Cole's Pov: Well here I am currently Waiting at my aunt's house that I currently live in so I wasn't homeless, not that I minded the streets and nature but unfortunately for me other's care that I do live on the streets. Like I said I was waiting to see if I got picked to be on the new season of TDI, it wasn't my idea personally but my aunt insisted that this would be a good opportunity for me to make friends. I never really wanted or needed friends in my life, not that I hated people or anything I just find it easier to be alone in life just less drama and stress I think. just as I was about to leave the phone rang and I got up to answer it Hello I said seeing if it was the call I wanted or not Hello this is Chris host of the show just here to tell you your one of the people selected he said in a monotone voice That's great I answer, when do I leave I asked You leave in 3 days hope you don't have seasickness he said as he abruptly hung up.Well this is going to be interesting I say to myself as I go to pack for the trip 3 days later I said goodbye to my aunt and brother as I was the last one to board the boat, I looked around and saw the other competitors I would be going against this season. I saw a tomboy Jock, a silent big and slightly overweight giant, a cadet, A girl who was meditating with a starfish in her hand, a new jersey tan girl stereotype, a girl with red hair, a farm boy, a regular looking skinny boy with jet spiked up hair, a pudgy girl in a pink jacket who was rambling, another jock who looked full of himself and a blonde model wannabe.Well this will be interesting I say to myself as I go to the furthest end of the boat wanting to be alone for the rest of the ride.When we were close I suddenly heard a voice from behind Well well what do we have here the voice said as I turned around and saw the farm boy from earlier I just stare at him for a moment when he suddenly says What no hello or hi he says in a almost mocking tone as I sayWell sorry but I don't owe you a hello and no one else in the world does either I say a bit agitated I saw right through him and his rather generic character.Well stay out of my way if you value your kiwis he says Right back at ya I retort back now go away pit sniffer I say through gritted teeth, he glares at me but gets the message and goes away leaving me be. as we continue to drive to our destination I see the island in the distance when suddenly BOOM!!! The boat exploded as we all end up in the water, as I swam I saw a few of the contestants having a hard time swimming but it wasn't my concern. Not to be rude but why come here if you can't even swim, turns out I was the first to reach land or so I thought as I saw the girl who was meditating earlier doing the same but on a rock.Wait how did you? your not even wet, I say in confusion she looks at me Oh I used a shortcut she says softly i shook my head and saw that most of the others had come to land already as well, as we waited I sat in the sand as I listened to the conversationsisn't it crazy that I'm on this show I've been watching for year's the red-haired girl Yes it must be great to talk to people being an only child and all, the meditating girl said whaa the red-haired said confused howd you know that? your soul reads like an open book, your childhood was so lonely it must have been difficult the meditating girl said as she grabbed at the now weirded out girl's hands as she quickly pulled away from the rather creepy girl.how can she read souls isn't that like ya know impossible I thought to myself and shuddered, I didn't have long to ponder as Chris came over on the loudspeaker telling us to follow the trail and not to disturb the wildlife Yea we wouldn't want to upset the bunnies the jock in the blue shirt said as he nudged the gamer junkie, as soon as he said that though there was a loud rawr coming from the woods You were saying I said flatly as everybody started running, I was keeping up with the jock and the tomboy it was close but I had enough energy to finish first as I shrugged my shoulders.How did this pipsqueak beat me the tomboy said annoyed as I just laughed and saidBetter luck next time I said smiling as I saw the jock cross next Aw man can't she-leave this the jock grumbled, as we waited Chris came riding in on an ATV Alright while we wait for the rest let's start situating the team's Chris said as he pointed to me Purple boy Team A as I stayed on the left, Joe team B, lightning team A Chris saidwe saw the cadet next as he went to team b, next was the pit sniffer whose name is Scott as he went to our team Fucking wonderful I thought to myself, next was the red-haired girl who was called Zoey the lonely Chris said nonchalantly as I rolled my eyes than is was beanpole and the soul reader not far behind and just my luck she was on our team, her