The body of Antiman and his wife was presented to the King for one last inspection. The body had been preserved the best it could but was horrible burned across the chest and back. The King gave a glance at his son and then motioned to have the body and casket removed from his sight. Citali was present expecting to be named the heir apparent.

"Never again shall you and your brothers hunt together. You and your brothers failed to protect one another," the King accused.

"Yes, my King," Citali said respectfully not wanting to argue the point.

"The son of your brother will be the heir to the throne now," the King revealed.

"He is only a youth," Citali protested.

"And am I dead yet?" the King replied. "When I die, he will be full grown. You will be his regent until he is of understanding. You shall take into your house your brother's wives and children," the King ordered.

"As you wish, my King," Citali said disappointed.

Lex entered the throne room unannounced as the Prince sat on his throne receiving back massages from his female servants. They had placed ointments and medicines onto the Prince's back where the burns had been. The Prince had his eyes closed in meditation but he could tell from Lex's obnoxious entrance who it was.

"Why can I not remember anything about the hunt? What did you do?" she demanded of him.

The Prince sighed annoyed. "Leave us," he said to the servants.

Once they were gone, the Prince opened his eyes at Lex. "How should I know? I took the same vial," he said.

"You erased your memory so you would never be put on trial for whatever it is that you did," Lex accused.

"That sounds like a theory," the Prince said dismissively.

"You killed your brother didn't you?" Lex asked.

"What is it to you?" the Prince asked.

"You could have yourself and your entire family killed because of you," Lex said.

"We do not punish the family for the sins of the head like humans do," the Prince said disrespectfully.

"If you die, what happens to us? We would be traded off like livestock to your next of kin," Lex said.

"That tradition exists to protect the widows and orphans," the Prince said. "Male Yautja are not expected to live as long as the females."

"It has nothing to do with biology. It is because of your stupid hunts," Lex said.

The Prince pounded the floor with his staff and got off his throne. "We evolved as predators killing everything in our path whether we were hungry or not. Then, when we could no longer kill anything we turned against each other. It is an evolved instinct to hunt and kill for survival. Over the hundreds of thousands of years we learned to channel that instinct to preserve life in the galaxy," the Prince explained.

"You have felt it too. You never killed anyone until you changed into one of us. If you had been born a Yautja you would feel an even greater desire to hunt and kill. So, how do you think an alpha male Yautja from birth feels?" the Prince asked.

"I have felt it," Lex admitted.

The Prince relaxed and went back to his throne. "Your human DNA mixed with that of the Yautja could be the key to creating a new race. Our kind created through natural selection the Black Yautja who have even stronger instincts to hunt and kill than ours. That was a mistake. Instead, we should use human DNA to repress these instincts. I want your feelings, sense of morality, and altruism while discarding your physical frailties and small processing power," the Prince said.

"I am tired of your games. I will stay here and give birth to your little monster," she said.

"So, you are now going to be a breeder for me?" the Prince asked slightly disappointed.

"I would rather be that than a killer for you," she replied angrily.

"So be it."

As the weeks went by, Lex's pregnancy continue to grow. Midway through the pregnancy, Lex heard that the human Isabelle was about to give birth to the first human born on an alien world in recent times. Lex made her way down to preserve and used a mask to adapt to the simulated Earth atmosphere.

Isabelle stared at the Yautja warriors and Lex fearfully thinking they may take the infant from her. Lex took off her mask so she could see the infant more clearly with her own eyes. "Congratulations," Lex said in guttural English. The air was already taking its toll on her, but she could stand it for a few more moments.

Isabelle stared at Lex's protruding abdomen. "You are pregnant too," she realized.

A fast moving object went straight for Lex. One of her guards stood in front of it getting hit with an arrow to the gut. The other Yautja warriors fired plasma cannons at the general direction but couldn't see the target.

"It must be the other human. I want him alive," Lex ordered.

Half of the Yautja warriors chased after Royce while the others remained at Lex's side to protect her. The one shot with the arrow took it out of his gut and threw it down disdainfully. Royce was eventually apprehended and dragged before Lex. He was completely covered in mud.

"That trick only works for so long," Lex told him referring to the mud. "The reason we can't see you is because our mask is programmed for heat vision. But each one of our masks is programed to give us ten different sight settings. If you escape us it is only because we let you."

"Monster!" Royce spat.

Lex noticed that Royce's knee was still disabled from the time she had injured him. "You would do better with a prosthetic but I doubt you would go so far as to cut it off yourself," Lex said.

"What do you want us to do with him?" the guard leader asked.

