The 75th Hunger Games
"For the third Quarter Quell, as a reminder to the rebels of how generous the Capitol is, each tribute will receive a second opportunity to come out victorious after they die in the arena." President Coriolanus Snow said as he read out the letter marked '75'.
Head Gamemaker Seneca Crane returned for his fourth and final year. He had strict orders from President Snow to make the arena the most spectacular the Capitol had ever seen. Seneca got a team of 64 Gamemakers to make an amazing arena. The Cornucopia was on a large island in the centre of the arena, on the main island there were many oak trees and ponds and also a dormant volcano that the Gamemakers planned to set it off to kill off some tributes. There were also four smaller islands, one to the North-East, one to the North-West, one to the South-East and one to the South-West. The North-East island was focused on Winter, it was filled with snow and ice, it had igloos for tributes to sleep in, there was also Arctic Fox Mutts and Polar Bear Mutts, those creatures were rediscovered after Seneca read a book about animals made centuries ago. The North-West island was focused on Spring, the island was full of Plains and orchards full of delicious fruit, the only mutts on the Spring Island were harmless birds that flew around happily tweeting. The South-East island focused on Summer, it was mostly desert, but if a tribute ventured far enough, they would find a huge oasis surrounded by pyramids full of weapons and food, the only mutts where mummy mutts that killed tributes that ventured to deep into a pyramid. The South-West island focused on Autumn was full of deciduous trees with red and orange leaves, the only harmful mutts were carnivorous squirrel mutts reused from the previous quarter quell. The safest way to get from one island to another would be to use one of the twelve rowing boats that were provided from the main island, the tributes could of course swim, but the waters were shark infested and it would take significantly longer.
This year the Career Pack was back to 6 members, they were much stronger than the previous year's pack, so they had a better shot at winning. The District 1 Male was talented with swords and had his hair dyed blue and gold, he started a craze amongst Capitol citizens of dying hair blue and gold. The District 1 Female was the youngest Career in the pack and the most talented with a bow and arrow.
The District 2 Male was unusual for District 2, he had bright red hair and dark green eyes with freckles all over his head. The District 2 Female was the leader of the pack, she could use any weapon with a blade and had great hunting instincts. The tributes from District 4 were polar opposites, the District 4 Male had pale skin and blonde hair, he was from a poor family and only just had enough money for him to go to the academy, he was most skilled with a trident. The District 4 Female had dark skin and jet-black hair and she was the niece of the District 4 Mayor, she was most skilled with a mace, an unusual weapon of choice for a tribute from District 4. Their scores were slightly above average, scoring three tens and three nines.
This year there was an Anti-Career Pack, there hadn't been one for the last six Hunger Games, so Capitolites where excited to see one again. The District 3 Female was the youngest in the alliance, she was brilliant with throwing knives. The District 5 Male was a star with bows, crossbows and javelins and excelled in identifying non-poisonous berries. The District 7 Male was the oldest in the alliance and the leader as well, his speciality was axes and throwing axes. The District 7 Female's weapons of choice were harpoons and grappling hooks, she was also brilliant at climbing.
There weren't many other noticeable tributes , but there were a few. The District 3 Male volunteered for his disabled younger brother and the District 9 Female volunteered for her friend, who was reaped.

The Arena
The 24 tributes rose up into the arena, many of them confused about the arena as they saw a volcano, jungle trees and a dock that led to a vast ocean. When the gong rang 23 tributes ran into the Bloodbath, the other tribute, Denel, rushed to the dock, grabbed a boat and rowed off into the distance.
The first Career to reach the Cornucopia was Roman, who grabbed a spear and hurled it at a nearby boy running towards some crates. It hit the boy in his side, and he bled out shortly after.
24th (Life 1)- Deep Maynard (9) killed by Roman (2) – Bloodbath
Deep's body was collected, then seconds later Deep was well again. Deep was put back into the arena, so he grabbed a backpack and ran off into the depths of the jungle before he got killed again.
Then next Career to the Cornucopia was Mya, who grabbed two swords and started annihilating tributes. The first she killed was Anaïs who was running past in attempt to get to the Cornucopia.
23rd (Life 1)- Anaïs Stephenson (8) killed by Mya (2) – Bloodbath
The second tribute she killed was Tommo, who was trying to gather as many items he could find into a large, green duffel bag.
22nd (Life 1)- Tommo Hogan (6) killed by Mya (2) – Bloodbath
When Tommo was brought back, he got onto a boat with his district partner, Tabby and they rowed away into the open ocean.
