...

"I'm not prank calling Timmy." Tecna declared as she stood up her position. The thought of her calling Timmy and telling him some cheesy pick lines or a fake confession was too much to handle.

"No you don't have to do that." An evil grin spread across Stella's face. She gave a knowing glance to Bloom as if it was a secret code which was instantly picked up by the redhead.

"Your dare is to remain quiet for the next 10 mins." Bloom explained.

"What?" Now that was baffling. She knew they won't let her off the hook this easily, so something had to be cooking.

"Sounds simple." Flora commented.

"Your time starts now." Bloom fished out her phone from somewhere between the dozen colourful pillows piled on her bed. Tecna, who was now seated between Stella and Bloom tried to understand what exactly they were planning.

Bloom dialled Timmy's number and put it on loud speaker. Tecna felt relieved when Timmy did not pick up the call, though a small part of her wondered why. Was he busy doing homework? Or maybe he's with someone else. Her relief was short lived as Bloom dialled Helia. She may be mad at Sky but that didn't mean she had to cut ties with her other friends.

…..

"Why is Bloom calling me at midnight?" Helia remarked loud enough for the rest of the guys to hear. It was Friday night and the guys did not have any plans in particular so they were hanging out at Brandon and Skys' room. Sky and Helia were engrossed in a discussion about the latest Zombie Apocalypse movie that released the previous day, with Brandon occasionally giving his inputs, his eyes fixed on a certain blonde's Magixgram account. Timmy and Riven were busy looting a museum in their video game when an unusual call attracted the boys' attention.

"Hello." Helia greeted softy and put the phone on speaker. Sky wondered why Bloom was calling Helia. The fact that she wouldn't even call him anymore made him sad. Not that he expected that she would yet it stung a little.

"Hi Helia, is Timmy around?" This peaked Timmy and Riven's attention.

"Yes, he's murdering a security guard as we speak." Brandon joined the fun.

"What?!" Flora let out a startled shriek. Tecna wanted to do the same but was deterred by the dare.

"He's playing Midnight Theives, a video game with Riven.' Helia explained in his usual calm and soothing voice.

"Can you get him here for a minute? It's about Tecna." On hearing her name, Timmy jumped out of his seat midgame and joined his friends.

"What happened to Tecna, is she alright?" His voice was filled with dread and concern.

"Poor boy we should not be troubling him like that." Flora murmured softly to which Tecna gave a finally-something-logical look.

"She is alright nothing to worry about." Stella was getting impatient so she decided to take the lead. "She wanted to tell this personally but since she's so shy around you, we thought we'd convey this on her behalf."

Realisation dawned on Tecna and she finally understood what was going on. She wanted to interrupt this whole charade, damn the dare, but Musa predicted her best friend's next course of action and quickly covered Tecna's mouth with her hands. At the moment, Tecna felt more helpless than a little child who's ice cream just got snatched.

"Well she was wondering if you know, since you both are like super smart and don't really mind each other's fashion choices," Stella continued.

Timmy and the guys were listening patiently. Unknown to the girls, Helia's phone was also on speaker as all the guys were equally interested in this conversation and wouldn't allow Helia or Timmy to turn off the speaker, despite the latter's unsuccessful attempts.

"And you understand each other so well, like you are cut from the same cloth" Bloom said.

"You can spend hours and hours discussing your robots and the algothingies, and forget the whole world while you are at it." Musa interrupted. That melodious voice caught Riven's attention who now walked towards rest of his friends instead of passively listening with his hands on the console.

"You know how to make her smile even on her darkest days." Flora said truthfully.

Timmy's heart was beating faster by the minute, sweat forming on his palms and forehead. If the suspense went on any longer, he swore his heart would burst out of his rib cage and race off to the mountains. Even though he knew biologically that was not possible. All the girls had spoken one by one so naturally, he was anticipating Tecna to join suit and clear the air on what was going on. Is this what he thinks it is? Does she really feel that way about me? Sure neither of them were fans of sweep-you-off-your-feet romance, but pouring her hear out over a midnight call in the audience of all their friends was cold and passionless, even by Tecna's standards.

"So she was wondering if you two could get together and make cute geeky super smart kids with orange hair and teal eyes!" Stella said almost dreamily.

"WHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!" A surprised scream echoed over the call, threatening the hearing ability of the teenagers. No this was not Timmy, who too dumbfounded to get any words to leave his mouth. It wasn't Tecna either who was feistily trying to break Musa's grip on her mouth and put an end to this non-sense. This was, so far the most ridiculous thing she had ever been a part of in her entire life.

"Sky relax, be happy for our Timmy here." Brandon chuckled breaking the silence and giving the bespectacled boy a big thud on his back.

"This has got to be the strangest booty call ever." Riven remarked and rolled his eyes.

In no time all the teenagers (minus two who were too embarrassed to react) broke into hysterical laughter. By now everyone got that it was a prank call, but they were nevertheless determined to extract as much fun as possible.

"You know our friend's IQ is not for sale." Brandon said between laughs.

"And were not pimping him out just because you girls want orange haired kids to play with." Sky said trying to sound firm but failing miserably at it.

"His orange hair is his propriety feature and we are not distributing it around like free candy." Brandon continued. Free candy? Are you implying I should charge for it? Timmy sighed mentally at his friend's stupidity.

"Hey, we're contributing too! Teal eyes and porcelain skin are rarer." Stella countered proudly.

Meanwhile, the would-be parents could not believe that the traits of their imaginary future children were being discussed like features of a smartphone. That too by their friends nonetheless.

Timmy, who still was too embarrassed to react, wondered the reason behind Tecna's silence. Was she around listening to these abstract ramblings? Was she even aware of this call? He was feeling a mixture of embarrassment, skepticism and slight amusement. Orange hair and teal eyes wouldn't be so bad after all. He shrugged that thought immediately returning his focus to his surroundings.

"Girls" He took a deep breath and continued, "Is Tecna around?" Timmy asked innocently.

"Looks like someone is getting impatient for baby making" Musa teased like a little school girl and the girls broke into fits of giggles.

Leave it up to Timmy to make a bad situation worse.

"Hold your water people, they'll probably make babies in a lab and not how nature intended to." Riven's comment let to another round of uncontrolled hysterical laughter, mainly because with this pair, that possibility could not be ruled out.

Helia who had till now tried to act mature and keep his laughter in check too lost his resolve. Tears threatened to fall from Stella's eyes was holding her stomach, laughing. Musa's condition was no better. This allowed Tecna the opportunity to break free and put an end to this conversation.

"THIS HAS TO BE THE MOST ILLOGICAL DARE EVER!" Tecna practically screamed. This was the first time any of them had heard Tecna scream and to be completely honest, it was slightly scary, even for the guys. Especially Timmy. While he was glad to know Tecna was aware of the ongoing madness, he was gladder that he wasn't there to witness her fury.

"For anyone who isn't up to speed yet and for everyone who is engaged in this dim-witted mockery, it was a dare. We girls were playing truth and dare and I was dared to stay silent 10 minutes which, by the way, ended 2 minutes ago. I was held as a hostage during this entire conversation which was nothing but the girls watching too many mindless movies. We apologise for this untimely call and for causing inconvenience to you guys. This shall not be spoken off again. Good night." The red faced teenager said hurriedly in a single breath and disconnected the call before anyone could fully absorb her words or react to them.

"That was fun. Why don't we ever play truth or dare?" Brandon asked to on one in particular, earning one more round of laughter from the guys, while Timmy was still recouping from the latest happenings of the night.

Who knew Truth and Dare carried the threat of heart attacks?