name was dawn and beanpoles name was mike. the rest slowly came in short tan in a can was on team b paparazzi girl who's name is Dakota was on our team gamer junkie whose name was sam was on team b and finally, the silent giant and chatting nonstop showed up and they were both on my team there names were Staci and b.Alright that everyone Chris said with his signature smileWhat the heck was the thing in the forest Scott said scaredChris then went on to explain how he left the island to a toxic waste disposal company I was kind of disgusted as I saidYea because that could never end badly I said sarcasticallyAs we moved on into the challenge it looks as if 2 totems were tied up and wired with bombs and timers, well we're fucked I thought to myself Thanks to purple boy finishing first team A gets a hacksaw and team B gets a trampoline Chris says as a hacksaw was thrown my was as I caught it with easeThe challenge is simple get the totems to the cabins before the timer runs out and the bombs attached to them explodes Chris explains, And the challenge begins Now he also says as the time starts ticking Shit I thought to myself as our team starts to think of ways to get our totem. down-Sha please I got this lightning said as he started to climb the tree, but he just kept on failing over and overI suddenly got picked up by B and was placed on one side of the log and he jumped on the other side of the log as I landed on the ground my back against the tree A human ladder good thinking big guy I said as I smiled at him he returned it, as he led the ever-annoying Staci next as her feet landed on my shoulders then it was dawn, then Scott, then lightning and then Dakota was next as I threw her the hacksaw, she got launched and was on top however she didn't seem to know what to do with it.I could feel my brain cells committing suicide as I groanedGirl you cannot be this dumb, lightning said annoyedpretend it's daddy's steak knife, dawn said in a loud but soft tone Oh Dakota exclaimed as she started to cut the rope and it wasn't long until the rope gave and the totem fell to the side B change your name to A I said patting his should as he smiled and shrugged *Scott**Confessional: B and purple boy think there so smart but once my plan goes into action they won't know what hit them as it's about to end Scott hits himself with a rock*Confessional End*We get to ride the totem pole like a bobsled but this girl Staci won't shut up it's starting to make me want to hang myself Did you know my great great great great Staci started but we all said In unison we don't care as we see the opposing team start to catch up its neck and neck B is telling us to lean forward Dawn says as we do it and we start to go faster and end up being first to the cabins as we cheer Go for the big one I say as we haul the totem to the placeholder, we get it there just as the timer on the bomb hits one as we sighed in relief. unfortunately, that would only last a minute because the opposing team's totem crashed into the big cabin and ended up exploding when the clock hit zeroit's a shame it had air conditioning and an 8 person hot tub Chris says as everyone but me groans, personally I don't care but I did when I found out we lost because they had a cabin standing and we didn't This is bullshit I thought to myself as lightning asked where he was going to sleep and Chris answered with a new crud cabin in the big cabins place via helicopter we all groaned even more so when Staci told more tall tails and we all glared at her, well at least I know who I'm voting off I said as I walked away. I found a nearby tree and decided that's where I'm sleeping as I thought to myself.excuse me a voice came as I turned around to see who said it, it was dawnoh hey dawn is it I asked as I looked at the tree some moreI just wanted to say I can't read your soul at all it's mysterious but I can sense social anxiety within you, dawn said sympathetically as I laughed
yeah you could say that I said she wasn't wrong I wasn't great around others but I tried my best.by the way, what's your name dawn asks me curiously, as I answer Names cole I say flatly might as well get used to saying my name I thought I also sense you love nature just as much as I do dawn says almost happy I share the same interest as heryep sure do I say as I laughed a bit I wasn't a soul reader but I did love nature well it was nice meeting you cole dawn says with a smile as I return it as she leaves,at the elimination, everybody got a normal marshmallow except for a staci got a normal marshmallow, she got a somehow toxic Marshmellow well you don't see that every day I think as she was sent flying in a catapult and thus ends the first day here as I went to the tree I found earlier and fell asleep rather quickly letting slumber overtake me.(Thus ends the first chapter)