The youngest girl in the Careers, Emerald and the youngest girl in the Anti-Careers, Giga were duelling at the back of the Cornucopia. Giga threw a knife at Emerald and it hit her in the leg, then Emerald swung a sword at Giga, and it cut deep into her side, killing her
21st (Life 1)- Giga Holloway (3) killed by Emerald (1) – Bloodbath
Cod and Nicolette saw that most tributes ran to the dock after grabbing supplies, so they grabbed their favourite weapons and started killing off tributes that tried to get onto the boats, so they did a good job at killing off tributes attempting to escape.
20th (Life 1)- Barney Hudson (10) killed by Cod (4) – Bloodbath
19th (Life 1)- Arum Hawkins (11) killed by Nicolette (4) – Bloodbath
18th (Life 1)- Charlotte Fox (12) killed by Cod (4) – Bloodbath
Anaïs needed to get off of the Main Island, but she was terrified as the District 4 Pair had killed everyone who had tried to get past them. Then the four Anti-Careers came and pushed Cod and Nicolette into the water. Anaïs took it as her opportunity to escape and ran onto the nearest boat, from there she rowed off into the sea, were nobody could kill her.
After Anaïs had left, the four Anti-Careers got onto boats, Giga and Otis on one, and Turner and Amber on the other, they rowed out to sea, and decided to go to the Spring island.
Roman went in for his second kill. He found a girl grabbing blankets and medical supplies at the back of the Cornucopia and she didn't even notice Roman as he crept up on her. He stabbed her with a sharp, iron sword made especially for him.
17th (Life 1)- Fruity Cunningham (11) killed by Roman (2) – Bloodbath
Mya got the first actual kill, Barney hadn't learned his lesson and he was still collecting supplies, when he saw Mya approaching him, he screamed and started running towards the jungle but Mya threw a throwing knife right into his back, she finished him off by stabbing him with a sword.
24th (Life 2)- Barney Hudson (10) killed by Mya (2) – Bloodbath
Fruity, Arum and Fence got onto the sixth boat, Fruity and Arum had already lost a life and they weren't risking losing another. After they had been in the open ocean for about a minute, Cod tried to make a final attempt to kill one of them off by throwing a trident at their boat, but it missed by a few feet.
The bloodbath was coming to a close, there were only about five outliers still gathering supplies. Cod saw little Thread from District 8 push a knife into the leg of Cod's district partner, Nicolette. As Nicolette screamed in pain as Cod threw a trident into Thread, who died almost instantly.
16th (Life 1) Thread Blankenship (8) killed by Cod (4) – Bloodbath
When Thread regenerated, he regathered his supplies and got into a boat just as Searcher was leaving, the boys rowed out into the ocean and went their separate ways.
Emerald had cornered Cami against a wall on the outside of the Cornucopia and prepared to kill her, suddenly, Cami wacked Emerald with her backpack and dived into a boat and rowed away before Emerald or any of the other Careers could reach her.
Roman got the second actual kill, Charlotte was gathering her last things up at the back of the Cornucopia when Roman found her. Roman threw shurikens at her and Charlotte was gone before she even felt the pain.
23rd (Life 2) Charlotte Fox (12) killed by Roman (2) – Bloodbath
Glory had yet to make a kill, he thought he wouldn't get any kills during the Bloodbath when Maize ran past him, towards the dock, Glory ran after her, but he noticed Cod was also running, so Glory tripped him up and stabbed Maize in the back.
15th (Life 1) Maize Hawkins (9) killed by Glory (1) – Bloodbath
Maize regenerated, grabbed her backpack and ran onto the tenth boat, she rowed away, and the Bloodbath officially ended. Twelve cannons went off.
The remainder of the day was generally quiet, but Seneca decided to set off a shark mutt on the District Six pair. Tommo was the first to see the shark's fin as he was more alert out of the pair, but he didn't tell Tabby as he was completely frozen in fear. Tabby new something was wrong when she noticed Tommo had frozen, then a split second later a shark jumped over the boat and took Tabby with it. Tommo stared in horror as the water around his boat turned red. Tabby's cannon went off.
14th (Life 1)- Tabby Parrish (6) killed by Shark Mutt – Day 1
Seconds later, she regenerated on the boat. The pair stared at each other for a second then rowed twice as fast as they were previously rowing.
