost!"

"Whatever you say Pres. Whatever you say."

He was tempted to follow them back to the dorm but remembered the teachers had yet to leave the cafeteria. With that in mind he watched his class leave as they tried to cheer one another up. As soon as they were out of sight he ran to the door, if it even counted as running in his state. He floated right through the door before skidding to a stop.

At the far side of the cafeteria he found his teachers, a familiar brown haired police officer, principle, and his mo-

"Mom!"

As he got closer he noticed the tears leaking down her face and the sound of sobbing coming from her mouth. She wasn't the only one crying, all the teachers at least looked to be holding back tears with her. As he looked closer he noticed in his moms hands was the ashes of the phone.

He registered his home room teacher's voice talking to his mom.

"On the half of U.A. I'd like to humbly apologize, we should have protected your son better."

"No… As hard as this is it's not your fault."

"But-"

"No listen to me mister. I should have told you that Arson was his father. I saw that Arson was back in town and should have warned you. I knew Hisashi was never a good father to my boy and that was before I knew he was Arson. I figured out when Izuku had disappeared after being seen with his father who had abandoned him, only to reappear in critical condition and traumatized. I didn't want to scare Izuku so I didn't tell him that Arson was spotted in Japan recently, I should have told you and I didn't. That's my fault not yours."

Mom...

It was silent for a few minutes before the overgrown rat-bear-dog spoke up,

"It's also not your fault Midoriya-san, we should have been alert and careful. Sadly there is nothing we can do to change the past, so the next step will be to hold the funeral. U.A. would be more than happy to pay for it."

Wa-it I don't need a funeral! That's a waste of money!

"T-hank you!"

"It's the least we can do for a student as bright as young Midoriya was. Toshinori, Aizawa please show Midoriya-san to Midoriya's room."

With that everyone headed their separate ways but all of their tasks about Midoriya.

How am I supposed to tell them I'm alive if I can't do anything. Guess I'll just follow the group going to my room.

He looked up to see them already leaving through the door and hurried to catch up. The adults were walking in a group the only sound being the occasional sob.

If I can get Aizawa-sensei to use his quirk on me then all would be solved. But how am I supposed to get their attention if I'm too weak to do anything? If my phone wasn't in ashes I could have texted them right away but nope I had to take it out of my bag and get it fired. … Wait my bag…

He vaguely remembered taking it off because even with it being ghosted it wasn't comfy to sleep with, which meant…

It's in my dorm room… They knew I had it on me! It's in my dorm where I'm headed! If they notice it they'll get suspicious and Aizawa-sensei will be ready to use his quirk… I can't use Morse code on the lights because I can't control their patterns but I can flicker them! Yes!

He silently cried to himself the whole way back to the dorms. The walk there felt ten times longer than usual, filled with his hope and worry of his plan but finally they arrived. All Might opened the door with shaky hands, holding it open for his two companions… and shutting it right on Midoriya's head.

Hey… oh well, It'll be over soon.

He paused for a second before building up the courage to walk through the door. He was greeted by all of class 1-a hanging around in the common room.

"Hey guys! Oh wait…"

"Tsk, hey Auntie."

"Katuski... "

Midoriya-san went up to Bakugou, wrapping her arms around him before quickly pulling away. After a few moments of everyone staring at his mom they shifted their attention to their teacher who currently wasn't balling his eyes out.

"Listen up kids, I know we already talked about what happened but you might get called in to talk to an officer individually in the future. On another note all of you will be required to take therapy with Hound Dog."

"I'll even agree to take therapy if you help me!" Not that there was a point in saying that, with them not being able to hear him.

None of the class protested at his words. The awkward silence returned once again before a puffy faced Ochaco broke it.

"Aizawa-sensei… What about… Well his f-uneral." Looking around he could tell that before the adults came in his classmates had been discussing that topic.

I don't need one!

"U.A. will be preparing and paying for it."

His mom chose that moment to chime in. "You'll all be invited and are welcome to speak if you want to."

Surprisingly Shinso was the one to speak next,

"What will happen to Midoriya's things."

