When the birth was about to happen, Lex felt a sudden pain in her abdomen. Kachina, the sixth wife was supervising her at the time. "I feel it happening," Lex said alarmed.
Kachina motioned her servants to come to her. "Come with me," Kachina said to Lex.
Kachina led a squad of servants across the palace in an orderly fashion. Lex was placed in a craft to be sent off. There was a pause as Makawee and her escort arrived on the docking bay of the palace. "I will let him know," she said sending Kachina off with Lex.
Makawee watched in silence as Lex and Kachina flew off towards the hospital. As the craft disappeared from sight, Makawee went back into the palace to find the Prince. She found him in the observatory wing of the palace. He was investigating a new star system that he could arrange a hunt for.
"Your seventh wife will soon give birth. She is with Kachina on their way to the hospital now," Makawee reported.
"Thank you for alerting me," the Prince said as he continued looking at the hologram star map.
"Do you wish a transport to go to the hospital?" Makawee asked.
The Prince turned to see her. "What would you like me do?"
"I want you to stay with me," Makawee said boldly.
The Prince walked closer to her towering above her. "Then I shall stay."
The craft landed inside the hospital. Medical professionals gathered around and took hold of Lex. "Until the Prince arrives, you will be taking orders from me," Kachina told the lead doctor.
Lex had no time to think as she felt powerful contractions in her abdomen. She could barely walk and required help from the staff. Lex was brought into a medical room and placed on a bed. Kachina entered the room to witness. The doctor then moved Lex so she was on all fours and then placed restraints on his wrists and ankles.
"What are you doing?" Lex demanded of the doctor.
Kachina and the doctor gave confusing glances. "The Yautja females give birth on all fours. It is the most efficient way," Kachina explained.
"I don't think so. Get me out of these restraints," Lex protested.
Kachina nodded to the doctor and watched Lex curiously. The doctor took off the restraints and let Lex fall onto the bed on her back. "How do you want to proceed princess?" the doctor asked.
"I am not certain. This is the first time, but you're supposed to have my legs spread out," Lex said awkwardly.
The doctor did as she asked placing her legs far apart. Lex tensed up as she felt another painful contraction. "Don't you have any drugs to dull the pain?" she asked.
Kachina approached Lex so the doctor could not hear. "Yautja males don't use pain killers in battle even for the most egregious wounds. Giving birth is like battle for female Yautja," she said.
Lex grabbed Kachina's arm in a tight grip. "Do they have them or not?"
Kachina thought about the question. "No."
Lex glared at her not knowing whether she was telling the truth or not. Kachina turned to the doctor. "This birth may be unusual. You may need to cut her open."
"I shall prepare my staff for that possibility."
Kachina turned to Lex. "I want the best for you. After all, your children will never surpass mine in the line of succession and according to the King they can never be heirs to the throne anyway."
"I am reassured," Lex said sarcastically. "Where's the Prince?"
"He has been notified. He may come or not," Kachina said casually.
"Did he come to yours?" Lex asked.
"He came to the first born. The others he missed because of hunts," Kachina said. "In fact, he missed the birth of my youngest because he was busy with you on Earth," Kachina said resentfully.
There was silence between them for a few moments. "Do human fathers witness the births of their children?" Kachina asked.
"Sometimes if they're around," Lex said.
"What about your father?"
"Yes, he was there," Lex recalled.
"In Yautja culture this will be your greatest accomplishment in life. You should savior it. Every pain and sensation of it," Kachina told her.

The Prince undressed Makawee peeling away her garments onto the floor. He stared at her mature body. There wasn't a scar or imperfection on her. Makawee was a true princess raised to be royalty. Despite her age, she caught the eye of any male Yautja. The Prince was delicate with her not leaving any scratches or wounds from their love making.
Makawee took off the Prince's cape and then unhook his belt. "Here?" she asked referring to the room.
The Prince walked over to the lock and pushed it. "I don't think we have had the pleasure in this room." The star map projected on the dome ceiling making it appear as if they were outside at night. The Prince sat down on his chair and invited Makawee over to him.
She placed herself on the Prince's lap and let him enter her. "I want a male this time," she sighed.
"The gods decide such things," the Prince told her. "But I will ask them for you."
"He will be a great warrior with so many other siblings to guide him," Makawee said as she moved her hips on him.
The two purred and touched each other's mandibles as Makawee shifted her hips. The Prince relaxed allowing Makawee to pleasure herself however she wanted.
Lex continued to feel extreme discomfort as she was about to give birth. Kachina stayed in the room bored. Lex wondered what to make of her. It was like they were a lesbian couple giving birth. They were both married to the same male. Did that make them wives or wife-in-laws? Lex tried not to think about the weirdness of her situation. What would her father think of her giving birth to her first child? Never in a million years would her father think he would be the grandfather of an alien monster. Her mother had warned her not to be with a distant man. And now the father of her child and supposed husband wasn't even there.
"Tell the Prince he needs to be here," Lex gasped.
"He is already aware," Kachina said bored.
"Tell him it's an emergency," Lex pressed.
"But it is not an emergency. Your vitals are normal," Kachina objected.
"Just do it!" Lex snarled at her.
Kachina sighed. "Very well, I could use some entertainment."
Kachina called the doctors into the room. "Tell the Prince there is a medical emergency with his seventh wife. Do not question me."
"Yes, Princess," the doctor said sending the signal.