By the end of day one most tributes had found a place to sleep for the night. The Careers of course stayed at the Cornucopia, Searcher had gone to the Autumn Island, he felt like the Spring Island would be too popular of tributes and the Autumn Island was the second-best thing. The Anti-Careers had gone to the Spring Island, it had lots of food and lots of places to hide, so it was the best option for them. Cami slept on some rocks in the middle of the ocean, her boat had crashed, but it was still usable, she had tied a rope to the ship and knotted the rope around a thick rock. After Tommo and Tabby's encounter with the shark mutt, they found an empty cruise ship sized boat, which they much preferred to their small rowing boat, so they just tied the rowing boat to a rope hanging off of the edge of the boat and climbed up onto the boat, the pair walked below deck and found, food water and even mildly comfortable beds. Thread had gone to the Winter Island, he had never seen snow or ice before and he just played in it, made snowmen and created snow angels for the remainder of the day. Anaïs had accidentally dropped one of her oars into the ocean, and she found it extremely hard to row with only one oar, so she just let the current take the boat wherever it wanted. Deep was the only tribute other than the Careers to sleep on the main island, he slept in the jungle about half a mile from the volcano. Maize rowed to the Spring Island and got there just after 5pm, from there she walked about a mile and settled down there. The alliance of Fence, Arum and Fruity had also gone to the Spring Island, though they got there much faster than Maize, the trio had almost got to the centre of the Spring Island before it turned dark. Denel was the only tribute to go to the Summer Island, his mentor, Haymitch had told him there were great prizes in the centre of it, so Denel had gone as fast as he could to reach them.
The early hours of Day 2 were quiet, at about 9am Anaïs and her boat washed up on the shore of the Winter Island, Anaïs thought that she was alone until she discovered Thread's ice creations. Anaïs screamed when she heard Thread snoring, which woke Thread up. If it was anyone else Anaïs would have attacked them, but since it was Thread, they made an alliance instead.
At noon back on the Main Island, the volcano silently set off, which made it even more dangerous to the tributes around it. The closest tributes to it were the five hunting Careers: Glory, Emerald, Roman, Mya and Cod. Nicolette was a good distance away, back in the Cornucopia were the lava couldn't reach her. The only other tribute that was in the proximity of the lava was Deep, who was still fast asleep. Roman was the first Career to notice the lava trickling down the volcano, the five hunters were walking about 100 feet away from the base of the volcano and the lava was coming at them fast, Glory noticed Roman was running into the jungle and then he looked up at the volcano and saw the lava about halfway down it. He nudged Emerald and they both started running in the same direction as Roman. Mya and Cod didn't even realise that lava was coming for them or that the rest of their group was gone until they smelt smoke, they looked at the volcano instantly, and the lava had almost reached the bottom. The pair were fast, but the lava was faster, and when Mya tripped over, she was almost instantly consumed by the lava.
13th (Life 1)- Mya Campbell (2) killed by Lava – Day 2
Seconds later it was at Cod's heels, he screamed in pain as he melted into it.
12th (Life 1)- Cod Harrington (4) killed by Lava – Day 2
About twenty seconds later, it caught up to Emerald, she stared at Glory helplessly as the lava consumed her.
11th (Life 1)- Emerald Johnson (1) killed by Lava – Day 2
Glory helplessly stared at were Emerald once was, he stared for so long he did know where he was going and ran directly into a tree. He toppled backwards, straight into the lava, incinerating him.
10th (Life 1)- Glory Jones (1) killed by Lava – Day 2
The lava was 5 feet behind Roman, but then Roman began running up the hill and no matter how much lava poured out of the volcano, it wouldn't go over the hill.
Meanwhile, the lava got one last victim. Deep was fast asleep and didn't even wake to the smell of smoke, the lava consumed him before he even woke up.
22nd (Life 2)- Deep Maynard (9) killed by Lava – Day 2
The four Careers killed by the lava regenerated right next to the Cornucopia, much to Nicolette's confusion. It took Roman two hours to regroup with his fellow Careers. After that, the group decided to just lounge around for the remainder of the day.
As did the other tributes, as nothing to take note of happened after that.
On Early Day 3 not much continued to happen, the Careers decided to not go hunting as they had already lost four of their twelve lives and the other tributes were pretty spaced out. At around noon, Seneca unleashed four giant crab mutts on the Anti-Careers. Otis and Amber easily killed two of them and then they helped Giga kill another. Unfortunately, Turner got killed by the last one before he had a chance to kill it.