Besides the basic words used those words made everyone's stomachs churn, for they held so much meaning in them. The words were so much then asking what would happen to his belongings, they were asking what would happen to his spot in the hero course, would he be replaced, how were they supposed to replace someone as amazing as Midoriya. He left an influence on anyone he meant. Everyone at U.A. in one way or another had benefited from him, whether it being on a personal level or not. Class 1-a was so much brighter and unified because of him, what would happen to them now. And although it was a surprise Shinso spoke up so soon, the question made sense coming from him. When he first transferred from class 1-c to 1-a he had no intention of becoming friends with his classmates but Midoriya was persistent and soon won him over and taught him about friendship. And now his connection to friendship was lost.

"Shinso…"

It was moments like these he despised the quirk Whisper Soul, usually a quirk like this would have him bouncing non-stop for weeks but with the way the quirk was hurting him and his friends made him mad at the quirk. He knew logically that once this was all over he would eventually find the quirk useful but he didn't even want to think about it right now. It hurt the ones he cared about, the ones that were all but blood family, both his classmates and teachers.

Hopefully they haven't told Eri yet, it would make her completely upset. She had grown especially attached to him and Mirio after her rescue.

He just had to fix this before the word of his "death" spread like a wildfire.

He was snapped out of his thoughts by his sensei's delayed response.

"We still have to work out the details… Right now Midoriya-san is going up to look at his dorm and see how much she needs to bring home. We won't be rushing her, so she has as much time as she needs but we thought it would be smart to let her see his room."

"Y-our all welcome to come see his room with me… Of course some of you might have to stay near the entrance of the room and take turns but I think it would be lovely to have you all."

At his mom's words his classmates hurried out of their seats, making sounds of agreement. He watched Aizawa-sensei hide his face in his capture gear before turning around towards the stairs, once everyone noticed him heading up they quickly followed but made sure to let the adults take the lead.

Remember the plan.

One of them has to notice the bag, right?

They quickly reached the second floor, heading straight to his door. Aizawa-sensei used his master key to unlock the door, hesitating for a second while his hand loomed over the door knob. Finally he completed the short distance, twisting the handle and pushing the door open. The class all shuffled in after the adults, Midoriya being glad he went in before they could block his entrance because besides the fact he couldn't see their insides the thought of flowing through his friends gave him shivers.

Nope, not today please.

He sat on his bed watching as their eyes traveled across the room, looking at everything he owned and even though they are all his friends he couldn't help but be embarrassed. It didn't help when he caught Eraserhead staring with wide eyes at the occasional Eraserhead themed items sprawled across the room. His mom's fingers glazed some of the objects that held precious memories, like his analysis journals.

With all his strength he hoped that someone would notice the yellow backpack laying harmlessly against the bed. He was starting to lose hope of ever being noticed-

"Didn't Midoriya have his backpack on him before- well being burned?" Everyone's eyes snapped towards Kaminari, who Midoriya couldn't be any more grateful for.

Yes!

It was Aizawa who answered the electric user,

"Yes, it was turned to ashes with him." Everyone flinched at those words and started having flashbacks to the event before Kaminari replied back.

"T-hen why is it laying next to his bed?"

Everyone snapped their heads to look at the bed.

"What the-"

Aizawa slowly walked over to the bag, lightly poking it before picking it up to examine it.

"It's scorched."

When he turned the bag towards them their eyes widened. Aizawa did a quick search, finding everything that he brought to the park besides Midoriya's phone in the bag. His shoulders tensed which Midoriya took as his que to flicker the lights.

"Ahh!"

"What's happening!"

"Okay, this is seriously creepy!

Midoriya waited for his teacher to use his quirk but it never came. Instead his mom and classmates were all being pushed out of his room. He quickly followed them into the hallway, standing in between Aizawa and everyone else. He desperately made the hall lights flash before giving up.

No… Come on. There has to be a way he can get his teacher to use his quirk. Wait… Didn't Mina say she felt chills when I passed through her… That's it! It has to work, It's my last hope.

