Two moons have past, I spend them hunting with warrior's, helping the elders as there aren't apprentices yet, but mostly helping Hawkeye gather herbs. When Raven is climing on top of me, she says I smell of herbs and honey.

I'm in Hawkeye's den, sorting the piles while he's traveling to Moonpool. Stormshadow walks in, he's holding a paw off the ground. "Um..Tigerclaw, you mind." He ask. Taking his paw and turning it, four thorns are embedded in his pad. Leaning down, I pull the thorns out. Grabbing a small bundle of cobwebs, I press it onto his paw. Taking Dock, chewing it, I squeeze the juice on the cobweb and wrap the poultice in the cobwebs.

Stormshadow looks at the wrap, smiling. "Thanks. I'll do as asked." He says. Stormshadow leaves and I go into the storage area. Making notes on what Hawkeye is low on, I hear running. "Daddy, daddy." Raven calls panicked. Turning to my daughter, I see her fur on and and eyes wide.

"Morningstar is kittening." She says. Grabbing Chervil and running, I head for the nursery. Close to sunrise, Morningstar has four kits laying beside her. I check them and their mother over, noding to her mate Gorsepelt. Padding out and heading to Hawkeye's den, I flop on the bedding and fall asleep.

When Hawkeye gets here, I'm still tired but am sorting the herbs. Giving hem a nod, I turn and head out. Laying in my bedding, I close my eyes but open them to something jabbing my side. Opening my eyes, a cat, tom with stars in his fur is before me.

Sitting up as the tom stands, he beckons me to follow. Following, he begins speaking. "I'm Wolfspirit, first leader of Wolfclan. I watch over my clan. Hawkeye has been looking for an apprentice for a while and none of the apprentices have shown interest. I know where and how you came to my beloved clan. I'd like to ask..."

"If I'd stay and become Hawkeye's apprentice." I say. "You don't have to ask, Wolfspirit. Last night was the push I needed. I'll be honored to walk the path of a Medicine cat. I've lost my taste for blood." Wolfspirit nods. "May Spiritclan guild you." He says as smoke surrounds me.

Opening my eyes, dawn light filters through the den. Getting up, padding up, only a few clanmates are out. Going across the clearing, I go to the willow tree. "Hawkeye." Russling sounds as Hawkeye looks out at me. He smiles "Come in, we have much to discuss and you have a lot to learn." he say, turning back in.

I follow, entering the next chapter of my life. I'm now Tigerclaw, Medicine Cat apprentice of Wolfclan.

A few days later, me, Hawkeye and Sorenspirit are below Highledge. The clan whispers as Sorenspirit raises her voice. "Tigerclaw came to us as a rogue who was exiled for trying to kill his leader. Now, he has chosen the path of being a Medicine Cat." Me and Hawkeye turn to each other. Hawkeye touches his nose to mine and I close my eyes.

The next half-moon, I follow Hawkeyeto Moonpool. Walking up to the waterfall, Frostbite and three others are waiting. "Oh, Tigerclaw, you did choose the path of Medicine cat." Frostbite says, running up and rubbing her cheek on mine.

Hawkeye goes before Moonpool

"Tigerclaw, is it your wish to enter the mysteries of Spiritclan as a medicine cat?" Hawkeye asks

"It is." I respond.

Hawkeye smiles "Then come forward." I join hem beside the Moonpool

"Warriors of StarClan, I present you with this apprentice. They have chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant them your wisdom and insight so that they may understand your ways and heal their Clan in accordance with your will" Hawkeye says and gestures me to to pool.

Leaning down and lapping the water. I curl up and fall sleep. Half-moon passes, I'm joining Wolfclan to a gathering. After I became his apprentice, Hawkeye threaded crow two feathers on top of my head beside my ear. They drape down, sweeping out to the sides and touch my shoulders.

Hawkeye and the other full Medicine Cats have different feathers but the most common they share is the blue jay. Crossing the tree to the island, I officially become a member of the lake.
