Traveling for a few days after, Raven stays by me. And for some reason to Starclan, she calls me Papa. I'm still mean and hateful to her but she still loves me. Catching two mice, Raven eats one while I eat mine.
With Raven only two moons old, she won't survive on her own, so, I'm stuck with her, fox-dung. Cleaning my face, Raven curls at my belly. Growling, I move away, Raven falls to the bedding. Going out the pit, Raven scurries after and climes on my back.
Huffing, I begin trekking through the underbrush. Raven lays curled on my back, she doesn't say anything. Close to Sundown, I stop, Raven climes off as I dig a little den in the grass. While I do, Raven is under paw but moving the dirt around and out my way. The feeling in my chest swells but I ignore.
Raven pulls a pile from under me I hear her screech. Whipping around, a rogue tom has her pinned. "Papa. Papa, help." Raven screeches. My claws come out,a growl coming from my throat. "She's not even your's, I've been following you. I killed her mother, my former mate and she escaped before I could make her my slave..." I don't hear no more as I charge.
Howling in rage and fury, I bowl the piece of crowfood over. The tom tries to claw me, I pin him down. "This is a warning, come near me or Raven, I'll send you to the dark forest." I snarl. Letting go, Raven looks behind me. "Daddy." She yells.
I whip around, tom swipes at me, clawing my eyes. Blood in my vision, snarling, I ram him hard into the tree behind hem. Tom hits is with a sickening crunch. His spine is broken. Raven comes to my side, I pick her up and place my kit on my back.
"Let this be a warning. Raven is my kit, I'll protect her and raise her. She's mine and will forever more be." I snarl. The tom dies, I turn away and go back to the pit.
Raven climes down, I crouch over her while digging and she moves the dirt. The pit finished, I make the nest and curl up after putting Raven in the middle.
Curling around Raven, I hear her purrs and she nuzzlings into my side. "Night Daddy." She says. Curling tighter, I purr as well. "Night, my little birdie." I say and fall asleep.