He closed his eyes and passed through his teacher feeling the shudder of the grown man. He quickly turned around, passing through him one more time, now being placed right in his teachers vision.

And it worked. He felt the pain of the burns returning as the blue hue around him disappeared. He ended up crashing right into Todoroki but couldn't have cared less because it worked and he was back. Oh wow, he was back.

He could feel the tears running down his cheeks but knew that even if he tried he wouldn't be able to stop them. He felt arms wrap around him gently avoiding his burns. He barely registered the voices around him at first, due to his overwhelming relief but he knew he had to explain everything so that he could get help. So he pushed down the tears and pain before turning around and meeting Aizawa's gaze.

He could feel the shocked and questioning looks around him but he took a deep breath before starting.

"S-ens-ei-"

Aizawa knelt down in front of him letting go of his quirk.

"I need someone to grab him a glass of water. I know you want to stay but there'll be time for that later. Make a place downstairs cozy where I can lay Midoriya for Recovery Girl to look at and make some food for him. Iida go tell the other teachers what's happening. Go!"

They all hesitantly left until it was just him, Aizawa, All Might, and his mom. He could feel Whisper Soul starting to activate again.

"Kid-"

He found himself wrapped in a sickeningly familiar color of blue.

And like that it was over.

He looked up and saw the disappearing red glow in his sensei's eye, the sign that Erasure was in use.

"S-ensei!"

"Shh… Kid you're alright. I'm not going to let you disappear on us again."

He felt himself being tucked into Aizawa's grasp. He clung tighter to his sensei's shirt afraid to let go, curling up pathetically in the gentle arms. He spared a glance at All Might and his mom. She stepped forward, running her hands through his hair.

"I'm glad to see you back Izu. I'm going to leave you in your teachers' care and help your friends make it nice and cozy for you, okay?"

He gave her a slight nod as she pulled her fingers away, quickly grabbing a few things from his room before heading down the stairs.

That left him, his mentor, and his homeroom teacher.

All Might kneeled down next to Aizawa and Midoriya placing a comforting hand on his arm.

"My boy-"

"One For All."

"What?"

"It d-did."

Aizawa interrupted their talking,

"What's One For All? Does it relate to All For One? And why is it at fault?"

Toshinori looked at Midoriya, sending a silent question.

"P-please tell him-m."

And he did. He quickly explained a short version of the origin and how it became in Midoriya's possession.

"I can't believe you Yagi. We'll talk more about this later, when Midoriya is better. But for now I need to know what this has to do with what's currently happening."

Once again Yagi explained what he knew of the past users and how Midoriya was unlocking their quirks. Aizawa looked sick at the idea of Midoriya not only having Super strength but six other quirks piled on top.

Midoriya took this as a chance to explain the new quirk.

"It's called Whisper Soul."

He told them everything the past user had told him. Their mood decreased as the explanation went on.

"As much as it pains me, we might have to give you quirk suppressants till you learn to keep it off. Luckily I'm qualified to help you learn about your quirk and will make sure to be in charge of that."

They decided that anything else needing to be said could be talked about in front of others and headed downstairs, Midoriya being carried by Aizawa.

Once they reached downstairs they saw a stretcher clearly made by Yaoyorozu covered in blankets and other cozy items. Aizawa-sensei walked over and placed him down on the pile. He was so tired from the quirk and he could feel his burns aching. He groaned a bit leaning into the pile, not caring if he had a small crowd watching him.

Sero quickly gave Aizawa the water, who gave little sips of it to Midoriya. Midoriya could feel the multiple hands gently rubbing his body, carefully avoiding all injuries.

Shortly after the other teachers arrived, Recovery Girl carrying a med kit. She wrapped up and treated all the burns to the best of her ability, she couldn't use her quirk because he was too tired to have energy sucked out of him. She luckily had a suppressant on her that would at least last him a few hours.

After the medical part was done, Aizawa explained everything while feeding Midoriya. Besides the future complications this held, Midoriya couldn't have more relief to be home.

"Wait then what was the ash!"

A/N: Hope you enjoyed! P.s. I do plan on eventually writing Deku learning his quirk.