Makawaee arched her back and quickened her thrusts as she was almost there. The Prince simply watched mesmerized as she worked on him. Just as she was about to reach a fantastic orgasm, alarms went off through the palace. Makawee immediately felt drained and all excitement lost. She withdrew from the Prince annoyed.
The Prince got out of his chair and quickly dressed himself. He turned on the hologram in the room and read the doctor's message. "There is a medical emergency with Lex's pregnancy," the Prince told her.
"Then we should go," Makawee said as she straightened her hair and dress.
The Prince faced Makawee. "This birth is just an experiment," he told her.
"The child is from your seed no matter how common the female is," Makawee replied.
The Prince gave her a pleased look. "I love you always," he said.
"As I do you," Makawee affirmed.

Kachina stared at her data pad. "The Prince is coming. You may regret it."
"I don't care. He should be here," Lex said.
The Prince and Makawee strolled through the hospital with little urgency. "What is the emergency doctor?" the Prince asked.
"There is no medical emergency. The Princes is undergoing normal contractions," the doctor said.
The Prince was not surprised. "Today is a good day don't you think?" he asked Makawee.
"Of course, my Prince," she replied.
The Prince turned to the doctor. "I want that child born today. If she doesn't give birth by sunset, cut it out of her," he ordered.
The Prince and Makawee entered Lex's room. She was sweating from the effort and her hair was a mess. The staff were immediately at attention and Kachina bowed her head respectfully to the Prince and Makawee.
"Why is she positioned this way?" Makawee asked.
"It was her preference," Kachina answered.
"Humans give birth this way. They evolved from a primate creature that would walk on all fours. As a consequence of becoming bipedal, humans evolved a narrow pelvis which makes pregnancy very painful and increases the chance of miscarriage and death," the Prince explained.
"My understanding is that Yautja newborns have craniums one and a half times bigger than human newborns," Makawee noted.
Lex felt distressed by Makawee's words. The Prince seemed to notice it as well. "I wish to be alone with her."
"As you wish, my Prince," Makawee said. Kachina exited the room first followed by Makawee.
Once they were gone, the Prince stood next to Lex's bed. "I hope this child makes up for all the times I have wronged you. The child is female and has many human qualities. She will follow your spirit more than mine," the Prince said.
Lex simply stared never hearing this before. "Thank you for coming," Lex said lamely.
"It was a pleasure. However, I do not like to be kept waiting. You have until sunset to give birth or the doctors will remove it surgically. I hope this motivates you," the Prince said.
Lex tensed up as she realized what he meant. "I'm motivated," Lex told him.
"Good," the Prince said and then motioned the doctors to come in.
Lex wasn't sure what she was doing but every instinct told her to push as hard as she could. The Prince was in and out the room. He had invited some of his friends in high places to meet him at the hospital where he then had drinks with them. As the sun was about to set, Lex reached dilation. There was a painful sensation as the uterus pushed the baby down the canal towards the exit.
"The head is now at the opening," the doctor said, but he gave a look of concern. The head was not that of a normal Yautja infant. It was too small. The doctor said nothing not wanting to alarm Lex.
Lex worked to push the baby further until finally the doctor took the entire newborn outside. Lex then fell back on the bed exhausted. Green blood was on the bed sheets from the ordeal. The nurses examined Lex closely for any problems.
Lex then saw the Prince waiting patiently across the room. The doctor approached the Prince with the newborn. The baby female cried with vocal cords that sounded human. The Prince took the infant and stared at it. On her scalp was black hair as expected but the face resembled a human infant. The eyes and nose looked human and there were no mandibles. Instead there was a normal looking mouth. However, the Prince also saw that the newborn's skin was the same color as a Yautja and had patterns on her legs, back, and arms. The arms and legs were tiny but at the end the very ends were small claws.
"She looks so…human," the Prince remarked.
The Prince then walked over to Lex. "You name her," he permitted.
"You have such big eyes," Lex said cuddling the infant. "Naira."
The Prince turned to the doctor. "You are not to speak of this to anyone."
"Yes, my Prince," the doctor said knowing if he did he would be killed.
The Prince then left the room to meet with his friends. "It is a female," he announced.
His friends knew better than to offend the Prince but also knew not to celebrate. "She will bear many sons," one of them said to him. "Your future son-in-law will not doubt be a great warrior," another said.
The Prince clasped hands with each of his friends as they gave their compliments. "Thank you for your kind words. Now, let us drink and eat!"
The Prince then turned to Makawee who was waiting for him. "She gave birth to a female hybrid. She has Yautja and human features. I do not know what the future holds for her, whether she will live or die," the Prince said.
"Today, your experiment was a success my Prince," Makawee said.
"Assign the wives to take care of the infant and Lex," the Prince ordered and then left with his friends.
Makawee eyed the Prince as he left. She was secretly pleased the newborn was female and a hybrid freak at that. Lex was no threat. She found Kachina in one of the waiting rooms. "She has given birth. You will watch over her until you are relieved," Makawee ordered.
"Yes, First Princess," Kachina replied.
Author's Note: Naira means "big eyes" in Quechua and Aymara, Native American languages. The name is to distinguish Naira's human looking eyes to the Yautja's smaller beady looking ones. Makawee means "mothering" in Sioux. Kachina means "sacred dancer" in Hopi. I have hesitated to give the Prince an actual name since he has always been called "The Prince" this entire time and never actually been named by Lex. I had an idea to name him Satanta, which means White Bear in Kiowa and is a play on the word "Satan." Kudos to anyone who names all seven wives in a review on this chapter, three of the seven are already named.