9th (Life 1)- Turner Wilkerson (5) killed by Crab Mutts – Day 3
On the Summer Island, Denel had officially gave up. He had been walking for almost 3 days straight and was so dehydrated he could barely even move. He slumped onto the floor and look ahead of him. Then he saw it, the oasis at the centre of the island. He used his remaining strength to run over to it. It was paradise, there were palm trees, pyramids, gold coins, amazing food and a freshwater lake right in the heart of it all. Denel spent the rest of the day exploring the oasis. He only had one encounter with mutts, were he lost his first life.
It happened when he was exploring a pyramid and went into a chamber deep inside it. He opened a door and twenty or so mummy mutts came out and easily killed him.
8th (Life 1)- Denel Ruiz (12) killed by Mummy Mutts – Day 3
Nothing of note happened for the rest of the day.
Day 4 was very quiet as well. The Careers went out hunting again, with only Roman and Nicolette leaving and Glory, Emerald, Mya and Cod guarding the Cornucopia.
Roman and Nicolette rowed around the ocean looking for tributes, eventually, they found a huge, cruise ship sized boat where they took a break. Roman went exploring in the lower decks and found a room with a certain District 6 pair inside. Roman shouted for Nicolette and stabbed Tommo through the stomach.
21st (2nd Life)- Tommo Hogan (6) killed by Roman (2) – Day 4
Adrenaline rushed through Tabby's body as she pushed Roman away and ran towards the hull where she could jump into the water. Little did she know, Nicolette was waiting for her and maced her right in the chest, killing her.
20th (2nd Life)- Tabby Parish (6) killed by Nicolette (4) – Day 4
Nothing else happened for the rest of the day, except for the announcement at midnight. "Representing the 3rd Quarter Quell, three cargo ships full of supplies, weapons and food will be added into the arena, this will be the only announcement."
Early in the morning of Day 5 all tributes had to make a decision, go to the cargo ships, or don't. All 6 Careers went to the largest ship as it held the most supplies and would attract the most tributes as it could be seen from every island. Searcher tried to row to a cargo ship, but he ended up crashing into the Spring Island from a strong current's pull. The Anti-Careers went to the largest cargo ship as well, since they figured out that was where the Careers would go. Cami rowed to the smallest cargo ship, as it was the one nearest to her. Thread and Anaïs went to the middle cargo ship for no specified reason. Maize also goes to the middle cargo ship, as it was the one nearest to her. Fence, Arum and Fruity began heading to the largest cargo ship, though it would take them a while. Denel didn't need to go when he had everything he needed where he was.
At noon, everyone that was going to the cargo ships had got to them except Fence, Arum and Fruity, who were still exhaustedly rowing.
Then it happened.
A megatsunami had just set of at the south-east side of the arena, it would go all the way to north-west side of the arena and then stop.
Denel was the first to see it as it towered over him. He just laughed and embraced his final moments before he died.
19th (Life 2)- Denel Ruiz (12) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
A few minutes later, the megatsunami reached the largest cargo ship, were the Careers and Anti-Careers were battling it out for supplies. The Megatsunami hit, capsizing the boat. Knives and swords fell out of a crate next to Roman puncturing him to death

Emerald was tangled in a rope and was losing breath fast, Glory saw her and tried to help her, and got himself stuck to.

Turner struggled to get out of the ship, as he was in a lower deck when the megatsunami hit. He ran out of breath swimming through flooded hallways.
16th (Life 2)- Turner Wilkerson (5) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
On her way up to the surface a bit of the wrecked cargo ship hit Giga in the stomach, it winded her and removed the remaining air from her lungs.
15th (Life 2)- Giga Holloway (3) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
The mast of the ship disconnected and hurled upwards. Unfortunately, Cod and Otis, who were wrestling, were right in its path, so it shot into them, impaling them both.
6th (Life 1)- Otis Callahan (7) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
14th (Life 2)- Cod Harrington (4) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
Amber, who had watched the whole thing whilst still being underwater, screamed letting water fill up her lungs and eventually killing her.
5th (Life 1)- Amber Blackwell (7) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
Nicolette was the first to reach the surface, then an afterwave collapsed onto her, pulling her apart in the process.
4th (Life 1)- Nicolette McKenzie (4) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
Amber and Otis paddled over to their boat and rowed away as fast as possible whilst Nicolette, Mya and Roman regrouped.
After a few minutes, the megatsunami hit the medium cargo boat. It toppled it onto its side, throwing Anaïs and Thread off in the process. They both ran out of breath before they reached the surface.
13th (Life 2)- Thread Blankenship (8) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5

Maize clenched onto the rim of the ship, but due to the fact that both her hand and the ship were very slippering, she slipped off, falling onto swords and knives floating in the ocean.