"Cut off the injured leg and give him a prosthetic replica so he can have a fighting chance. Do it away from here," Lex said in Yautja so Royce and Isabelle wouldn't understand.

The guards then took Royce and dragged him away. Lex turned to Isabelle. "He didn't even seem to notice his own child," Lex noted in English.

"Yeah, he's an asshole," Isabelle said annoyed.

Lex brought a case before Isabelle and opened it revealing a sniper rifle. "This weapon will not fire bullets. It fires balls of paint," Lex explained.

"You brought me a sniper paintball gun?" Isabelle asked confused.

"Whatever you managed to hit will be painted. Then one of the guards will hunt it and kill it for you," Lex said. "Therefore, anything you shoot and hit will be yours," Lex said.

"Thank you," Isabelle said awkwardly taking the weapon.

She looked through the sights and saw that it was a modified version of her own rifle. "Also, you will be given architects and builders to help you build the first human settlement on this planet. You can build a castle, a pyramid, a temple, whatever you want to create for the settlement."

"A human theme park," Isabelle said bitterly.

"Think of this way. If the Earth is ever destroyed you will be the last human presence in the galaxy. Keep that in mind," Lex said.

"I have some ideas," Isabelle said thoughtfully.

"What is the name of the child?" Lex asked.

"I am going to name him David," Isabelle said looking at the baby boy.

"When he comes of age, more humans will be added to the preserve," Lex told her. "I have a personal question for you. Do you like Royce?"

"Not really. We had sex because we were bored. He's a good fighter but that's it," Isabelle said awkwardly.

"It expands the gene pool if you had another replacement. We could send him back and get a new male in his place," Lex said.

"You're going to send that asshole back to Earth and keep me here?" Isabelle said displeased.

"He won't live long thereafter. He will tell Earth's government about the Yautja and then he will be killed shortly. You, on the other hand, will live past one hundred years with our medicine. You will be the founder of a new human colony," Lex said.

"Sure, fine, whatever you want to do," Isabelle consented.

Lex turned to her guards. "I want the human male on a ship to Earth as cargo."

"That is against the law," the lead guard protested.

"I will arrange a transfer for you all, so that you can hunt him down and kill him. Is that agreeable?" Lex asked.

"Yes princess," they said.

Royce was strapped down by the Yautja guards. He struggled in vain as he was place on the table. His leg was strapped down tightly so it would not move. A gag was placed in his mouth and a laser beam sliced into his leg. Royce struggled but his leg stayed perfectly still. The laser sliced off his leg just above the wound Lex had given him. After the leg had been taken off, a new prosthetic piece resembling a human leg was placed onto the stump. Royce continued to squirm as the prosthetic piece was fitted. The pain became too intense for Royce and he passed out.

"Take him to the ship," the lead guard ordered.

The guards took the ship to Earth and resupplied the Yautja cruiser that was always in Earth's orbit. They then secretly shot Royce down to the planet in a capsule. The cruiser officers had believed it had been trash to be destroyed in the atmosphere, so they paid no attention to it. The capsule landed in the middle of Australia. As soon as it landed, the time began for self-destruct. Royce realized the danger and ran as fast as he could from the capsule. The capsule exploded vaporizing the site. After recovering from the impact, Royce walked across the Australian desert. With each step, he tried to get used to the new alien prosthetic leg. He found to some relief that he could now walk better than before. The Australian Air Force came out to investigate the impact and collected Royce by way of helicopter. "What brings you out here mate?" the pilot asked Royce sarcastically.

"I am an American. Bring me to an embassy," Royce said exhausted.

Royce visited the embassy and took the next flight to Washington DC to debrief. After the long flight across the world, Royce was confronted by CIA personal wearing casual clothing. "Please come with us," one of them said to him.

Royce followed them into a black car that took him to an undisclosed underground location in the DC area. Once they arrived, Royce was led inside where he would meet with the Deputy CIA director. "Welcome back. We have a lot to discuss with you," the director said.

"You won't believe me even if I told you," Royce said.

"You will find that whatever it is that you experienced is well within the range of what we already know," the deputy smiled.

"Is that right?" Royce smirked. "Before I tell you anything I want ten million dollars tax-free, a new car, and a mansion on the Hawaiian islands."

The deputy gave a false smile. "Royce, you're wanted for war crimes in several countries. You're a mercenary for hire. If you do not cooperate with us you will be sent to prison for the rest of your life and it won't be an American prison. It will be a prison in Kuwait or Saudi Arabia, and I don't think you want that."

"Then I won't talk," Royce smiled back.

"You will find that we can make anyone talk," the deputy said. Royce looked around and saw CIA agents preparing a board and a bucket of water. "What the fuck is this?"