11th (Life 2)- Maize Hawkins (9) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
Shortly after, the Megatsunami hit the smallest cargo ship extremely hard, making it do a full 360. Cami hit her head hard against the floor, killing her.
3rd (Life 1)- Cami Phelps (5) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
Fence, Arum and Fruity were all confused about were the large cargo ship went. Then they saw the megatsunami. They started desperately paddling. It hit them, plunging them all into the water. Arum was trapped underneath the boat and lost his breath rather quickly.
10th (Life 2)- Arum Hawkins (11) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
Fence and Fruity rushed to get to the surface, unfortunately, Fence was to slow and died before she reached it.
2nd (Life 1)- Fence Peirce (10) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
Miraculously, Fruity managed to survive the killer wave. She waited until Fence was revived and the pair rowed the opposite direction of the megatsunami.
The final death by the megatsunami was Searcher, who was stranded on the Spring Island.
1st (Life 1)- Searcher Evans (3) killed by Megatsunami – Day 5
After the megatsunami got a whopping 17 deaths over the course of twelve minutes, all tributes decided to go to their respected islands. Therefore, there were no more deaths for the rest of the day.
On Day 6, there were a few more deaths. Nicolette and Mya went hunting while Roman stayed at the cornucopia. When the sun was high in the sky, the girls came across Fence and Fruity. Nicolette flung her axe at them, it hit Fence straight in the back, she was knocked unconscious and began to bleed out, killing her.
9th (Life 2)- Fence Peirce (10) killed by Nicolette (4) – Day 6
Fruity screamed and started running, only to be caught up by Mya, who stabbed her with a sword twice.
8th (Life 2)- Fruity Cunningham (11) killed by Mya (2) – Day 6
Since the eighth and ninth deaths were in such close proximity to eachother, the final seven was done instead of eight. They were: Roman Shenton and Mya Campbell from District 2, Searcher Evans from District 3, Nicolette McKenzie from District 4, Cami Phelps from District 5 and Otis Callahan and Amber Blackwell from District 7.
One more death was made that day. Searcher was out fishing in the open ocean when a shark mutt smashed his boat in two. Then it doubled back on itself and swallowed Searcher whole.
7th (Life 2)- Searcher Evans (3) killed by Shark Mutt – Day 6
On Day 7, Seneca knew the finale was growing near, but he wanted there to be two or three more deaths before it started. The Careers went hunting once again, Mya guarded whilst Roman and Nicolette went hunting. Otis and Amber didn't do much for most of the day, they just lay around and gathered food. Cami just waited on the Autumn island.
After hunting for a few hours with no luck, Roman and Nicolette stop at an island to take a break. Roman wandered around and found a makeshift campfire, it was still warm. He brought Nicolette over to it and they silently wandered around, searching for any sign of human life. Eventually, they came across Cami, who was sitting on the floor picking flowers.
Nicolette charged towards Cami, who yelped and began to run. Nicolette easily caught up to her and stabbed her with a broad sword. With the last energy Cami had, she pulled a knife from her belt and stabbed Nicolette through the chest.

"The Finale is beginning, be at the Cornucopia within one hour, or you will be killed." blasted Seneca across the arena.
Other than Mya, Roman was the first back to the Cornucopia. When Mya saw a figure, she poised to attack. But she calmed down when she saw it was Roman.
"No Nicolette?" she asked.
"District 5 Girl killed her." Replied Roman.
Around twenty minutes later, Amber and Otis arrived.
Roman made the first move, lunging forward at Amber, but Amber's instincts were to quick and Roman missed. Otis saw what Roman tried to do, so he threw an axe at Roman's back. Roman fell to the ground, dead.
4th (Life 2)- Roman Shenton (2) killed by Otis (7) – Day 7
In reaction, Mya jumped off of the Cornucopia and slashed Otis' back open. He died quickly.
3rd (Life 2)- Otis Callahan (7) killed by Mya (2) – Day 7
For five minutes, Mya and Amber battled it out until Mya made a fatal mistake. She spent a few valuable seconds taking a breather. Amber saw her chance. With one swing of her axe, Amber had killed Mya.
2nd (Life 2)- Mya Campbell (2) killed by Amber (7) – Day 7

Amber marries age 18 and has five children in her lifetime. She hardly ever drank alcohol but did develop a severe case of aquaphobia. She dies around the time of the one-hundred-and-forty-eighth Hunger Games due to old age.
On Amber's Victory tour, most districts showed her great gratitude except for District 2, who instead gave her the cold shoulder.
